I know many of you are just starting to see the event and thinking unless you’ve got a plethora of 2018 characters then this is going to be very difficult. I agree, but it’s similar to last years Best Of 2017 event where many had to choose to ignore the new character costumes and concentrate on a returning character or two instead. However it looks like all the returning characters this week are timed as when one is required for the Main Questline a timer appears on that part. As you can see below I’ve only set time to clear this part, my guess is this is due to Peter The Barbarian only being available this week.

These are the little baddies this week of the event and are quite simple to deal with, it’s just a simple tap and they are gone.
As always you will find these wandering around your sidewalks.
Simply tap one of them and it’s gone.
I am seeing up to a maximum of 8 in my game. But they seem to be slow in replenishing at this time.

You will be able to start seeing Make-Out Couples when you trigger Pt. 1 of the this weeks main Questline.
Like most little Baddies you’ll find them wandering your sidewalks.
Now with these you can clear 4 with 1 Condom so my advice is to put down just a single piece of Sidewalk and the couples will gather in that one small area making it easy to clear 4 with each Condom. Once you have at least 1 Condom tap a Make-Out Couple and then place the target over the Make-Out Couples and Fire.
And here’s a reminder where you can get those Grenades.

Oh… hadn’t noticed that Admiral Brian was impossible without already having all the other characters and had automatically been collecting for him because of the timer. I have 9 out of 45 hats with 4 days to go.
So, guess I should give up on him then and switch to earning party candy instead. What a game!

He wasn’t possible as freemium even WITH the other characters. I have 20/45 hats right now with 4 characters grinding at them and we’re nearly 6 days in so don’t beat yourself up over him. He was quite literally impossible without paying clams.

How are you seeing 8 Rich Old Girls seem to get a maximum of 4 and the when cleared they take another 4 hours to reappear

Hi, everyone. A little question. Have any of you noticed that the game freezes more since this event started? I’m having some serious lag (say, the game reacts 20 sec after I touch the screen) and it started with the event.
I deleted the app and reinstalled after the Christmas event, as usual, and deleted all the roads to gather rich ladies and couples. I put a few street patches away from my buildings. And now it’s almost impossible to play. It seems fine if I don’t go near my ‘event area’. I can send characters on their tasks at normal speed if that’s the first thing I do. But if I go to my area with rich ladies and couples, the lag starts. Eventually the game crashes.
The lag is a real problem for clearing up couples, because I see 4 together and I fire, but t hat image is often old, let’s say, and the couples are actually scattered and I get 2.
Is something similar happening to you?

Ive had that issue before. The fix for me was to go to the settings in the game and change it to Low graphics.

Hi RT – please advise how long the tasks are to receive party candy from both Queen Victoria Chris or Pregnant Bonnie? I’m trying to decide if I should get Chris first or save all items for Bonnie only.

I’ve been trying putting down a single line of road for the couples to gather but they just simply walk through all the green fields even between some buildings. I guess because there were roads before (just got deleted temporarily to make to couples gather to one point) but couples seem to remember this.. So does anyone know a good way to kinda force them to stay at one place?

Might you have sine road hidden behind houses. Usually once you remove all then place new but they wander there, your clam tv will also appear next to it.

I think Admiral Brian is really aimed at players who have everything – others are supposed to be happy getting second chance at the returning characters. Not a system I like but….

Yes, I’m completely &#^@ on this event. I only have Peter the Barbarian and none of the others. So, not going to accomplish much. I’m just trying to see if I can get Brian and finish the Questline, but I can’t see going on to Week 2. Not a good way to start the new year.

I also had Peter the Barbarian only, but I quickly deduced that Admiral Brian was only attainable when you have the others. I started focusing on the characters in stead. Got Victoria Chris and I’m close to getting Governor Cheeseburger. I also finished the quest line quite easily, waiting for phase 2 of the event to start. And this is all without me checking in every 4 hours like I had been doing intensively during the Xmas event for 4 weeks.

I’ll be watching this one. I’ve only Barbarian Peter, was able to put the other four characters in town and laugh at the ludicrous amounts of items need for each. At this point I open this game when I hit the crapper at work just so it seems like the writers snide inside jokes are at least aimed at me while nothing else is.

Thanks RT, I’m going to prioritize getting the new full characters rather than Brian’ outfit. Although personally, I think it’s good that they finally put some of the random characters to use!

I think I don’t mind the limitations here. Yes, I’m not going to be getting everything, but (1) I don’t care about getting another costume for Brian and (2) I’d really like to get Pregnant Bonnie (back before she had spousal murder on her mind)… then whatever I still have time for. I have two of the old characters — Barbarian Peter and Queen Victoria Chris — so I figure a 4-logins-a-day schedule should get me Bonnie. Any others will be a bonus.

I can already tell this event is going to be near impossible to accomplish. Even if you’re lucky enough to start with P. Bonnie, B. Peter and P. G. Chicken (I have them all), all three of them are tied up trying to get the captains hats (I’ve only had ONE drop so far) for Brian who is on a timer, yet they’re also the only ones that drop the Party Candy for the two new characters whom I’m sure will also affect the main quest line progression. They really need to stop having characters do multiple event tasks, esp when there are several hundred they can be utilizing and more than enough main, easily obtainable characters and especially when it’s only a 2 week long event….

Yes, like previous years it will be a struggle to get the new item if you’ve not got the returning characters. I advise prioritising who you want and go from there.

i don’t think Admiral Brian is gonna a pre-requisite to start Week 2 since a lot of people won’t be able to unlock him … with the timer, the hats and all

Timed characters aren’t usually. I’m trying find out if completing Week 1 Questline will be necessary as occasionally they’be not been in Best of Events.
