UH OH! In my game I no longer have the option, when in the 1970s, to trade the 1960s currency (scratch) for the 1070s currency (20 cheese, I think). Had the option an hour ago and now it is gone – and I was close to getting the 20 cheese. I so still have the option to trade 152 1950s bread for 10 cheese.

Yeah gone in mine too, I think it’s because the direct Scratch for Charge Cards exchange in 1980’s is much better, but I’m nto sure if this will impact those still working on Week 3 as I can’t check if the trade is still there for them

I am still in week 3 and that option is gone – if it was still there I would have the last building now and be closer to week 4! Lost 3 days because I had no power and internet due to 6 tornadoes hitting my area!

Well, that puts me at the opposite end of the same city you live in or near! How’s it goin’, eh? 🙂 Fortunately, those tornadoes didn’t get out my way (though 3 weeks ago we had some “microbursts” out here), but I hope your power outage was the worst you had to deal with! (And some say Climate Change is a hoax; HA!)

I literally just started 70s Quahog, I feel like I’m really behind. Drop rates are awful, and why is the money conversion such a ripoff? I get it’s trying to show inflation, but 152 Bread for only 10 Cheddar?? And the first building (Griffin House) is 80 Cheddar? What the Deuce?!?

Is anyone else not getting videos or demos for free clams? I contacted support and they said something about offers not being available all the time. I then told them haven’t had any free clams for videos for several weeks when they used to refresh daily. They didn’t respond to that.

I’ve had FIVE games that I’ve contacted them about because I never received my clams. Having to send endless emails with screenshots each time.

Have you contacted the company that do the offers, you can raise support tickets with them.

Yes, using the contact support section within the app. I think it’s TapJoy. I’ve eventually received the clams I’m owed, but having to wait almost a week after downloading an app that claims “instant clams” is ridiculous.

I can’t work out if it’s better to trade Scratch or Bread directly for Cheddar, or trade Bread for Scratch first and then trade Scratch for Green.
Drops have been rubbish throughout this event, for me at least. Took me 4 days to get into Week 3 after it started. Incense drops were pants until I unlocked Meg.
Progress in the 70s area is gonna be slow too. I’ve got loads of stink bombs stored up but only being able to bomb a maximum 4 Vandals at a time and not wanting to waste them on groups of less than 4 is making it slow progress.
I’m not going to quit because i’m intrigued about what characters are going to appear for the 80s and 90s, but it’s going to be a leisurely play style because there’s no way im going to be able to finish this event now without splurging 1000s of clams to speed unlock characters

I direct traded bread for Cheddar, but there’s really not a lot difference

It’s more effective to go direct – you need 336 bread to generate 72 scratch to convert 65 scratch to 20 cheddar (leaving 7 scratch hanging around each time), whereas you only need 304 bread to convert to 20 cheddar

There’s little difference in the long term. If you do 10 Trades you’re a minuscule bit cheaper doing the double trades, as you’ll have the 10×7 left over scratch to do a further trade but it’s not enough to be worth the effort and I can’t find my scribbles to give the actual figures. But I think it was 14 Bread you saved or something like that.

As the newest event looked awful, I decided to sit this one out. I’ve got to say, I’ve never been happier with a decision I’ve made about this game. The poor events, the crappy execution, the blatant money grabs— I’ve misssd none of it. I hadn’t planned on never playing again, but the odds increase every day. Anyway, thanks for the help and hints over the past couple of years.

You can hit a maximum of 4 vandals at a time yet they spawn in 7, meaning you can’t maximise your drops if you have two bombs.

That should be fixed now… I’m seeing at least 9-10 in my game now, and they respawn much quicker so I can actually use up my Bombs.

Hey! Is anyone else having problems a problem with the money that you claim in the game not being added in your total? It’s really bad with the 70’s Quahog. I’ve told TC about it and they say they’ll look into it. I can’t continue to play as long as this is going on.

I’ve not personally but others said there’s been a delay, they said if you go to another time and Back the money then adds.

there is sometimes a delay, but if you look in the store where you buy buildings, the amount is correct there

It is added, but the icon doesn’t show it. Go to the Appliances shop and check the cost of your current building available to see how much money you’ve got (it’ll say 124/200 for example. The counter in the shop gets updated correctly while the icon at the bottom of the screen not so much, especially in the 60s in my game.
