Another Friday night is upon us…another late night (here on the East Coast anyway) update to TQFS. So what’s new this time? Let’s take a closer look…..
SPOILER ALERT…it has to do with BUTTS!
As we talked about earlier today 3 new “buildings” were added to the game to help you unlock 80’s Cleveland Faster. 
However, it was also JUST released that if you purchase ALL three you’ll get 100 clams back. A small quest will popup with Cleveland showing if you buy all 3 you’ll get 100 clams back. So instead of this costing you 375 clams, it’ll only cost 275…
Next up…the 2nd to last prize was announced. At 70,000 Moon Idols you’ll unlock the Not-So-Angry Gorilla:
The Gorilla won’t do much, outside of sit in your Quahog and not be so angry:
And now for the king of all kings….the Royal KING BUTT!
A mysterious little popup appears in the game now…more or less to encourage you to continue to keep playing and collecting those butts:
That’s it for this Friday night update. Will they have anything more in store for us? More will be coming before the event ends..but what exactly…remains to be seen. With 10 days left anything can happen. For now keep grabbing that booty!

Finished every quest available. Almost finished all achievements, they should open the other characters and do item collecting quests, or make some boss stage where you must defeat the chicken…

I am within about 5000 butts of the Party Pyramid. If I push it I might be able to get the Swordsmsan. As long I get the Pyramid and 80s Cleveland, I’ll be fine. I have spent money, but did so of my own choosing, not from pressure. At the end of the day, whether I get all the prizes or not, life goes on.

I hope at the end theres a way to convert moon idols into coins. I already have multiple of every moon idol item with 200k moon idols to spare, ill probably have 300k by the end of the event with nothing to buy

It’s difficult with this event. We’re trying to come up with something, but things keep changing for this event it makes things difficult to say you should be here at this point.

Omg yes just got the epic shrine. Wasn’t going to buy another sarcophagi but fell to peer pressure when my mates were all getting them.

Everyone is thinking it… So here I go… So we have a bronze Peter the step dad of awards, then a silver Peter the trophy that says your better than most, expect the people with gold. Yes, Looks like they didnt think out this event.. To busy thinking of ways to make people pay… But didn’t figure out if people enjoy the game, paying customers happen…
So many are waving all the characters good bye, well besides Stewie… Because he doesn’t exist yet…

Plus, they missed a great “humorous” opportunity! Peter could have been getting drunker with each statue. The gold statue could of been him…”passed-out”..laying over the podium base…lol

I only got one large magma shrine & 3 of the 4 premium characters (have not opened a single sarcophagi) & am on track to earn about 130,000 butts by events end. Subtract off the 35,000 from the magma shrine & that means even freemium players playing efficiently should be able to earn 90,000 or so. I get kind of tired listening to people whine about freemium players not getting enough perks. It is entirely possible to do well in this event if you play smart.

I’m not sure what people are expecting from a “free” game. Every game just like this has items that are locked behind a pay window. In this game, they help, but aren’t required unless you just have to have everything. If you’re playing the game more frequently than the content updates, of course you’re going to accumulate coins. I am in the same position, but that just means that when the next neighborhood opens, I’ll be ready for it.
For the record, I have spent zero dollars to buy clams. I am about 4k butts away from the Party Camel, and I figure I might be able to unlock the pyramid before the event is over, and that’s fine with me. I’m getting what I paid for and more. I would change the drop rate vs task time ratios, but other than that, I’ve been pretty happy with this time waster of a game. It makes me laugh, and that’s what a FG game should be about.

My biggest complaint is that it feels like, with all of these updates to butt drop rates, that they never really thought the event through very well at all. We’re all beta testing the event, and it feels like they’re constantly changing the rules on us… First we get lots of mummies, then a slow trickle. Then we get premium characters giving us butts…
Probably what stings the most is that for literally two weeks, I could not play the game at all during the event, because of crashes at the start screen. So even if we were supposed to be able to be on a decent time line for getting lots of the rewards without clams, there is no way I’ll get many of them, with NO APOLOGY reward from tinyco. For example when hay day goes down for just normal maintenance and they’re down for more than 20 minutes they give everyone free premium currency as a sorry and thanks for your patience. FGTQFS gives you more stuff to do, and reminds you that you will never get all of it because of their mistakes in coding and updating. They could at least extend the event.

I have to say that I agree with other players who also don’t spend any real money on the game and feel they’ve gotten more than what they paid for. I enjoy the game immensely and have inward opinions about the currencies and in-game metrics… But as to beta testing, I agree with that sometimes, too. I’ve brought one or two typos to Tiny Co’s attention, and it seems now I’ve reached a stage where Peter and **80’s** Cleveland are NOT “80’s Clubdancing”, but are rather “placeholder”.
I code a lot at work, and releases like that are more critical in my job than a game release, but seeing “placeholder” does detract from the gaming experience and make you feel like you’re just a tester. In fact, sometimes it makes you feel like you’re part of the feedback team but no one is listening. Someone else made a suggestion that they provide rewards. That’s not a bad idea. People who find Easter eggs, glitches, or can prove problems that provide insight for Tiny Co to be able to improve their product should receive a small token for providing them feedback. Feedback in itself is a gift. Tiny Co should reward that.

Disappointed that they want us to spend more and more money just to play a game, they need to address this problem because they could easily end up losing players for being greedy, the game I love it but I am refusing to spend any more money on it. For the type of game it is I bet people have spent more money on this than a leading console game

I’ve just this minute unlocked the pyramid. I play as much as work allows and a fair bit at weekends. I’d say I’m on there about 8/9 times a day and I’m not spending clams, as a result I might just scrape the next prize but it’s unlikely.
It’s starting to annoy me that all new content is clam based. I have a healthy cash balance, every character (apart from buzz and consuela) is unlocked, all the costumes, all the land, I’ve been playing since day one and the reward is that I have nothing to spend the money on but if I’d like to spend real money I can continue to get new stuff in my town? It’s turning into a not so subtle cash grabbing exercise and its really putting me off. All my Facebook friends have long since given up and I might be about to join them, unfortunately.

Got all the shoes, ten pleathers, six sheens, then they offer the three buildings and nothing has dropped since. Coincidence? Doubtful. Sheens were infrequent anyway but jackets were dropping regularly.

Just wish there was a money- butts exchange rate. I have 170,000 now and I have built every building in the game as much as I need. I don’t want to buy the stewie statue just as a status symbol and would like to spend my money on limited time items.
To be clear I am talking about in game coinage. Other than consuela I have every character in the game ( really disappointed by tricia because it took months to unlock her and her longest action is 8hours) and unless each building is 50k each in the next update (predicting 3 or 4) then I’ll still only need/ have 20k left over. Not a lot to do and I’m only still playing daily to marvel at my efforts.

I don’t know if this is new or not, but I’ve been getting butts when I visit my neighbors. 4 per tap. Not a bad way to get some extra butts since mummies have dropped off

I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to unlock King Butt since I’m only at 18,551 idols. I didn’t care too much about any of the other prizes but a new character would be cool. Too bad the regular buildings don’t drop idols.

I was getting tons of mummies but then last night I was forced to update before I could play. Now it seems like I’m back to the old spawn rate. Anyone else had this happen?

It’s safe to say I won’t be getting any more prizes after the party pyramid. I only have 32000 butts. Never gonna reach all prizes. Very disappointed with this event oy way to get all prizes is to spend real money

My chances of getting the “butts”? Slim to none… daily if not hourly player and i only have 26,000. Not quite sure what im doing wrong… either way free stuff is free stuff, i get what i get!

You know, I think I’m about done w Fgtqfs. I’ve played since launch day, bought clams several times. My town is lvl 40, I’ve sent characters on the same damn task for Weeks trying to get widgets to unlock things. Most people play a game because it’s fun. TinyCo’s constant, in-your-face attempts to get us to buy premium content is insulting. This game isn’t even 3 months old. I’m bored, and frustrated with it. Sorry for the rant, but I wonder how many others feel this way.

It is good to see that I’m not the only one in that boat. Actually, that boat is rapidly starting to fill up like The Titanic, except Tiny Co is the one that’s going to sink. Have you folks at familyguyaddicts.com addressed the growing amount of concern with Tiny Co?

I’m starting to feel the exact same way. I started at the same time, I’ve been playing regularly since then, and I’m running out of reasons to carry on.
There are two things that are really, really frustrating – the first is what seems to be a constant hint that we buy clams. The sheer number of buildings we’ve seen as well as decorations is crazy – the buildings will at least provide some rent, but the decorations seem to have no point other than to show other people that you’ve got too much money.
The second is collecting objects. Want to unlock a character? Just send someone on an 8 hour task, and there’s a 5% chance you’ll get what you need! And don’t worry – you’ll need four of them. I’d love if they either scrapped this, or adapted it; they could make it so that tasks always dropped the item, but they could require more for unlocking. (Those four headbands, at odds of 5%? How about if you always got one, but needed 80? It would take about as long, but you’d be able to see actual progress)
And don’t get me started on how I’m supposed to get another 60,000 idols in the next ten days….

You’re totally right there sharkki, I’ve been playing since almost the start and had progressed quite far before the event and was enjoying the challenge. Over the past three weeks I’ve amassed a large stockpile of (now seemingly useless) coins due to not having anything to spend them on, unlocked all the land and got to level 40. Once this event is over what’s left? I’m beginning to wonder what the point of this game is?

I personally think that TinyCo is making very wrong moves.
You can only get everything by spending a ridiculous amount of money.
I won’t get the king,not close,because even with daily and dilligent tapping,I’m at twenty something thousand butts.

Since tonight’s update, there are absolutely no mummies spawning from the pyramid now. SIGH

Also got generic reply from tinyco to reinstall app to hopefully fix crashing issues on android.

It’s a pretty cool update but what is up with the mummy spawning rate? Before the update 2-4 mummies would spawn every minute you were on the game and now I’m not sure how often they spawn, any idea?

They’re all over the place, daily! It seems TC’s still trying to find the right blend, so they fluctuate constantly.

If you do the math, and read/calculate the total rewards for accruing butts; the last question mark says (above it) ORIGINAL CHARACTER and he will cost approximately 95,000 to 100,000 to earn. So far I have opened the Stevie Sarcophagi 3 times and I have won 1600 three times. A fail in my eyes. I don’t might spending a little money on clams but I am $100 in since April. For a game I find rather ridiculous to spend so much. Any suggestions how to earn 75,000 butts in 10 days so I can get this character? I been doing the math and the only way is to buy more clams and hope to earn more from that sarcophagi.

For some reason all my female mummies cause the game to crash and it was becoming really annoying, until I figured out how to use it to my advantage. Every time a character finished a task and did not receive their droppable item, I quickly tapped a female mummy to crash the game and cause it to revert to the previous save point. I simply kept opening and closing the game until the item was dropped, collected it, minimized properly and continued on with my next character.
Using this method I unlocked 80’s Cleveland in two days and got my last two eyeballs in twelve hours, which was awesome because I literally only got one in a month, it was quite frustrating. I just wish I had thought of this before spending eighty clams to unlock normal Cleveland. I thought about letting Tinyco know about it and try to fix it, but no, eff that now lol.
Big shouts out to Bunny and Alissa, you two are friggen awesome, the absolute best.
