Do I Want That? Ferris Bueller

So you think you’re as rich as Carter Pewterschmidt? Own a fancy house like Buzz Killington? You sure gotta lot of clams there, whatcha gonna do with them?

BUY LOTS OF STUFF OF COURSE!!!

Clams

Now hold on there a minute. Are you SURE you want that? With all these cool Fast Times At Griffin High  limited time event items in the game, it is very easy to get carried away. Before you know it, Clamshell Shock! All gone!

So before you go ahead and buy to your heart’s content and your wallets empty, here’s a few things you might want to know about Ferris Bueller.

Character/Costume: Full Character
Clam Cost: 270 Clam IconClams
Unique: Yes
Drops: None
Size: N/A
Other Info: Has a 4hr task to clear Science Nerds.

PROS:

  • A New Character for your Quahog
  • 4hr Task to Clear Science Nerds (Each Science Nerd cleared always drops 9x Hamster Wheels & 1x Homework)
  • 2 Animated Tasks
  • Fully tasked with Questline

CONS:

  • Frakkin 270 CLAMS!!!
  • Not Voiced
  • Animated Tasks are a bit meh
  • Won’t be useful after the Event

Math of It:
I wanted to give you an overall idea of how he COULD benefit your game play. And it’s simple you can use Ferris Bueller to clear Science Nerds, letting you build up the essential resources they drop quicker. He will give you a head start, as you otherwise can’t clear Science Nerds until you’ve unlocked Cool Kid Peter. How much of a head start you ask, well a very good one as the task to clear Science Nerds  is only 4hrs long and the drops are always, so you’re guaranteed 9 Hamster Wheels and 1 Homework every time you clear a Science Nerd. So to be honest although he isn’t essential to progressing as you will eventually have Cool Kid Peter to do this task, he will make a big difference to how quickly you move through this Phase.

So basically to reiterate his Clear Science Nerd task is 4 hours long, so you will be able to clear up to 6 more Science Nerds in any 24 hour period than you could with Cool Kid Peter alone. And of course you can be using the task now so that’s up to 6 times a day whilst unlocking Cool Kid Peter. So that’s the main gameplay benefit of this buy, you can immediately start to clear Science Nerds.

And remember each Science Nerd cleared always drops 9x Hamster Wheels & 1x Homework.

Final Thought:
Personally I’m not massive fan of the character. But I really like the head start he’ll give this week, which is a busy one for me, me so I grabbed him. But if your clams are scarce, think carefully and weigh up whether or not clearing those extra Science Nerds  every 4 hours is really worth all those clams, I think he is as the drops from those cleats are always.

But it’s just as well he is this useful as his animated tasks are boring and he’s currently not voiced, so really his usefulness with the Science Nerds and/or his allure as a popular culture icon is his main way to our Clams. I wouldn’t have bought him but for the 4hr task that he’s going find himself stuck on for the rest of the Phase.

So there you have it the facts & figures and my personal thoughts on one of this Phase’s premium buys, Ferris Bueller. Just remember though with it being part of a Limited Time Event, just make sure you make up your mind as once the event is over it is most likely they will be gone. In the end it’s your call as obviously hat you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only share our thoughts and let you know what we did and what we think, and why.  But don’t purchase it until YOU are sure. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

  1. BTW, for anyone that won the Clam generator in the MIB mystery box at the end of that event, it doesn’t clear with the coin vacuum like previous ones – you must collect manually if you haven’t noticed.

  4. Bought him because I liked him. Fearful he will be worthless to this event after week 1. Pretty hefty price tag for only one weeks worth of help.

I really would like Principal Shepard to be included in this event. Seems unlikely though, as he is not included in “yearbook” for Griffin High.

    • Yeah but weird considering he’s on the loading screen. But Michael Pulaski isn’t in year book and he’s coming so maybe there’s still hope

Bought him right away. Love Ferris! Plus, don’t mind the head start on the nerds. But C’mon tiny…..270 clams!?! Although, I can’t complain too much….I really think they’ve been knocking it out of the park for the last 2 events….then again….it only could have gotten better. LOL

  6. I’m on the fence with this one… I like the character, but it’s so damn expensive! I’m still bitter about buying Zed in the last event, only to find out he was only marginally useful in week 1 and no other weeks. I would pick up FB in a heartbeat if clearing Nerds was important for all weeks (is it?)

    • I reckon we’ll be clearing something else next week. But obviously that’s just my opinion, not based on fact. I also feel rather he should drop Lipstick, 48 rare for Cher, I’ve got 0 from clearing rodents so far. Only other character I’d like is Zac, but as its a costume for Stewie I fear it will be a mystery box prize.

      • It kind of looks like they expect us to take a while to unlock Cher. There is no timer on her but to have to get 48 (rare) lipsticks is certainly going to take a while. Especially since there is only one way of obtaining them.

  7. I took the survey recently [whilst the MiB event was on]. One of the questions asked was (something like) “in the game, what would you like to see in the future?” My first response was “just keep on giving us characters / buildings / people / anything from the 1980s”. Now Ferris Beuller is the game. Looks like I got my wish! 😀
