Anyone else notice that the payout for Clam TV has been lowered considerably? What the deuce????? I’m down to 2 a day 😡

Does anyone else experience the game crash when you use the rush task feature? I’m glad they have it because I still don’t get notifications. Been using the feature to make up time and hopefully get further than before but the game crashes when I click the 2hr. Also…as you guys have said before with the drop rates and stuff I’m still on I guess on week 3 (trying to unlock Joe). Really wanted the Bald Eagle Giant Chicken, love the bird and don’t have the character.

It’s a pity he wasn’t available to unlock or even for clans as Bald Eagle Giant Chicken is the best costume in the event.
Couple crashing reports with the speed up feature, think it’s just in testing for limited amount of players at this time.

My game’s been crashing too with the rush task feature but I get a clam everytime I reload it. So far the only time it works for me is battling the swift chicken.

I am having a real hard time accumulating the firework this week. Am I missing something? The protesters don’t drop them and the chicken is hard to get then doesn’t drop many. I am sending all characters I know of on Jon’s but it seems there are only a few fireworks here and there this week. And as everyone else has commented the chance rating on the building drops is not even close to reality.

Just a comment, and figured WTD would be the place to do it. I think the “Rush task by two hours” feature has really changed the game. As a (mostly) freemium player, my enjoyment wanes when I just can’t unlock a character or activity fast enough. With the rush feature, it has brought the fun that I imagine Clam buyers experience. (And probably how EA testers and such play the game.) If it wasn’t still fun I’da stopped a long time ago, but this new found freedom of just needing hot dogs and being able to speed up the drops til I get them has brought a whole new dimension to the game. My $.02

Ah drag…I didn’t know it was only for some. But yes, I hope they adopt it! And…I bought Clams so they wouldn’t think the feature will stop the occasional Clam purchase altogether! (You’re Welcome!) lol

Unfortunately, it has disappeared from my game and I am back to sadness. Hoping it comes back as a full game feature as I think this was just a beta run…

On the chicken counter quest I have gotten a grand total of 5/15 chickens. This is not even funny it is so sad and broken.

I can’t get lobsters to drop for anything – hundreds irate Protesters but nothing throw at them. Chickens been pretty invisible also…. but it’s just a game so not going stress about it. I could buy him out but it’s last week so no rush.

I’ve had good luck getting the chicken with Joe exploring the tailgate. Pretty close to every other time, and only 3 hot dogs.
Another tip for getting your 15 chickens: send Cleveland, Lois, & Peter to fight the chicken BEFORE the chicken is there. Then just don’t complete those tasks until there is a swift chicken there. You will often have Joe find the chicken, clear it, and send Joe back to look again all in a minute or less.

Jerry- thanks! Great strategy! I used this and the “awesome” option to find 6 chickens in about 18 hours. Now I’ve completed all of the event and I have the quick chicken running around. Why I actually wanted that I have no idea!🙄

Have you noticed that the drop rates get WORSE as the event goes on? Common becomes Rare, Always becomes Chance. Seems like there’s little to no way of finishing these events anymore without having to use/buy clams, or buy premium characters. Even then, the characters that you but aren’t used for anything else.

Why even bother having probabilities of drops for the battles with the chicken? I’ve fought numerous battles where the probability for one drop is high and the other drop is low, and gotten the low drop 75% of the time. I understand that it’s not 100% guaranteed, but it’s not even close IMHO. It’s almost like there is a game algorithm that knows what you need to advance and avoids giving it to you to slow you down and perhaps buy your way out. They should either fix the drops to reasonably match the probabilities shown, or just drop the probability bar and just list the items that you have a chance of getting and leave it at that.
Also, does it seem that they are just reusing character models they already have for the clearable characters without any regard for what they are supposed to be? How are tubby people jogging “protesters”? That’s just lazy.

Well, the giant chickens and aliens allies were pivotal in the American success at the Battle of Yorktown…wait…maybe not….actually, I think it’s an homage to the film, “Independence Day”, but yeah, it’s pretty forced as I’m not sure where the chicken fits in…reminds me of the sports event last year where the characters were an American Olympic skier and a relatively obscure NBA player…even us Americans were a little perplexed by that one…this one, too…

I have the very same complaint. I’ve sent Lois and Cleveland specifically to get a drop with a higher percentage and gotten the opposite! This has happened several times with both characters. It is quite annoying. Seems to be a very low percentage of getting the chicken to drop as well. I’ve only gotten him once so far.

Absolute agreement here. My Quahog is absolutely rife with “Irate Protestors” and I cannot trigger the Chicken to earn Empire State Joe. You would have thought that there’s be a maximum number of Irate Protestors that would eliminate them from the pool, but if so, I haven’t reached it.

No. They have YEARS of fake costumes to throw our way with very tenuous ties to actual episodes. They must be making money still, otherwise this would have disappeared.
