Also worth noting I didn’t get the apology Questline in this game so I think the issue is around Questlines triggering. I’ll update you when I know more.
I also got load old costumes to unlock in Al’s and few old characters to buy, again out of the blue abs I’m not sure if this is linked as well.

I am running ios version 3.4.0 as you describe on an ipad, and am seeing the full questline and the apology bonus.

I’m also running 3.0.4, and have gotten the new questline, as well as repairing Drama Meg, and the apology. Also got a bunch of unrelated old costumes to unlock, and buildings dropping things for those unlock, but that started a couple of hours before the new phase started.
Mixed feelings about the old costumes dropping. On one hand, it’s nice to get the opportunity to get them. OTOH, many characters now have multiple tasks to choose from, in addition to ones for the current questline.

Yeah I’ve narrowed it down to some of us who had issues with duplicate characters I think

I have a bunch of characters with tasks to collect things that have nothing to do with this event. Also random buildings collecting items that have nothing to do with this event. Its not a huge issue just have to be careful to send the characters on tasks for this event, as almost every character who collects for drama meg has other collections available as well.

If you’ve started playing within the last couple of years, the characters are from past events, so other characters and buildings are giving out the items to unlock them.

Yeah but issue is some of us already had them now they’ve reappeared to unlock again, if you didn’t have them it’s all good unless you’ve The duplicate glitch

Yeah, I haven’t had the duplicate glitch that you’re having because I’m still on version 3.3.3. So I’m only seeing characters that I haven’t unlocked previously. That means I have a second chance of unlocking the characters I weren’t able to because I ran out of time. LOL ^_^;;
