Hello There Clammers!
Some signs of life in Quahog once again…as King Butt as made his grand entrance! Time time it looks like TinyCo took a page right out of my college days after one too many Jelly-yo shots in Key West!

So after you’ve build King Butt’s Fancy Throne…so you can me him pray to the porcelain God…it’s time to defeat King Butt! The Throne is what makes him appear in Quahog.
Here’s how you defeat this party animal….get him drunk off his royal keister!
Basically you earn “STUFF” to defeat him…except in this case the “STUFF” is Jelly-yo Shots! Here’s how you earn those:
Basically complete tasks for various characters to have the shots drop. THREE characters have tasks that will earn shots (if you found more let me know): Peter (Adventure Peter too), Quagmire & Cleveland. Each of their four hour tasks is guaranteed to drop a shot. Which is AWESOME! However….you don’t know what color you’ll get, but we’ll get to that in a minute. The cool thing is you can start the tasks BEFORE the Throne is complete. So even if you’re still waiting for it, get Peter, Quagmire & Cleveland doing those 4hr tasks to earn you some shots!
You’ll also notice that it says you can get them from buildings. As of writing this they are not currently in the game. HOWEVER, TinyCo will most likely (as we’ve seen in the past) be adding buildings (stalls & shacks) that will drop various color Shots each time. So keep that in mind going forward…also keep in mind they’ll most likely be premium.
So now let’s get to the various shot colors. There are three total shot colors…
The characters will each drop ALL THREE colors, just at various times. So you’ll always get a shot…but you won’t always know what shot you’ll get.
Ok so now that you have the what and how part down…let’s talk game play. You will be tasked each day with getting a certain number of Jelly-yo shots to defeat King Butt. You’ll have 24 hours to complete each task.
It will take two tasks to defeat King Butt. After that you’ll just earn bonus idols each time. The point is to keep going and collect everything in order before time runs out. The longer you keep the streak going the more idols you’ll earn (This will help you unlock the rest of the items!) .
Here’s the good news….if you get a different color shot than what you need it will be saved into the shot bank and can be used for a different task. In other words…if you need 3 blue shots and get purple and red on the way to getting the blue, the purple and red shots will stay in your materials bank and count towards the next task.
Here’s how the tasks broke out for me in my game. In order:
3 Blue Shots (1st one after unlocking the throne)
8 Red Shots
14 Blue Shots (as you can see here it was done for me since I had 17 built up from the previous attempts)
25 Blue shots
40 Purple shots
Now remember…this is how they appeared in MY game. They may (and more than likely do) vary from game to game. So don’t assume this is what you’ll get.
Each time you complete a task King Butt will pray to the porcelain God and be back in your Quahog about a minute (or just under) later:
When he reappears you’ll get a new assignment of Shots to acquire to send him away again and unlock more idols! The good news is…each time you send him away your 24hr clock will reset. So you have 24 hours to complete each shot task!
The point of this all is to keep a streak going, and collect all of the requested shots within the 24 hr period. If you do you’ll continue to earn idols at the highest level. But if you don’t the counter will reset and you’ll have to start the streak all over again! (note: tasks will still come up even if your bar is full. You want it full, as that’s how you’ll earn more idols!)
Now as far as the questline goes. It’s a short 3 part questline that involves building the throne and defeating King Butt. Once you’ve defeated him (on the second shot collection) you’ll see this pop up:
As you can see King Butt will be the final prize of the event, and will cost a whopping 100,000 moon Idols. So collect ALL you can from the shot collection!
So to sum it all up:
-Quagmire, Cleveland & Peter (Adventure Peter too) ALL have a 4hr task that will earn you Jelly-yo shots
-Jelly-yo shots come in three different colors. They’re guaranteed to drop, but the color will vary.
-Use the shots to defeat King Butt. Collect what he requests and you’ll earn more idols!
-TinyCo will more than likely be releasing buildings that will drop shots (these will guarantee the color)
-You have 24hrs to complete each shot collection task. The clock WILL reset after you complete each one.
-Shots will bank for you if a color drops that you don’t need. It can be used for a future Shot request.
-King Butt is the final prize & will cost 100,000 Idols.
-Be careful how many Jelly-yo shots you do. They may taste good going down..but yea.

I just got the weirdest (but best) glitch in which I decided to finally use my store of idols to defeat King Butt and rather than getting the base amount I got thd 2X bonus, then my game glitched & shut down & when I went back on it I had an extra 20 shots of each colour! Is this normal or am I just lucky? 😛

Cool 🙂 although mine is kind of bittersweet as now my game wi not open at all! it closes itself every time I get to the blue TinyCo screen 😡 don’t know if this has happened to you? Really frustrating, don’t know what to do!

Try all the normal trouble shooting methods….hard close, uninstall/install (only if the game was linked to an account)… If all else fails, send an e-mail to: help@tinyco.com give them as much info as possible. Let me know if this helps…good luck 🙂

Once you pass the 50 multiplier, does it go straight to the 1500 multi or? Im confused lol. Also, say when i get to ten, is it ten time ten or ten times 150 for your idols, im really lost lol.

It’s ok to be confused..Cybersilly is here to help (and why am I talking in the 3rd person?…) Anywho, the multiplier “multiplies” the base amount of 150 idols..I.e. 1x = 150, 2x = 300, 10x = 1500…all the way up to 7500 idols (50 x 150). Once you get to the top of the streak bar, it stays at 50x until you fail to “defeat” Buttweiser…”The KING of Butts”, before the timer runs out. And now you have been “found” 😉

How many times do I have to defeat King Butt with 40 jelly-o shots? I defeated him with 3, 8, 14, 25 and am currently on my 3rd round of having to accumulate 40 shots, this is getting frustrating.

The first two…3 and 8, took care of making him available if/when you get a total of 100,000 idols. The rest are just to help you get MORE idols. You just keep defeating him over and over. Each time it gets harder, but each idol payout increases. 😉

My King Butt timer has been stuck on 5 min 45 secs since the throne was built.
I started building it, came back 12 hours later, and it was done but had no gold check mark above it. Just a brown square. I clicked it, the throne appeared, the quest dialogue popped up, and then the “Deafet King Butt” screen. The screen has said 5 min 45 s ever since.
Soooo I’m out of this little game aren’t I?

Try storing it are you able to do that? See if storing and replacing helps. If not next step is to contact TinyCo

I got 100,000 butts. I spent a lot of clams on clams. I am assuming that king butt will be mine in five days? I still have a ? In my last prize spot.

My total butt count is over 100k and King Butt hasn’t released on my game. I also get forced closed when I exit the game properly

also how does everyone have so many idols? my total count is only like 40,000…I do mostly 1 .hr tasks with outfits that pay the most. I feel so behind though lol

Im on 116k and my method was leaving the game open as often as possible and continuously surfing the bird (1 min) while watchin tv or doin anything really, requires little attention and youd be suprised how fast it goes up, been doing that from day one. Lik 120 idols an hour that way

so wait until each 24.hr timer is almost up then cash in? or wait until the last day and cash in everything at once to build the multiplier and miss all the deadlines except the last one?…..I did the first goal and cashed in right away, now there’s not time to complete the second…I don’t know what I should do about it…pay clams to speed tasks to finish the second?

I’ve got to the 2x streak but when I complete the tasks (hourly with goth Chris for example) I don’t get 32 dropped? It’s 16 still like it has been all along? Anyone else?

Its a multiplier on the idols that drop with King Butt, not with other characters.

Just a hunch, but I have a feeling tiny co might be extending the duration of the event. The little banner that says “Hurry! Event Ends In….” at the top of the butt idol prize list box used to have an exact timer counting down the exact seconds to the end of the event but with the recent update now just has the days left. Also, I’m pretty sure my game has listed the event as ending in 6 days for well over a day now. Might be something worth keeping an eye on.

They are not extending it. The banner is something they had to change because some players were having the even early on them. But they’ve told me there are currently no plans of extending it.

I did the math at some point and I think the event ends on Tuesday at 3:45PM Eastern. Or was it 3:15? Something like that!

Alissa, what type of work do you do (that pays the bills?) It can’t be more insane than what I do – I work at Kroger, the grocery store chain. Sometimes it gets so aggravating it makes me want to go hang out with King Butt & have Jello shots with him! Gotta make a living somehow though, right?

Heh, that’s odd, since where I grew up Kroger’s main competitor was H.E.B., which is short for Howard Edward Butt. So in a way you actually get paid to fight King Butt! 😆

I’m wondering if anyone else is getting the same glitch I am. I have enough required jello shots to beat King Butt the first time… but ever time I try to push the button, it looks like it will go to a cut scene, and the screen zeroes in on… nothing, but I can see the citizens and zombies walking around the background. Nothing else happens. It’s frozen.

Hack talk is not allowed here. What you do with your game is your choice, HOWEVER be aware that TinyCo does read this blog & if they ask for your email we will give it to them. Hacking is against their gaming policy and they have made it known that they will come down hard on hackers/those with hacked games.

You have to at least do the first two parts to finish out the quest. However, if you have 100k idols (or earn them other ways) no you don’t have to keep doing the shots.

My advice to ensure you defeat King Butt every time is to wait until the timer has almost run out to defeat him. That way you can build up your Jell-O shots to get you closer to the next target. The last task of 40 is impossible unless you have built up a lot of other shots. However, I do have a question I hope someone can answer – what happens to your idols after the event? Can you still use them to buy some of the things from the event (only the sarcophagus items say limited time), or will they, and the decorations, disappear? Please help as I want some of the decorations but don’t want to risk my idol count going under 100k. Also, can you get king Butt if you have 100k of idols even if you don’t defeat him 5 times? Finally, (sorry, that’s 3 questions not one) is the 100k needed to unlock him your total amount or the amount after purchasing? I really want to get the lotus pond, statue and various other items but don’t want to risk reducing my current total (which is 102k) if that’s the figure unlocking is based on. My game total is 124k. absolutely correct about waiting until the timer is out to defeat king butt. You don’t have to worry about spending butts, he is released from your total count (the number in the bottom right hand corner! Happy butt spending!!

So I have read that the consensus is to let the first 24 hours almost lapse before turning in the first task. I started the second task before I read that so my question is….. Would it be wise to let the second task run down the 24 hours and fail so I can restart with the first task again.

Ok sorry I just caught up reading all the comments. So the consensus is to let the timer run out everyday until the last day then turn in all the shots. it’s a gamble for sure but I’ll try it. Sorry for asking the same question everybody else did and asking you to repeat yourself. Love the site. You guys are doing a great job.

So I just let the 24hr timer expire for the first turn in with the idea of doing all of the turn ins on the last day to increase multiplier as much as possible. When the timer expired for the first (3 jello) turn in…I got credit for completing the quest. I got the XP and the 150 idols, however the multiplier did NOT go up. So nothing too major, but 150 free idosl if you havent done the first turn in yet.
