  1. I grew up watching The Simpsons so I will always be a fan, but I am definitely a FANatic of Family Guy! Its also going to be great to keep up with everything on this site for the game. I’ve been on TSTO with you guys pretty much the whole time and I look forward to following you here too 🙂

  2. I’ll be playing for sure. While I really enjoy TSTO, there are a lot of episodes I haven’t seen, so some of the minor characters, buildings, etc. don’t mean as much to me as they do to true Simpsons fanatics. With Family Guy, I’m one of the fanatics. I’ve seen most, if not all, of the episodes multiple times and am already eagerly anticipating which story lines and character quirks I think they will bring into the game.

Here’s how excited I am for this game. When I first ran across an article early this month about TinyCo working with Fox on this game, I did two things. First, I investigated TinyCo to see if there was a chance to go work on this game (I’m a former developer who is now a software development manager at a Fortune 100 company). When I realized the game was already in beta, it took a little luster off getting involved in the project so late, but it made me even more excited for the game’s release. So, to get ready for that, I downloaded every TinyCo game in the App Store to get a feel for how the game might be designed and how gameplay might work.

Now that the screen shots have been released, it is clear that Family Guy will be a departure for TinyCo. The images show a Quahog that looks like it has more in common with EA’s Springfield than with the world in Tiny Castle, Tiny Zoo, or any of the other worlds TinyCo has previously developed. Having spent a little time on those games, however, leads me to believe they will use some of the same foundational elements for positioning building, showing animation, and maybe even the game’s economy (a particular interest of mine). If so, this promises to be a very different experience from TSTO.

So, I guess you can say I’m pretty excited about the game, and really glad to hear you’re launching a site to cover it. I’m sure I’ll be a regular reader here and almost certainly a more regular poster than I am at TSTO Addicts. Good luck!

    • Great to hear and we love having you (on both sites)! Look forward to your take on storylines that they introduce into the game!
From what we can tell from people playing the game already it’s very different from tsto in that it’s a bit more complex. Looking forward to finally getting into it and seeing what’s in store! Excited about our new site where we can have a little more unfiltered fun 🙂

  3. I’m looking forward to the game and the site! I must confess, I’m not sure if I should get addicted to another game, TSTO already takes up a lot of time and money. What the hell, you only live once!
