  1. Something just happened to me that has happened in past events, and I have to say something about it.

I had three curlers in the crosshairs, one standing still, and the others walking in from both sides. I clicked to fire a snowball. There was a pause before the thing loaded up and fired away, and by the time it did fire, two of them had walked out of range. That’s annoying. When you click “fire,” you expect it to fire away. Those pauses have cost me countless times in events over the last few years. There’s no reason for the delay. The targets should at least stop dead in their tracks until the shot is fired. Once your shot is on the way, if they resume moving and dodge your shot, fine. But if your firing mechanism is paused and they’re not, that gives the game an unfair advantage. Everything should stop for that few seconds you have to wait.

  2. I have not been a fan of this phase of the event. Drop rates across the board have been terrible, despite a lot of the items being labelled common. The requirements to get the store items (like the buildings you have to collect as part of the main questline) are way too high considering the only good way to pile up items is to bribe the official, but they made his requirements too high as well considering the drops for his items (not sure why they had to have 3 different ones) are terrible. They compounded this by having way too much character overlap for item collection. I’m lucky to get one of each bribery item per collection cycle, and snowballs basically had to stop for awhile since I needed Jerome and Quagmire to get items for Bonnie. Even the marble drops have been bad, as a common drop I have gotten a drop from both characters on the same collection cycle exactly once, while I received no drop from either 4 times. Not cool. Usually by this point in the event, things are rolling smoothly, but I feel like I’m stuck on day one with progress. WHAT THE DEUCE?!?!

TLDR: Too many currency types, same characters overlap for collection, awful drops, requirements for items too high.

Think I will take the next event off unless the theme is something I can’t miss. Shame, I was optimistic after the He-Man event was so good.

    • There is no real reason to follow the main questline in the final week of an event

      • That’s terrible game design then. If your primary questline can barely be finished by someone who plays regularly within the time allowed it wasn’t designed well.

        • I think this game is all about make no choucrs, completing everything isn’t always an option. But I feel sad that Questlines get abandoned as the writers put lot work into them and so much goes unread.

          • Thats my problem too, I just wanna see the payoff for the storyline. Missing extra stuff like the Secret Spy Brian doesn’t bother me at all, but the core storyline should be easily completeable, especially when I’m playing regularly (at minimum I check every 4 hours and I was speeding tasks up with clams).

Yeah, and unfortunately time just isn’t there for me post the complete questline dialogue. I’ll have a think on whether there’s a quick way to do it, but not promising anything.

  3. Object drops in general have been terrible, to make the drops needed to battle the bosses uncommon/rare is ridiculous given we have no control over what is needed at each step…

Making matters more frustrating, the building drops are actually worse – I’ve yet to receive a cruise ticket from the North Korean missile despite numerous tries…I’m seeing less than 25% objects overall, no fun whatsoever…

As others have mentioned, to have such a bad event after a pretty successful one is pretty disappointing and worrisome that TinyCo is reverting back to bad habits…

Well, at the least, we have an early candidate for ‘Worst of 2018’…WTD, TinyCo??

  4. Really not a fan of having to bribe officials with 3 different objects. If I recall, when I first started during the India event I almost quit over it. Certainly gave up on that Event. If they ever do it again it should be in a specific sequence. So at least we can visit this site and know what to expect. Also not good that Brian’s bonus outfit costs 1000 medals. Seems a bit much as we struggle to get the needed buildings and costumes done first. The Event in general and humor is pretty good tho.

  5. I’ll remove sections of street to contain something we have to bomb to collect stuff–this time, it’s curlers. Before, it was lunch ladies. You get what I mean. Anyhow, I’ll remove sections of street to try to contain them within a certain area so when I bomb them, I can hit more because they won’t be so scattered about. Well, time and time again, I’ll see them walk right across the land to cross over to the next section of street. How is this possible?

  6. Is the committee official one of the hardest boss types to fight or what? Just collecting enough items to battle him once is difficult enough, I don’t think I’ll ever gather enough to get him twice.

I know this is a mini-event currently, but it is such a let down from the previous event. Everything seemed to work out just fine for Masters of the Universe. This one however is just terrible. Only one interesting character, that being Lindsay Vonn….the rest are pretty lame!
