Should I Buy: Again I think a lot will depend on how you feel about this event and if you’re a sports fan. But that always drop of an essential material every 4hrs will be very handy. She will help you to be able to start attacking the Committee Official quicker, but she won’t make it easy, the amounts materials needed to attack are too high for this one character to help a lot.

Should I try: It’s a leer amount of clams on a game of chance, sure TinyCo have listened and removed the repeatable materials, but there’s a lot of buildings and decorations lurking in the box if you don’t already have them and are they worth 60 Clams? No!!! But the odds recently do seem to be a bit higher of winning a good prize. But as I say the high amount of buildings and decorations being in there are a real sting in the tail.
SPEED SKATERS
These are this weeks little baddies and are quite simple to deal with, it’s just more of the tap, target and fire we’ve seen in previous events. Before you can clear them you’ll need to get some Marbles, you’ll get them here:
Marble (Common) – Mort Stock Marbles, Bruce Lose His Marbles, Buy from Store
Once you have a Marble you will find Speed Skaters wandering your sidewalks Simply tap one of them to bring up the targeting screen, then move the Marble until the green target circle is on a Speed Skater, you’ll know it’s in target as it will turn purple, then simply hit the check mark to clear the Speed Skater. You can only clear 1 at a time.
I am seeing up to a maximum of 8 in my game.

COMMITTEE OFFICIAL BOSS BATTLE
Similar to last week and previous events, there’s a big boss to battle, and you’ll find him wandering your sidewalks with a timer above him.
And to bribe (attack) him, you as always here need to collect a resource, however this week you’ll need collect 3 resources, Cruise Vouchers, Bags Of Cash and Fruit Baskets. You’ll then use these to attack the Committee Official at Levels 1-5 in order to gain rewards which will help you in the event. However the resource needed can change each level. So first grab yourself some Cruise Vouchers, Bags Of Cash and Fruit Baskets.

Once you have some resources gathered you will be able to bribe the Committee Official. Once you tap him you will see the Attack screen, showing how many of which resources is required to battle at that level. You’ll also see the rewards for Attacking him at that Level, and the time you have left to defeat him to 5x before he reverts back to 1x. Below you can see it’s Bags of Cash required.
And that’s it, you basically want attack him to as high a level you can or fully defeat him before his 24hr timer runs down. Once it does he will go to sleep for 5 minutes and you’ll need wait for him to return to start attacking again at 1x.
And here are the Requirements and Rewards for the levels:

Cost to Attack: 4 Cruise Vouchers or 4 Bags of Cash or 4 Fruit Baskets
Reward: 20 Gold Medals & 1 Sequins
Level 2X
Cost to Attack: 7 Cruise Vouchers or 7 Bags of Cash or 7 Fruit Baskets
Reward: 35 Gold Medals & 2 Sequins
Level 3X
Cost to Attack: 11 Cruise Vouchers or 11 Bags of Cash or 11 Fruit Baskets
Reward: 55 Gold Medals & 3 Sequins
Level 4X
Cost to Attack: 16 Cruise Vouchers or 16 Bags of Cash or 16 Fruit Baskets
Reward: 80 Gold Medals & 4 Sequins
Level 5X
Cost to Attack: 22 Cruise Vouchers or 22 Bags of Cash or 22 Fruit Baskets
Reward: 110 Gold Medals & 5 Sequins

I’m actually having the reverse problem that many others have: I have 2 officials walking in my town! 😂 I haven’t updated to the latest version yet, which I’m sure will fix it but it looks really funny.

So now I have two committees officials walking around, with two different requirements. One needs 4 vouchers and the other needs 4 cash bags. Both are at the first level after my timer ran out when I only had one official walking around.

I never had a problem with my Committee Official missing, but now I have 2 of them walking around. The requirements are the same for both, 1x is 4 baskets, but the timer is off by a hour and 8 minutes which is probably the last time I logged in. Weird, we’re not supposed to have 2 right?

I don’t see how we can get very far on bribing the Official if we don’t know which item will be required next. And since only a handful of characters have to choose what to produce, based on pure guesswork…
Plus the not actually common drop-rates — despite what the game says… I liked last Event a lot better.

It makes it more difficult, I’m not keen on this way with bosses at all, not with the high number of resources needed.

I did purchase Kyrie at the beginning of the event and he helped early, but given that this is a mini-event and with only costumes to earn, I’m passing on Vonn…RT pointed out (correctly, IMHO) that the material demand this week is too much for one character to really boost, so not a good value…
Same with the Mystery Box, yes, 60 clams is an improvement, but way too many decos and buildings for me…I’ll pass on spending clams for the rest of the event…

This phase seems needlessly complicated with the amount of different “currencies” running and that the same characters are used to collect all of them. Hopefully I’m wrong. Glad the speed skaters are not cleared by launcher.

The Committee Official has vanished from my game in week two (someone mentioned this on the other post too). I am at Hostbusters Pt. 3 and if I click the “go” button for that task it just closes the quest window. I have raised it with support but maybe someone knows a solution already?

week 2 is fun .. i had like 25 snowballs so i removed lots of curlers and got lots of the items for Lois .. and made enough medals to place Bonnie’s skirts building .. i can get her in time if the marbles drops acted as common .. so far i got 1 out of each 2 tasks in the 3 times i sent the guys on tasks ..
the Judge is getting greedy .. luckily i was able to collect 4 money bags for him and i had enough fruit baskets to bribe him twice in a row .. but now he wants 11 (i think?) cruise tickets so i’m collecting materials for each bribe .. for when he sleeps and wakes up ..

When Phase Two launched, my committee official vanished. I thought maybe we needed to reintroduce him in the game because new materials were needed. Then, I reached the second part of the new quest line where one of the tasks is to bribe him and he still has not appeared. I have three pieces of road (have done that for more than a year now) so I am confident he is not hiding and when I click on the task button it doesn’t take me to him.
I have done a complete reinstall and in-game messaged TinyCo. Just in case there are others in same predicament.

Yikes! TinyCo needs to hire a statistician, at least for an afternoon, to explain the difference between, ‘Chance’, ‘Common’ and ‘Uncommon’ as I’m not seeing a difference – they are all uncommon/rare…grrrr…
Question – does the Official disappear until you have at least one of each object with which to bribe him? He’s gone now, but I don’t have Bags of Cash, so I figure he may return at that point…
Not loving this one, too frustrating and for a bunch of costumes only…
