Opened the game on facebook for the first time in a while. Seems fine except I notice I am missing the top part of the frame – the stuff in the upper left corner. Your level and how many clams and coins you have is missing. Anyone else seeing this? Seems it can’t just be me I guess.

The odd thing with the frame on Facebook is, it’s still messed up, but when the icon for the vacuum cleaner appears so you can use it, it’s all the way over to the side, where it’s supposed to be.
I just wish the +/- buttons were back on there, so I can zoom out and find characters more easily when they’re on tasks that find them roaming the streets, or so I can zoom in and specifically click on something when it’s too close to something else. The +/- keys DO appear in Ollieland, though.

Tip: Focus Quagmire on dollars. Buy the store which drops boy band posters, 2 each four hours.
I bought Chris andere with each dumpster dive he earns 40 magazines. You could easily earn all drop buildings in the first few days.

Running the numbers to see if this is realistically completable without spending clams:
To clear strippers, you have a max potential of 3 dollars every 4 hours, that’s (realistically) $15 a day IF you get every single one (I’ve only gotten 5 in the last 29 hours, but I’ve only been sending 2 characters, to get boy band drops from Quagmire).
$15 X 7 = $105 = MAX of 525 porno mags (again NOT guaranteed), but that means NOT unlocking Meg. If you unlock Meg in the minimum time, you would have $96 or 480 mags. There are 573 mags worth of items (not including the 300 needed to unlock Stewie). You MUST get at least 425 mags to unlock Stewie (an average of 60 a day) (that includes the 125 for the one building you must buy). I have gotten 25 in the past 24 hours.
Note that you can earn additional porno mags from the dump. With an average of 80~ish gloves (*40 mags per glove), theoretically, you could have another
To unlock Meg Quagmire will take most people 3 days if they don’t buy buildings. Since the cost of the buildings isn’t that prohibitive, and more mags from from unlocking Meg, it wouldn’t be a bad plan, especially if you’ve had bad luck (like I have – I’m on track to take 5 days to unlock Meg).
Purses (from Strippers) = Max of 12 a day, 20 total (I have 4 thus far)
Beanies (from Jerome & Bruce ) = Max of 6 a day, 11 total (I have 4 thus far)
Boy Band posters (Quagmire only) = Max of 4 a day, 7 total (I have 2 thus far)
Unflattering Jeans (Mort Only) = Max of 8 a day (6 realistically), 8 total, I have 2 thus far.
If you don’t sleep, and have perfect luck, you could theoretically unlock Meg in 2 days, thus being able to send her to the dump by the third day, which isn’t that urgent, because it’s not about the time it takes to search, but the limited resource “rubber gloves” that controls whether or not you get the controllers. Enough gloves will guarantee it, but you already need to spend the gloves to get Stewie, so that was a no-brainer. With Stewie’s additional requirements, the race becomes earning enough porno mags by clearing strippers and searching the dump. Most everything else should come in plenty of time.
My mistake was sending Glen to get posters instead of $$ for strippers.

I was right. 48 hours to go, and I still need porno mags. I *should* get it, but dollar drops are running about 60%, and gloves are only 50% of those, so I’m getting about 1 glove every four hours right now, and that’s not good for my numbers. I’ll get Stewie, but I will not be able to get the last item in the store.

I’ll pass on this one. I don’t have the time to invest in every event, especially when (lately) the drops are so poor, to get enough of an item, you have to forget about having a life outside of the game. No problems getting the event to Facebook this time, but that’s been an issue lately, too, where it’s often a week late, or last time, 3 & 1/2 weeks late for a 4-week event! Can’t play around the clock to get those poor drops if you have to keep recharging your mobile device, either.

My game was available Wed May 16 around 5pm PDT. The counter stated the game ends in 6 days 22 hours. On May 17, I got another game update.
I am running on Android. this will be a short game.

Doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of responses here, which I’m guessing is an indicator of the game’s overall popularity right now. I had quit for a long time because there wasn’t enough room to expand (and taking away the star ship area made it even worse). I came back recently to see, just in time for the end of the 420 event (which is sad, because I was actually doing well on it for only a few days of playing, and really wanted Cheech, but not spending $50 for him).
This event, however, looks like a complete clam-grab to me. FAR too slow to get even ONE of the two earnable characters, and the rest are clam-locked. Ridiculous.

There’s still a good number playing but nothing like the numbers of the early days, but that’s to be expected as game isn’t an easy stroll and is now over 4 years old.

To be fair to Tinyco, they did give players more chances to get more clams if you manage to unlock a certain freemium character or costume within stipulated days, usually 4 or 5 days. That said, I’m riled by the recent Facespace revamp such that I can no longer see all characters that I unlocked so painstakingly. So not playing as much now.

I generally don’t get premium characters, but I’d consider getting Chris Quagmire if he didn’t offer so little to the overall progress of this very short event.
