Hey there Missile-Snows!
Hopping back by to go over some of the New Items that just hit our games. A quick reminder of the Event Ending and a fun Silver Bells Mystery Box with some “helpful Materials” inside.
Let’s take a look at the items.
END OF THE EVENT COMING
With the End of the Raid to the North Pole Event set for 3pm Pacific on Thursday, January 7th 2016… TinyCo wanted to remind Players of some of the things that will happen at the End.
- All Materials you have not used will go away. This is anything from Magic Hats to Silver Bells, etc.
- Any Characters NOT unlocked and live in your game will go away. If you have a Character sitting outside a Building that you are trying to collect Materials for to unlock, you need to complete that BEFORE the Event Ends. Any Character not walking around your game by the time the Event is over will go away with the Event.
- Any Characters not purchased with Clams will go. This is the time to debate if you REALLY want any of those Premium Characters and if it will be worth it to you to spend Clams to get them. Those not purchased will go when the event does.
- Any Buildings or Decorations from the Event will go with the Event if not purchased/earned. Any items in Mystery Boxes, Santa’s HQ, or the Shopping Cart Menu that you have not yet acquired and not placed into your game, will go when the Event ends. So make sure you make those last minute purchase BEFORE the end.
- Any items in the North Pole will go to Storage. Any of those Decorations, Buildings, etc that you have unlocked and placed in the separate North Pole playing field will be dropped into your Inventory Storage once the event ends. This will allow you to then pull any of those items into your Quahog out of the Inventory Storage after the Event is over.
- Questlines continue? For the majority of Questlines, they will go when the Event ends. The ONLY ones that stick around are brand new Questlines attached directly to unlocking a Brand New Character/Costume in the game. Like Sarah Connor for example. Her Questline is directly linked to her and not the Event, so it will continue on after the Event.
- Claim your Leaderboard Community Prizes! If you have access, go “Claim” those items including God before the event ends.
In short, if you want it… get it BEFORE 3pm Pacific on January 7th, 2016.
NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION BOX
There is now ANOTHER Silver Bell Mystery Box in our games full of items to help you through the last parts of the Event. The New Year’s Resolution Mystery Box. So what all is inside that you can get for 50 Silver Bells a try?
These are the items I say in my game, let me know if you see different.

11 Cider (though it showed Missile-Toe and I believe should be Missile-Toe) This should be fixed now to say/show Missile-Toe, let me know if the drop varies at all still.

4 Escape Plans
1 Gun
26 Knife Magazines

All great items to help many of you catch up in the game using the basic Silver Bells Currency.
I only had 3 chances in it.
WHAT IS LEFT FOR ME TO DO?
I see some of you asking “What Else”. Without any further information, this looks to be it. If you are done, all I can suggest is to keep helping everyone hit the Leaderboard Goal to get God. Beyond that, start organizing your town and getting ready for what may come next if you want. Make room for any of those North Pole Items you may want to pull into Quahog after the Event. Etc.
There you have it, the End is near and a HUGE helping hand for the game items from TinyCo.

I wasn’t sure because the leaderboard didn’t update the very last day, but I somehow made it in to the second tier‽‽ so I won the nutcracker headquarters, which I didn’t realize?!!? and I also didn’t realize it was actually a new skin for Bob’s fun land!!🎡 🎢🎠

It doesn’t bother me, but now the event has ended, I have nothing relating to it in my storage. Not sure where it’s gone, but such is life 🙂

My mistake was I was clicking on the shopping basket icon instead of looking in my inventory. I knew it was most likely a case of PEBCAK…

Lol. #1 Problem I see (as well as TinyCo) is many “assume” Inventory Storage and the Shopping Cart Menu are the Exact same thing. So they look in the wrong area and don’t realize the items they think are “missing” are actually right there… just need a bit more searching for as they tend to hide them and mix them in with all the other things in Inventory.
#2, they go to Inventory Storage … but don’t look everywhere or in the wrong tab (Building instead of Decorations).

Loaded my north pole with decorations. Spend 2000+ silver bells in the last 10 minutes.
Got alot toy tracks to build up a nice train around some parts in my quahog. I actually have a town that’s decorated and that looks cool so it should be interesting how the train will turn out in my town.

Not trusting TinyCo at the end of the event so I am making sure I don’t have any characters in the North Pole come event ending time. The buildings are going to inventory so if they were in one of them they for sure wouldn’t complete the task and could possibly be stuck forever in the building. I have the luxury of being done with the event so I am not scrambling to finish things off like some I am sure will be. Just trying to be forward thinking based on past experiences.

In the Star Trek event in March/April last year all the characters on the Enterprise were boxed into my inventory when it ended, so you should be okay.

Also all the Characters that were in the area or on tasks were dropped into Inventory too to make the transition from The Enterprise back to Quahog.

With the glitch record for this event, I am not sure I trust TinyCo enough to let them put everything at the North Pole into storage for me without losing anything. I might just start moving stuff manually…
Surprisingly enough , I am actually done with the event. After being behind almost from the start, the last phase went a lot quicker then expected. Even got the timed building this time. Now I am just doing battle to increase the medal count. Gotta do my bit for the last community prize 🙂
Only got three tries at the silver bells box, and was really not sure what to spent my 3000 bells on. Until I discovered that you can build really elaborate tracks with the toy train, complete with switches, crossings, the lot. So now I’ve blown about 2000 bells on tracks and trains – the most fun I had in the whole event. I only wish the Springfield Monorail would work like that…

Same here, built a massive track but I’m not sure what I’ll do with it in Quahog. Maybe work it in or maybe just forget about it lol. 🚂

Switched? Crossings? I have none of those options to purchase. And I’ve seen people post about curves track as well. None for me. All I have showing is straight pieces.

It’s how you place them. Put ones in a line. Then at end of line put one going opposite direction… voila curve.
In middle of the line put one going opposite direction… voila split track. 😉

it automatically curves when you put pieces at right angles, and if you put a fork in the track, the switch is also put in automatically, as are the crossings when you build a cross out of the single pieces.

If you stop placing tracks and then start placing tracks one square away and go from there you get a 🔁🔃type track!

Oh wow, thanks for telling us that! I’m sitting on a bazillion silver bells and hadn’t thought of building a cool train track (which could maybe used for a “maze” on some future event).
Hey Bunny, this reminds me: My Terminator thingy building I bought for clams disappeared maybe a week ago. I haven’t messaged TinyCo because it seemed low priority as I didn’t need whatever it dropped by the time it vanished. I would like to eventually get it back, though. Do you possibly have an idea whether the event’s ending will fix the glitch and any missing buildings will show up in inventory just fine? Or do I need to get off my butt and message TinyCo before the event ends or risk losing the building forever?

(and *only* in WTD, for any brand new readers, hahaha) I really hope your health has greatly improved or is quickly doing so — I can no longer live without you and am not ok with illness invading your body! 🙂

It should’ve been placed back in your inventory in the North Pole. If not, I put this in “issues” post, you needed to message them.

The box doesn’t appear in my game, I am on the second part of the event. I have never opened the box either. I got a message saying the box is in the game but its not in the shop.

I was excited to see this thinking I’d get something useful for my 2000 silver bells, but I was cut off after three tries. Got wreaths (useful) and cider and cider. Pretty sure I didn’t need the cider but no idea how much I have. Hopefully they’ll add that to the learnings and they’ll fix that similarly to how they made it possible to see how many silver bells in the store.
Really loved this event despite the missing vehicle and character issue, LOVE the community prizes.
Also was hoping for a mystery box using up presents. I literally have 10K to spare.

Same, I had over 2k silver bells with nothing to use them on and was glad there was a way to make them useful, but I only got to open the mystery box 3 times.

I got only two tries on my Mystery Box, but after the second attempt I didnt hit Retry, and when I went back, the box was gone. I needed alot of items from the box, but it dissappeared.
Not only that, the first time I got eyepatches…which I didnt need. So I really only got one useful try.
Sadly, there is no way I can get all I want from this event, I still have not unlocked week 4 or 4, so Herbert and Quagmire are not even a possibility. I am hours away from getting Snake, so I guess I should be thankful for that.

Well, not really mt best event, but not so bad as Thanksgiving. I opened phase 4 yesterday, so I’ll miss a lot. I should be able to get Herbert’s outfit, and luckily God since we need less than 400 m. I don’t know if an extended week will make any difference to me – I was always 2 behind – but no complaints if it happens.
A random question; do you know if the snow will go away with the even or if it’ll stay the whole winter?

I got a lot of cider, maybe 20 bottles, which was desperately needed. Whole bunch of wreaths were useful also, except I’m too low on fuel to use the vehicle they upgraded. … Oh, well, it’s the thought that counts!
There isn’t enough time left to get Brian unless they speed up then drops.

It looks like I won’t even get Sarah Connor before this event ends. The game just won’t drop Knife Magazines. 5 times in a row a sent Quagmire to get them and got zilch. Uncommon, not!
Also it looks getting God will be very close to the deadline of the event closing. We still need just over 500 million medals. I’m getting worried we might not make it.

Like others in the event, I’ve got 1600+ presents and nothing to spend them on. Would be nice if I could go back and unlock Lyle or buy wristwatches or something, but I guess they’re useless after all.

I was really hoping for a present prize box ,
so I’m exited to get something, to help out with leveling up. But im also a little disappointed because the box has came and went, and it wasn’t for presents;(

I only got 2 open the box twice then it went even though I still had loads of bells left. So glad this event is over…. I really hope they don’t start another 1 straight away.

Question for people who have tried the mystery box: will you only get items you need or is there a chance you will get items for a character already walking around in your game? Every item is listed among the list of prizes when you click on the box.

You won’t get items that do not apply to you of course. Only the ones that do. Just like the last Silver Bell Mystery Box. 🙂

Then something is off with your game. All my test games I only got the items I needed… then it went away.
Like my main game… I have it all… so I only got 3 spins that gave me materials for battles… then it was gone.

Same as LPH for me…I already have Snake in my game but I got both eye patches and purple hearts. After my fourth time on the box it disappeared. The other two prizes I received were cider and chestnuts.

Bunny, is there any chance TinyCo will provide an official position on the wristwatches for Brian’s skin? Theories that his final collecting task was supposed to be something totally different, but what they selected in its place was not possible to obtain freemium in the time frame it was dropped into our games. Are they sticking with it and forcing people to finish the skin with clams or are they still reviewing it? I have been done with the event since Saturday so I am just checking in to collect the wristwatches, but will shut down entirely if this is a play to force people to use clams for the skin. I don’t need the skin for anything in the event so it is entirely an extra for me.

If you started it the moment the Event hit… it actually worked out to exactly 60 watches with the Two Buildings Freemium. Outside of that, they are most likely monitoring game progress to see where everyone is. It is their final decision to make changes or add additional items to help Players earn them.
In the end, it is always our choice at players to go for an item or not.

I would challenge your statement that it works out to exactly 60, but I saw you tell someone that you can do math too and the poor guy fell to his knees for bringing it up. :p
I don’t need the skin for anything (been done with the event for a couple of days), but I am failing to understand the logic behind a reasonably important item being a two-week collection and then the second week cutting it so close to the end that he can’t even be used. Just make him premium from the start instead of half collecting for him. Freemium players are going to pass automatically, premium players are going to snatch him up automatically and the rest will have to make a decision based on his value at that point in the game.

It did work out to that… the reason I said that “I can math” is that I was in agreement it was cutting it way too close so not sure where you are going with that. I did contact them on it as well as sent on numerous comments from players.
Keep in mind this is not MY game, it is TinyCo’s… so taking out anger and aggression on me is really unnecessary. So saying you need to “challenge” my comment really has no merit or need at all. It seems a lot of times players, like you are doing right now, are upset with the game mechanics and use our site as a target to release all that anger out on.
End of the day, remember that THIS site is here helping you. I am a player myself. I see things myself. I have the option to also share what I see first hand with the game developers. In short, be nice to those offering you support. 😉

Honestly, I’m surprised (and disappointed) that they aren’t extending the event to make up for the week I lost to missing vehicles. If not for the massive technical problem, I think this would have been one of the better events.
As it is, I won’t get the Brian (36 watches) and probably not the Quagmire skins especially as three of my trade ins require items from Santa’s factory which unlocks after Quagmire.

I am seeing the new mystery box as a way of helping players along. Getting the items quicker and faster to help others “catch up”. I think once everyone uses it up, they will most likely check again to see where players are.

Go to the North Pole, then into your Menu Icon (lil blue cracker looking thing), then to Inventory. They will show up in your Inventory in the North Pole. 😉

If you want all the inside info to the Event… the best location is the Event Page. It has all the posts for the Event linked so you can see where you are and what applies to who… etc. 🙂

I opened the box three times and accidently hit the button other than retry. When I went back the box was gone. I don’t know if I was only supposed to get three tries or if I kept hitting retry it would have kept going. I’m not terribly upset as I didn’t really need a lot of the stuff from the prize list. The only thing I need for character/costumes are watches and they weren’t in there. I was just trying to get stuff to help level up my ride vehicles.

I assume like the last one, your individual “tries” will vary on what you already have in the game. Like on the last one, I had all the Characters so I only had one try and got the Snowflake Medals. Haven’t opened this one up just yet to see how many I get… will see in a bit. 😉
