I find the locked buildings particularly odious and distasteful for an event — because the building is locked for non-event purposes, too. It’s especially obnoxious. It takes away from game enjoyment. That being said, this event was not too hard. I finished 3 days early and still have more than 300 Shamrocks left over — and there is still more than a day to go.

Got Thelma with almost 3 days to spare despite the bugs infestation and the books from O’Brien. Did they only later introduce the Literary leprechaun building? I thought that, for a while, he was the only way to get the books.
Now realize I love the bugs. More challenging and added an element of strategy. Game would be no fun if we got everything easily. More bug infestations and rare drops please.

No the library was there, but didn’t unlock until after you unlocked O’Doodys Outhouse

I’ve been pleasantly surprised with my Wk2 progress on this event.
Was having a moan about the fact we needed 600 shamrocks for a building to progress into wk2 but surprisingly it only took me 1 day to get the required amount.
Since then I’ve been able to collect everything, bar 5 books. I’ve also got the book drop building so I’m very much on track to unlock her before the event ends.
I’ve done nothing differently to my playstyle either – still check every 2hrs or so – and this whole event was more tough with the bug sprays and locked buildings.

Finally got Thelma Sunday morning, with more than 3 days to spare. Once you have all the characters and buildings, there doesn’t seem any reason to complete the questline and get more useless Shamrocks.

I’m really frustrated, I have not been able to access “drunken clam” for days. Therefore I cannot progress in the quest. I have contacted tinyco three times, to no avail.
