Happy Saturday my friends! And what a Saturday it is!!! The Pyramid’s that have been looming in our towns for a week now have finally opened! So what’s inside?

WARNING Spoilers Ahead!
UPDATE: 3PM EST
There are trending issues that TinyCo is looking into at the moment. First the issue of neighbor visiting causing the game to crash. They are working on it so hang in there.
Next is the issue of the Mummies. Not starting the task or not showing at all. They are asking players to first try the basics of force closing the app or even re-installing the app to see if it clears it up. If not, use your in game Menu, Help & Settings, and contact TinyCo with the issue you are having. I will update if I see anything on my side.
If you can’t access your game, the email is help@tinyco.com. Make sure you include all information you possibly can. Especially your Login you use for the game.

Temple of the Booze Quest: Mummies, after partying in the Pyramid for over 3000 years now want to come and and party in Quohog. (You get 50 extra Moon Idols just by completing the unlock of the pyramid. )
Peter didn’t make friends with them, so now…he wants to kill them. Lol.
You will start out by tapping 20 Party Mummies in your town. You will receive 1 or 2 Moon Idols for each Mummy tapped. (Could be just my game…but I just also got a free clam for tapping on some too. WOOHOO!)
You WILL need Adventure Peter and Cleveland to Unlock the next part of the quest (The Temple of the Booze Part 3).
Temple of the Booze Part 1: (Peter initiates it, so make sure he is free)
Open the Pyramid (Tap the Egyptian symbol above the pyramid to open it). The bricks will tumble down around to show the NEW Pyramid. Mummies will poor out.
Reward of 50 Moon Idols & 65 XP
Temple of the Booze Part 2: (Peter initiates it)
Tap 20 Mummies to defeat them. (Prizes will vary from 1-5 Moon Idols and also the occasion Clam.)
Reward of 50 Moon Idols & 130 XP
Temple of the Booze Part 3: (Peter initiates it)
Intricately Battle Cairo Swordsman (Adventure Peter Needed) 12 hours $100 65XP 40 Moon Idols
Do An 80’s Club Dance w/Peter (Cleveland is needed on Level 5) 8 hours $200 65 XP 80 Moon Idols
Reward of 50 Moon Idols & 195 XP

Family Guy Addicts 
This may be a bit off subject but…when the Pyramid Update first pops up & tells you to update the game, if you don’t immediately hit the “Update & Restart” but instead continue to the game, you’ll notice that all of the new items that would normally cost “Moon Idols” will say “Free,” so buy as many as you think you’ll want & need (I’d recommend to over buy & get as much a possible) because once you update the game & restart, the original “Moon Idol” prices will resume & you can’t go back!…hope it helps!!

Whenever I go to open a quest with Peter about making a thibg that looks like his kid, the game crashes. I click open quest and boom it’s gone.

Just some info, if you are seeing mummies and they are re-spawning it’s a good bet you don’t have the glitch. I had to finish all of Chris’s quests before I got the storyline quest for the mummies, but my pyramid opened and I’ve been killing mummies for two days. This might have already been discussed but I didn’t see it anywhere so thought I’d add it. Hats off to all who run the sight and provide all the assistance to us frustrated gamers. You should get a medal for that, or if you prefer, a clam…..

I have been out of town all day and wasn’t near wifi to play game. Otherwise roaming sat charges would of been applied. Anyway, only opened the game couple hours ago to unlock the pyramid. I am spawning tons of mummies every time I open the game but I never really started any quest. I still need 7 inner tubes and 150 idls to unlock Cleveland. I am assuming since tee mummies are spawning at an awesome rate for me and I am rakkng in the moon idols I am not part of this glitch that is occurring 🙂

You should have still seen a questline though for the Mummy spawning. Did you not get that?

Nope. There was an initial video play of the pyramid cracking open…. But after the video the mummies just started popping out of the pyramid. I never had any dialogue between peter and the mummies.

I haven’t seen a questline yet either but I’ve been smashing mummies all day. I think you have to have the night at the museum quest finished first, which I do not. Peter has been walking like an Egyptian all day

If I stay in the game for hours at a time are the mummies suppose to show up while I’m in or do they accumulate while I’m not playing? Cuz I’ve been staying on sending Peter on his 1 minute task and sending Cleveland on his ten minute task he hasn’t even reach level 4 yet it’s taking a long time

I had the initial wave of mummies, then nothing has come since, there is also no task.
I’ve tried uninstalling and having peter do small tasks yet nothing.

Please contact them via your menu, help & settings. I am in contact with them too but I need more people sending in their data. So please do so. It helps when they can go into the games impacted and see the issue.

No mummies since this morning everything seemed fine but now nun are I force closed the game multiple times as well n the temple of the booze quest never started either Idk if it’s cuz I’m still trying to level Cleveland to level 5 cuz that’s the only quest I haven’t done but I’m sure I’m not far behind but still got the mummy problem

Ugh. Every time I go to open the game, it force closes before the splash screen gets done loading. The music starts, but the game does not. I’ve tried uninstalling/re-installing to no avail. I really want to play this event and get some new content, but this glitch plus the overabundance of premium items is making this event feel more and more like Easter in Springfield. Yuck.

So my pyramid unlocked and I’ve cleared the mummies but the quest for “temple of the booze pt 1” never came up. Is it maybe because I don’t have Cleveland unlocked yet??

No, you do not need Cleveland to start the game. If reset does not help, contact TinyCo through your game menu, help & settings.

Mine popped up randomly part 1 & 2 one immediately after the other with the check mark next to it because I unknowingly completed the task, try doing the same…completing the task anyways then just give it a minute & see if it pops up & if that doesn’t work contact “TinyCo” & they will fix it rather quickly I hear.

Help! I can’t get onto my game! I am playing on an iPhone and had no problems till today. Whenever I click onto my app, the loading screen starts and then it kicks me off! I tried deleting the app then when I re downloaded it, it started me off 2 levels behind. I changed it over to my current level and as soon as I did the app crashed again! Any ideas?

What iPhone and iOS do you have? iPad did that also for this entire update.
This helped with the iPhone when it first did that. A hard reset, some may not know what that is. It’s when you hold the power button and the circle button at the same time till it shuts off. Also you may want to close all apps running.

The mummies appeared in my town and I tapped them all but there was no quest and nothing happened after I tapped them all. It might be because I haven’t got Cleveland yet.

You need to wait for the other characters to unlock and become available in the game. Hang in there…they will come soon enough

I havent even had the quest. The quest never came. And it is the only quest i need. All other tasks are done except the moon idol trophy quest. I opened the game and the video of the pyramid cracking automatically played. Then the mummies spawned. But now i still have no quest for the mummies???

Sorry for the delay. They magically restored my town and kept on urging me to make a login which I quickly did. I now remember that the game asked me once but I forgot to do it. 🙂 And thanks for giving me that idea I was really freaking out. One thing I sometimes get VERY clumsy.

Yeah. Same problem here. While the pyramid was opening it froze and it’s open but no mummies appeared. The challenge to tap 20 mummies is there. Kinda sucks when I have adventurer Peter and just unlocked Cleveland. Would be cool to make some progress . Lol. Hopefully they fix this soon because in the meantime were falling behind those of us who got bit by the update bug. Shenanigans I say. Boooooooourns.

I haven’t had the pleasure of seeing any of this awesomeness. My game keeps crashing during loading . Also I haven’t even been able unlock Cleveland yet due to the fact that I can’t get ANY of the friggin hot tubs.

Hey I seem to be having the same problem as others too. When I started the game, the pyramid intro and release of mummies happened automatically. When I didn’t see any prompts for a new quest, I went ahead and tapped all the mummies assuming that’s what I was supposed to do.
Now I come here and see that Peter was supposed to initiate the task. What do I do? I’ve cleared all the mummies and no quest line has started. All my characters are free too and I’ve unlocked both adventure Peter and Cleveland as well.
I’ve even tried triggering the quest by sending Peter on some 1 min tasks but nothing! I hope this can be fixed…

So I contacted them through the app as shown on that page but right after pressing send, the screen went black and nothing loaded. Then my phone told me that “Family Guy isn’t responding. Do you want to close it?” so I had to force close it.
Happens every time I try to send a message through the app so I have no idea if they’re even getting my message or not.

Hey larsyuipo, I know exactly what you’re talking about and think I know the issue. It did it to me a time or two before I caught on but some neighbors seem to have not gone through the opening of the pyramid and its intro video yet. When you go to collect from them you’ll notice the light beam coming from the pyramid and it start to crumble, If you are quick enough to tap and collect the game will not crash if not though it will. I’m sure they will get it taken care of at Tinyco as people report it but this is a way around it for now

Help! My game disappeared! It has restarted with the intro animation. I had just cleared all the mummies and closed it, and when i came back to it, gone ! What do I do now?

If your town starts back to beginning…the best way to retrieve it is to allow the game to play really quick to the point the menu unlocks (Chris holding antennae for Peter). Once it gets to that point, you can go to the menu and log back in to your game. Just make sure it saves the CORRECT level of the game.

I’ve started the game and the intro of the pyramid opening started and i cleared all the mummies, then nothing! every character is free (including adventure peter and Cleveland) just a little confused after seeing the walkthrough posted here..! help!

Yah. Once you tap that symbol. The pyramid breaks apart with the new one underneath. Then peter sees all the mummies come out and the dialog starts.

The symbol never appeared for me or my partner it just initiated the animation as soon as the game opened lol I’ve had to buy consuela just for something to do!!

Is there a specific part of the quest you need to reach in order to tap the mummies? I have my seen any yet? My screen froze as the pyramid was opening up. Btw I just unlocked adventurer peter and I have not unlocked Cleveland yet. Does that make a difference?

It should not matter if Cleveland is still waiting to be unlocked. Peter should be able to open it and release the Mummies. Please do me a favor and send me your ID you use to log into the game so I can forward this to TinyCo.

In the meantime, see if some basic troubleshooting will kick it off. Things like completing other tasks (try to see if you have one in your task bar for an hour or less).

I ran into this myself. I had to restart my device and clear a task or two off my task bar in order for it to trigger. You might also wanna try sending Peter on a couple of 1 min tasks to see if that will trigger it too. 😉

In the bottom left hand corner of your screen is a lot of icons for various areas of your game. The very first icon looks like a clipboard with papers attached to it. If you tap on that, it pushes up a list of the tasks you still need to complete in the game. See if there are any there you still need to finish. If you have a small one (like an hour or less) try to complete it to see if that helps to trigger the new questline.

Keep tapping. You have to get more and more as the quest progresses, so might as well get them and the extra Booty (clams here n there) while you wait to unlock cleveland. 😉

Right when the pyramid was able to open and the video started, my screen froze. I made the mistake of force-closing and starting up again and now I have a quest to tap 20 or so mummies but I don’t have any wandering around. It worked fine on my boyfriends game I just did but on mine, after freezing and force-closing, I don’t have any mummies. 😦 I’m hoping they’ll spawn sporadically etc, but it sucks I lost out on a bunch at a time. I tried restarting a couple times but it is still at the same spot.. Just thought I should mention so people know its happening with me, too. 🙂

If you have an account linked with your game, you may try to uninstall/reinstall…otherwise…I would alert TinyCo right away on the matter.

Thanks for the info, Bunny. You guys rock. TinyCo – not so much. If they are going to be running weekend events, perhaps increasing weekend staffing levels might be a good plan. I’ll follow what’s happening through addicts, cuz I’ve got #nothingbutconsuelascreen. Back to tsto event, which is actually Fun.

So the Pyramid opening is pretty cool. Nice to get a new element to the game. But what scares me is the 50,000 needed for the latest prize, which isn’t even the top prize. I can only assume the top prize will be around 75,000 plus moon idols. This is absolutely crazy. I have bought every single premium item so far, and mostly send people on 1 hour tasks, yet this all just feels impossible. The only way it feels possible is if I buy another of the 400 clam shrine, but if that’s the case it’s absolutely disgusting.
I was so optimistic when this game first came out. TSTO easter event left me feeling disillusioned. It was amazing the way tinyco spoke to blogs and customers etc. Decided to be a completionist on family guy, since I didnt like missing out on items in Springfield. I dont mind paying some money but family guy is really starting to feel extortionist. When you compare this event to the stonecutter’s one, tinyco have really messed up here. Tinyco had a great opportunity to take a large proportion of tapped out. But these early events and even character unlocking should have been more “easy” to hook customers in.
I still really enjoy the game, but if circus peter and this event is anything to go by, well, I think the honeymoon period is over.

Sadly…my normal math logistics are useless in this event. TinyCo is very quiet on when they make changes and what is coming…so I am unable to create calendars to have a goal target each day.

See what you can do before the event gets to 7-10 days left. With the double big butts, you’ll be getting more butts all the time. Games are like life, being patient sometimes is the best option. Maybe they will up the butts or something to help.

Kind of weird spawning. Had two running around randomly after, I lost connection and came back. About 46 in a hour. Don’t know how they got random 46.

I agree that it seems unlikely free players will win all the prizes. Some quick math reveals that you have to earn about 2000 idols per day. Does not seem feasible, unless you play constantly.

I’m still 14 giraffe inner tubes shy of Cleveland. I only have 11/25 giraffe inner tubes 😦 Still got a ways to go before I unlock Cleveland.
In the meanwhile, they’ve unlocked quite a few more Moon Idol trophy milestone prizes. But with the TSTO Stonecutters event, I’ve barely given any time to FGTQFS, so doubt I’ll get those.

One of the mummies gave me 5 moon idols and another gave me a clam.

Temple of booze pt 4. Is tap 75 mummies to defeat them. On my side 36 mummies roamed till no more we’re around. So this one will take a bit to complete. Press the go button when your having trouble finding a few, be prepared to click right away when they take you to them. Good luck y’all

My experience was slightly different. After tapping on mummies I got either 1 or 2 idols once they disappeared. Upon clearing the final one, I got 5 from that tap.
