I really wish I read this before I started defeating Shadow Herbert. I’ve already defeated him 3 times needed for 3 Firm Sticks for Fairy Tale Quagmire. I used all of my remaining Golden Apples and any Magic Apple Seeds needed to create the Golden Apples. Problem is that I’m only on Part 4. You get 5 Magic Apple Seeds each time you defeat the bumblebees and I need 26 for the next set of 3 Golden Apples.
Now that only Fairy Tale Lois can fight Bumblebees and it takes her two tries, I’m pretty sure I’m going to be stuck on Part 7 of the main questline and won’t be able to progress to Phase 4 for a little bit. I still need to defeat another 6 bumblebees for Bird Feed.
I’m sure several of you are in the same boat. Should I contact support about it? I’ve seen it before where if enough people complain they’ll change the requirements (or maybe it’s that they see enough people aren’t progressing on time).

I have a question. Do I have to complete phase 2 in order to start phase 3? I accidentally almost defeated Shadow Herbert 3 times, but I’m still at Pt 6 of the questline. So if I defeat Herbert fully, I need to defeat him completely again for pt 7. That will cost me 22 magic apple seeds, what is a lot

Yes you’ll need to defeat him for Part 7, and you need to complete the Phase 2 Questline to see Phase 3

Had the same situation where herbert had 3 health left on part 6 of the questline, when I attacked him it marked that task of part 6 off to complete fully part 6 (so would make sure you have done all other tasks in part 6 before you attack him again) and then marked completed the task in part 7 that said to fully defeat him

Prt. 4 it says that clearing skunks gives honeycombs. Not for me. Only way I can get them is Lois and trading honeypots. Is that a typo on your part or am I missing something?

There are two very real problems with this week.
First, with bumping the bee health up by one, now it almost always takes two fights by Fairy Tail Lois to deflate one bee swarm, and you need to beat them 10 times. Lois’ double hit percentage is too low to be able to count on getting single fight kills, so getting the needed 10 defeats within 7 days is a pretty low chance.
Second, some people may have already backed themselves into a deep hole if they used a bunch of left over week 2 honey pots to make honeycombs early in week 3. The more conversions you do, the higher the requirements are each step. I’m up to needed 15 pots to make 4 honeycombs, which will make the questline part of creating 10 honeycombs difficult. If I spend 15 posts, then I’ll need to collect 18 pots for the next 4 honeycombs, so 33 pots to make 8 honeycombs and then still 2 honeycombs sheet of moving past part 4 of the questline. The short version is that you could be badly messed up if you got too far ahead early without knowing it.
After two easy weeks, they made this week nearly impossible, and there is still another week to go.

did they just change the Bumblebee health from 8 to 9 within the last 12 hours, so it now requires 2 attacks from Fairy Tale Lois?

It really sucks because now she is the only one who can beat them and takes a full day to beat 1 pack. Might be able to start an attack if your timing is right…in any case certainly made it harder.

Yeah, it’s so annoying. As always, it’s still possible to one-shot them but I’ve only had it happen once this week so far.

Yep, with the increase from 8 to 9, every quest line part requiring that bees are killed and the rarity of the cups means that this week is slow and boring. All I’m doing is sending people on the same task and having Lois attack bees 3 times a day. Then once you finally earn Quagmire, you’ll do a few quest lines with him and next week he’ll be useless again because they’ll nix the fights again.

Is part two somewhat different for everyone? I’m just asking because mine has “have Meg wish upon a pumpkin carriage,” and not Herbert, and I was curious if it was different for everyone else depending on their personal games?
