Let Freedom Ring event has begun in iOS, all I have access to. Looked over the in-game FAQ and everything is covered. Please check there before loading this page with questions! UPDATE: i was able to get the last 5 trash bags and unlock Throw It Away Lois! all from hitting trash dude. ZERO clams bought; ZERO clams spent majority. i as well(i noticed a couple others on here did too!) was able to unlock ALL the freemium characters and technically ALL freemium buildings(working on that billboard now).currently completing her questline and here’s the first 2 parts of it:

That was the only way I was able to finish the event, after being forced to start Week 2 over two days late due to terrible drops. My daily clams from ads stopped working, so it looks like if we use them to rush tasks then we don’t get them. Unfortunately I predict they’ll make events harder, essentially forcing us to watch ads to complete tasks… they’re only 15 seconds long, and it’s not like I actually watch them, but it still doesn’t bode well for the general enjoyment of the game

I’m at the same spot. I decided to defeat him because I needed the rewards that he dropped. I figured there would be no way to get the last building without doing that.
I would guess Lois has some sort of task for Part 7, but hopefully not the trash dude.

No, trash dude does not need to be defeated fully. Pt 7 is attack trash dude 3x and to have the new Lois costume perform a 30s well task. Looks like there will be clams awarded as there is a gift box on the quest line icon.

I have yet to finish the quest that includes buying the 500 item sign but even so, if you need wipes, hit him up rather than saving them as the event ends soon and it likely won’t net a great reward for finishing the quest. Of course, if you are getting wipes elsewhere, hang onto his stuff. I’m still 100+ wipes away from the sign and not sure I’ll get there but if I do, I’ll try to post. Whether it will help at that point…?

Trash can drops suck right now. Obviously they changed the drop rates from common to impossible. People spend the cash to compete your tasks because they are not giving you a shot otherwise.

hey y’all idk if anyone has noticed yet, but there is a brand new feature in the game now and it’s pretty freakin’ sweet! you can now speed up and/or finish character tasks with not only clams, but now also WATCHING ADS! yes that’s correct! tap on a character who is currently doing a task and at the right end of it you’ll see 2 options: either speed up for clams AND/OR you can now watch ads to keep knocking off a couple hours of said tasks to finish!
i just noticed it a little bit ago and realized many most likely have no clue about it yet or even seen it so there ya go! i’ve been testing it A LOT for the past hour or so there’s been a few crashes, but each time i was rewarded clams after getting right back into the game! so in general it’s so far so good! it’s REALLY helping out SIGNIFICANTLY especially getting the microphones for Joyce! so y’all better get at it!

This feature/functionality is not available for me playing on iOS.
I can only pay by clams, no option to watch an ad to speed it up.
That’s the same for characters with 5mins to go and with 5hrs to go before the task is complete.
What are device/OS you playing on?

Just saw this after I got new skin for Griffin house, but that timing might be just coincidence. I’m playin on iOS. Can confirm it is still kinda buggy. Sometimes it reduces task time by 2 hours, sometimes it kicks you out of game. Often related to the clip you are watching. When you get back in, usually a clam reward that oddly would increase each time you got kicked out sequentially ( once all the way to 5 clams). I did notice that some didn’t stick so I started going to Ollie land after each time to see if that would save them, seemed to help at least most of the time. I was able to knock off a few of morts tasks and items did register and are still there, but when I just did that with Stevie’s 8 hour task, didn’t count. I started with him again and left it with just 2 hours to go so we’ll see. So- cool idea, not working consistently yet – buggy. Weirdly,I have mixed feelings… on one hand I can see this as being awesome when you are struggling at end of event to make up for poor drops, but then… as DF likes to say- I like the challenge of the game- to “win” you need to really plan your strategy sometimes… and I think the temptation to use this feature could take away that aspect of the game (unless you opt not to use it of course). Love to hear what you all think if it is in your game.

iOS on iPhone and iPad and I see the new speed up feature. I didn’t do anything that I know of, it just showed up. Possibly a beta being rolled out to some? This has occurred in the past with new functionality.

it’s version 1.89.1 in iOS. so i’m thinking this feature is jus something they only let a few players have for now to try and test it out then eventually everyone will have. i do remember RT talked about them doing stuff similar to that before.

Yeah it seems like it is a beta/trial thing for selected players as I definitely don’t have it.
It’d probably be useful though when you’ve got an 8hr task and don’t want/can’t afford to spend the 16 clams to finish it early.

Woohoo! I love this. I just saw it for the first time, today, in iOS. Has anyone noticed any limitations to how long a task it will “bypass”? Does it work on tasks with drops? (I know that the cost, in clams, varies depending on what the payout is, when there is one, so I wonder if there are other rules.) But overall, this is something we have asked for, for ages, and I can certainly wait through a short video, to bypass a task that I accidentally assigned. Thank you TinyCo/JamCity!

yess it works on the drop tasks as well. now about the “limit” im still testing it out and so far there’s seems to be SOME? if that makes any sense, but i’m not 99% sure yet lol i’ve been able to do alot of them in a very short amount of time. i’m absolutely loving this feature!

In my game, I am seeing the video ad option and doing this results in a 2 hour decrease on the task. 2 hour tasks get done instantly! Not sure the cool down time and guessing this will spell the end of 2 hour tasks.
For those seeing clams drop, it seems those only appear when you watch a video but the task does not advance (apparently a bug/glitch), it then falls back to awarding a clam as it does when viewing ads for clams. Not sure what would happen if you hit daily limit. There will likely be no clam drop when this is fully functional.
Also guessing there will eventually be some type of limit on how many tasks this can be done on in some time period…

Yikes, I just got to part three of week 2 and get ready to save up those shampoo as you need to defeat the Trash Dudette fully with a 5x streak!!!
I’m also going to suggest to TinyCo/JamCity to see if they can fix the bug infested buildings. It would be nice to still be able to see if your character has finished their task or not underneath the bug. Right now it takes forever to figure out which characters have or have not finished their quests when the building is infested. I really hate events that have this mini game.

best way to find out who’s finished if to open up Lois in Al Harringtons, click on any of the items you still need to collect and then click Go next to the task required ie. Books > Chris try on used clothes
If the task IS NOT finished then it oen up the bug spray screen against the building.
If their task IS finished and ready to collect the game will move you to the building but instead of the bug spray screen a pop-up message from Peter will appear at the top of the screen saying ‘Aww we need X to do such a such’. Spray the building then and the task will be available to clear/item to collect.

There is no real reason to complete the questline. It is the last week of the event, so completion is not necessary to progress to the next phase. It us a trap to make us fall behibd, hoping we wil be dumb enough to spend clams

I have kind of the same thing, but its for Brain Damaged Ox. I’m not sure if I even have that character. Does your Tan Lines have an exclamation point over it too so you can’t place characters back?
I messaged Jam City with my player ID and they sent me a link requesting info. Hopefully they respond with a fix since I have a lot of extra characters that can be returned to Tan Lines.

Another thing I have noticed in past and still holds true, as soon as they offer an item for special sale the algorithms turn definitely not in the players favor for that item. Shampoos went on sale yesterday, since then I went 0/5 and 1/5 on building clears getting a shampoo. Rate, indeed.

So, I’ve been able to unlock Joyce and finish her mini quest already. However, I haven’t unlocked the last event building yet. This is the one that drops items for Joyce (which I’ve already gotten from the characters alone).
I’ve seen this in other events as well…where it seems like a waste to unlock the last building that will drop nothing for you. I realize they want you to use the full week to finish the quest, but 600 wipes is a pretty high amount!

They really didn’t think this event through properly. I have everything for Joyce except for 13 Makeup, which by my calculations will take another 6 DAYS to get (I get roughly two Dudette attacks every 24-hours). I haven’t got the last building either, but it will be useless unless it’s needed for next week. Such a trash event! (pun intended)

Possibly just save until you have 20 or 30 available shampoos to maximize attack rather than only a couple every day.

Yeah, that’s what I’m trying to do but the drops are hopeless – I’m getting rougly 5-6 per day, checking every 4 hours. I need 10 makeup, and have 10 shampoo. If I attempted it in one run I’d need 30 shampoo.

Is anyone having a game loading issue since the update? I even uninstalled and reinstalled. It seems to have happened on both mg tablet and my phone. I go to tinyco’s web page to ask their support team for help and when I click on that link it takes me to the futureama help page. Not sure what else to do. And I was making decent progress with the event too

I do always wonder why people would spend money on this game when the prices are so hilariously bad. e.g. Trash Meg COSTUME (not character) is 270 clams which is 10 freaking dollars (or $7.71 if you buy the 3500 clam pack). I’ve been playing this game for years and never spent a cent. I’ve saved up 878 clams right now, as there hasn’t been anything good to buy for ages.

Game won’t load for me either since the update on my android tablet. The initial blue splash screen comes up for a split second, then crashes. So I’m out until if/when they get a fix.

Anybody else having trouble finding trash piles. I sometimes go hours without seeing them… Do I need to clear of all unnecessary buildings? Could they be hiding?

Finding the trash cans 🗑 and Trash Dudette is quite easy.
Just click on the “Walking Man” button to “Spot the Trash!”
The button showed up in the last event; it’s located just above the “Coin Collect 3000” button.

Clicking on the icon on the right hand side of the screen with the man in it, is the easiest way of finding them, it will bring up icons to locate trash piles and trash dudette.

They appear on the broad and only get like 4-6 every 4 hours. Not seeing any for 2-3 hours happens.

I have bugs galore but no trash….so opposite problem. I know they are super hard to find, but I tore my town up, nothing. I got Pizza Stewie but at this point, I’ve given up getting anything else. If there is a trick to find trash, I appreciate it. Thanks

Put some road sections out and then if you can’t see them on road, click the “find a baddies” button on right side of screen, looks like a waking man.

I checked the faq and brought out all of the listed infestable buildings, not a single bug spawned preventing me from completing part 2 until I unlocked pizza delivery stewie. As soon as I did that, every building on the list instantly became infested.

I didn’t think about it at the time, so I forget the first two parts of the questline, but I kept track afterward. The event will end in 14 days (aka 2 weeks) on Wednesday, June 19th at 3pm Pacific Time (that’s 6pm Eastern)
I know as usual the Part 1 has 3 tasks …
1. Check the event info (Click GO to read about event)
2. Send Bonnie to “Organize the House” (4 hours)
3. I can’t remember?
Part 2 I believe had 2 tasks …
1. Send Jerome to “Take out the trash” (8 hours)
2. Clear 5 Trash Piles
Part 3 has 3 tasks …
1. Trash Dudette is here! (Click on Go to read about her)

FYI to all: TinyCo has been VERY helpful the last few events with including much of the information provided on this site in their FAQ section, I highly recommend reading through that each phase of an event …
According to the FAQ, trash piles begin showing up at Part 2 of the questline with 4 then spawn 1 every hour up to a maximum of 6.
Trash Dudette (the baddie) will arrive at Part 3 of the questline and requires extra strength shampoo obtained by clearing bugs on buildings or purchasing the Giant Perfume Bottle for 149 Clams.
The following buildings can be infected (up to a maximum of 8):
– Quahog Day Park
– Quahog Day Spa
– Madeleine’s Boutique
– Police Department
– McBurgertown
– Quahog Mini-Mart
– Tiny Tots Preschool
– Dansu Dansu
– Sleek Office

My app has been very wuirky this weekend. All of my characters (multiples in many cases- there are like 4 brontosauruses and chinese dragons) are roaming my land, but they’re also listed as stored in my hotel. If I click on a character that is walking around, it takes me to the hotel and asks if I want to pull him out of the hotel. When I clear insects, I receive rewards, but the insect doesnt disappear and the building remains infested. My character activities offer rewards from previous challenges (Herbert can do tasks that reward him with CDs or bananas or handbags).

Not sure what the game looks like on other platforms, I am on iOS, there is a small button with nine square dots in it that opens the Main Menu. I’ve been having random 10 to 15 second delays for a couple of weeks now, but I also have Chris stuck in a loop.
The Game Boy mission keeps coming up and after watching the video, it shows the mission as checkmarked, but then goes back to the video when I tap on Chris. Sad

Contact support and they will remove it from your game, had a similar thing with one of the characters in the last quest and they removed it for me.

Like some others posting I too haven’t had any more bugs show up in over 9 hours. I sent a help request to support so hopefully they are working on it especially if enough complaints go thru so they’re aware.

When will bugs start spawning on my buildings?
Bugs will start spawning when you start the event quest, “Talkin’ Trash Pt.2”.
A few bugs will spawn every hour and you can have a max of 8 bugs on your playspace.
So, it appears there may be a bug in the bug infestation as I am fully into that part and have all other steps done but clear a bug. I may wait til I get a nice load of bug sprays built up before in game messaging TC although they may already be aware? Clearing bugs possibly drops two things, one needed to battle a baddie who shows up later to get an item that up until that happens appears to only be available by premium character. The other drop item – disinfectant wipes still hasn’t become clear to me what they are for

Is anyone else not getting any bugs appearing over their buildings? After the first one not one has spawned. Normally I have the opposite problem that they spawn to many and block buildings that have characters that I need to progress with.

There are some delays getting bugs early in the questline, it will get better

Also, to get bugs, you have to have the right buildings out, in this case they are the same ones needed to send characters to to get stuff. I have had bugs on:
Quahog day spa
Police department
Tiny tots preschool
msdaleines boutique
Quahog mini Mart

I’ve had ZERO bugs appear since the update came out and have all those buildings out. As a result the quest line to spray a single bug is stalled.

Sad faced emoji. Those are the buildings I have out and no buggers… But, I AM building up a fantastic cache of bug sprays and loving the uninterrupted character tasks!

Is anyone else having a bug shortage? I’m currently sitting on 7 Bug Spray I can’t use because so far only two buildings have been infested.

There is a list of bug buildings, some of which are task related, in the in-game help section on the event. I’m roughly half a day into bugs being a thing in the event and only have the buildings specifically for tasks out and have yet to see a bug. Nice thing? I’m building quite a good collection of sprayers which come from trash cans which you can find with the “baddies” button as they are very small

You do not have to buy the premium for clams meg, other ways to get the items for whatshername appear as you progress in the questline
