Hello There Clammers!
Some signs of life in Quahog once again…as King Butt as made his grand entrance! Time time it looks like TinyCo took a page right out of my college days after one too many Jelly-yo shots in Key West!
Let’s break down the new fun shall we?! #warningitslong #donteverdoatrayofredjelloshots
So after you’ve build King Butt’s Fancy Throne…so you can me him pray to the porcelain God…it’s time to defeat King Butt! The Throne is what makes him appear in Quahog.
Here’s how you defeat this party animal….get him drunk off his royal keister!
Basically you earn “STUFF” to defeat him…except in this case the “STUFF” is Jelly-yo Shots! Here’s how you earn those:
Basically complete tasks for various characters to have the shots drop. THREE characters have tasks that will earn shots (if you found more let me know): Peter (Adventure Peter too), Quagmire & Cleveland. Each of their four hour tasks is guaranteed to drop a shot. Which is AWESOME! However….you don’t know what color you’ll get, but we’ll get to that in a minute. The cool thing is you can start the tasks BEFORE the Throne is complete. So even if you’re still waiting for it, get Peter, Quagmire & Cleveland doing those 4hr tasks to earn you some shots!
You’ll also notice that it says you can get them from buildings. As of writing this they are not currently in the game. HOWEVER, TinyCo will most likely (as we’ve seen in the past) be adding buildings (stalls & shacks) that will drop various color Shots each time. So keep that in mind going forward…also keep in mind they’ll most likely be premium.
So now let’s get to the various shot colors. There are three total shot colors…
The characters will each drop ALL THREE colors, just at various times. So you’ll always get a shot…but you won’t always know what shot you’ll get.
Ok so now that you have the what and how part down…let’s talk game play. You will be tasked each day with getting a certain number of Jelly-yo shots to defeat King Butt. You’ll have 24 hours to complete each task.
It will take two tasks to defeat King Butt. After that you’ll just earn bonus idols each time. The point is to keep going and collect everything in order before time runs out. The longer you keep the streak going the more idols you’ll earn (This will help you unlock the rest of the items!) .
Here’s the good news….if you get a different color shot than what you need it will be saved into the shot bank and can be used for a different task. In other words…if you need 3 blue shots and get purple and red on the way to getting the blue, the purple and red shots will stay in your materials bank and count towards the next task.
Here’s how the tasks broke out for me in my game. In order:
3 Blue Shots (1st one after unlocking the throne)
8 Red Shots
14 Blue Shots (as you can see here it was done for me since I had 17 built up from the previous attempts)
25 Blue shots
40 Purple shots
Now remember…this is how they appeared in MY game. They may (and more than likely do) vary from game to game. So don’t assume this is what you’ll get.
Each time you complete a task King Butt will pray to the porcelain God and be back in your Quahog about a minute (or just under) later:
When he reappears you’ll get a new assignment of Shots to acquire to send him away again and unlock more idols! The good news is…each time you send him away your 24hr clock will reset. So you have 24 hours to complete each shot task!
The point of this all is to keep a streak going, and collect all of the requested shots within the 24 hr period. If you do you’ll continue to earn idols at the highest level. But if you don’t the counter will reset and you’ll have to start the streak all over again! (note: tasks will still come up even if your bar is full. You want it full, as that’s how you’ll earn more idols!)
Now as far as the questline goes. It’s a short 3 part questline that involves building the throne and defeating King Butt. Once you’ve defeated him (on the second shot collection) you’ll see this pop up:
As you can see King Butt will be the final prize of the event, and will cost a whopping 100,000 moon Idols. So collect ALL you can from the shot collection!
So to sum it all up:
-Quagmire, Cleveland & Peter (Adventure Peter too) ALL have a 4hr task that will earn you Jelly-yo shots
-Jelly-yo shots come in three different colors. They’re guaranteed to drop, but the color will vary.
-Use the shots to defeat King Butt. Collect what he requests and you’ll earn more idols!
-TinyCo will more than likely be releasing buildings that will drop shots (these will guarantee the color)
-You have 24hrs to complete each shot collection task. The clock WILL reset after you complete each one.
-Shots will bank for you if a color drops that you don’t need. It can be used for a future Shot request.
-King Butt is the final prize & will cost 100,000 Idols.
-Be careful how many Jelly-yo shots you do. They may taste good going down..but yea.

I’m a freemium player and refuse to wake up every four hours to play. Couldn’t even get to step two with king butt. Not even close to 100k idols. I guess I’ll just have to basically ignore events when they arrive.

Looks like the shot items are here. They are not stalls, but coffins you can gamble with. That sucks.

Nope they roll over. Only the ones required to defeat him will disappear (basically because you’re giving them to him)

Meh meh and more meh. Due to the nature of this event I have bought nothing. General tapping has got me to 28k idols. With 6 days to go they add this? Looking at your chart hitting max is almost impossible without clams in some way. 4 shots per person will net you a potential 8 of a single colour. 40 of one for a 24 hour period? Unlikely. Please note I am assuming people sleep without getting up to do this. Still hard even with that

Don’t defeat him as soon as u get the shots needed. Wait until the last possible moment and that will build up your shots. I’ve been doing this after stupidly defeating him the minute the throne appeared and I’m
Now on the 25 shots task. I have more than that, but know I need 40 of the next colour so won’t defeat him until 10mins b4 timer runs out. At the moment I have built up 42 red, 29 blue and 45 purple, but the current task will take 25 of my purple. When the timer has 10mins left (in 10 hours) I will defeat him for the 4th time but will have 24hrs to get 40. By then I will have another 6 shots and 1.5hrs to go to get 3 more. It can’t be done unless u build up your shots and y start the timer again when u could have given yourself more time. Hope this helps. Not happy about the sarcophagus cost, esp as the most u can get is 24, but you could also only get 8! This game is getting more expensive IMO. I’ve spent way too much already. A game normally costs £25, but so far since April I have spent that many times over! I do love the game though, but having impossible timers is unfair to premium and freemium players!

How do you mean gambling?
They seem to be clearly labeled as to the color of shot they produce, and if the splash page description can be believed they give you enough clams to defeat Butt one time. Expensive, but seems pretty cut and dried. Obviously these are only for completists that just absolutely have to have king butt kicking around their Quahog.

20 hours in and even task 1 is a fail. 3 purple needed and I still have none. 120 clams each for Jello sarcophaguses that once task is over are useless. Not happy a day this event is hell bent on extracting clams and my money.

A couple of other addicts have mentioned – and it’s also in the “Jelly-Yo Shots” picture above – that you can tap on the cardboard boxes to see what they might contain, but I don’t think anyone else has posted what it actually means in relation to the King Butt scenario: Quagmire’s task drops red or blue shots (but no purple), Cleveland’s task drops purple or blue (no red) and Peter has two different tasks with two different colour combinations – red/purple for Walk Like an Egyptian (Adventure Peter) or red/blue for Tickle Nose with Army Rifle…
so if you’re chasing purple shots you should be putting Cleveland and Adventure Peter on the case – Quagmire’s then free to do other stuff (although this would probably involve stocking up on red/blue shots ready for the next round!)
The picture shows Joe’s task list. Probably just an oversight, but I’d like to think that it’s a sign that other characters will be given shot-earning tasks too as time goes on.
Any details available yet on the Jelly-Yo Sarcophagi? i.e. do they contain x number of shots, or do they churn them out at regular intervals? (I don’t think I’ll be buying anyway, but I’m sure some of my clam-spending fellow addicts would like to know!)

The sarcophagus jello things contain a chance to get between 8 and 24 shots of the colour you choose. Not happy! They should at least give u a guaranteed amount that is a lot more than 8. That won’t get you past round 2. I’ve defeated him 6 times now – it’s getting stupid. I had to get 40 shots for the last 3 and they were all blue! I don’t even need more idols – I’ve got over 150,000.

I’m a freemium player, check my game game every hour, still have only 40,000 butts, now with king butt out roaming my Quahog, all I get is blue Jell-O shots when I need purple to clear the first hurdle and the first quest expires in a few hours. This is ridiculous at least EA gives freemium players a chance to get all the items in a quest (tomorrow I finish with the Arc!). If tiny co keeps making this game so difficult for freemium players to play,maybe it’s time to spend the few dollars I do spend on these games on one that rewards freemium players for playing the game. P. s. I have spent a few bucks on clams, but never again! P.p.s. I still love you guys though! I’ll see you tomorrow on TSTOaddicts!

I’m certainly no where near 100k, so I’m not holding my breath on winning King Butt…. I also have no idea how I could have ever gotten so many, I’ve been constantly on tasks since the start of this, and have been getting my double multiplier characters going as often I I possible can, and still am no where near 100k.
I’m entertained by these events, I enjoyed getting Cleveland and his costume, the story is fun… but…. I don’t care about these things that don’t exist in the show…. Every single thing TSTO puts in their game is a reference, however small… But in TQFS I just don’t really care. I like the costumes, because they exist, but all these random buildings and everything, I just don’t care about them 😦
Unless I’m crazy and just don’t remember enough about FG as I think I do….
Anyway…. I’m glad I read up on this task. I just started building the throne, and found that Peter and the boys had 4 hour tasks that gave multiple things I could not see…. So I’m going to be sure to set my alarm and get those shots!!! Who knows… Maybe I’ll get lucky 😛

1) No, Joe doesn’t give clams.
2) Clams. Spent LOTS of clams to rush the tasks to get the shots. Basically every month we put about $100 or more into our game so we can rush things for you guys and find out just what the heck is going on. 🙂

I am really confused. So I got 3 blue shots, thus successfully achieving the 2x streak. However I am not noticing any increase in idols. For example when I clicked the museum, it gave me the regular 10 idols pay out, rather than 2x which would be 20. Am I missing the point of this?

no the increase comes from the idols won when you defeat King Butt.

One thing that you neglect to add is that it is advantageous to build up the number of shots in the first two 24hr periods so that you have a stash of them to complete the other streaks. Basically, if you manage to get your quota go the first stage in the minimum amount of time. It is better to run the 24hour period as close to the end as possible. So that you have enough of a reserve for the big 40 on the last round. Make sure you can run the time down safely and make the use of collecting as many shots as possible.

We are up to $70 worth of clams for all of the premium stuff in this event, and that’s before opening the Stewie and Brian sarcophagi. That’s redonk! How do they justify that? I understand freemium, but that’s Rolls-Royce cash for some Yugo content. I know WTH time is Friday, but couldn’t sit on this one. Rant complete.

You’d need to average 14,600 a day. With out spending clams…I doubt it. But it depends. Build up your shots as much as you can and try to do the streak thing. You can earn 7500 idols each time at the highest.

No. He’ll just reset the streak. The color of shots required may change but nothing crazy.

Genuinely think i have an unhealthy obsession with this game, i am constantly thinking about it and grinding out idols, sitting on a legit 107k idols without cheating, i know i have king butt secured yet still i cant stop grinding. SUCH A GOOD GAME!!!!

Whoops, I see now. It’s not a building, it’s a gamble to get 8, 12, 18 or 25 jelly-yo shots per attempt. That doesn’t seem justifiable to use precious clams on them. Hopefully TinyCo will expand the number of characters or buildings that can drop shots.
It seems The Clam, St Elmo’s Clam and Jerome would be a good candidate since they are bars and bartender.
Ah well, looks like unlocking King Butt is most probable to purchasers of premium content 😦

Yes. Any hacked or modded games can result in TinyCo suspending your game. And all those hackers that post the videos etc…TC is on to them. It’s just a matter of time before they come down hard on them.

Really did not like this event. Compared to stonecutters in tsto really bad. The expected me to have 100,000 by the end, only have barely 30,000 and I bought a medium shrine thinking it would help. I guess that they think everyone will pay for all the buildings that drop stuff. And now there will be one character I will never get because there is no way I’m getting 70,000 idols in 6 six days.
I love the game don’t get me wrong but this event man oh man. I just hope they learn for the next event.

Ok, so just to clarify…it’s better to just have them keep going on the first one until the time to runs out to bank extra shots? Is that good strategy? I just am at 38,000 or so, and I think most of us that are playing relatively freemium (I tried the Stewie sarcophagus twice and ended up with butts, and did the Brian one twice by accident while trying to see the prizes, and ended up with a second small shrine and some clams) are having a hell of a time getting to 100,000 so I’m asking you, Alissa, for advice…I get paid on Fri…should I buy the 400 clam shrine at that point or is it too late? Would it better to just try my luck at the Stewie Sarcophagus again? What’s going to maximize my butt payout now? I really wish they’d extend this event, as I’ve gotten everything in TSTO, and with that game, as long as you play regularly you can win ALL the prizes….

I would just maximize your earning potential with the shots. That’s a good way to earn them quickly. A strategy post on it is coming soon (just trying to zip through comments on both sites. Flying solo today!)
As far as the game goes…Bunny plays. Wookiee does not (he hates FG). As far as neighbors…both Bunny and I have not linked our Facebook’s to the game. It’s just an aspect of the game that annoys both of us. So i have no neighbors (not even my husband)…but AS SOON as they come up with another way to add friends, yes 🙂

Never have I consumer a Jello-Shot. First one I ever bought had a huge chunk of glass in it (a bar fight 20 minutes before we got there shattered a large mirror behind the bar). I could never get over that first one. I will stick with drinks I can see through.

Well, I am not spending any hard-earned clams until I get the Addicts imprimatur. There is no guide to how they work in the game that I can see, and I refuse to drop 120 clams per shot – which is what it looks like it does.

It said the sarcophagi contain enough shots to defeat King Butt once. so, once you get the x5 modifier it would be guranteed 7500 idols for every 120 clams until you make 100,000.
That would run about at least $25 for me, maybe more. To be honest, King Butt-munch is every bit as annoying as the squatters, so I’ll actually be happy when his dubstepping yolo rear if finally out of my Quahog *s*

Is it just my game, or does only Cleveland have the chance to drop the purple Jello shots? Peter and Quagmire only show red and blue for me, so that means I would need 32 hours to get 8 purple Jello shots with Cleveland every 4 hours, in a time limit of 24 Hours.

A question about the butt multiplier: does it only multiply the idols earned by defeating King Butt or does it also multiply the idols earned by completing tasks with the regular characters? Example: Chris & Quagmire’s 10-hr. task = 180 butts. With a 10X multiplier, would that task get 1,800 butts or just the 180? That would help tremendously if that is the case!

My quest to build the fancy throne appeared but I couldn’t start it yet because I was building something else at the time. Once it was completed, I could no longer find my fancy throne. It’s no where on the build menu. Any ideas or suggestions? It somehow disappeared.

A strategy I think others have probably come to do is to wait until the last possible chance to give him the shots so they can send the characters out a few more times and each more shots for the next quest.

I was thinking the same thing. If he comes back after a minute, why give him the shots as soon as you get the right ones. Save up all your shots until the day before last, and then crank out the prizes, sitting at the highest multiplier. Or at the least, wait until the 24 hours is almost up before starting the next. If you use all your shots as soon as you have the right ones, you may not have time to get the next set.
Or are you saying that once you defeat him, he constantly cranks out more idols than before, so you are better off finishing him early, Alissa?

The first two or 3 tasks stretch them out. Earn as many shots as you can and “Defeat” him just before the clock runs down. This way you can earn maximum shots & maximize your play time. 🙂

Hi all. So i know a lot of people have said that this has saved the event and made it enjoyable again, but for me it has killed it. I’m really not worried about King Butt, but I will play anyway. I can actually see TinyCo extending it again to allow freemium users a sporting chance.
I am now looking forward to the end of the event, in the hope that it will coincide with the arrival of a new district!!

Do you have a kind of calendar like the stonecutters event in TSTO but for this event? With 1 week left I only have 22000 moon idols, I think reach the 100000 moon idols will be impossible to me 😦

So… just to clarify… as long as you get 100k trophies, you get to keep King Butt? Does it really matter how you do on the shot thing? I’m just under 97k now, so I’m feeling pretty confident.

I really hope tiny Co finally releases some stuff earning buildings for either moon idols or coins, because these jell yo shot buildings will look really good with my party pyramid design.

where are these buildings that drop the shots every time that are mentioned? i don’t see they anywhere yet. also, has tinyco said anything yet as to when the level caps on on the characters might by raised? all of my characters except for peter, cleveland & trica are at the maxt ATM (level 15). also same question about the game level, i’ve been at level 40 for like 2 or 3 weeks now.

I leveled peter up to 16 today? I thought everyone’s cut off was 15. Quagmire Chris Bonnie and Bruce are all maxed on 15 but peter went to 16? Is that right or another eff up?

Since completing my King Butt building this morning, the touch screen has not worked in-game so I cannot play the game at all. The only thing that operates is the back button which allows the exit window to open.

Send a report to tinyco about the issue. It could just be a glitch with your game and they may have to troubleshoot it directly.
