Hello There Clammers,
Just a quick post because a lot of you have been asking for various strategy tips when it comes to collecting Jelly-Yo shots. So I wanted to share with you what I’m doing in my A game….
Note: My B game is basically a game for this blog. Where I rush every task so I can do posts giving you guys the details of an event/update. So in my B game I used clams to rush the tasks to accumulate the shots for that post (hence why there are so many in the photos). However, my A game is for my enjoyment. I do buy clams, but I don’t rush things…I play the way you guys do. I’m no where near enough idols to collect all the prizes & I’m ok with that.
So in my A game my strategy is simple. Collect as many shots as I can before using any of them on King Butt. Basically I just keep collecting shots & let the timer run out each day on the first part (where it’s 3 shots 1x bonus). I never hit the DEFEAT KING BUTT button. I just let the timer run and keep collecting shots.
Now the first time the timer runs out (if you have enough shots) Peter will come up with the dialog saying you completed the first part of the task. EVEN IF YOU DIDN’T PUSH THE DEFEAT KING BUTT BUTTON. It’s really important that you know that. The timer will restart but you’ll still only need 3 shots of 1 color…as long as you don’t hit the button.
This is how my A game looks right now. The timer reset once already…but I’m building up a decent shot bank.
Keep letting the timer run down and collect as many shots as you can. THEN when you feel you have a decent amount & can keep collecting from characters, start to turn them in. This will maximize your streak & speed up the entire process.
Remember take FULL advantage of the clock after you’ve started the streak. The clock is your friend. There is NO need to DEFEAT KING BUTT within seconds of the clock resetting. Maximize your earning potential with Peter, Cleveland & Quagmire and rundown the clock each day.
Just be careful and don’t let it get to 0 once you’ve started the streak. If the clock gets to 0 and you haven’t pushed the button…you’ll have to start all over again at 1x. However, your shots will stay in the game (the ones in your bank).
Also, don’t let it go too long before you start defeating him. You’ll want to take full advantage of the earning potential too. So I would say by the end of the weekend make sure you start defeating him to earn as many idols as you can before it ends. Of course if you’re already sitting on 100,000 idols (or close to it) you don’t have to worry so much about it…
Now here’s another piece of advice. Don’t purchase any Shot Earning items until we know what’s coming in the game. The stalls could still make an appearance this weekend. And you don’t know what you can earn on your own. So be sure to try and maximize what you earn on your own BEFORE you purchase the Sarcophagi.

Is the King Butt Streak bonus supposed to work with our normal IDOL gains, as well? I thought I noticed it doubling my normal gains when I hit the x2 bonus, but every bonus after that nets me 0 extra idols. Does the streak bonus only apply to the idols you get from him for defeating him?

It only effects the 150 rewards base amount…nothing outside the shots mini game.

I am on my third streak and need to collect 14 purple jelly shots. I have used clams to speed up peter, cleveland, and quagmire about five times and each time all that’s dropped is the red or blue. Is there any known glitch of this or am I just having bad luck? I have 10 hours left now and have no purple shots and at this point I don’t see myself reaching that goal within the ammount of time left. On a side note, thank you so much for having a website for the game! Your site has helped me out tremendously throughout my gameplay!

Not having bad luck…well, maybe a little. But instead using wrong characters. Only ADVENTURE Peter and Cleveland produce purple “grape” Jelly-Yo shots. See link below for the full breakdown:

I am so pissed right now. I just defeated King Butt, and now I have to do it again??? I didn’t know you could let the timer run down while you collect shots, so I spent clams to get the 40 shots I needed to defeat him the first time. Now (apparently) I have to do it again?!? Really? If I don’t pay to get more clams at this point (I need all 40 shots to maintain the 50x) do I loose everything – including king butt? REALLY??!!!! Please help me confirm (or correct) my understanding at this point. My future in this game depends on it.
I am so angry right now, I am having trouble focusing on other things. Very angry. This makes me think that I DON’T have room in my life for this game.
Thank you for being here. No body in my real life understands why I care about a game this much. I’m starting to wonder why I care, also.

Ok..no need to get angry…I’m here to help you out and get your focus back. 😉 First, there are two things happening at once. You are “defeating” King Butt to make him available to unlock if/when you reach 100,000 idols and second, you can keep playing the Jelly-yo game to continue to get more and more idols. Defeating the “King” the “first” time was when you collected 3 Jelly shots. Then you defeated him the “second” time when you collected 8 shots. If you did those two things, that part is done. You can then keep your “streak” going by collecting 14 shots..defeat him..then 25…defeat him and finally 40. You just have to make sure the timer doesn’t countdown to zero BEFORE you hit the “defeat” button or else it goes back to the 1x level on the streak bar. I hope this cleared things up for you. 🙂

Yes, I went through the first few.. 3 shots, then 8, then 14, then 40. After I did the 40, I thought I would get the King Butt, but it gave me another goal of 40 instead of the King. Now I think that the ’40 more jello shots’ thing is just to help collect more idols/butts. (Now I think) The King is actually unlocked by collecting 100,000 idols, not maxing out the 5x on the throne thing. So this calms me greatly. I can collect 100,000 before the end of the update. But I won’t keep stressing about the jello shots.
Aside from this, thank you for responding so kindly. As I mentioned earlier, my family and friends don’t understand why this game is so important and worthy of such excitement (both positive and negative.) It is SO NICE to have a community of like-minded folks to talk to and ask questions. If it weren’t for you and the guys at TSTOfriends, I would have smashed my iphone a long time ago.

Sorry if this has been answered already … once your streak is maxed out (at 50x), does it take another 24-hour window to defeat King Butt, or is it another task? If it’s still shots, does the # of shots needed keep increasing, or is it something more reasonable? Like in your first post, your game went something like 3 shots, then 8, 14, 25, and 40, in order to get to 50x … So is the next one 40+ as well? Seems impossible to defeat KB more than once at the 50x level if that’s the case (because even if you wait to bank shots before starting, you’d need to have around 150 banked just to have a shot at keeping the streak going after you reach the max).

It stays at the 40 shot level. And you’re right. Most players will be lucky to beat him once…let alone twice, at this level. (Unless they spend clams)

At first I would test the missions they earn shots with and utalize the countdown. Then I took into account the type of shots they drop and how to make the drop chance equal for each character 2 red from adv. Peter and Quagmire, 2 blue from Quagmire and Cleveland, and the chance of 2 purple from adv. Peter and Cleveland. If the shots required are blue I will switch outfits for Peter.

My Multiplier is @ 10x.. should i let the Timer Run Out . Stack up on shots and Start over? Or will that Do more Harm than good? I defeated king Butt Twice already i think.

Can you please help me! Do you need 100k in idols on your actual total or your overall total? I spent loads on the booty box and now my current total is less than 100k, but my overall total is over 160k. Will I still get King Butt or do both totals have to be over 100k. Slightly worrying now.

100k overall total. As long as the pyramid in the bottom right is 100k or higher you’re good 🙂

You need 100.000 on your totall score ( i have 285.342 butts )
but used it all for the butts sacra boxes 😀 but my totall still standing on 285.342 butts.

Any word on the Booty Box that has now been added to the game? Cost 4,000 butts and gives “more butts and decorations” apparently. Didn’t want to buy it though if it was worthless.

Booty Box is available. 4000 moon idols to open.
I opened 5 times and so far received (5k moon, 5k moon, small yacht, open air garden and Queen Nefertahtah Statue
I really like what they did here as you can win some good prizes, I think at least.

I must say, a bit disappointed. I’ve been trying really hard to bet the king but 15 red shots in 24hrs is basically impossible unless you pay up. I’ve been updating the players every 4 hours on the spot, and yet I’m still getting blue and purple shots instead. Shame

I have been waiting like you posted.. First challenge was 3 blue. the next one was 8 purple… Now I have to have 14 blue again and I had 1 remaining from the last time.. I have 7 red and 5 purple. Not sure how I’m going to accomplish this, I have 23.5 hours left and only get 3 each 4 hours and I have NO idea what color will drop. It seems for me, the colors I need are dropping at the last hour for me,so I get it by a hair…That will give me 5 tries at it with 3 shots dropped at a time..that means I will only get 15 shots total in 23 hours. I still have 1 left over from the first challenge so I need to get 14 in the time allotted, if my 3 characters don’t drop the color I need consistently, how do I beat this??

Keep collecting. Let your clock run down, start the streak over & build up more shots. Then start again Sunday

Hey Alissa, thanks for another great and helpful post!
Idk if it’s hit everyone’s game yet but we now have a “Booty Box” available that is basically a sarcophagus, but for BUTTS, not clams. This is what I was saying about them needing to level the playing field a bit, but it sadly does not drop shots. It does give some half decent stuff though, it gave me 6000 butt’s TWICE, then Quagmire’s Plane, and a Small Yacht. There is also two Egyptian statues that I cannot see anywhere in the store so I guess they’re exclusive. So it doesn’t drop shots, but it can help you get your Butt Count up if you have a 4000 butts to spare. Sadly I spent loads on the decor etc from the event, otherwise I probably would have had about 32k to gamble on it, and with it giving more idols out it probably would’ve given me about a dozen goes in total I reckon. Decent size pack of clams available through it too, considering it’s not premium!
Good luck all. I know I won’t be getting King Butt, and I’m not bothered. Aside from him, it’s been a pretty good event.

There’s a Booty Box sacophagus for 4000 idols in the market next to a Succulent Garden cactus for 20 idols. In th Booty Box prizes range from more idols and decorations (wheelchair park, quagmire’s plane, lincoln memorial, statues) to clams. Not sure if you guys have mentioned thay anywhere

To follow up my previous comment:
My strategy for now is to get the shot task to the second/third part in the streak ( x10 ) so I can gamble with the new sarcophagus. You can win clams ( 10/50 ), moon idols ( 5, 000/5, 500/7, 000 ) or prizes. Which will give me a better chance. x10 will earn 15, 000 = 4 tries. I play totally freemium on android and am at around 37,000 moon idols total.
King Butt is not my goal but it’s nice to rake up some prizes with a change of clams. It’s not like the King is canon to Family Guy iow he’s not Stewie.

So about the new green Brian Sarcophagus; The booty box which costs 4, 000 moon idols. Here are my attempts:
1. 5, 000 moon idols
2. The Petercopter
3. Small yacht
4. Small yacht
5. Open air debris
Keep trying to get moon idols to raise my total count for getting the target prizes or those sweet clams!

I needed purple shots for my game so When I clicked ‘find shots it took me straight to Peter to set him on his shot task and then when I clicked ‘find shots’ again it took me straight to Cleveland but when I clicked find shots again I expected it to take me to Quagmire (because hes the only other character to get shots from) but it didnt, does this mean that because the game only took me to Peter and Cleveland that these two will reward me with the shots the game asked me for but Quagmire will give me a different colour. If so this could be a good way of knowing what shots your gonna be rewarded so you won’t need to speed up tasks to find out or it’s probably just a random irrelevant thing that I’ve read too much into 🙂
