Hey there, wondering if anyone else has this problem (apologies if its been addressed), A little while ago my game started offering 2 clams every time I signed in, then it went to 6 and now 7 every time. I can see that they register when they are collected but when I leave and come back later (A few hours) they are gone.. Is this a testing thing? a glitch? …..GREMLINS? any help is much appreciated.

Yes it’s a glitch few other players have, report it to TinyCo please

Anyone else here suspects a team vs team contest coming soon in this event? Its been some time since we had one, and this three weeks events seems like a good opportunity. If so, then we probably need to start stocking up on dragon breath for the warthogs…
Just to remind everyone, if there is such a contest, choose the left character (whatever it will be) so we have a better chance 🙂

This is the event format they first brought one in on, so maybe, but I think whatever they Undead Warthigs will play a part next week so the Dragon Breath will come in handy either way

Heading toward Part 7. Part 6 is: “Have Mayor West feel Like Royalty” and “Collect 375 Theater Masks” and “Clear 5 Undead Warthog.” I am also light on icepicks, but you don’t actually need very many to advance.

Parts 1-6 have been up since yesterday, there’s a post on it https://familyguyaddicts.wordpress.com/2019/07/18/pilot-season-event-main-questline-bit-parts/?preview_id=48818&preview_nonce=647ac53238&post_format=standard&_thumbnail_id=-1&preview=true

I’m just an hour or two from Pt. 7. Any idea what it requires? For my last 25 clears of Undead Warthogs, I got nothing. Then I realized it says chance of nothing. So now I’m just hoarding all the Dragon’s Breath drops I received from clearing all the icebergs with dozens of ice picks, hoping they will do something and have some value in Week 2. Any clue from TinyCo?

Tristan if you go to the main Questline post you’ll see Part 7 there, here’s the link https://familyguyaddicts.wordpress.com/2019/07/18/pilot-season-event-main-questline-bit-parts/?preview_id=48818&preview_nonce=647ac53238&post_format=standard&_thumbnail_id=-1&preview=true
Once you have all the Dirty Money and Spears the Undead Waryhigs drop nothing. As For will they be used next week, TinyCo don’t give out that info, but I’m guessing they might so I’ll be building up a stock of Dragins Breath.

Am I the only one that this event seems near impossible without the speed up version? I feel like I stay on top of my characters, yet I am no where close to completing anything.

Please don’t judge your play by those that have the speed up function, I’ve spent Clams and I’ve not unlocked Pusher Peter or Evening Prince yet. Some with the speed up function are whizzing through and making others feel they can’t complete things, just play at your pace and see where you get. I am passing back how you are feeling in events. I’m mostl concerned about the Ice Picks drops holding players back.

agree. the speed up feature sounds great but for those of us that dont have it we can’t compare our progress to theirs. we can only work with what features our games have so we just have to crack on and hope drops are kind to us.
speaking of drops… ice pick drop rates could potentially become an issue. i’ve had another 2 collections today that has yielded 0 so that makes it 2/8, which is now in the ‘rare’ drop rate bracket.
i’ve sent them a support message (and after answering multiple automated responses which have nothing to do with my issue) I got the standard ‘we typically respond to issues within 48hrs or less’ response… so fingers crossed enough other players have done the same and they review the drop rate here.

I’ve raised the isdue of Ice Picks with them, the drops are bD in my game also.

got the standard ‘we’re always looking to improve drop rates’ but so far not seen any changes for lois.
i unlocked pusher peter on sat morning and he’s the same if not more over the weekend than lois has since the start of the event

Lots of days left in this week of the event. Ignore the speed freaks.

For me, I love it. I know I can finish without having to constantly check. It’s more leisurely and enjoyable. I’m on Part 5 and I didn’t use any clans. And it’s Thursday afternoon. BTW, Part 5 is: Have Pusher Peter Protect His Investments and Place Epic Fantasy Map and Have Tom Tucker Register His Weapon. That would have been nice to know yesterday, for instance. There it is for anyone who wants it. I like knowing that players can choose more challenge by not using the FF or choose more leisure time and pace by using it. I love it, personally. It enhanced my game play a lot.

any advice how and where to hit them ?

Rather than me make a mess of trying to describe it here, I put a picture of the area to hit in the overview post, have a look as hopefully it will help you hit a few https://familyguyaddicts.com/2019/07/18/pilot-season-week-1-overview/

thank you 🙂 JamCity claims that you can only hit one so i assumed it’s broken .. i tried ur method and still failed. so i have to hit the “light blue” area ?

I just hit 4 a few times with one so nit sure where Jam City getting that info. Yes i target very small very light blue patch. I’ve put up a post with my method, not sure if it will help as it relies on luck as well https://familyguyaddicts.com/2019/07/19/pilot-season-icebergs-mini-game/

I am now forced to wonder if the rarity algorithms have been tweaked further due to the video fast forwarding. 4 attempts at Lois on the “common” pick drop have all come up dry. Another side of this is consistency. Why do some users apparently get rather generous drops and others abysmal?
LikeLike
I’m not sure if the fast forward would affect these as it’s only in limited games, but the question of different drops for different players has long been wondered.

Would it go quicker for you if you skipped the pictures and just listed text: “Part 5 requires Defeat X 3 times and place Building Y?” The photos don’t really add any value. We can all see what they look like.

No it wouldn’t see the post go up any quicker, there is only 1 picture used in the main Questline post and it takes a second to place and is then simply copied as each part is put in. You seem to be missing the point, and that is I won’t rush through every part of the Questline as soon as an event drops, I’ll rush the first few parts to get ahead of most players, post those parts and then play the game a little, lets me test drops etc, and then as I go I’ll give players the latter parts as I move along. This is how players asked for the main Questline post to be done. As it stands you’re the only player that’s asking for the latter parts of main Questlines within a few hours of the event dropping. You either need to slow down or speed ahead without knowing what’s coming next. But I do think if the fast forward feature is going to be used by players to rush through a weeks event in days it will be removed from the game, as players will then start to say they are bored as they need wait for Week 2 etc.
Also remember I’m not based in USA, I’m in U.K. and events drop in the middle of the night here.

Trusts where’s the fire? Manic episode? Too much coffee? When you finish or 4, you will see or 5. Give RT a break already. Next ou will be complaing you have nothing to do after you race through the questline.

this appears to be the same for me also. (except for the fast forwarding bit, i dont have that feature)
6 times i’ve collected from Lois since yesterday morning and only 2 ice picks have dropped. that’s more like uncommon, bordering on rare.
hopefully this will improve as the event goes on but it’s slow going at the moment. the theme of this event seems interesting too compared to others so i dont really want to be lagging behind.

I’m up to Part 5. The fast forward feature rocks. Is the full questline up yet? The links were not clickable for me.

Parts 1-6 are up, but bare in mind events drop in the middle of the night UK so the info won’t be up immediately. And also to be honest I like to play the game as well as writing about it so rushing through a week’s event in a day isn’t for me, so you may find I’m behind you, although I’ll still be ahead of other players.
LikeLike
No the full Questline isn’t up, I rush at a pace to get ahead of time info for average players, sorry but I’m not going rush faster to accommodate the few players who now have the fast forward feature that’s letting them blast through a week’s content in hours.

Does anyone know if there are any other characters except Rambo Lois and Pusher Peter who can collect ice picks?
I’ve been through the FAQ and seen the list people involved in Phase 1 but under the Ice Pick FAQ it says you can get them from ‘all event character actions’ .. which isn’t that helpful .. so I clicked through to the iceberg mini-game and how to collect picks from character but that just takes me to Lois. Was wondering if anyone else has come across a character that drops ice picks that’s not in that list.

Yeah it’s an error, you get then from Rambo Lois, Pusher Peter and Steel Throne Dragon, or buy them in the store.
