Was anyone else booted out of the event? Half an hr ago i opened the game it said the event was over even though today is the 28th. The event questline is still there but event gone. I was so close to finishing Penn and had a rainbow card to get Cleveland, the only character i didnt have, but before i got to use it the event said it was over even though its not supposed to end until tmrw..

So, I got David Copperfield and started his quest. After that, the game has crashed ALL day, I haven’t been able to play for nearly 12 hours. I’ve rebooted, uninstalled, reinstalled, and I I still can’t play. I’m on Android. Anyone else having problems?

All I have done is alternate between red and black each time… so if it’s red I do black next time… I’ve had green once but I have not bet on green at all.
I now have enough for the last building but not sure it’s worth it… need a couple of items for David…. no clams spent so far.

So somehow i just managed to unlock David Copperfield in the nick of time to get the 25 clams but I’m still curious if it’s worth buying the big slot machine for 80 silver certificates or are they more useful in week two? I haven’t moved on yet so haven’t seen how useful the silver rewards are in week two or how much good the extra silver coins would be.. Thanks for any input anyone has

I posted below my strategy and wanted to repost here to try and help folks who seem to have alot of grief and agony over the win rate for the roulette. As of today, I got Peter costume and 5th building which rewards 2 tokens. Although nowhere near from unlocking David Copperfield, I feel less stressed.
Don’t be tempted by trying for green as i have had more luck betting red and black alternately. I did bet on green twice and ended up kicking myself as I did not win.

You should’ve bet on Green 5 times and it would’ve paid out. That’s what I did and it came up on the 5th go. This isn’t a truly fair roulette – there are algorithms determining whether you will win or lose and just giving us a false sense of choice.

Free clans fir playing other games etc? If you’re not awarded the clams. Take screenshot showing you’ve completed the offer then submit a missing clam ticket. I find the clams are then awarded

My “strategy” has become
1) Wait four hours for Lois to drop coins;
2) Lose at roulette and collect one silver card;
3) check on cost of Peter costume;
4) check how far away I am from collecting another building (1/38 just now); 5) Curse TinyCo;
6) Repeat…
This is going to be a LONG event…

Well, I must say that my luck with Roulette has also been, as near as I can tell, completely by chance, and pretty close to 50/50, as it should be. (Green has never come up yet, but red/black seem about even.) And I am betting the same colour every time, just to ensure that it should be “fair” each time. If you calculate the odds on Green, they are less than 1/5th chance at 5 times payout, so in all, I think red or black are slightly better odds in the long run… and it seems we may be in for a rather long run! 🙂 If you are complaining that this particular event relies on “nothing but luck”, then I think you should stop complaining! That’s how Vegas was built!!! 😀

0/10 in the last 48 hours on the wheel – extremely frustrating…I messaged TinyCo again, we’ll see although I have no idea what they can do beyond increasing the roulette wheel odds…the Peter costume requires roulette wins to earn when playing freemium, so may be two-three more days to get him…this one is going nowhere fast and the clam bank is shut for duration as spending for anything in this event just feels like I’m rewarding TinyCo for bad behavior…ugh…

Checking on an in game difference, on the fifth building the fountain says it drops coins but in my game in the shopping cart it say disappearing cloth, do you have an idea what the drop actually is.

I finally last night got the Peter costume which took me about a day longer than I anticipated because the drop rate for rhinestones wasn’t very common. The problem is once I use the handful of cigarette packs I had I’m done until the wheel decides to bless me with some more. I haven’t won a round of roulette since I believe Friday. I’m starting to not really care about this event due to the terrible odds at the table.

Playing for strategy, you literally have to do only Green.
Green gives 5x the rewards that both Red and Black do. In order to really make any progress with both Impersonator Peter and David Copperfield, I found that you can only bet on Green because even if you lose multiple times, the payout is worth more than you’d ever get from betting on either Red or Black (as they only payout at a multiplier of 1x).
You can lose 4 times on Red or Black, but get Green once and it instantly makes up for everything. And including what other people’s results are, even at 10 losses, two green’s still make up for the RNG% chance you have with betting on Red or Black.
It may sound weird since it basically means you’re always betting only on the hardest one to land, but unlike actual casinos, the RNG chance isn’t rigged since it’s built in a way to sustain the standard RNG factor that occurs in most games (I.E., Overwatch lootboxes). Having bet on Green only, I’ve found that I actually have a better time with Green than I have with either Red or Black, since the rewards more than make up for what you need.
Tl;dr: Bet on Green. No matter how small it is, the payout of Green Vs. the payout of Red and Black far outweighs the perceived chance to win.

I’m same as abbasito. No Green hits at all. If I had done this I would not even have Peter’s costume yet. And now since I used up the cigs I earned earlier, with 6 misses in a row I’m at a standstill.

Well, I started betting on green every time after the first couple of days and it hits for me every 2 to three times. I’ve completely blown through the shop and have been stockpiling for quite a while. Maybe i’ve been lucky, but even so, the payout for cigs (once you have Peter’s costume) is 30 Cards, plus the 20 you get for the win, plus the extra items for Copperfield. It’s counterintuitive, and again maybe luck, but I recommend always betting on green.

Green will come up if you bet on it. Remember that this is a rigged TinyCo roulette wheel, and not something truly fair. I had my doubts as I hadn’t had any greens either, but I bet on green 5 times and it paid out on the 5th one.

Odds of landing on Green, 1 in 15, or 6.7%.
Odds of landing on either Red or Black, 7/15, or 46.7%.
Of course, you will win 5 times the stuff on Green, so that increases the “payout” to 5 x 6.7% or effectively 33.3%. I think Red or Black are better bets, IF we assume the odds are based on the actual segments in the wheel, and the spins are truly random. (Of course, if TC’s algorithms are written differently, only a lot of testing would reveal the actual odds.) 🙂

echoing many others here but the roulette wheel is really going to hamper progress in this oddly-longer-than-it-should-be event.
I’ve got a 2/15 success rate so far – if i bet red it’s black, bet black, comes in red. never in any of those 15 has it landed on green.
So current tactic is stockpile a load of chips and then just do 4 or 5 attempts back to back – bet green 4 times, if it only comes in one time then it’ll be worth it.

Just sharing what I found in my game. Started with reds consistently then once I went through about 8 times, I switched to black. Only once did I land on green but did not bet on it. I’d go with 2 or 3 reds until I hit red then switch to black for next 2 to 3 times. So far, success rate of about 50% I guess. Just received Peter Impersonator and working on 4th deco item. Slightly easier to get more silver cards with Peter due to his payout. But again, the grind lies with the Roulette.

As it’s random I can’t see getting very far at any predictable rate. Looks like this event is truly luck based. Have been betting red (green once), but it’s just been red or black. Very tough game given the 1 try per (minimum) of 4 hours.

My strategy from the beginning has been to play black every time. I haven’t kept track exactly but i think i am close to, or approaching the expected 47% win rate, which is really the best that can be expected. I’m close to unlocking the wagering whale, which will definitely help with getting tokens/spins.

Done the roulette wheel about 10 times so far. 3 times out of 10 it’s hit green (despite it having a 1-in-15 chance if every space is equally likely). So I’ve started betting green every time. Second time I tried, green hit and I won 20 silver cards, versus the 1 silver card I get for betting wrong or 4 for guessing right for red or black. So I’m just going to pick green every time, and if the breakdown is anywhere close to what I’ve seen in the first few days, I expect to do a lot better than picking red or black, at least over time. Will follow up in a few days to let everyone else know how this worked out for me.

I’m also betting only green and so far it has hit green twice 🙂 I’m also noticing a pattern, at least in my game, first it hits red or black, then will hit the opposite colour (if red is the first it will hit black on the second), the third will be the same colour that had hit in the first time, the fourth time green and then it starts again the pattern. I will keep checking if there really is a pattern.

I’m 0-2 on green and 3-10 on black. A green win is worth 5X either a red or black win, so curious as to your long-term results – yes, keep us posted, please. At this point, with the poor win rates, the snail’s pace of play and the fact that realistically one can only collect 4 times a day from Lois (pesky sleep, job and family commitments), playing green probably’s as good as anything…
I do have the Peter costume down to a buy-out of 168 clams, but that’s way too much IMHO in this event…not spending clams at all here…but again, the win rate is so low that to completely unlock the Peter costume freemium will still take 2 – 3 days…
Still stuck on earning the third building, 11/14 silver cards so far, I should get that tomorrow…the fourth is 28 (TWENTY-EIGHT, TINYCO?!? REALLY????) so that’s going to be a really long time coming…

You need to stay on green for it to payout. I can only speak for my recent experience, but I am currently 1-5 on green. That is basically a 100% success rate if I was guessing red or black for the same 5 spins.

I thought about betting green everytime after green came out my 2nd spin, but it hasn’t hit again so I’m glad I didn’t. I did purchase Joe so I’d have 2 spins every 4 hrs and I’d say I’m close to 50% winning betting red or black. Just need the last 2 buildings and except for the straight jackets, which I’m 4/19, I’m about half way to Copperfield. Good luck with the green, I’m curious to know how it works out for you

Not sure TinyCo is doing itself any favors on this one as it appears to be a slog-fest in the early going…with Lois the only freemium option for dropping coins and with the poor win rates at the roulette wheel, this event it really slow-going with no real incentive for throwing away perfectly good clams, IMHO…
I did purchase the $4.99 character bundle with event currency to see if the 8 coins would help me out…plus, I’m all about characters, so that was just the clincher…the four coin drops (so far) from Lois and the purchased coins yielded 2/8 wins (25%) from the roulette wheel which, judging from the comments I’ve seen, is on the high side of the win rate…yikes…
The premium options are to purchase the Circus Joe costume and the FGF Fountain at 210 and 220 clams respectfully…while my first inclination was to purchase the Joe costume, I’ve held off as others have reported he doesn’t really help due to the poor win rate…the FGF Fountain just falls into the category of being yet another overpriced deco that will be useless in less than 18 days, so definitely passing on that one…again, JMHO…
I am not a full premium player, hardly, but I will spend clams and play mid-premium when I feel there is value for my entertainment dollars…in this case, at least so far, as long as TinyCo is not showing us love, I don’t feel the need to reciprocate…

I agree. I got the bundle too. The price was good & i’ve been wanting Greased Up Deaf Guy ever since I saw him in the game. The extra coins that came with him for the roulette was nice, got 1 out of 4. I don’t do Vegas stuff anyway so, having to do the roulette is ughh. It’s a bust in my opinion for free & freemium player. Surprised Bonnie isn’t helping with the tourist.

I’m not sure what character bundle you are talking about. I see nothing like that in my game. I did get a pop up to buy Bertram for $4.99 before the event started, but it had no impact or benefit towards the current event.
I feel I’ve been cheated now seeing that others were able to buy a character and get coins for the event. 😦

Today I finally got the bundle deal that popped up. In my case it is for Pop Star Cleveland, 8 tokens and a Vegas Fountain Show prop. I’m on the fence whether I want to get it or not. At least I can now see what others were talking about.

Just to mention, Android update is out and works for me now. My pure and simple strategy is to just unlock David C. as he is not timed so we can start collecting his items. But this will take place same time as Impersonator Peter. And likely you won’t get the bonus clams.
Another way is to get to the point where you almost or halfway to unlocking Impersonator Peter before you repair and trigger David C., so you can have a better chance to collect bonus clams. If not, above strategy works well. Realized it may take a long while to get Peter due to Lois being the only person to clear tourists and get tokens for the Roulette, which is also not an always win.

On Android as well, if your game is linked (Facebook, Google, etc), try an uninstall and install as that worked for me…It also brought me right into the event rather than having to manually login after the tutorial…
Also had the issue with checking out a player from Tan Lines – re-started the game and it’s been fine so far…
