CHARACTERS

Little Drummer Boy (Character): 250  Clams, has 4hr task to clear Confused Mom, Can shop at Best Bytes

Should I Buy – bit of a boring but sweet new character that will help you move quicker through the final week of the event. But I think he’s one of these buys that is down to whether you find the character endearing or not, he’s not an impulse buy. So if the character makes you smile, then bring him to your town, if he doesn’t save your clams as neither of the outfits he’ll help you unlock, Reveller Quagmire & Vacation Santa, are that exciting.

Elf Stewie (Character Costume): Top prize in the Santa’s Little Elf Mystery Box that costs 125  Clams per try, can shop at all stores!

Should I Buy – Great new character costume for Stewie, real shame can’t buy outright for clams as he’s in a mystery box filled with items that are mostly booby prizes, but you know I would give this a try as its Stewie. I’ll put full details in the mystery box section later on in this post, but for your information I was lucky and won him on my 1st try. Woo Hoo.

Vacation Santa (Character Costume): You’ll be directed to place him for unlocking at Pt 2 of the main Questline Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.
28 Sunglasses (Always): Shop at Best Bytes
25 Board Shorts (Uncommon): Mort Change His Shirts, Santa’s Vacation Home
85 Aloha Shirts (Rare): Complete tasks on Santas To Do List
22 Surfboard  (Rare): Shop at Balls Sporting Goods, North Pole Mini Golf

Reveller Quagmire (Character Costume): You’ll trigger the Side Questline to starting creating him at Al’s at Pt 2 of the main Questline Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Can shop at the Best Bytes store. 20 Clam reward if unlock within 4 days
Requires
11 Captain’s Hats (Always): Shop at Best Bytes
40 Whiskey (Uncommon): Clear Mall Cops, Quagmire Drink A Nightcap
93 Boat Shoes (Uncommon): Complete tasks on Santa’s To Do List
11 Smoking Jackets (Rare): Clear Confused Moms, Elf Casting Agency

BUILDINGS

***The Buildings for Week 2 can be found in the The Quahog Shopping Centre – you’ll find full details in that section below***

DECORATIONS

Hot Toddy Stand – 120 Drops 2x Hot Toddy every 10 hours.

Should I buy – Just like last the previous weeks Stands I’d have said snap it up at 50 clams but in the final week at 120 clams, I’d say pass. I certainly have.  This is a tiny 2×2 decoration that will help you get Hot Toddy’s but I honestly don’t think any of the freemium unlock able content is exciting enough to entice any clam spend to help get it.

SANTA’S LITTLE ELF MYSTERY BOX

Costs 125 Clams per try. No duplicate prizes, so basically once you win an item it leaves the box.

Prizes:
Elf Stewie (Character Costume)
150 Clams
Pilot Quagmire (Returning Character Costume)
Starlight Express Peter (Returning Character Costume)
Italian Plumber Chris (Returning Character Costume)
Gingerbread Griffin House
5 Laptops
90 Presents
18 Hot Toddy
3 Peppermint Schnapps
5 Cellphones

*** Obviously the star prize is Elf Stewie, and it took me 1 attempt to win him. My results were as follows:

Elf Stewie

Total spend to win Elf Stewie: 125 Clams

Should I try: It’s a lot of clams on a game of chance to win a costume, sure TinyCo have listened and removed the repeatable materials, but materials still make up the majority of prizes, and are they worth 120 Clams in the final week? Not in my mind they aren’t. But the odds recently do seem to be a bit higher of winning the star prize, so although the Mystery Boxes are still overpriced in my opinion, you do have a better chance of a good outcome. I certainly got lucky.

  1. wish i had time to unlock krampus but oh well this event was very very slow in getting to week 3 for me 😦

  2. Save those presents!!!! Just bought all of the event shopping stores and stuff. Messaged TinyCo about keeping the tree. Almost maxed. Hope we can!

Now what about the donuts? Now they make them available in the store? What am I missing here?

  3. I just started week 4 on Jan 2 2018. 24 hours to complete this . NOT!

  4. Any else notice any weirdness with the Little Drummer Boy Questline? In the cutaway scenes, the dialogue seems to indicate someone should be talking to Stewie or Brian but the image of the Drummer Boy is what shows up.

  5. Did anybody notice a decrease in drops since Week 4 started? The Snowman is dropping very few donuts, and Krampus isn’t dropping any booze for the last shop. Also, the confused mums are not counting on the To-do List when I clear them. Not likely that I get any outfit now.

    • I didn’t encounter any issues,Mia it worth messaging TinyCo yo clear your game cache at their end, sometimes helps with drop issues

  6. For those people that are wondering if it is possible to ever finish an event playing FREEMIUM, I’m in week 4, tree level 15, Blitzen Bar level 17, I have Reveler Quagmire and over halfway to Sandy Claus. I have finished 6 of the last 7 events fully without ever paying money or Clams. I only spend Clams on Full Characters that are never part of an event, never costumes. Total FREEMIUM player

  7. Hot Toddys are causing a huge bottleneck. At best I’m getting a 25% drop rate on the, so I can’t go shopping which means no phone which stop me upgrading the bar so I can’t get anything from the shopping centre.

The event has been easy so far but TC is going back to it’s old ways with this one item.

  11. Finished the TSTO event Prize Train with a little under four days to spare, and yet with five days left of this sorry excuse for an event I’m not confident I’ll unlock Krampus. 17 reindeer and counting, while my tree is stuck on level 10.

    • Unless you spend clams on premium items then expect to fall further behind each week. I’ve learned to just accept the bitter disappointment and frustration that goes with each event. I am reasonably happy with this event, but suffice to say it will be my last. TinyCo have ruined the Futurama game, so I’ve decided to stop playing both Futurama and Family Guy when the current events finish. That’ll leave only Tapped Out to play, which has brought me nothing but joy for the past few years.

  14. once again we enter the part of the event i will never see. just so i have an idea of what it takes to participate in a premium event… can you all give me an idea of how much $ you have spent on this event.

    • It’s difficult for me to say just now as I’m rushing things to pull info for the posts. But I’ve bought all the premium characters/costumes and those gave helped quite a bit. Maybe others can tell you how much they’ve spent

    • I haven’t spent any clams at all and I’m in the current week. My bar and tree are only around L14, so I’m further behind than the premium players.

  15. Over 24 hours just waiting on horns for Krampus with no luck. Ridiculous that I’m sitting here stalled because of Rare drops from buildings only with an 8 Hour drop time. That’s just silly. But hey I’m the proud owner of a useless reindeer army of 73 and counting. Easily the worst event I’ve played on this game. Hope the next one is better.

    • I hear ya…I waited the same amount of time for the last two to fall…

    • I haven’t had drop issues til the last stage now. I can’t get hot toddy’s to drop from krampus even though they are common, although I’m getting surf boards from stewie like they are common even though they are rare. I don’t know exact laptop requirements to get the level 15 tree either, but at this rate I won’t be anywhere close even if I harvest every 4 hours.

Was an ok requiring event up until this last stage it seems you almost need to spend clams.

      Like

    • Have you unlocked both buildings that drop the rare horns? It went extremely slow for me until I unlocked the 2nd building then both dropped for me within the day. Take heart that you still have 4 days to unlock. Good luck and don’t lose faith.

I have no idea what possessed me as I usually avoid Mystery Boxes like the plague, but for some reason, I gave it a go and got 150 clams on my first (and only…so far…) try…torn as I was hoping for Stewie costume, but odds are even better I’ll end up with the deco or unneeded consumables…so doubt I’ll try again, but that’s the first one (besides character-only boxes) that’s given me something I wanted, lol!
