Hey there Addicts, it’s time to find out where how you’re getting on in the latest event to hit our games!Yes with the final week halfway over I thought it was time for the Where Are You Now Poll.

So  you best get busy casting your votes Addicts. And remember the results will show and update as players answer, so it will also let you gauge where you are compared to others.

Thanks as always and feel free to leave any feedback or thoughts in the comments.

  1. Worst event since the Cookie Trucks. Very poorly executed. Unfortunately, it’s the trend. They must have downsized staff who test events, draw artwork, and write comedy dialogue. It feels like the game is dying and they are just trying to squeeze a little more money out of it as players drop like flies. And that’s sad.

    • The game is in it’s twilight time, I’d not expect a full staff on it like the early days. I’m sure very few spend much money now, but those who do are reason there’s still a game to play.

  2. I finished the Main Quest line, but still need 5 Banshee Tears to get King Stewart. I saved up my Sage in order to defeat the Lavender Ghost 5 times in a row. Problem is, after defeating it 4 times it does not seem to offer Banshee Tears as a reward (only Holy Water Bombs) for defeating it the 5th time in the steak. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks.

    • Yes only 1x to 4x drops Banshee Tears, I pointed this out to support but no change I’m afraid. Hitting at 5x is a waste of resources.

  3. We need a Deus Ex Machina pop-up box offer to “Buy 10 sage for 10,000 Gold Skull Coins” or something like that.

  4. I agree they knew King would be impossible to get Freemium. That’s why he’s not in the Questline — which I finished on Friday. I’m at 30/40 on Tears. No way I’m spending clams on a costume. But it’s an unfair event if 97% of players can’t unlock the skin without spending clams. It’s supposed to be something you can do without spending money, if you apply yourself. King can’t be done on time. There needs to be a REVOLT against this Evil King. He is a despotic. Down with Bad King Stuart! All Hail the New King!

    • The final character to unlock is sometimes not used in events, I can name a few events such as Pilot Season recently. I agree they got the unlock requirements wrong here but I guess this reminds you what many players who don’t have the ff suffer every event whilst you post about how you’re done in a couple of days. It’s somewhat sobering to have a reminder of what things are like for others. It’s why even with having an amount of Clams whereby I could buy everything out in minutes, I don’t, I like to be ahead of players but still play in a way to see where players may struggle and feed back to TinyCo. I did this with Sage & Banshee Tears this event but sadly they didn’t change things, probably as they’ve been concentrating on fixing Facebook glitches etc. On a cheerier note of your revolution, I’m sure evil King Stewart III will rise to take his throne again, so you can maybe get him then, and then exile him to storage for his crimes.

      • Agreed. But King Stuart was just a costume, wasn’t he? He can’t go to storage. I hate costumes anyway. I’d rather not have the costume than have it. It just means it’s one less annoying skin to scroll through when I need a particular skin for some task. I wish they would stop making skins and just convert them all into real playable characters that can at least go into Tan Lines — out of the way — and earning Stewie Bucks in case they decide to ever make them useful again.

        • Of course costumes can be stored, in the character’s wardrobe 😅😅😅 it’s funny as for every person who hates costumes/skins, another dislikes having multiple full versions of the same characters.

Most long term players Tan Lines is full so any new characters just get put into the inventory. I’ve asked few times for another high capacity Tan Lines floor.

  5. This was one schizophrenic, disjointed event…too much useless currency – once the main quest line is completed, the coins are useless, the dust busters and ghost traps were useless after Phase 1, and the Lavender Ghost drops an inordinate amount of bombs…as compared to a dismal amount of Banshee Tears…I finished the main event quest line several days ago, but I’ve gone 24 hours without a single Scroll or Sage drop, so no closer to the King Stewie costume…even if they extended the event (which I don’t want), I doubt I get close enough to justify spending clams for him even with the 35 clam reward…it’s just a costume, not a character…in the meantime, I keep bombing mini-deaths and ghosts just because they are there…I like the mini games, just wish they were meaningful – surprised the ghost game became irrelevant after the first week…they should have given Sage or Scrolls for them as it would have been a more even event…

  6. uncommon drop rates for items only 2 (or 3) characters can get is just greedy. I’ve said it before. If items are uncommon, make them 4 hour tasks. Common can be 6. Rare should be 2. Longer task times for guananteed items. It just frustrates players to have an 6 or 8 hour task result in nothing.

Zero chance of collecting enough banshee tears for King Stewart III without spending a ton of clams. The sage drops have been utterly dreadful. TinyCo are back to their bad old ways with this event.

  8. The drop rates for the death certificate and banshee tears are abysmal. Seriously thinking of giving up Quest for Stuff. What is the point of waiting so long for the game to load to receive drops on things from two phases ago, and not at all for King Stewie. I get the feeling they would prefer we all stop and do something else.

  9. My question is for the 2.66% that have unlocked King Stewie……how???

The sage drops are terrible. I even have the speed up feature, but it doesn’t really help when characters drop nothing.

    • I spent a lot of clams as I was testing the drops and a possible glitch. Otherwise I’d be miles behind. But I didn’t vote in the poll I’d unlocked him.

  10. Stewie characters and costumes always seem to be on the tougher side to get, when they’re not straight up pay-to-get. I’ve been unable to get several of them over the years. I won’t be getting this one either. One full day left and I think I’m at the pointless to continue spot.

    • I agree and I’ve pointed this out to them, Stewie stuff is rarely premium and this happens. It’s not fair way to set up the Phase.

  11. I’m mostly a freemium player, and I’ve been playing since near the start. I may spend clams on the first character offered in a quest. I’ve finished some quests really early, some at the wire, and some are not even close. This one will not be anywhere near close to being completed.

I’ve got 16/25 death certificates and 22/40 banshee tears for King Stewart III. I most likely won’t finish the quest line either, with only 8/15 classic books. I play a lot throughout the day, the drops just haven’t been that good.

It’s frustrating to not even come close, but so what? It is mostly cheap daily entertainment. Sure, I’d like to complete the quests every time. If all of them were easy, I probably wouldn’t play as much.

I like this silly little game. It’s not perfect, but it is fun.

  12. I’m just a couple of books away from getting the last building, so I’m sure I’ll complete the quest line, but no chance of King Stuart. The drops of the Death Certificates and Sage to fight the Ghost are dismal and it won’t even be close. I wonder if they knew that it would be almost impossible to get King Stuart since he isn’t needed to complete the questline.

    • they prob made it almost impossible so people would spend cash/clams on premium items to help with the event.

maybe a way for TC/JC to recoup some ££/$$ to pay for the development on the xmas event 😛

      • No, I think they didn’t run the stats, as even with premium items Week 3 is a tough one, especially as the premium Safe shrine didn’t drop Sage until yesterday and Joan Quagmire’s Sage drop is dreadful. I’m always disappointed when an event ends on a week like this, especially when there’s a Stewie costume up for grabs as anything Stewie is so often premium.

    • what stinks is the last building doesn’t drop anything you actually need. It should be dropping sage or tears. Nope. You get nothing of value for it.

  14. Fifteen books that are uncommon and only can be gotten in two places is a bit rough for getting buildings done. I’ve been sending Bonnie and Edison out constantly to their tasks and get 1 book for every 4 completions. I needed that table of horrors if I had hopes of getting the death certificates to complete King Stewie. Too bad. I had really hoped to complete this one.

    • Getting the table that drops death certificates is little help. I’ve had it for two or three days, and still have only 18/25 death certificates with only 24 hours left to go in the event.
