Pricing

Stewie Gambling

The Family Guy: Quest for Stuff currently offers two types of currency.  The in-game free option is coins.  The in-game premium option is clams

While you can earn clams in the game (for free) you may want to consider purchasing one of the packages (using real cash) to unlock more premium items.  In addition, while you certainly can earn coins in FGQFS, you’re also able to use real cash to purchase additional coins (which we don’t recommend doing!).

Curious about the pricing breakdown?  Here are the details:

2014-04-10 18.27.36

2014-04-10 22.25.33

These are the prices set by TinyCo in the USA.  Your country may have a different rate & those rate changes are based on your App Store.  They’re taxes and fees imposed by your App Store NOT TinyCo.  These base prices (above) are the prices set by TinyCo and have not changed.  If they do change we will update this page.  Remember the above pricing is from the USA.

All purchases are in-app purchases using either Google Play or the iOS App Store.

  1. I figured out a trick to getting a free 24 clams a day via the “Grand fairytale library” . It drops 6 clams every 12 hours, what I do is wait 1 hour into the 12 , speed finish it with 5 clams & by doing that I’m rewarded with the 6 clams 11 hours early!! If you repeat this 24 times a day , you gain an extra 24 clams daily instead of the 6 twice daily.

  5. Why is it that clams cost more (approx $5 more) on an iPhone then on a galaxy for the exact same game account? On android it costs around $20 for 600 clams and on iPhone it costs $24.99

  6. Say… I have a problem, on the Play Store I’m logged in with one Gmail account, which i have a credit card linked to, but on the FG app, when trying to buy clams, I get thrown to other Gmail account I have (with no credit card linked to).
How can I fix this? Or any way to use my account with the credit card, because I don’t want to link it to the other account, and besides the one with it its the one used by Play Store :-/
    Makes no sense! T_T

    • Next time you go there… look at the screen in payment options. There should be an arrow next to the amount pointing down. Tap on it. Alternative payment options should then pop up so you can put in gift card or credit card or w/e

      • I have this exact same issue. I was given a tablet from Mom and unfortunate, it was her Play information when I installed the game. I want to purchase some clams but I don’t want to tie it to her account. All I get is to Add a PayPal or Credit Card or Redeem code which will tie into her account.

I don’t see any other options to pay besides setting up a Google Wallet.. The way you suggested, to me it looks like you are still putting it under the Google Play user account..

I would add my CC and then remove it, but I am reading once you add a CC to play and it is your main, you can’t remove it until you add a new main..Not going there!

The only way I can see with out adding is to get a Google Play gift card and redeem the code.

        • Hmmmmm then my suggestion is to get a prepaid card or a google play if you can and use that. I’ve always been able to use cards one time or add and delete them.

          • That’s what I end up doing to be safe.. I was able to add the gift cards with out any issue. But then when I made the purchase, it wanted the Google Play account password.. UGH!! Lucky Mumma gave that to me so I could purchase.

I wish you are able to change the “Play” email for the game so you can tie it to your own account. Once you download it and install it under someone else Play account, it looks like it is locked to their account. To bad TinyCo. didn’t have alternative ways to pay instead of going all through Google Play. But again, that may be on Google terms for adding the game to Play Store..

  7. So just over £6 for a character? This is what’s wrong with micro-transactions and why I will never spend money on this: the greedy prices. I would gladly spend money on this game if the prices were reasonable for the content. Oh well, the game is still very fun if played for free.

    • Actually…the prices are reasonable when compared to all other app games out there. Remember…it is just an option… if you choose to play for Freemium content you have no worries. 😉

      • Not to necro a post but i disagree. I have been playing clash of clans, boom beach, candy crush and pet pet rescue for quite awhile and have never been forced to spend anything but time for content. People should pay for convenience, not content.

        • Each has their own method and way of cash, how each player views it will depend on their game play and desires in the game. I as well threw my luck into all those and each and everyone had their idea of a “Pay for it” option. Candy crush is not like this game, and it was a lot more simplistic to me… so I never saw a need to use cash to play. There was some things in Clash I did see a need for cash to continue, so I stopped playing as it didn’t feel fun to me. There are still many opportunities to play for free in this one, you won’t get it all… but you can still get a good amount. All in time put in. Each game has a different spin on it.

In the end, regardless of how you play… find a game YOU enjoy and if you like it… pay into it to keep it alive (someone has to pay the bills). If not, then don’t. 😉

When did the sale end? I just bought my first box of clams thinking that I would get a box for free but I did not”
My question is the same as Kevin’s. I do not see any button to tap either with my Iphone or android tablet.

    • If it’s no longer listed on your task list then it’s gone. Not sure when it ended, if it ended officially, since I took advantage of it back during the full moon event

  12. Didn’t know that the buy 1 get 1 task works when purchasing a box of clams too. I bought the 4.99 box, got my 130 clams, then got a bonus 130! That’s 260 for 5 bucks, by far the best deal! Just thought I’d share! 🙂

    • It’s either that or the price just keeps dropping. Or maybe they tie it into how many buildings you have? At level 32 and now 33 it is offering me 1075 coins for $1.99, FWIW. But that’s probably what I rake per hour anyway, so I’d never take that deal.
