I went to check my game this morning and it had reset itself back to the very beginning. This upsets me a lot because I was at Level 40. I followed the instructions to get my game back, but when I selected “Sign in as someone else”, it told me that there was already an account associated with my Facebook ID and that if I logged in, it would reset my account to Level 1. What do I do?

Can somebody tell me how to return the characters to their normal costumes? I’m stuck with the pirate Peter and I want him to be in just his regular outfit and I’m not sure how to get him back to normal! Thanks!

Just tap on the Character themselves as if you are sending them on a task. Once that box opens, slide the skin you see to the left or right and the character skins will change until you stop on the one you want. Let me know if that helps. 😉

I am currently at 7700 blams and have 34 and change left to get to 100,000. Do you think I got another time to get all the way there or do I need to get the blam items?

It is not as simple to calculate in this game what you will or won’t need. The game changes weekly, new Blam! tasks added all the time, new ways of getting Blam! added, etc. So it is hard to give a solid answer. Kingdom showed us they could easily double and triple the payouts over the course of the event.
The only suggestion I can give is if you DO spend Clams on any items, spend them wisely. Buy what will make YOU happy to have in your town and will give you the best payout for that. Sorry, I wish I could offer more than that. I just do not know what is still coming with 5 weeks still left.

yesterday I was playing the game, I was waiting for something to finish and I didnt watch my phone while holding it. then it was finished and I looked at the game again and all of a sudden the house of Quackmire was gone.. it’s not in the inventory.. I cant find it anywhere and I don’t understand. can you help me?

It’s a glitch that TinyCo is aware of. You can hard close your game, turn off your device then start everything up again. If that doesn’t work, uninstall/reinstall the game (make sure you have it linked to an email or Facebook account). Use this post to help you.

Do we need batteries for the zapper next week? I noticed It mentioned something about mutant stewie doing something else next week so I wondered whether batteries will be the thing to collect or whether it changes? I work full time and I’m always running behind on everyone else. This week has been easy to complete the times quest, but if next week it’s still batteries then I’ll save up my batteries for next week and be ahead of the game? Please help!

I started playing Family Guy on my phone Optimus L70 and was able to get up to lvl 6 when the game stopped working. The loading screen wouldn’t even come on. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times and still nothing so I uninstalled it finally. I waited a couple weeks and just now reinstalled and it works but I lost my old Quahog 😞 When I tried to login using facebook it said that I’d have to override my old account. Do I have to override or is there a way I can get my old lvl 6 Quahog back?

You are a lot of help! I loved this game and I was upset I lost everything. Now I have all my stuff back, another question though. Can you add friends using a Google Account? I got my girlfriend into it and I wanted to add her with my Google Account as a friend. Or is that only if you log in with your Facebook account?

Oh thanks, we try our best! You can use your google account to save your game, but the game only uses a Facebook account to add friends. Most here have made a non-information displaying “fake” gamers Facebook account. TinyCo is well aware it is among the top 3 complaints of the game and are working on an alternative. My husband plays Quest for Stuff and he just recently installed the update and since then, the game freezes and runs very very slow. Can anyone tell me how to uninstall the update without uninstalling the entire app?

Once installed, an update IS the game, it can longer be removed. But as long as the game is linked to email or Facebook…you can safely do a complete uninstall/reinstall. Follow the tips in this post to get your game reloaded.

Hello, I was wondering if you can unlock multiple celebrities at the same time during the comic-con event? And can you unlock these characters until the events end or will they disappear earlier? I really want it to know because I am leaving for a holiday and I will not be able to check my game for 11 days (from 10th of August till the 21st of August) 😦

They won’t disappear until the event ends (September 8th). So you’re safe 🙂 And yes you can unlock more than 1 at a time

I just had the zap gun update for me. I have 2 buildings inked already but when i tap on them the zap gun pops up. When i tap the zap button the gun shoots then nothing? There is nothing else to click on so i am left staring at the zap gun. After a bit i restart game and i can do it all Over again? Im repairing the flag pole right now.. Does it need to be repaired before the zap gun works correctly?

No the zapper should work with out repairing the flag pole. If you’re pressing zap and nothing’s happening it’s most likely a glitch with your game. Try hard closing and restarting. If that doesn’t work send an in game message to TinyCo about it. They may have to investigate and see why it won’t work for you

I have 13,721 blam (score total) and no clams but according to the blam calender I should be on about 24,000. Don’t think I’m earning enough a day because I haven’t even earned that toilet prize yet. What do I do I’m having a nervous breakdown (not really but teetering over the edge of madness and sanity)

Hello, just wondering when it will allow me to enter the Downtown district (district 9). I’ve got Stewie & Carter and PB&J Brian and Falconer Peter and I’ve done all the tasks. The only tasks I have down the side bar are related to the Comic-Con event. I completed all the tasks a week ago and have been waiting to get onto district 9, I was just wondering if you had any info about when? Thanks, paige 🙂

It’s locked, so you can’t access it. District 9 won’t unlock until TinyCo releases the update for it. My guess….after Comic Con. (so September)

You earn clams at various points in the game. Character collections earn clams, certain questlines reward clams, you get them from visiting neighbors etc. You can accumulate them fairly quickly that way. Beyond that, the only way is to purchase them 🙂

I’ve been playong family guy for a few months now and i am used to the occassional error message whenever the internet connection is quite slow. But today after i updated the game i got a different error that says “Data Error. There was a problem configuring the game. Pls try again.” I’ve been trying to load it the whole day, and i’ve restarted both the game and my phone about 30x already but it still won’t load 😦 can anyone help me get it going again?

If you have your game backed up (via facebook or email) try hard closing the app, clearing the cache, restarting your device & redownloading the game. See if that helps trigger it to start for you 🙂

Not sure if anyone else is getting this, but I cannot see the new update stuff (comicon) although it has the start up picture. I originally downloaded it from the Galexy store which (for some reason) never updates it and even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled it from Amazon I think it will now not update? Though I’m just guessing =( Any thoughts?

You need to have stared the Mutant Stewie quest line. This will introduce the zapper into the game. And the zapper introduces Batteries into the game. Both new content updates are dependent on the batteries being in your game. 🙂

All I can see for this event is the “characters buildings” in the buy area…and that’s it. This isn’t right/normal is it? Do you have to be at a stage in the game to play the event or has something gone wrong?

Ok, just so we are on the same page…when you said “new update stuff” in your original comment, do you mean you don’t even have the Comic Con area visible? The “Q” building, Convention Center and Clamterprise? Or do you mean you don’t have the Mutant Stewie/Zapper gun update running?

Thanks so far for all the help. I’m still having a problem with funland. I can not find it anywhere. I have contacted tiny Co several times and have not had a response to yet. It’s been a couple of weeks now. I don’t know if it was the update or not that fixed the problem with the assert error and not having Stewie, but now Stewie is behind the Swanson house and the error is gone but I still have no funland. I don’t know how important it will be but any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Started the district. Then I moved funland with Stewie and it disappeared. Then the assert error kept popping up for two weeks till the comic update. That’s when I found Stewie behind the Swanson house and the error message finally was gone. It’s probably been a month ago sense it all started. No luck at all with getting a response from tiny Co.

Hmmmm odd that you have not got it at all. They even upped the chances once you try the task so many times. Have you tried to see if refreshing your game will help? Force close, restart, uninstall/reinstall with a game linked to an email or FB to save progress? Outside that, you may want to contact TinyCo. Let us know how it goes.

Hi, I’ve Been Playing This Game For A Month Now On My IPod Touch And Decided To Download It For My Android Phone (The IPod Only Gets Wifi At The House, Don’t Want To Carry It With Me Every Where Looking For A Connection). Sometimes the server just drops off. Check your wifi connection or you mobile data connection. Sometimes if the signal is weak it won’t connect.

Did you by chance link it to an email or FB? If so, it is just a matter of downloading the app again and signing in. Outside that, TinyCo may be able to offer some help to recover it. Any screenshots of your game ID will help.

I won a battery from a task but my zapper has 17mins left until recharge, if I wait 17minutes for my zapper to recharge will i have two batteries to use……or if I use the battery I have earned will my 17mins reset back to four hours and therefore only give me one use of a battery

The battery only “recharges” the zapper. A recharged zapper doesn’t generate a battery. 🙂

I have Clevelands house in my inventory from the Full Moon Event. However it will not let me place it as it is locked. The message on it is “C’mon you know you want it” similar to most premium items in the shop. I got Cleveland during the event but never finished unlocking him but understand you are able to. Help?!

There’s a few things you can do like how the drunken clam looks (with the office buildings on each side and spooner street). But the rest…with the current amount of space to work with…very hard. Plus all the stuff that appears in a cutaway but has no location indicators. But if you find something, share it. We would all like to see. 😉

What device do you play on? It could be a memory issue with the added content. Older devices are really suffering.

Lol…no, your right. Just covering all bases. Sounds like you have done all the normal troubleshooting steps. I would try it later, just in case it’s a local server connection effecting you. But also send an email to help@tinyco.com and you can also open a ticket at http://www.tinyco.com/support/ tell them the exact error msg you are getting and, of course, the device you are playing on. Let us know how it goes. 😉

Older devices are suffering the memory issue. But there are other issues that seem to be effecting newer android devices too. 😦

Ok so mutant stewie is on 6 buildings already. This also prevents actions happening.
So pretty much unless you pay to get batteries you won’t eventually be able to earn them anyway.
I refuse to buy clams and this event is looking like it’s impossible to complete without buying premium stuff. But if it’s forcing you to buy stuff just to keep playing that’s just out of order.

He will move every 8 hours to a new building. Keep tapping nerds, I’m getting most of my batteries from them. Also, only focus on the needed buildings right now when you do zap mutant Stewie.

I know the plutonium is extra rare, but I was getting decent drops then it just stopped, and now it has been over a week with both toons doing the quest 3 times a day and nothing. very frustrating!. Has the drop rate been changed and is anyone else experiencing the same?. Thanks!

No change in drop rates. Hmmm. You may want to try refreshing your game with a few troubleshooting steps to see if that makes a difference. Like force close, restart, uninstall/reinstall if you are linked to an email or FB to save the game.

There was an octostewie (I’m calling them octostewies because why not) above my Q building and then I got the zap option and the gun zapped my mini mart with an octostewie on it but when I checked my screen the mini mart stewie and the Q building stewie had disappeared but I deffo only zapped once

Stewie does jump from building to building. Are you sure he didn’t just show up on another building?

I just updated my game on my LG G3 and I have used the necessary blam points to fix the clamterprise. It now shows it is done being fixed and has the infamous yellow check mark at the bottom of it yet every time I try to tap on the check mark to make the clamterprise appear and start running as usual it says unfortunately family guy blah blah blah has crashed and makes me re start the app. Has been doing this for a full day plus now. I have already unlocked the other 2 items from the 3 that i need because I wanted the space shuttle present you get if u unlock all three within 3 days and now I have just over a day left or I dont get it and unless this issue gets fixed im screwed. please give me the answer to this, thank you!

I have tried force close, several hundred restart it seems and tried logging out of and back into my account. I thought about uninstalling the app and then re installing it but was afraid I would lose all of my progress

Just make sure you are linked to an email or a FB and it will store your account to that. I have to uninstall and reinstall a few times a day due to swithing between multiple test games. The emails/FB always bring them back.

I’m getting a regular “unable to create viewcontroller” error message. I’ve reinstalled app and device with no joy. I have the app installed on two devices and the same message occurs on both. The error message comes up on loading, making it impossible to get into the game.

I have reported the growing glitch to TinyCo and they are on it as we speak. In talks with them now to find a resolution. Hang in there. In the meantime, do you by chance know your Player ID? I am sending in ones I can for those impacted.

I have had to reset my phone but I can’t seem to get the game that I was playing. When I go to long in using my Facebook account it states that there is an account at such and such a level….do I want to replace it….of course I said no. Any tips on how I can get it back with out starting over ?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app itself. Restart your device between the two. That should help clear the cache and data and allow you to log in using the account profile you have already established. If the option to log in doesnt trigger right away, just take these quick few steps and that should get you back to it. 😉
