  1. Something to consider as we reach the point where there becomes less than three days before the Week Two content drops: Spending 75 stars for any of the Tier One characters/costumes means that you would need to collect 19 salmon (for 76 stars) to equal the 75 stars spent. I figure I can collect only six times daily from these three-hour tasks (assuming not collecting during sleep time), so that means 18 collections over three days which would only be 72 stars and that is requiring a perfect 18-for-18 drops for salmon. So while getting more characters who can do salmon-dropping tasks early in the event was the right strategy, at some point holding on to those stars is the better plan if you want to start the Week Two content on time. Just something to consider as the event moves along.

  2. Want to recommend a strategy. I starred event with costumes for Chris, Peter, and Lois, and new characters Drago and Rocky. These definitely helped as i have more characters to collect salmons. Agree that it will be quite tough to collect enough red stars quickly if you have none of these characters. Even so, I’d recommend that once you have enough red stars, to quickly get one or two new Tier 1 characters. I feel it does not make sense to just prioritize to get 210 stars for Giant Chicken only because you need 3 to 4 days at least to collect hammers for the two buildings needed on drops for Giant Chicken too.

Today, after 2 days, I have added 1 new character for Tier 1 and one building. The next one needs 52 hammers so more characters, the better. In conclusion, I’d target to get 2 more new characters then focus on getting red stars for Giant Chicken.

  3. Does anyone know if the mystery box is sticking around for week 2 or does it go away with the Rocky characters?

  4. If you didn’t play the Rocky event earlier in the year you are at a massive disadvantage in this event .. it’s likely to put off a lot of newer players

  5. 1 hammer drop per salmon is VERY stupid.

  6. How are you getting salmon? Boxer Peter isn’t collecting stars, and I don’t have any of those other characters.

    • Boxer Peter has a 4hr task that should always drop 1 Red Star – the task is “See Stars”

To get salmon you’ll need start unlocking, buying the other characters

  7. So for first week, I’m thinking if I should use the stars to pick up the rocky new full characters ( in my game diedre and Clubber) to help generate more stars more quickly for Mrs chicken or maybe mystery box- love to get principal shepherd. If rocky characters are gone after week one, and there’s no “timer” on Mrs chicken… does this make sense? I guess drawback might be delaying collection for week two unless stars won’t help there? I already had Chris’ costume so essentially main quest line already completed for week one- so curious to see what you think?

  8. I think the first thing you need to do is determine what you want to get out of week one. I have Drago, Rocky, Lois and Chris and they all are working on salmon. Before the week is out I want to get the three salmon-dropping characters I don’t have and the four items that are available to me in the mystery box. I have calculated that I need 405 stars to do this. The first 75 are going toward Clubber or Deidre because they are new characters and have a three-hour drops for salmon. The next 75 goes to the other, again because of the three-hour drop. The next 75 goes to Stewie before the mystery box items because he has a three-hour drop. Then the next 45 increments will be used for the mystery box. Assuming I will have seven characters working on salmon and stars at this point, my focus can turn to Mrs. Chicken who is available for all two weeks. I hope to stall the questline so week two doesn’t happen until I am ready since everyone goes away once week two starts. Now if only I can guess which 2017 event characters will be dangled in front of us during week two!
