Family Guy Addicts 
Why don’t these games ever come with instructions when they release new stuff? I know that is what you guys are for, but it drives me crazy.
They released the new Mutant Stewie stuff and it is very confusing with no info on what goes on. A Ray gun, batteries, and Mutant Stewies locking up buildings – and locked buildings cannot be collected from, nor can characters get sent on tasks that use those buildings. Also, lots of new buildings that drop items for things not released. Very confusing.
I guess I will just wait for your wonderful updates so I can know what is going on…

I created a different FB account for the game so I can add friends. I followed the instructions in help & support to change accounts, but when I got to the point to actually switch, it said there was no game attached to this account and my current game (level 40) would be deleted. I stopped and contacted support, since that’s what the instructions say. Anyone know what to do?

Yes. I have it attached to my personal FB account. I haven’t been getting friends for the game for privacy reasons. So I set up a separate account just for my game, no personal info. So now I want to switch my game to the new account.

I had to do it myself…it’s a BIG hassle. Only TinyCo IS able to unlink your game then re-link it to another Facebook account. Send them your info and reason for doing it. It might take some time.

How do I remove people from my friends list? I have people from my Facebook friends list that randomly appear without me adding them and they are stuck at level 1 and constantly have a “!” saying I have to check a friend’s town but they only have two people in the town so I can never get 3/3. Is there any way to add friends not on Facebook? I have friends yelling at me they don’t want game requests and the tool to add them seems quirky at best.

The only way to remove them is to delete them from Facebook, unfortunately.
As far as adding friends with out Facebook…currently there is not a way to do this. I know TC is working on some alternative options, but right now Facebook is the only way to add friends.

With the Cleveland event, I purchased the museum at the beginning of the event, but never got all of the items for Cleveland. I’ve read that once you place the museum back into your town, he should still be accessible, but he has never shown up to continue getting items for.

i was playing on my samsung tablet then it updated and it wont load now it tells me null frame for road_straight_n_pt1 in prefix road _straight_n_pt1 what does that mean ive tried clearing my cache and cookies and uninstalling and reinstalling and still nothing i have spent alot of money for this game and now i cant play Really????

Ok try this sequence for me (1 more time if you did it once already. Clear your cache. Uninstall TQFS. Restart your device. Redownload TQFS from the App Store. And see if that helps clear it out.
Let me know if that sequence, and downloading a fresh copy from the app store helps.

As long as you have your game backed up with an account (either email or facebook) try the following:
-Hard close TQFS
-Clear the cache
-Uninstall
-Restart your device
-Redownload direct from the App Store on your device.
See if that helps clear it out. 🙂

Hey there. I had a question about the space this game takes up on our devices. I’ve noticed the app growing significantly in size since I’ve been playing it. It started as little more than the game’s size alone, 50mb. Now the app’s “data size” is nearly 2Gb. I don’t know if I can keep playing if it keeps growing. Our even if it just stays this big. I’ve looked it up and no one seems to mention this problem anywhere.
Do you know what the deal is? Did I just not get a memo everyone else did that warned us that the app would be seriously greedy about memory? Is there any way to reduce the stranglehold this game has on my memory card?

It’s like Tapped Out…a GIANT memory suck. Although I think the current increase is directly related to everything for this event. I think once the event is over the size of the game will shrink again. These events take up a TON of memory and space, which is why some of the older devices can’t handle it & crash. I would say just be patient and see where it sits once the event is over. 🙂

Oof… Another 40 days of this app growing? That’s gonna hurt… I’ll see if I can keep it up but eventually it might become impossible for me to sustain. Hopefully not, but only time will tell.

I was just wondering but I started playing family guy on my iPod and linked it to my Facebook, and now I have started a game on my iphone and logged into my email account and now icant log into Facebook. To invite anyone! As it will delete my saved progress!

So, trying to understand. Did you set up an email account on the iPhone that linked to a game? If so, you will have to give up one of those games. The iPod or iPhone. It is just a matter of going to the Menu, Account Settings, Log in as Someone Else…and putting in the info of the account you want to use. Whether Facebook or Email. You can’t link the two games set up on two different areas.

Then I suggest uninstall the app. Restart. Reinstall. Then play til it unlocks the menu and log in. Ive had to do that a few times. 😉

If you never synced it to an email or some account, I honestly do not know. My best suggestion is to email TinyCo right away and see if they can help recover it. They are only ones with access to the games.

I got a new phone and redownloaded the family guy app, and although it welcomed me back since it’s linked with Game Center, all of my progress is gone. I have to start all over from the beginning. I was previously on level 35. Is there a way I can start where I left off? I really don’t want to start all over again.

I cannot get the hero gadget shop. I keep getting rid of the mutant stewie’s from the buildings but whenever I hit go next to the gadget shop to place it, it won’t open.

It seems to me that you’re playing a hacked or modded game. As that’s not something currently in the version available from TinyCo. This is why, i’m guessing, you’re having trouble. A hacked or modded game is not supported by TinyCo or their servers & therefore the buildings/tasks are unreliable and often cause crashing or other issues. My best advice to you…is to clear the cache, uninstall that version from your game and redownload a version from TinyCo from the app store. That’s the only way to ensure you won’t have issues like this in the future.
Also, just a reminder…hacked or modded games is against TinyCo’s gaming policy and if they find out and can potentially shut down your game.

It’s actually poorly written. It’s just saying your old game will overwrite the level 1 game that is on your iPad. Hit ok. Since your old game is linked, it’s info is safe on the main server.

Another player had this happen. It should unlock AFTER the event ends. Do you have Cleveland unlocked yet? My guess is “No”. Several characters that are needed to unlock Cleveland have had tasks reassigned to collect Blam and items for the event. This also happened to the S&M Lois outfit during the Full Moon event.

No i havent unlocked him. But he is in my inventory. Thats what i find odd. Why place it in my inventory if i cant place him. So i cant get him now? 😦

So just a couple of questions first. Did you play during the full moon event? If yes, did you repair the museum? If you did those two things, then you should be able to still unlock Cleveland once the event was over. However, some of the characters may not be dropping the items needed temporarily. It should resume when the Comic Con event is over.
Now…if you didn’t do those two things Cleveland is currently not available for you. They’re looking at ways to bring in back in the future, but for right now he’s locked. The house is in your inventory because once they can give you a way to unlock him the house will be yours as well.
Seems strange, I know. But it’s just how they introduced Cleveland’s house into the game. They placed it in everyone’s inventory. If you had Cleveland unlocked you could place it, if you didn’t you couldn’t place it.

I haven’t played in a while, but when I started it up again a couple of days ago I signed in to discover that Quagmire’s house and the library are missing from my town. I especially wonder about the library, since I’m still in the process of unlocking Brian. I’ve checked in my inventory and nothing! What happened??

A while being around the fourth of July, when my game stopped working. However, that’s been fixed recently. And I do have the most up to date version, since I had uninstalled the game when it stopped working and have just recently re-installed it this past Sunday.

Check to see if they relocated back into the main menu and listed as “FREE” on the cost. If not, get back in touch with TinyCo and see if they can look into what happened to it. It could have been missed during the fixing process.

It’s more of the need to add more exclusive buildings, and cool characters to your town. Plus they do generate more coins and XP. But be forewarned, the number one complaint the most….if not all “owners” have, is they only helped with a few items a while back, but now, NEVER help out collecting “event currency”. I own them all, Consuela and the Brain Damaged Horse are a riot…Jake can be annoying and Buzz (cool house, but BIG)….emphasis on the zzzzzzz. But these are only my opinions. I’m sure there is some love for all the premium characters out there. 😉

Thank you so much for sending this in. We’re tracking an increase in crash reports that began with the most recent update, and actively working to fix it. We’ve flagged your ticket for further investigation, so they can use it to track down the root cause.
Our highest priority is to resolve these crashes for as many players as possible, and we’re tackling it by reducing the memory demands for new and old content. We’re making a number of changes in the next 1-2 weeks which should improve performance for mid-range devices.
For the remainder of crash reports during loading, the next update should alleviate these for more players. We expect the update out in 3-4 weeks.
In the meantime, if you are still experiencing crashes, please try the following:
1) Force quit other apps running on your device, such as streaming music
2) Reload Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff
Due to TinyCo Support receiving many reports of this issue, we’re marking this for followup once the update goes out. We apologize that we can’t fix this immediately for you, but the team is hard at work to resolve this for all players. Thank you so much for your patience throughout this process.”

On the new update of comic com every time I try to claim a prize it doesn’t let me, it just shuts me out hen logs out of the game. (I have an iPhone 5s)The game is up to date and everything I’m not sure what I should do or what could be the problem but I want to claim my gifts!

Many devices, it is just a matter of holding the home button and closing all apps including Family Guy. Some you have to go to app settings on your device to do it. Each one differs a lil. Just another way of shutting down the game.
Electronics are funny lil things. Sometimes they just need a “kick”. Like powering down and restarting. It helps to refresh the device.

Sounds like it may be that point where you uninstall and resinstall the game to see if it makes a difference (ONLY if you have it synced to an email or Facebook as all your game will save to that.)
Outside that, TinyCo is the next step so they can look into your game.

It’s a known issue with older iOS devices. They’re working on a resolution for it, but with this update there’s just so much in it some of the older devices can’t handle it. Check out this post for more details…

I logged in with Facebook when I first started playing the game, but then logged out for reasons I can’t remember. I recently tried to log back in via Facebook and got a message saying that if I log back in via Facebook my level 36 account will be replaced with the level 4 account I last logged out with. How can I log back in and keep my level 36?

You have to contact TinyCo and ask them to relink your current account with your Facebook game. Basically overwrite your Facebook game with your new game. They’re the only ones who can do it.

You can’t. Sounds like you may have to delete some apps you don’t use often. The Facebook link just adds a locator address, in other words, a way for TinyCo or your loaded game to find your saved gamed (on the main TinyCo server banks)

Ok so I tried to play this on my ipad 3 so I downloaded it ran the game played about 1/4 -1/2 of the tutorial and it crashes…ok np so I open the game back up it loads and brings up the game for about 1/100th of a second and crashes again so I try again and again and again but it still ALWAYS crashes as soon as the game runs now so I tried un installing and re installing didn’t work iv left it be for almost 2-3 weeks now and the game still crashes just as soon as the game finishes loading and starts nothing I do fixes it I even deleted everything in my cloud account yet some how it’s still saved in my cloud account any ideas as to what has gone wrong?

Do you have ANY other apps open when you try to play? Make sure everything is hard closed. Nothing running in the background. Also, how much space is on your iPad? The game is an extreme memory hog. If your device senses that it can’t handle the needs it does an auto close of the game. You can send an email to help@tinyco.com Ask them what performance issues they have had on iPad3s.

Hey, is anyone else having the problem of Quagmire not showing the “chance of dropping Blueprints” icon when task is in progress? He did not drop any since the last complete task (he usually does). The rest of the characters have the icon in task but not Quagmire…anyone?

Can’t log back into my account! Says it will replace my game when I try to sign in as a new person via Facebook. I’m at level 39! I cant lose my progress! I have already emailed tinyco.

If you already linked your old game to your FB account, your old game is safe and saved. Had you recently reinstalled your game? If your just trying to sign back in, don’t select “sign in as someone else”. Just start the game and enter your Facebook info. Now if your trying to switch FB accounts with the old game, you’ll have problems. Give me a little more info? 🙂

Thanks for the quick response before. In a panic I deleted the app on my iPhone, not my iPad. Now reloaded, it won’t let me sign back in on my phone without offering to start me over, though it recognizes I’m on level 40. I had about 100 dollars invested into this game… and my iphone 4 that had it fell/cracked/broke. I bought a new iphone 4, logged in with my apple account, downloaded the game, and I’m a level 1 with no things. How do i get my town back? Is that money gone? I just invested 50 dollars into two of those stands that get 250 comicon cans every 8 hours so I could get george takai and now I’m going to miss him 😦 Please please, someone help. My friends say they can still visit my old town so it exists somewhere…

Hi I recently had an error which resulted in losing The Drunken Clam, It happened whilst I moved it, loads of these error messages kept popping up on screen (I’m using and android tablet) The Drunken Clam is gone and can’t be bought, without it I can’t move on I have messaged TC 6 times heard nothing, II can’t find an answer to this issue anywhere, I’ve paid money into the game and got quite far and just reached the Asian District

No I figured this was an error linked to my account and the issue will still be there when I reinstalled the game I read on a review on Google play store somebody lost the Buzz Killington Mansion through moving it and an Assert Error was thrown up I think that’s whats happened to me.

Just seeing if anyone has tips. Tonight when trying to load the game on my iPhone, I started getting a Load Error, which claims there are “placeables out of bounds”. As of right now you can’t get him. He was part of the Full Moon event and limited-time. However, I now TC is working on a way to bring him back into the game in a different way. So hopefully he’ll be back soon for those that didn’t get him 🙂

Having problems connecting to Facebook after an update on android. It refuses to reconnect to Facebook saying there’s already an account under my name. I know there is and that’s the one I want but it only gives options for “restart at level 1” or “cancel”. The fudge >_<

Ok, so my load bar when installing the game gets up to about 7/8ths (estimate) of the way there, pauses for about 3 minutes or so, then crashes. I installed this through APK (it’s a non-modded APK) because amazon store doesn’t have this game. I’m on a kindle. Other games, like Plants Vs Zombies 2, which I downloaded by APK (because amazon doesn’t have that either) work fine, so it’s just this game.

No. The only time that comes into play is when you’re operating on different versions of the game (like when one app store updates a day or 2 before the other).

My level bar is stuck at level 40 since the update when they released 10 more levels. It’s actually stuck at about one third since maybe two weeks now… Is there something I can do about that?

Just delete the game, then reinstall it again. It will start at the beginning. When it gets to the part where you can open the “main menu” do so and select “account info”, set up an “@ user name account” this will link your game to your email account and save your new level 1 game in case you ever have to uninstall it again. DO NOT SELECT the Facebook option (it will reload your old game). Let me know if you have any problems. 😉

If the Facebook account you want to link with your new level 1 game is different from the one linked to your old game, you can do it. When your in the “account info” section, select “sign in as someone else” then select the Facebook option. Enter the NEW Facebook account. You will be warn that your old game will be deleted. Select ok.
But, if your trying to link your old Facebook account to a new level 1 game, it’s very difficult. Only TinyCo can unlink from one game (your old one) and then relink to another (the new one). It’s a big hassle. You would need to contact them from within your old game using the “contact us” feature in the help section. Good Luck 🙂

Hi, sorry if this has already been covered, but I have a question regarding a quest for Tricia. Basically she has a quest to ‘Sabotage Tom’s Mustache’ it requires ‘Quahog 5 News’ but I don’t see it anywhere to buy. Am I missing it, or is it a building that is coming soon? Thanks 🙂
