Thought I’d share this comment from Geoff T regarding how he’s managing to play whilst putting up with the duplicate glitch.
“I still have the issue of duplicate people. When I load the game, basically all the duplicate players come out from the Griffin house and make their way towards the road. I destroyed all roads except for a small section in a far corner. When. I click on the buildings with check marks (as actions have been done) the characters either appear there or on that roadway area. I immediately get them to do their next action before the hoarde makes their way to the road section. That way I can keep playing the game. 🙂 And clicking on the buttons for the quests saying who is needed to get what also brings up the proper character I need for things. It is a bit more time consuming but gets the job done!”

I don’t have a smartphone, just an ancient flip phone, $10 a month prepaid. Since it became usually impossible to play on facebook, I play on a cheap android tablet, about $80 CDN, if I recall. No monthly fees, have WiFi at home and work and if I am on the road, get free WiFi in the parking lots of many fast food places, coffee shops and banks. Love the tsblet for free library ebooks, news sites etc.

I just wish I could play again, but can’t since I don’t have a smartphone. We can’t play on a browser anymore and haven’t been able to for years, right?

I think you’d need play via an emulator on a desktop… but I can’t really advise as I don’t use one. Others can maybe help you.

I have never owned an Android device (or Apple one either), but play exclusively on an Android emulator. I use Nox primarily, but you can use BlueStacks as well. Both work on PC and Mac. Note: try Nox first as I have had BlueStacks corrupt my game a few times, which just requires an app reinstall (with no data loss). Download Nox from bignox dot com and NOT from “noxofficial” or “downloadnox” as they’re not the official sites despite the names.

I reached out to them a month ago, but haven’t heard anything since the initial, “We’re working on a solution” response…since it’s likely to be a game-to-game fix (yikes!!), I wonder if it’s worth me reaching out again?

I messaged support last week stating that I still had the duplicate character glitch. They were able to remove all the duplicates. The buildings are still duplicated, but at least the game is playable now.

Yeah they don’t have an update to fix this, having look at individual games to try fix that way, but not always working. Glad you’re at least half way fixed
