Just dropping by with a reminder to check the unlock requirements for Winter Meg carefully in Al Harrington’s. She is another one of the occasional costumes that has 5 different unlock requirements and some of you are still not noticing the 5th item, in this case Magic Dust, as they are off-screen.
And I know she’s going to be a tough unlock without you missing one of the materials to boot. Feel free to voice any concerns you have about unlocking her here.
When you click on Al Harrington’s you’ll his unlock requirements, but look closely and you’ll notice there’s a 5th item off the screen.
You need to scroll the unlock requirements to the left and then you’ll see the Magic Dust.
And here’s a quick note of where you’ll get them.

So I just bought Winter Meg, just before the event ended. I understand the frustration of many, but hey I am playing this game for years now. Passively playing 😁, and it shouldn’t bother people to use (already) free clams, thanks to historical society, to buy a final character. Or skip it, if you do no want to spend clams… Yeah, it is not cool, but those guys at jam city don’t work for free you know. It’s bad maths at their end, don’t get me wrong, but ‘let it go’ if doesn’t workout the way it goes. Winter Meg will probably be available in historical society in a few Ranks later. Just my opinion! Hope the game can go on for many years to come 😉!

Yeah, I’m gonna have to go ahead and say something was miscalculated on this costume. How is it that I have:
24/12 Anti Freeze Bottle
31/15 Ski Helmet
31/25 Strange Yoghurt In A Bag
37/20 Magic Dust
But only 18/40 Fire Elixir
Almost double of everything, but only half of the Fire Elixir……..

HORRIBLE DROPS on unlocking Meg. Defeating the blue monster is not possible without spending. On top of that, the greedy dang mystery box character. I have 3k diamond things I cannot use or convert to needed items.
Disappointment sets in again after it was going so well. I have the infinite clam loop on start up and no response from TinyCo.
Oh well, back to part time play.

This one is crazy. I had everything for Winter Meg within the first 2 days. But there isn’t enough time to defeat the ice-fire monster to get to 40. But this entire event has been awful — just to get costumes! No real playable characters at all. TC/JC really blew it on this one! And then not even to admit the mistake and fix it? The last building should be made to drop the elixir for Meg at least. This one is silly. At least I have finished the last rank of QHS and am stockpiled with medals and ready for the next rank.

So, they’ve reduced the fire elixir from 50 to 40, So still impossible to get enough,even if it was an always drop. If you could reassign the character within a second and you started the minute the week became live, the maximum you could get with an always drop is, with 2 characters. 4 on the first day, 6 on the next 5 days, and because of time creep, 4 on the 7th day. = 38. You need at a minimum 41 to defeat the ice fire creature to get enough elixir. That’s if it’s an always drop. As it’s uncommon drop, I’m getting 1 in 6. So to get enough at that rate, the event would have to run week 3 for 82 days.

Yes be tough even having the 4 characters that drop, but I tried to get more, not only to this but the Stranfe YoghurtIn A Bag drop, wasn’t to be this time, sorry.

I’ve only gotten 11 water elixirs in the first 36 hours of this week. Even if you paid 199 clams for the water elixir statue, I’m not sure you would get enough by event end, since it only drops 2 every 24 hours.

It’s going to be hard getting Winter Meg and completing all parts of the quest line due to the amount of “fire potions” required. Only two characters (Lois and Stevie have tasks for a chance to get “water potions” to defeat the Fire-Ice Creature, and these are 8 hour tasks! 40 fire potions is a crazy high amount under these circumstances! 😒

The fifth one is the easiest to get. Finished that off within two days. The fire bottles is the hardest as you need a lot of water elixirs to fight the ice monster. At an 8 hour task for two characters and the drops being terrible this looks like an impossible requirement. The last week in these events are just too frustrating to play. Also the building with the 12 hour task doesn’t pay out all the time. Why make it so difficult?

Not gonna bother with the Fire Potions (waaay to many) and the Yoghurt (15 goggles needed with bad drops). Still decent for the 600 medals and I am not too bothered because it’s only a costume and not an entirely new character. Still kinda sucks the difference between Winter Stewie and Winter Meg is this big

do you still get the medals even if you dont unlock the character fully?
i thought you can get all parts unlocks, received the trophy, and then that give you the 1000 medals as a full set?
im hoping i have this wrong and i will be getting some medals back as soon as get the final ‘Anti Freeze’ because I’ve got no chance of unlocking meg fully due to the fire potions/poor water elixer drops.

If you fully unlock you get a trophy. If you don’t fully unlock you’ll get pro rata medals for any requirements you fully unlocked – do if you get the 12 Anti Freeze you’ll get 200 Medals and so on.

ok, I had 92 medals prior to getting the last anti-freeze, and i still have 92 medals.
at what point do you get the medals? is it once the event is over?

Oh nice, I didn’t realise that either. I no longer care about not being able to unlock yet-another-costume, as I was mainly annoyed I wouldn’t be getting the trophy/medals. I have 4/5 items unlocked, so that’s a nice 800 medals coming back.
