Took me about 2 years to finally get enough Stewie bucks for Evil Monkey! Better late than never. But I am still holding out and not cashing in first. Just for fun. Hooray to me I guess. Yay.

I just finished this event (without spending any real money to do so) and this is only the second time in a little over two years of playing that I have. Now I remember why I don’t care if I do finish them. All you get is coins and experience points for completing the quest? Really?!?!? I have over 10m in coins and I’m at level 90 for xp points. I don’t need more coins to just sit and collect because they are basically useless. Why can’t they make it worth while and give a good amount of clams or a free character you only get for finishing. I loved this theme for the quest which is why I tried so hard to finish. Back to not caring if I finish them again. Why bother when there is no real prize for doing so

I would also suggest they let us pay 10 million coins for kool aid man.
Never understood how he can be (I’m guessing here) like 750 clams!
Good event overall, I did not get Stewie, came up 2 things short.
I don’t even do the Stewie bucks anymore lol.

I agree with Amanda, these events feel more like an obligation or job, they’re stressful when they should be fun. The worst part is the chance factor, when you’re doing everything you can for these events and whether or not you win something hinges on if the tasks gives you the reward that takes 8+ hours and nothing comes out.

To be honest this event is easier than past events, believe me then even being in your game 24hrs a day didn’t guarantee you getting characters unlocked. This is still tough but nowhere near what we were seeing 6 months ago. But I agree there’s been few too many 8hr drops which gets players nervous.

Little miffed that Lord Doom has been part of the story throughout the event but ended up as a chance character from a mystery crate.

There’s been a bunch of events like that – the recent ‘Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ where Ted was a premium character…geesh…

Maybe it’s just me but the game has changed somewhat considerably from when I started playing. Back then (2-3 yrs ago) you could play, do and complete the events and be happy. I looked forward to playing and actually missed the game. Now it’s like an obligation, and I don’t get as far in the events anymore. Sorry but my job & sleep is more important. I love the game still…it’s kind of exciting to see what event is going to be next. I do like the fact that TinyCo is bringing back old chars in the offer…but PLEASE let us pay with in game currency for these, or have some kind of option. A lot of us have coins & Stewie Bucks piling up. I don’t mind spending money when I can and supporting the game, but it’s sad that a lot of these offers come when I can’t afford it and I have 7m+ coins & I don’t know how much in Stewie Bucks.

I have been playing FGQS for two years. I do not consider my the time spent playing as an investment as I play to waste time and I have only spent $20 or so when I started. If the game should down that would be a shame but I had a good two years. It is only an “abusive relationship” if your eyes are not open going in in. I have played many games that changed too much or totally shut down and I just found another one. Do not invest more than you are cool with losing in an online game or fall in love with it as it will one day break your heart if you let it. The game owes us nothing.

What the deuce?!
TinyCo in their Avengers Academy 2.0 update have irrevocably shifted the game into the absolute furthest state of deviating from its original vision of having a school vibe. Pre-event we were funnelled into developing a small number due to the types and only some being available eg Loki was the only Cosmic. Plus many premium characters’ perks are gone now with the new system. Then, events turn out to use only FOUR characters thus meaning a lot of our prep work was wasted.
TinyCo have never had much transparency but they have found a way of further trampling over the players and making them lose value for their prior hard work / luck / investment.
Family Guy will be messed up before long anyway, just watch. Remember the sunk cost fallacy and switch to other games where playing them isn’t an abusive relationship.
