Race Track

There’s a new Race at the track, The Fast Times Race and it work pretty much the same as last weeks only you need different drivers and a bit more Gas. Basically to start a race tap on the Start Grid in the event area and you will see the Race Screen, now you’ll see you can choose between last week’s Qualifying Race and this week’s Fast Times Race.

You will then see above who can compete in Races. But again before you can Race you’ll need to start collecting Gas Cans, here’s a reminder of how you can get them.
Gas Can (Common) – Get from Gas Pump, Premium Gas Pump (Always)
Once you have Gas Cans, you’ll need 4 for each Race, you can choose which characters to send on your Race team. You need at least 1 from Pete Racer, Ricky Bobby, Pit Crew Chris and Cal Naughton Jr. But be aware sending more than one will increase your odds of successful drops. Once you’ve selected your Racers just hit Let’s Go, and the Race will run like a task for 3 hours.
I’m going be honest the UI for racing is poor and doesn’t make clear what you can win, but I’ve simplified it below.
Cost to Race: 4 Gas Cans
Characters you can send Racing: Pete Racer, Ricky Bobby, Pit Crew Chris or Cal Naughton Jr
How many Characters do I send: 1 is enough but 2 is better and 3 is even better. The combination you send increases the chance of Clamade Sponsorship’s & Racing Tyres dropping.
Race Time: 3 hours
At the end of the 3 hour race you’ll see your rewards and these will be from the following.
Win Race
5 Prize Money &
3 Clamade Sponsorship & 3 Racing Tyres
Lose Race
5 Prize Money

33 Spark Plugs & 4 McBurgertown Sponsorships & 3 Clamade Sponsorship
DRAG RACERS

These are the little baddies in this event from last week and are still used this week. Just like last week before you can clear them you’ll need to get some Road Spikes, you’ll get them here:
Road Spikes (Common) – Get from Chris Push The Limits, Jerome Get A Flat, Seamus Drive With No Limits, Buy from Store
Once you have a Road Spike you will find Drag Racers driving on your sidewalks. Simply tap one of them to bring up the targeting screen. Then move the Road Spike until the green target circle is on a Drag Racer, you’ll know it’s in target as it will turn purple, then simply hit the check mark to clear the Drag Racer..
The event rewards for clearing Drag Racers this week is as follows:
Per Drag Racer Cleared
4 Spark Plugs (Always)
1 Wrench (Chance)
There you have the overall basics to get you started through the second Week of the New Event. Where are you so far? Anything particular you like the most? Suggestions or tips to fellow players? Let us know.

Is this event really easy for everyone else? I had to pay 80 clams to unlock Ricky Bobby at the end of week 1 and now week 2 is also going badly with no way to earn McBurgertown Sponsorships / Clamade Sponsorships / Racing Tyres (since every race loses). Makes me feel like I must be “doing it wrong” somehow! To relieve the boredom I have built a complete track with all the prize money, but that doesn’t help reach any of the goals…!

Are you playing on facebook? I find winning impossible on fb but ok on android – another fb glitch?

No, playing on Android. I’ve finally had some wins today, almost as if they’ve flipped a switch. This has enabled me to place the The Unfriendly Possum at last. I did send a message to TinyCo support about it yesterday; haven’t had a reply back.

An easy week so far… I’ve finished the main questline and will just stockpile resources. I won’t bother getting the Beer Hat Shop, and I also didn’t bother with the Pole Position Club. I haven’t unlocked the Chris costume yet, but that’s quite achievable in 3.5 days

I think i spent over 1000 clams to try to get Cal Naughton Jr…never got him 😦

Well, I’m a little upset… I went & used {a LOT} of clams to purchase Burt Reynolds in week 1 but now he’s already useless!? He didn’t even help in gaining Ricky Bobby only unlocking Pete Racer *sigh* Gotta say I’m disappointed with this outcome as I thought he’d be available for races throughout the entire event.

The premium character tends to really only be helpful in a big way for the week he/she is released in. Always been this way.

There’s only 1 costume to unlock for week 2?!? Nothing more?
Really? That’s it? How cheap! >_>
