Tell TINYCO what you want, what you really, really want to see in the game in 2019

So the New Year partying is over, the fireworks have burnt out, the season of goodwill is behind us and the Best of event is underway in our games. Yes looks like 2019 is here to stay, well for another 352 days at least.

What’s a FGQFS Addict to do once the party’s over and the daily grind has returned? Well apart from enjoying breaking all those new year resolutions, how’s about helping TinyCo to make some? C’mon lift your 2019 already weary heads from their Sunday slumbers and take this once in a blue moon, ok once in a year, opportunity to tell TinyCo what YOU want to see in the Family Guy The Quest for Stuff game in the year ahead.

image

What would you like to see more or what would you like to see less of? What new characters or features would you like to see, or even what old characters or features you’d like to see brought back? Is there an event you loved that you’d like to see a sequel to, or an event you missed you’d love them to revisit? Is there any changes you’d like to see to the layout of the game, the inventory, anything at all?

Basically this is to ask you to help them make the game better, so share your thoughts with us in the comments and let’s help TinyCo make 2019 the year the game gets back on track!!!

I agree with Tristans suggestions for increasing playing space so we can use the hundred thousand coins to buy land to place the hundreds of items sitting in inventory. I personally like to build areas using items from the various completed events such as a winter area from Christmas, a Wild West area, a racing area, Quahog Con area, etc

  3. I wish daily tasks were connected to an event when some event is live. Maybe an option to skip the offer once & load new set of daily tasks.

  4. I have been playing this game since it started and my main wish is to have events structured so that everyone gets a chance to work on the different weekly tasks. I only get to look in around three times a day, so am resigned to not getting everything from an event, but often I am still struggling on week two as week four is ending. I never ev3n get a chance to see what I miss out on! And give us poor freemium players something to aim for – it does often feel like spending on clams is the only way to get through the weeks on time.

In the last event I ended up with barbarian peter and Queen Chris….missed out on Brian because he timed out before I got enough hats and had no chance of getting even close to any other characters. And that is playing three times a day, every day!

  5. 1. Please let us put Peter into Tan Lines or inventory. It’s frustrating working around him, especially when he’s useless for an event. And it’s too risky setting him on a 24-hour task because you never know when he will be vital to the game.
    2. More things to purchase with Stewie Bucks and coins
    3. I’d like a way to find characters in Tan Lines without manually scrolling through each level
    4. The Find Me option should be available for all characters, not just those who are part of an event collection.
    5. More districts please!!
    6. Please use a greater variety of characters during events. It’s usually Bonnie and Bruce doing a lot of tasks, and lately some of the events have characters who have to do multiple tasks to progress, but there are tons of Family Guy characters who could be utilized (Stewie is hardly used and he’s one of the main characters)

  6. Not so much I can add that hasn’t been said already but I would like TC/JC to listen to feedback from players and adjust the game accordingly.

Quicker response times to queries and not just an automated response or copy/pasted stock reply “drop rates are as expected.. blah blah”, someone actually reviewing issues and responding accordingly.

Letting the app have a clear cache option on iOS so all the useless decos and buildings that have gone into storage that have saved a graphic can be cleared away to save valuable space (and app loading time) instead of having to uninstall and then reinstall the app and play the tutorial before re-loading progress.

The ability to sell anything and everything. I mean, who really needs to keep a billboard or an animated random-NPC from a one-off mini event 3 yrs ago!

  7. Fewer events – and instead making them work. When the game is down on facebook for a week or 2, they should extend the event for a week or two on facebook. When there’s a bug that prevents players from earning a character – they should give you that character instead of just saying ‘a lot of people are writing our support rigth now. Try again.’ or just ‘We’re aware of the problem.’ (But offer no solution.)

There’s no way that I’m spending real money on this game because you never know when it’s going to stop working and you know that you will simply miss a lot regardless of what you do or how much money you spend. I’ve spent to many clams to buy premium characters and not being able to play the event because of that stupid ‘we’re currently upgrading’-message.

  8. Most importantly, **PLEASE** let me sell back my hundreds and HUNDREDS of buildings and decos from years of old events. They’re all just sitting in my inventory clogging things up; I don’t want them, and I’d like to have a way to get rid of them. The sell-back feature is already implemented, so why is it only offered for non-event items? (I have asked the Tinyco support team this same question several times now, and they always just ignore me. I assume they will ignore me here as well, but it’s worth a try.)

A few other items come to mind too:

-If we can’t send Peter Griffin to Tan Lines, at least let us store him in inventory. He hasn’t been useful for the past couple events, which is fine, but there’s no way to get him out of the way when that happens.

-I have 90 million coins and thousands of stewie bucks; I’d like to have something to spend them on.

-Give us an easier way to find a character who’s parked in Tan Lines. Maybe alphabetize them? Scanning through 200+ characters looking for the one I need isn’t fun.

  9. How about letting us decide the order we want to unlock buildings in? In this event, I’d to place the Cold Turkey Health Food Store, as I still need Expensive Watches, but I don’t want to waste 133 Shrimp in order to place the Party Swag Dumpster since I already have all of the Hangover Glasses I need. I want to use the Shrimp for unlocking Carter and Stewie, since I’m not getting anywhere near enough to waste them. So I’m taking the chance that I can get the last two Expensive Watches I need from The Dusty Treadmill. But I’m tired of having to unlock buildings in an order that delays me getting the items I need. Even if I have to unlock all of the buildings before moving on to the next week would be okay, as long as I got to chose the order I opened them in.

    • They have had that in past events, which is amazing. I generally don’t care for the decorations, and most event buildings go back into storage due to the incredibly small amount of land we have available. So yeah, skipping things that just end up in storage would be great. I’ve actually skipped the Cold Turkey Health Food Store as I got the watches ages ago, but I’m still critically short on prawns for the other items. Letting us pick what we unlock allows us to strategise instead of just jumping through the hoops.

  10. The Spin ‘n Win could HELP WITH THE EVENTS!

It’s so stupid now… they could make it to help us in every event! But not every 24 hrs, more like every 6 or 12 hrs.

    • One more – if licensed characters are offered as part of an event, at least half of them should be available through “normal” gameplay.

Looking back at the awful Talladega Nights event, of the 3 movie characters offered, 1 was a clam purchase and 1 was in a mystery box. Ditto for the Halloween event, when Grandpa was the only Munster that wasn’t a clam purchase or a mystery box prize. That’s really lame.

    2) A valentines Event with some of Quagmires and Brians exes.

    3) An event related to the “Multiverse” … to follow on from Dogworld!

    4) Dan Quagmire and Glenda Vagmire as FULL characters!

    5) A reset option to put Quahog back to the original zones and buildings instead of just nuking!

  13. I agree with a couple of these with the big ones being the ability to cancel a task and also give takes for older character in new events. Give people whom have been playing since day one an advantage for having earned these past players (kind of like the current event is doing).

Also, get rid of the common, rare, etc distinction. Instead always give an item for every task done and just make the number needed to clear an item reflect how difficult it should be. For example, if you need 6 of a common item, instead make it 8 (where you get an item every time you do a task). If if you need 6 of a rare item, instead make it 12, again where you earn an item everytime you do a task. That way players aren’t mad when they don’t earn an item because they didn’t win a common item the first 2 times they did the task (eventhought they might get 1 everytime for the next 10 tasks).

  14. 1. More Star Trek and Orville.

    2. Level to 500. I’ve been at 100/MAX for like 2 years now.

    3. Something to do with Stewie Bucks. I’ve got 40 GOLD Stewie Bucks, which are useless.

    4. Something to do with Coins. I’ve got nearly 130 million and nothing to do with them.

    5. More land. Maybe a Stewie Shrink Ray to shrink the giant buildings to 4×4 size? Maybe a land reclamation project to convert water to usable land? That water is useles and hogging up valuable real estate.

    6. Something like Tan Lines but for buildings. Maybe an alternate universe Multiverse where useless buildings can be parked to earn coins?

    7. Bring back o,d characters like Commander William River for purchase using Stewie Bucks or Coins?

    8. Mystery Boxes that can be opened using Gold Stewie Bucks or Coins in the events.

  18. I’m a freemium player and I understand that it’s never going to be easy to complete everything without paying but I’d like it to be possible. There have been several events where there is no way to complete the events without putting out money and I lose interest in them.
I’ve like more chances to get characters that I missed in previous events.
I’ve really like another Star Trek event.

  19. Do away with the rare and above items. We will jump back into the game as often as you need us to, but multiple tasks in a row with nothing to show for it is not fun. This is a game. Make it fun.
Peter Griffin should NEVER be without something to do related to the event, even if it just generating event currency. Since he cannot be sent to Tan Lines, he should at least be able to help.
Come up with something to do with all of the unused stuff in the game: Tan Lines generating Stewie Bucks, coins. Find something for longer term players to do with all the accumulation, trade for clams, etc. You lose nothing by it and gain all kinds of player goodwill.

  20. I would appreciate more ways to utilize coins. It’s been a good start to use 100 to unlock returning characters that we may have missed but perhaps we can (at least occasionally) have the option to buy some items with coins instead of clams.

  21. More characters for event tasks instead of having only 3-5 characters that do 3 different things. That to me is half the cause of falling behind, everyone being tied up doing one thing, so something else that’s needed doesn’t get accomplished until it’s too late to even catch up.

As for future events, I’d absolutely love to see something done with the MCU. How cool would a “Family Guy: Infinity Wars” event be? Man that’d make my day. Heck I’d actually spend cash for clams for that lol.

  24. If they want to continue to make drops for “extra rare” items, actually have them drop at least occasionally in the time the event is open. I’m tired of not seeing a single “extra rare” item drop from tasks or building drops to unlock characters. This has happened the last couple events and it’s really taken the fun out of them. I get making it difficult, but it’s impossible without clams.

  26. TC/JC, here’s what I’d like to see be introduced in the game throughout the 2019:

    1.)

Extend the concept of Christmas 2016 (where you introduced video game characters like Pac-Man, Q-bert, Princess Peach and Donkey Kong) and have a new major, month-long event where we can unlock new iconic video game characters of different franchises like Super Mario, Sonic and Megaman.

Another suggestion could be to have a month-long event where we can unlock video game characters of a particular company, such as Sony’s Playstation iconic characters, which could feature Nathan Drake, Kratos, Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, Sackboy, etc.

    2.)

Other major-long events which you could introduce in the game could be:

    a.)

Throughout the seasons of Family Guy, we got to see many iconic cartoon characters in various FG episodes from different studios but were never featured in the game since the game launched back in 2014!

As you already had struck a deal using Warner Brother’s Justice League heroes, I would suggest to negotiate a new deal to use the many Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters that were featured in various episodes of Family Guy, such as Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear and Jonny Quest. You may see more for yourself by following the link here: http://www.nowcultured.com/hanna-barbera-in-family-guy/

Not only WB’s H-B characters were featured in FG but even various Looney Tunes characters were featured in several FG episodes, such as Wile E Coyote, Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam. You may see more for yourself by following the link here: http://familyguy.wikia.com/wiki/Looney_Tunes

If you could strike a new deal with WB to use the various Hanna-Barbera and/or Looney Tunes characters, you could have enough new content that could last two major events!

    b.)

Have a month-long event on the era of the 1930s classic ‘silent’ films and characters, which could include:

    * Peter’s ancestor Willie “Black-Eyed” Griffin (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GztEw8XNpQ)
    * King Kong (including its classic skyscraper building)
    * Charlie Chaplin
    * Stan Laurel & Oliver Hardy
    * Popeye the Sailor
    * Betty Boop
    * Felix the Cat

As regards to character costumes, it could feature Peter and Brian to the way Peter and Brian used to be in a segment called “Peter And Brian: Fixin’ The Shed” in their 1930s flashback as can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js5GjxzD2CM

    c.)

Have a month-long event on “Back to the Future” franchise, where each week would have the player visit a new “era” in time, similar to the Bill & Ted event we had last year! We could unlock the classic BttF characters like Doc, Marty & Biff as well as have iconic Hill Valley buildings and decos, like the Clock Tower and a moving DeLorean car in our town!

    3.)

Make the players be able to re-use Tan Lines’ Stewie bucks as I have over 3k green bucks and 1k blue bucks but nothing to spend them on!!

One suggestion would be to have those buildings/decos that were featured in the various event ‘hub’ areas but for some reason or another weren’t available for us players to be purchased in a mystery box with its event currency at the end of each event. These could include buildings from the event ‘hub’ area of events such as A Very Griffin Holo-Ween, Greek Life & Peter’s Prehistoric Park event to mention a few examples, where they were never made available to be purchased during the entirety of their own respective event.

Another suggestion would be to bring back characters/buildings/decos from past events that would originally have costed a certain number of clams or were featured in a clams-only mystery box but would now be re-purchasable using solely the Tan Lines’ Stewie bucks!

This would give enough incentive for players both old and new to save up again enough Stewie bucks for the possibility in obtaining those previously missed items or characters from past events!

    4.)

Have more characters from the FG show be in the game! I’ve been waiting for ages to unlock new characters that got deceased in the show, such as the ghosts of Muriel Goldman and Thelma Griffin, as well as other FG characters such as Joyce Kinney, Peter’s real father Mickey McFinnigan and O’Brian (could be featured during a St Patrick’s mini-event) and Susie Swanson.

    5.)

For every level the player goes up, award clams or a deco/building which is exclusive just by reaching that particular level because, as it is at the moment, there is no incentive as such in levelling up to the max level (level 100); you just level up and that’s it.

    6.)

Have the majority of characters contribute to dropping an item for timed events, especially all the premium characters which have been paid for with real money. Almost every premium character introduced for an event is very useful for that particular event only. Once that event is over, the premium character becomes useless and is never to be utilized again for future character or costume item drops. Make these premium characters be worth the money that players spent on them!!

    7.)

Have a 7 day log-in system like Animation Throwdown, TSTO & Jetpack Joyride, where each day it rewards the player in some coins incrementing gradually, ex: day 1 (100 coins), day 2 (200 coins), etc. and on the 7th day, award clams or a random deco/building which is exclusive just through this 7 day log in system. Missing a day would reset the system back to day 1. In this way, it ensures players keep playing on a day-to-day basis and they can obtain some exclusive prizes as well.

    8.)

Allow for roads to be added anywhere around buildings and not at particular spaces to allow for more space to add more buildings and stuff. At the moment, if a road cannot be placed exactly behind buildings but a few spaces ahead, I have to always fill in that gap by inserting a row of trees.

    9.)

Have the ability to add other coloured flooring under our buildings and decos since having just a green base for certain buildings/decos (especially vehicles) seems a little odd at times:

    * have gray ’tiles’ to represent concrete (if the players would like to have an industrial/office/commerce “district” in town)
    * have white ’tiles’ to represent snow (if the players would like to have a Christmas/snowy “district” in town)
    * have orange/yellow ’tiles’ to represent dirt/sand (if the players would like to have a Western/Wild West “district” in town)
    * have water ’tiles’ to represent lakes/rivers

This would add a more realistic feel and diverse look to our towns rather than just have a green base in ALL our town.

    10.)

Have a cancel task button option. Many a time I would have sent characters to do their 1-day tasks and then realize later that they’re needed for some item drop, thus, having to wait the next 24hrs until they become available once more or spend clams to speed up to finish their task.

    11.)

Introduce more districts more frequently because the last district (excluding the Tan Lines hotel) was introduced over three years ago!!!

    12.)

Introduce more homes/houses/apartments that could be added in our town as we currently have a very small number of houses and it’d be cool to build a whole neighbourhood with all the characters we have. Besides having more homes/houses/apartments, include as well more public buildings/shops/restaurants/etc. in general that aren’t tied to any themed event.
