Back in the day when the game was fresh I would always spend $$$ for clams to get cool characters in my game like Cheech & Chong, Bill & Ted, Spinal Tap, Star Trek, Don Corleone, etc. Nowadays who wants to spend clams & $$ on another Joe or Cleveland costume. Jeez I might even for something cool like Mob Wife Lois. But these days not a chance. Bring back the cool characters and maybe you will actually get newer players to pony up the $$ for clams to get ’em. Just saying’

Do people still have the fast forward watching videos option? My FF used to work and then stopped when the coin vacuum was having problems.

This week is simply impossible without using fast-forward or clams. The uncommon drops for Weights and Bongs are utterly ridiculous – quite often I’ll wait 8 hours only to get 0 out of 3 drops. I still need 21 Surfboards and 16 weights, which are not possible to get in 36 hours. It’s rather stupid as both week 1 and 2 I finished 3-4 days early and this week they should’ve made the drop rates “always” to even come close to being possible.

I’ve been FFing all along on beer bongs and I’m not in much better shape. Still short about 12 bongs and 5 weights to earn quagmire costume and only 18 hours to go. So yeah, drops ridiculous either way.

It was a copy-paste of the winter event, so Quagmire’s outfit is as hard/impossible as Meg. You had the 3er item with only one character on an 8h task that never drops and a building that seems to come late considering the poor drops, and the 4th item that you get from a boss fight for which you cannot collect enough ammo. I think if they they had included 6hs tasks instead of 8h it would have been better. Or at least lower the quantities; 25 and 40 is way too high, just as the 60 mini-game item in week 1
I have 20 weighs and 30 surfboards. I really feel that 6h tasks would have made it possible.

The drops to get the surfboards are horrible. Getting 40 surfboards will be a stretch.
It would also be nice to have some extra decorations to get with all my surplus currency. Why is it that whenever I have loads of extra money there are no extra things to buy and there are always extras when I struggle just to get the minimum required buildings?

So, I had an issue of the game not saving over multiple platforms, so I essentially could not play for a month. I made multiple pleas with in-game support and finally decided to email the tinyco support email address. Like magic, the issue was fixed the next day. I then mentioned the thousands of clams I had to waste rushing through the two events I missed (not to mention having to rush through the current event – 2,000 clams and counting to get caught up just for the one event) because they did not fix the issue in a timely manner. They decided 175 clams is enough for all the trouble. I wish we could decide who in support handles our issues. Some of the support people are very helpful, but one was particularly “charming” through this whole process. I decided to just drop the issue. I feel lucky to still have a job and be able to work from home during this time.

Games are supposed to be fun. Good game designs promote playing more, not less. And if games begin to feel like a chore then people will stop playing. I say this in reference to the lack of changes to the go for gold quests. There is nothing fun at all about manually sending 300 characters to go for the gold. I still do it but dread it. It’s time consuming and the game crashes about midway through quickly assigning that task. I do enjoy the Family Guy guy game more than Simpsons however it is way easier to send Simpsons characters on lots of tasks very quickly. I really do hope that quest for stuff implements some type of improvement here. I have enough “work” do do.

Flames. Why?!?! This game makes no sense. I gave up trying to understand a long time ago but, man, they just keep getting worse and worse. Ah, addiction. Could be addicted to worse stuff, I guess.
