Firstly 50’s Cleveland is a full character not a costume. He drops 1 Ray Gun every 12hrs, so you’ll get 2 in a 24hr period. With the Ray Gun I’ve managed to hit 5 rockets at once in the mini game, which gets me 5 Bread, doing that would get me 10’Bread in 24hrs. The Clam-O-Rama drops 3 Bread every 10hrs, so you’ll get 6 Bread over 20hrs. In my opinion and hey I could be wrong I think 50’s Cleveland is better value as you get a character, and those extra Ray Guns will help you not only with Bread but the Pearls needed for 50’s Lois.

CAUTION: Cleveland only drops rays guns ONCE every 12 hours. If only one drops that a complete rip off considering nothing in the game FAQ mentions it. Would have been better to buy truck that drops decoders.

Actually I disagree, The truck only drops 2 Decoder rings every 24hrs, that’s not enough to craft 1 Ray Gun, whereas 50’s Cleveland will give you 2 Ray Guns every 24hrs.

Anyone able to provide a pros and cons for deciding to purchase 50s Cleveland? How long is his action to create the ray guns and how beneficial are the results of using the ray gun? If ray guns can translate to a lot of bread, it may be worth it. Not excited about the high clam price though especially after getting royally screwed out of the free 75 clams (timer bonus plus set completion bonus) due to the impossibility of unlocking the stunt driver outfit for Quagmire during the last event.

Ok, he’s a full character not a costume. The Ray Gun task is 12hrs. And how much Bread you get depends on how many rockets you clear – I’ve managed 5 in one shot so far, possibly be to get more than 5 if you’re patient. That’s the basics.

The initial baseball drops from Chris have been very poor. I’ve sent him 4 times and haven’t gotten a single baseball yet.

Since I got 50s Peter, I have sent him and Chris to get baseballs 3 times and only got one ball each time.

I set up the ray gun on the 2 hour timer but it disappears within a few seconds. Anyone else having this issue?

I had successfully crafted one, I initially do things individually as these “achievement” based events seem to not count multiple things that happen if you don’t claim immediately. Went back in later to craft 2 guns as I had 7 rings, started the 2 and closed that window and noticed Clammy Diner still had the “!” over it. Went back in and nothing in production, rings not accounted for. I have messaged the support bots, not holding out much hope.

Interesting 2 monthly events back to back. I thought this would be a mini event. After the lackluster last event I was wondering where they would go next. This retro event looks more interesting I’ll give it that. Unsure how I like the switching between times though. I’m really just ready for the Halloween event.

Players liking the switching to separate event areas before, it stopped lot of glitchung isdues. But this is a 5 week event, so I’d imagine we’ll see Halloween soon after. My favourite event as well.

In the latest game update’s description it says that we’ll be getting to visit 4 different eras of the past, namely the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s & 1980s: “In order to return home, the Griffins must fight their way through the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.”
However, in the game, when I click on the cursed TV it clearly shows that there’s going to be 5 different time eras to visit in this 5-week long event, as you may see here in the screenshot I took: https://i.imgur.com/hAbzrpq.png
What do you guys think the 5th time era will be? The 1990s? The future? Any speculations?

The first 1 will vary between a past time and modern Quahog. It’s a floater 😀😀😀 So there is 5 away destinations.

This event seems similar to the ‘Excellent’ Bill and Ted event from last year – time travel, travel to different areas, etc
If they took all the best bits and things that worked from that event and just re-skinned them then it should be a really good event. It’s only Day 1 but lets hope it has enough content and everything is achievable over the next 4 weeks.
