Glitches & Issues

Comic Book Nerds not appearing should be fixed!!!

The building at the top left of the event area showing as a cog, not an issue as such just now as not being used this week.

Trees reappearing on cleared land is back, guess Mother Nature isn’t letting go of  her land without a fight.

Buildings

Rock Stage – $9.99 (this is the dollar cost, the price will vary depending on country you live in).

The Rock Stage is a clam generator that drops 14   every 24 hours until the 25th July, we’ve seen these before but usually you can buy them with clams not real world hard cash. Personally I’m disappointed TinyCo have packaged it this way, but you will make more clams if you collect from this timely every 24hrs than you would buying the $9.99 clam pack. But that’s not much comfort to those who’ve already bought clams and now can’t use them to buy this.

***The other buildings for this Week can be found in Exhibit Hall – you’ll find full details in that section below***

Comic Book Nerds

These are the little baddies in this event and are quite simple to deal with, it’s just more of the tap, aim and fire we’ve seen in previous events. Before you can clear them you’ll need to get a Swag Bag, you’ll get them here:

 90 Bags of Swag – 99

Once you have a Swag a Bag you will find Comic Book Nerds walking  around your sidewalks.

Simply tap one of them to bring up the targeting screen.

Then move the Beach Ball until the green target circle is on a Beach Bro, you’ll know it’s in target as it will turn purple, then simply hit the check mark to clear the Beach Bro.

I am seeing up to a maximum of 8 in my game.

The event rewards for clearing Comic Book Nerds are as follows:

Per Comic Book Nerd Cleared
2 Stickers (Always)
1 Backstage Pass (Always)
1 Microphone (Chance)
1 Utility Belt (Chance)

There you have the overall basics to get you started through the first Week of the New Event. Where are you so far? Anything particular you like the most? Suggestions or tips to fellow players? Let us know.

  1. So did I totally miss something or did the guidebook just appear last night? Can’t find reference to it in the blog (not that it’s impossible that I’m overlooking something) and I don’t remember seeing it at the beginning of the event..

  2. I am getting an error on crafting an autograph (Facebook):

    Cocos2dx – CCNode#scale. ScaleX != ScaleY.
Don’t know which one to return

Does it let you send a help request to TinyCo. If not you can email them at help@tinyco.com

Any other Facebook players out there who can advise, Derek etc?

      • Happened only one time on fb for me, worked fine the next time I tried it. Using fb only to send characters now and playing mostly on my android tablet after missing the nerds twice due to lag time on fb. On fb, if you do not have another platform to play on, I suggest making sure all buildings etc. load (i.e all your Quahog) before doing anything like creating an autograph. Sometimes, if all has not loaded, I can get error messages and have to reload on fb when doing things like taking a character out of tan lines.

        • So glad I picked up a cheapo android tablet on sale ($70 CDN) in addition to playing on fb – one of the platforms is usually working fine. Trying to avoid joining the zombie hordes of smart phone carriers. Amazing how often I am the only person not staring at a phone waiting at a doctor’s office or on line at the post office, for example. Just keep an old flip phone in my Jeep glove compartment in case I roll it – or I need to make a call. Ahh, the joy of being a hermit.

  3. I also have the building-cog wheel issue (on Android). The problem with the invisible nerds now seems to have been fixed which makes clearing them a bit easier.

  4. With all due respect, I completely disagree with Big Daddy. I’ve been out of the game for a very long time and appreciate seeing current information when I have time to come back and play. Thanks for all you do Tigger!! I greatly appreciate you 🙂

  5. Bought Derek Smalls for the extra drops but I’m still finding this event harder than the previous events we had, especially the sticker drops to purchase the buildings.

I was really hoping that the 2014 comic-con characters would’ve served as an extra help for the many drops we need, but alas we ‘old’ players who have been playing this since the first major comic-con event receive no extra bonus help whatsoever :S

Anyone else finding this event hard in comparison to previous events or is it just me? :/

Yes, I’ve spent almost 2000 Clams to pull the info I did, still a way off getting Captain Quahog never mind the character, and 190 Stickers away from being able buy the Amp Store. This is a looking to be a brutal first week unless something changes.

    • Oh I’ve given up trying to complete these. I get what’s easy, and move on. It’s clear Tiny Co only wants premium players.

  6. In the event area, the building behind Nigel Tufnel isnt loading, not sure why. (there’s the building hole in the ground with the cogwheels)

After I’ve read this post I’m more relaxed since it isnt required for anything by now.

    Anyone with same problem?

I’m playing in an iPad Pro.

I see the building fine on my IPad Pro but not on my IPhone of Android device. But it’s definitely not used this week.

  7. Seriously, you can stop writing these and we can just change the words in our head as we go. They copied the last event so well, they even included the land grabbing bug and the far right strip of land is gone again. Likely until the next mini event where it will come back and then it will disappear in the next main event titled [insert name here]

If players ALL feel there’s no need for these then it will be time for the blog to retire, as of yet players still want the site so I’m trying to keep it going. Whereas lot is same, players like know cost of the buildings, the Boss Level costs and rewards, these vary from events

      • I think he was just making a point of the lack of originality in event play. Even though he said “seriously,” please do not take him seriously. I seriously think I would stop playing all together without your wonderful work on this site.

Yeah I just felt good comment and perfect time remind people who think I’m mad why I still do the site. And why players still want it. But without readers and commenters there would be no site, so I appreciate everyone who takes time to stop by with their thoughts.

You’re doing a great job! I think BigDaddy was making a dig at TC when he referring to the event being the same as the last……..not the addicts site.

Yeah, I get that and I get why BigDaddy and other players feel way they do, but rinse and repeat has always been TinyCo’s way, problem is they sometimes throw curve balls so players like place to make sure nothing such as timers etc are lurking in any event.

          • Seriously, I should get my head examined. I know better than to throw WTD entries on the normal pages, and I see RT used me for a valuable moral lesson for everyone rather than throwing me to the moderated landfill. To clear up speculation, what I “meant” was, RussianTigger should just start copy/pasting these rather than writing new ones. Or, make a template with [insert characters name here] with what they are doing and we can figure it out. I know that would help no one, I wrote it in a pique of fit, anger and frustration drove my fingers over how our fun game has become rote frustration.
TC knows it, they throw jibes into the character dialog more and more about how the toilet sitting players aren’t even reading this dialog as they tap thru to try to burn thru their content.
Ahh, addiction is fun, folks. Glad to be one of you and not off playing Candy Crush like some kind of lunatic!

We all have our moments of utter frustration, honestly I could do a Daily What The Deuce, lol. But seriously as I said your points deserved to be read, they were a fair reflection on the game of late. And between us I do so much copy & paste, I should be honoured for services to it. 😅😅😅 And don’t you dare try to jump to the Candy Crush dark side, leaving Quahog is not an option Number Six!!!
