Lois In Wonderland – End of Event Poll

Hey there readers, welcome to our end of event poll, where today I’m going to be researching the event that just was, Lois In Wonderland. After a  3 weeks of adventures, it’s all over but for the poll, and that’s where we will find out how this event went for you.

So if you can please take a minute to complete the end of event poll I’d be very grateful. Please note for those that experience the jump glitch when answering poll questions, there’s a direct link at the bottom of the page that will help you avoid this problem, just keep scrolling to the bottom. And remember to leave your comments on the event, good or Bad.

And just incase you can’t see the poll or find it jumps about when you’re trying answer, here’s the direct link:

  2. could it be beneficial to add another option in the “Did you quit playing the event before it ended?” section for something along the lines of “fell behind and wouldn’t be able to catch up” ?

the options of “boring” or “too hard” or “glitch” don’t always fit in with the reasons i stop playing – which is usually because i fell behind the week before for whatever reason (in this event’s case it was poor egg drops for caterpillar joe) so the chances of me finishing the final week were slim to none so i just stopped playing and waited for the next event to start

    • I tend to think that’s covered by the too hard, if the events too hard it sees players fall behind. Others fall behind because of a glitch which is also in there. But what do others think?

      • I had thought too that I’d like an option as a reason you didn’t finish an event as something like ‘fell behind due to drop rates and couldn’t catch up’.

        • Still thinking “Too Hard” covers that just now…. I don’t want have giant list but looks like some think Too Hard is too general. Mmm.

      • I am starting to think that people fall behind, and often blame bad drops, because they do not check in often enough and/or make strategy errors.

I think the game is hard if you sleep a lot. I sleep 7 hours a night and check in at 630, 1030, 230, 630 and 1030. I easily get over 95% I of all freedom stuff

        • I think we all have different schedules, I put my early success in the game down to my insomnia but I don’t recommend folk lose sleep to play a game, I’d rather be able to sleep. But regular play is a must, then hoping drops are kind. I think the issue for me with just dropping in and resetting characters is for sone the time the game is taking to load, work break is over and darn game still hasn’t loaded.

But I also know as I had it happen to me that sometimes some players just don’t get drops of a certain, I was one of players impacted by this in a past event and a TinyCo couldn’t fix it.

        • Your schedule is roughly the same as mine – particularly the start and end times.
Don’t get me wrong here, in some events the drops are amazing and I can finish each week/phase a few days before the next one, but sometimes it’s a real struggle. (Like the current event with the keys, I’ve had it go more than a day without a single key from 10 collections incl a few clam speed ups)

@RT. I thought ‘too hard’ was a bit generic but appreciate your reasons for keeping it as it is.

          • I’ve added few options as requested in this weeks poll. See if it covers it better. Any other suggestions please let me know.

  3. I figured out early that different caused different card characters or Jabberwock to drop – for example Caterpillar Joe alone had a higher chance of dropping Jabberwock than pairing him with Mad Hatter Peter. This was an event I managed to get through without much frustration. Finally!

  4. I thought it was relatively fun and it was nice to finish the event! The only annoying part was the 93847238472034 heart cards wandering around in my 4 squares of road 🙂
I do like how for the past year or so the event buildings stay in event land and disappear at the end…i’m sick of my cluttered town…since we don’t seem to need coins for anything ever I think I will pare down to the bare minimum…

Well that was awful yet again. Having experienced a terrible time in the previous event I initially only intended to play for Peter and Lois this time, then quit, however Queen Of Hearts Stewie looked great, so really wanted to win him and played on anyway against my better judgement.

That was a mistake, it took nearly 2 weeks to unlock Caterpillar Joe with the awful club card drops (at one point earned over 30 scissors whilst waiting for any cards to drop) and even worse luck getting the Queen Of Hearts Stewie boss to appear so that I could defeat him for coal drops. As a result, I had nearly everything Joe needed before finally being able to claim the Pool Of Tears building and start collecting all those mock turtle eggs.

So in the end I got Joe done but only had a couple of days left to work on the character I really wanted (Queen Of Hearts Stewie) in week 3 and was unsuccessful. I didn’t learn about the ‘Awesome’ cheat until I had finally reached week 3 so it was already too late to help by then, although with the game now taking around 5 minutes to load it would still be hellishly annoying to be playing like that every time. I did give it a try for the sake of curiosity earlier today, but eventually gave up after half an hour of loading the game 6 times without Jabberwock Herbert showing up at all.

In the 2 days I was playing week 3, only managed to defeat Herbert twice, so no NPC for me either.

This game is so bad now. They really don’t seem to care how unsatisfying the experience is for players.

  6. So is it just my Quahog or is anyone else missing their Lighthouse which is needed to drop wedding rings for the current event? 😠

  7. The Jabberwock Herbert question should be checkboxes instead of radio buttons, imho. I got one via the glitch and a second by completing the “Cut off his jib” task.

  8. I always answer yes, I did spend clams, but I never buy premium stuff and just spend a few free clams to speed things up now and then – and only when it is 3 clams or less on an important collection and it is my bedtime. As per usual, the 35 clams for completing the facespace set was more than I spent on the event.

  9. In the question for Jabberwock Herbert, you should add the option for both choices. I got him both ways and have 2 of him walking around.

I’m so glad that’s over. I’ve been playing since the beginning and that’s the first event I’ve given up on. The drops for Caterpillar Joe and black cards were ridiculously slow. I only got Joe yesterday.

Tinyco need to sort it out or they’ll lose players.

  11. I freaking LOVED this event!! I was actually able to keep up with it and basically finished the entire event. That NEVER happens! Especially the past few events. So excited!! Hope they follow a similar format going forward! : D
