Hello There Clammers!
Looks like another late night update has hit our devices….this time we must defeat King Butt!
Peter will kick off a quest where you must build the Really Fancy Throne. It costs 300 Moon Idols and takes 12hrs to build. Once built you’ll start the defeat King Butt tasks.
I will cover the next part of this in great detail tomorrow, but for now…YES building the Throne takes 12hrs…BUT DO NOT RUSH IT! Don’t waste your clams on it! The first step to defeat King Butt is only 3 items and you should be able to accumulate them quickly. So don’t rush it. Build the throne and start fresh in the morning, don’t spend your clams just yet!
HELPFUL HINT: Start sending Peter, Quagmire & Cleveland each on their 4hr task to start earning the “Stuff” you need before the Throne is built. This will help you get ahead!

After you tap on Peter he’ll initiate the King Butt quest here’s what you’ll see:
Again I’ll break down the details of the shots, defeating King Butt and what you can do in great detail in the morning. For now stare building your Thrones and get ready for Shot, shot, shots! EVERYBODY!

How many idols do I need to unlock King butt? I feel like I saw a dialogue box that gives the answer but I don’t remember. I have 128,000 butts and I thought I would have King Butt by now. But it just keeps putting me on 24hr missions to get 40 Jell-O shots. Will it just continue to do this until the end of the month?

had no problems building the throne or collecting shots, my problem is that every time i try to defeat him the game crashes, any ideas? or am i going to completely miss out 😦

😦 Try hard closing, restart your device and then restart the game. Sometimes that helps clear any issues. If not next best bet is to contact TinyCo

What happens if I don’t get enough shots on the pot 3 (collect 8) within the 24hrs does it restart or am I out of luck

I’ve done the math and to finish in time, I need at least 3,000 idols per day to finish. So not going to happen, I would need to play all day and night 😦

IF you get enough shots that’s 7,500/day on the streak. This would actually be a good way for you to finish out the event! 🙂

Hmmm… I know I purchased and placed my throne (I think there was a 12 hr. counter) but I can’t find it. When I click on the quest on my task bar, it brings me to an area of my Quaghog but I can’t find the throne or a check mark to click. Do you have any suggestions? My city is kinda cluttered but I have moved around all the buildings in that area and no luck finding it.

I was so stupid. I sped up the throne. I have some advice that I wish I knew before. When you finish the throne it opens the task. You then get 24 hrs to defeat King Butt the 1st time. You need 3 lots of jello that are all the same colour. I think the colour might be random. I had all 3 lots so I defeated him straight away. Then the 2nd task needs 8 lots of jello all the same colour. My advice – even if you have the 3 jello’s, don’t defeat him straight away. You have 24hrs and I would wait so you can build up your jello’s from the 3 characters. Otherwise, when you start the 2nd task you only have 24hrs to get 8 of the right colour. As the characters drop random colours, you may find it very hard to get 8 in less than 24hrs. If you wait to defeat King Butt the first time, essentially you will have almost twice as long to get the 8 you need. I have 21hrs left to get another 7 purple jello’s. I only got 1 from the 3 characters as the others were blue & red, which I don’t need at the moment. If you manage to do the tasks within the time everytime, you can win 7,500 idols. If you don’t, you will only win 150 idols. Hope this helps as I can see a lot of people panicking and using clams to speed up the 3 tasks (which are all 4hrs long). Enjoy everyone!

I see that a character will be unlocked as the last thing in the pyramid but I don’t think I’ll get enough trophies to unlock that character and can’t see a way to gain a ton of butts…

I have a question and am in need of some advice. I sent my working on clearing ground (1d16h) After i did that i got the mention for building the throne. Holy butts what a bad luck.
Can i cancel the cleaning the land. If no what is your advice to do? I can just wait but that means i have to wait 1d16h before building the throne and that takes also 12h or buy an extra worker (I have 49 clams so i will have to wait till tomorrow to get an extra clam for visiting neighbours) What would you do?

You can’t cancel it. My advice is either wait the time and build up A LOT of shots in the mean time. Or get the extra worker. The extra worker is always nice BUT honestly if you build up the shots you should breeze through it and you won’t spend clams. So just keep sending Peter, Quagmire & Cleveland on their 4 hr tasks and bring in those shots! 🙂

Why couldn’t they just make him 100,000 trophy idols?… I can almost guarantee the money-grab clam items to “Unlock Him Faster” will hit our shelves in the next day or two.

There’s no unlock. You just earn idols to unlock him. This will help you get them faster, it’s actually fun IMO. Post on the details will be up in a few hrs 🙂

So IDK if anyone noticed, but I’ll be a nice guy and put it out there for everyone in case it’s a future task, people can get a head-start, but when giving “Peter” a task now, his “Tickle His Nose w/Rifle” and “Walk Like Egyptian” tasks are showing where they may generate multiple items. I’m wondering if these aren’t items you need to collect to defeat King Butt??? If anyone spent the clams and wants to be a nice guy/gal, maybe post us a teaser or spoiler of whats to come after the throne,, PLEASE, DO IT!. Am I right that Peter needs to collect items or is this something totally different? I saw something about blue shots down below? Come on I know there is someone with ZERO patience, so please post the info if u got it before tomorrow morning. HELP A *FELLADDICT* OUT! Thanks! X>P

Sounds interesting! I should have my first item in about 10 minutes from Peter. I didn’t realize Glenn and Cleveland got you items too, until after I read your post and had already put them in 1 hour activities. I had them in costumes or I would have noticed the activity on top HA, so they’re about an hour behind Peter, but sounds like were collecting shots or something? Yes, no, maybe? Haha, jk. But from your descriptions and the hints I’ve gathered from others comments, I’m guessing we’re going to have to #outparty/#outdrink King Butt, by way-of making him #vomit??? (This hypothesis was formed off the words of your hint: “…an experience (or two) I had after doing an entire tray of Jello shots!”) ;>P

I already posted about this. See my previous comment (though it is currently waiting moderation from admin). Just keep sending Peter, Quag & Cleveland on the 4hr tasks to get jello. There are 3 colours and the colour u get is random. U need 3 of 1 colour to defeat once, then 8 of another colour the 2nd time. U get 24hrs to defeat him each time. I would wait until the last half hour to defeat him the 1st time otherwise you will only have 24hrs to get 8 of the same colour, which may well be hard to do. If you delay defeating him the 1st time u will have nearly twice as long to get the 8 you need and you are more likely to do it. You can get 3 jello’s (random colours) every 4 hrs. If u defeat him everytime you can earn 7,500 idols instead of 150. I don’t know what task 3 will be as I’m still on task 2. I have 7 purple jello’s still to get as I keep getting blue and red. It’s fun, but difficult. Once u defeat him he will leave town for about a minute, then the timer resets and gives u 24hrs to do the next task. Hope this helps.

Is it 24 hours from once you finish building the throne or starting now? I’m unlocking some land and then with th 12 hour build it will be past 24 hours for sure. Did I miss out?

I’m in almost the same boat. Since the event became a bit monotonous, I started clearing land. Mine current piece won’t be finished for another 16 hours, then I need to start the build. It will be Thursday am before it is finished.

Not sure which items are needed for this new task, but it looks like you can start collecting them while the throne is still being built. Currently have Peter & Quagmire out on tasks that drop “multiple” items. Curious to see if they actually drop before the throne is complete!

I finally did the buy $5 of coins get $5 in clams, so I’m not worrie about that. Though I did pretty much use all 130 clams and not get a single blue shot D: lol

You’ll be fine. I made the same mistake but am now on task 3. I have all the Jell-O shots I need to defeat him but I still have 10hrs until the timer runs out so I’m waiting until nearer the end. I think I had to get 25 or 30 shots for the third defeat and I know I will probably have another 1 to do, which will obviously need more than the current task, so I’m just building up the collection of jello so I can get that 50x multiplier. I’m 1 away from that!

Same problem…can’t find it now to buy after it turned off the first time. I tried getting rid of it from my open apps and reloading it and still nothing!! So frustrating

You have to update to get the throne but the quest still starts even if you haven’t updated (21.june update), but as you buy the throne the game just crashes immediately. I updated and a cluster of mummies spawned all at once but now I have the slow spawn of mummies as well! I updated because I wanted King Butt but I also want the consistent spawning of mummies… Oh well, you can’t have both I guess.

I had the same problem about the throne closing my game, I had to update to the latest version for it to work normally, thus losing my 2 guy per minute spawn rate D:

I received this task, but when I selected the throne in the store it closed the game….this happened twice. On my third attempt the mission is still on my list, but the throne is no longer in my store. I have checked my town and my inventory, but it is nowhere to be found.

The quest for the shots take 4 hours. So far I’ve found the characters Peter, Clevland, and Quagmire drop shots. These characters do not: Lois, Joe, Brian, Bonnie, Brian, Tricia, Jerome, Chris, Lord Buzzkillington, and Conseula. I have not identified a single building that drops shots. I suspect they are the vendor booths for this event but I cannot confirm that information. Anyone else have ideas?

first quest glitched out on me, first time i clicked peter for the quest and as soon as i click on the throne my game crashes, a second time i click on peter, now i wait a little longer with buying the throne, once i try it crashes again, and now the quest is there but i can’t buy the throne, it’s not there

When I go to the Pyramid I only have the “home”, “trophy” and “star” icons is this the same for everyone?
also I’m confused about the quest.
Because I started building the throne for party in the back part1 but I also got party in the back part2 at the same time but it only says defeat king butt before the timer expires, but I don’t see any timers and when i click on the “Go” on the quest it takes me no where. I did send Peter to do the walk like an Egyptian action which gives me shots, but I’m still confused at the overall objective.

This sucks. By the time I complete the throne, it will be 10:30 am. I will be at work and unable to do anything until I get home. >__> Not happy knowing you only have 24 hours to do the first tasks.

Interesting. BTW, is anyone else missing two of the tabs when they visit the pyramid now? For example, the journal seems to be missing on mine now… Strangeness.

Finally! The end is in sight. I’m so looking forward to getting my Quahog back to normal. It sure would have been nice if they had just given us the land around the big pyramid for room for all of this event crap.
