I wish they would have had firefighter Chris as an outfit for their sale. I have a questline with Sheamus that I can’t continue without that costume. It triggered some time ago and won’t go away. I’ve messaged TinyCo a couple times, but the quest keeps resetting. I guess I’ll message again.
I did get an offer for Principal Shepard, so that was cool. I didn’t get him from the past school event!

I picked up both Negatron and Chuggs. The latter was a bit of a sore point for a while because tinyco incorrectly flagged my account for cheating when he was an event prize and so I never got him (even after they removed the “Cheater” flag)…but I have over 1000 clams from ads and such even after buying both, so I figured I may as well. Negatron is great. I should be on track to get Liberace too! Overall a rather good event I would say.

Negatron and Chugs for me too. Glad that I looked at this topic as I hadn’t really thought about picking any of these up however full characters for 135 clams are good buys!

Ok…..I got carried away and went a bit mad and bought ALL 4 characters & costumes that were available to me: Negatron ( yeah! A full character!) Italian Plumber Chris ( a fun little costume) Toy Car Joe ( Hmmm…not sure about this one?) and Angel of Death ( beginning to have buyers remorse over this one: it’s basically death with wings & a halo)
Now begins the long job of building up all my clams back up in time for Christmas………..

Negstron was the highlight for me and an instant buy. I’m wavering on grabbing Italian Plumber Chris, it’s a fun costume as you say.

Want to get some advice from the seasoned players. I received an offer to buy Jesus and Black Jesus for 14.99. Would you recommend to get them as new characters? Price does not seem cheap but they can join God, Satan and Ganesha in my game. Granted that Jesus drops one clam a day for one task, it may be better returns to just buy clams. But would you all buy the characters, if you did not have them?

I have both, but I got them freemium just from playing when first released. They do drop clams but it’s not an always drop, it’s a rare drop, so don’t base your purchase on getting daily clams. Both have a 24hr task to drop 2 clams on as I say a rare basis. On average I maybe get 2 successful drops a week from them. And I gave the Touchdown Jesus costume which has a similar rare drop but you get 4 clams. Hope this info helps

RT, thanks as always for the frank and pointed comments. My only reason for buying is that i thought the characters looked fun and great addition to the other religious leaders in my game. But the rare clam drops put me off. I guess i will still wait for American Dad characters to make a comeback someday. As I’ve said before, Roger is what I hope to have eventually, and will drop clams or buy in a heartbeat. Wait goes on.

I personally wouldn’t – I detest this recent practice of making you buy characters for CASH when the game currency has always been clams. Even in the last few days there’s been an offer to encourage you to buy clams by rewarding you with gold tokens, watch videos for clam rewards, then suddenly these clams are effectively worthless as you have to spend MORE money to buy stuff when you might already have several hundred clams! Ridiculous!!

I would buy them for 135 clams each, but $15 of real money is madness. I get all of my clams from watching videos & refuse to spend real money unless characters are $2 or less.
