Hello There Clammers!
Well for the THIRD straight day in a row TinyCo has decided to drop another late night update into our games. And I’ve got to say, while I’m pleased with some of the additions…i’m extremely annoyed at the update drop time. To me these late night updates are no better than the Government passing laws in the middle of the night behind closed doors. They’re sneaky & annoying. So WHAT THE HELL!?! Oh wait…wrong post…. 😉
ANYWAY let’s take a look at the new stuff shall we? And most of this stuff is all about the Booty!

First let’s look at the newest addition that has nearly everyone here buzzing (or maybe that’s just from all the Jelly-Yo shots?)….the Booty Box!
Perhaps it was the results of the Sarcophagi poll that I shared with TinyCo that inspired this, or maybe they had it planned all along (i like to think it was me)…but TinyCo has heard the cries from the players about the Mystery Boxes and FINALLY introduced one for Booty!
For 4,000 Moon Idols you can take a stab at the all new Booty Box! Here’s what you can win:
Obviously the best prizes in there are the Clams and the extra booty (if you need it) but the rest isn’t too shabby either! Many of them cost clams, in game, or have a high dollar value associated with them. So all in all not a bad deal for only costing booty!
Here’s my opinion on this: I say go for it at least once! What do you have to lose? Some extra booty? It won’t take away from your overall total (which is the number you need to get King Butt) and what are you going to do with all that booty once the event is over? It won’t carry over into everyday Quahog. Here’s a perfect way to get rid of all that booty!
My suggestion is…try it once or twice now see what you get. Then build up as much booty as you can and on the last day (or second to last day) of the event buy any items you may want from the event & spend the rest of your idols on this new box! Perfect way to get rid of the last of that booty and at least you have a shot at getting some clams!
The next new item…the Imperial Sarcophagus.
This is designed to help you get 80’s Cleveland faster. A little bit better than the other “buildings” they added to drop the stuff. For 50 clams you can win increments of 3, 5 and 10 of the items required to get Cleveland…AND when you’ve cleared out one of the items (like the shoes for example) you can win clams! 70 or 150 clams.
My opinion on this one: This is worth it…at least ONCE if you have the clams and need stuff for Cleveland. In my A game I haven’t unlocked 80’s Cleveland yet (i got mad at the game over the weekend and didn’t play it)…but I have all the shoes required. So it’s great because I can finish it up AND still win clams. I think this one is worth the gamble…once.
Next new item is the Succulent Garden:
For 20 moon idols you can add these desert flowers to your Quahog and complete your Egyptian Feel.
My opinion: Buy at least 2 of them. They’re not too bad and add a pop of color to your Quahog!
Next we have a couple of items that were added with Wednesday’s late night update (the same one that brought us the Jelly-Yo Sarcophagi that I just forgot to mention….
Egyptian Bath House
For 3,000 Moon Idols you can add this to your Quahog and complete your Egyptian look.
My Opinion: It’s meh. It’s a little out of place for Quahog, BUT if you’re building/designing an Egyptian area then it’s not a bad deal. I do like the design of it…and really kind of makes me want to go swimming…perhaps it’s just the Northeaster Heat & Humidity tho!
And finally we have the King Butt Flag
For 50 Moon Idols you can add this flag to your Quahog to commemorate your achievements during the Kingdom of the Full Moon!
My opinion: Pass. 50 idols isn’t much but what the heck are you gonna do with the flag? We already have Peter’s Pirate flag in the game. The only reason, in my mind, to get this is because you want to remember those butts forever!
And now for the Grand Prize:
Many of you have been reporting seeing THIS is your town:
Yes, it’s true. The final prize(s) of this event cost 100,000 Moon Idols (overall…bottom right of your game screen) AND you’ll win King Butt PLUS The Gold Statue…which many of you were hoping for!

NEW STORE ITEM!!!
For 25 Clams (yes nothing for a freemie) you can now purchase the spawn of 10 “hot mess mummies” therefore earning you between 400 and 800 idols. Alternatively, spend 120 clams and get 50 of the same, therefore earning you between 2000-5000 idols.
Still waiting for a shot stall or more shot tasks or stuff for COINS!!!
Just not spending anymore cash on this event. Refuse to. I don’t care if I get King Butt, but I kinda want the gold trophy now.

My current plan is to just gather idols until the very end and buy Booty Sacophagi and hope to hit idols over, and then turn he idols over for more sarcophagi until I hit 100,000.
Unrealistic? certainly, but more likely than me accumulating 14 purple shots in 24 hours!

In your “Shop”, pretty much anything that has the event background will go at the end of the event. Wait as long as you can then pick out anything that puts a smile on your face. I’m collecting a lot of lava fence. Lol

HELP – Is anyone else having issues with claiming Booty Box purchases? I did it once, the game locked up on a scroll-like screen that was blank; maybe it was supposed to be the animation or show me what I won?? Tiny quickly credited me the 4K butts, but I still wanna try my hand at more Booty Box attempts. Any help/advice is appreciated.

It’s great that they credited your account. I’d say go for it. Now that you’re in their system, it would be easier for them to track, should it happen again. Also, when you play, make sure all other apps are closed and not running in the background. Animation sequences are memory intensive.

Welp… Tried 2 of the booty boxes. Got a wheelchair skate park and a flammable dry bush garden. The only 2 decorations I already have. Boo-urns!!
Love the succulent garden. It’s pretty. Bought 14. Will probably snag more before event end.

Also in the game now… options for 10 hot mess mummies for 25 clams (400-800 butts dropped) or 50 hot mess mummies for 120 clams (2000-5000 butts dropped).

So when I claimed the Grand Prize, my Jelly-Yo event disappeared! Did I miss you posting that this would happen or is this a glitch in my game? I probably should have guessed that this would happen, I was just So Excited!

so i just thought i’d post this: king butt is in the game now, i’ve had him for about 10 mins now. i’ve got him on his 1st task which is taking a selfie.

DO NOT CLAIM King Butt if you want a good chance at getting the two statues from the booty box! I was able to rack up the butts (lol) from the booty boxes, got 40k in a few days. I was in line to get the 50x bonus on the Throne (took 200 clams if planned out)… I start up the game… It asks me to claim King B, so I do. Then… his thrown turns into a useless decoration!
I would assume that if you DON’T claim him you can continue earning shots for butts.
I’m super mad, I was happy that I WAS in good shape to get the Queen statue (I have the other). Just a warning to others who want to try n get all the butts they can before the end of the event!

I’m also surprised that Shots go away if you claim the King. I didn’t think I was going to make it to 50x because I wasn’t going to spend Clams (except for maybe last minute speed ups) and I thought I would get appx 30-35 of each color and needed 40 of one of them. But I was going to play the Jello game and wake up every 4 hours to try.

King Butt is now available!! I have sent him on a task and am going a little break from collecting idols. It’s a shame you can’t gift idols to people as I now have excess which I would much rather pass onto others that are struggling with the event. 🙂

Does the total idol on bottom right have to be 100000 because i am at 113000 and it still hasnt unlocked. My current amount top right is 90500 so does this have to hit 100000 for it to unlock? I am hesitant to go for the booty box because of this.

I have collected 100,000 Moon Idols but the spot to select King Butt in the Scroll in the bottom right still shows a huge question mark and there are only a few more days left in the event. Plus once I hit 100,000 it never popped up with a “Hey you got a prize, claim it now” pop up.
Anyone know if they just haven’t made King Butt available to collect or is there something wrong with my game???

Damn, so it looks like you don’t get the Imperial Sarcophagi if you already have 80’s Cleveland because it isn’t showing up in my list… Or is this just happening to me?
I’m lovin’ the Booty Box. Played it 11 times already. I had less than 50,000 idols yesterday but now I’m over 80,000 so I think I’m getting the Butt dude, woohoo!!! I didn’t think I had a chance yesterday. Plus, I got another Abe, two Anubis’ and some other crap 🙂

I actually like the King Butt flags– I bought a bunch of those and put 4 on each side of King Butt’s throne and it looks cool– it reminds me of the World Series trophy aka Commissioner’s Trophy. 🙂
I’ll save my idols until the last day and buy the booty boxes then. I want the two statues mainly although winning the extra clams is a plus!

Alissa, thanks for all you do with this site. It has been very enjoyable reading all of you posts and everyone’s comments. So I am guessing the Imperial Sarcophagus is not available if you have already unlocked Cleveland’s 80s costume because I do not have one. As for the Booty Box, that has spelled some trouble for me…. couldnt stop opening them! I’m sitting at 68,000 moon idols so I am still hopeful I will be able to get to the 100K I need for King Butt. Which is why I thought I would be able to bank on some idols by opening the Booty Box. Not the case… at least not for me. So I opened 11 total and got: (1) 5500 moon idols, (1) Anubis Statue, (2) Flammable Dry Bush Gardens, (1) Quagmire’s Plain, (1) Lincoln Memorial, (1) Wheelchair skate park, and (4) small yachts. All in all not terrible but also not what I was hoping in regards to getting some extra moon idols. What is the world am I gonna do with 5 yachts (already had 1)? It would be nice if you could actually place them deeper in the water rather than right on the shoreline….

I can kinda understand why it might be annoying to have an update appear overnight, especially if its time dependant content (which this stuff isn’t. It’s limited time but you could potentially hold off until the final minutes of the event and then buy it all if you wanted). But how is it sneaky? What are they getting away with here?
Or do you just mean in terms of how difficult it makes your job of documenting this stuff?

Might actually be in with a chance at 100,000 booty now! This morning i had 37,000 with around 25,000 to spend, now i have 60,000 total with 7,000 left to spend plus have 10 clams, quagmires plane, 2 lincoln memorials and 2 junk gardens
Pretty good deal if you ask me, pretty sure ill get a fair few goes with all the jelly shots im hoarding!
Plus every time you win booty you get another go on the sacophagi!!

Just a heads up!
It took me nearly 120,000 butt statues to get the two rare items from that new sarcophagus. Is it just me, or does this seem like a way to force everyone to lose all their, UH!!?!?, butts, and not have enough for the king butt character.

The “King” comes out of the total earned amount (bottom right), not the idols you have to spend…so go nuts. 😛

I don’t buy clams as I suspect my ‘addiction’ to the game could end up costing me my house lol 🙂 so, I’ve defeated King Butt twice now, an I now need 14 red shots to beat him again which I’ll never get within the next 22 hours. Does that mean I won’t win King Butt as a playable character? Also, I don’t understand the ‘streak’… I’m on 10x butts… Does that 10x only apply to what I win when I defeat King Butt???

Now that you have beaten him twice, he will be available to unlock, IF you have 100,000 or more total earned idols. Yes, the 10x is the reward you would get if you beat him before the timer runs out….10 x 150 (base amount) = 1500 idols. 🙂

So, am I wrong in thinking that it’s impossible to attain 100,000 moon idols without paying money? I have been playing since the start and have tried to optimize my idols by checking in hourly during the day, and it appears mathematically impossible to get to 100,000, even if I were to hit the multiplier quest a couple times.

It is very difficult to reach 100,000 strictly playing freemium unless you took full advantage of the mummy “minute” spawn rate glitch. I was averaging around 7,000 to 8,000 idols a day before I had to update my iPad.

Booty Box is not worth playing. I ve played many times and got only some gadgets: 2 ships, 3 gardens, 2 wheelchair skate parks, egyptian statue and Petercopter. I see that some people got more booty for total overal, but I dont belive in clam prize by that.

But what else are you going to do with the Booties? If you’ve bought the event stuff you want then the rest are just going to disappear when the event ends. Why not spend them on random stuff. Worse case stuff sits in inventory.

I’ve been playing all the time through this event and I’m nowhere near the final prize. Not that bothered as the prizes are a bit crap, just on “the other game” I’m set to get everything. I guess you can’t complete events on this game if you’re freemium?

I was at 83k butts (72k saved) last night and afraid that I wouldn’t get to 100k after my Mummy spawn went down with the ios update but this Booty box saved me.
I spent 4000 maybe a dozen times and won 7000, 5000, 5000 and other stuff and I’m sooooo happy I did it. (48000 to win 17000 and I’m happy!) This put me over the 100k total because the winnings go to total. It is legal money laundering.

So, I bought a pile of those new “Booty Boxes” this morning. I started at a score of ~44K idols and got to ~94K spending about 30K in idols. I didn’t record each buy, but I got a ton of 5K idols and a couple 7K. Also got x4 nef statues, x1 skate parks, x1 lincoln memorials.

I bought 5 booty boxes so far. 4 Open air debris gardens and a yacht. Can’t say I am surprised the non clam costing items are equipped with horrible drop rates. The skeptic in me sees this as another grab for clams. If you are a completionist you will need to get the special items in these boxes, meaning when the odds burn through your idols you will have to dig in deeper. I would like at this time to predict that within a few weeks there will be a new event commemorating the release of Stewie, obviously equipped with all the premium purchases and bs odds you can shake a stick at. Ya know I think the worst part of this event is that my annoyance with TinyCo has transferred in part by association to the Family Guy show which really has nothing to do with this nonsense. I guess the good news is that after forever as a reader at TSTO I am finally commenting.

I can forgive a lot about this game. I understand it’s new and they have to drip feed content like Stewie, new decorations, characters able to progress beyond level 15, etc. Their cash grab is getting to be a bit openly shameless, with this latest heist of 120 clams for shots sarcophogi (it’s almost impossible to keep the streak going without clam assisted top ups), but even that didn’t annoy me much because we still have a choice and can simply not buy clams and wait for the free characters if we want. Now though, they’ve really peed me off. I thought it nice that they were finally giving us something for the moon idols (and it probably was due to your poll, Alissa) but they’ve rigged that ridiculously. I didn’t expect to win premium items straight away, maybe not at all, but I got the yacht and 7000 idols on my first two tries (and thought, ah that’s great!) and then won FOUR IN A ROW of the open air debris garden. Refused to buy another go. So don’t think TinyCo are responding to our feedback in any meaningful way, compadres. Unless I’m just monumentally unlucky. Think I’ll head over to the WTH post and register my outrage there, too.

I’m ashamed to say I woke up in the middle of the night and discovered to Booty box last night and, in the haze of half sleep, I played it 8 times. 3 of those times cashed in 5,500 idols, so it wasn’t a complete loss, but I think I would have been better off waiting. I have a feeling the stalls are still on the way and, if they cost idols and I can’t afford them, I’ll be kicking myself. Currently, I think the best I’ll be able to do is about 10,000 shy of the Grand Prize, but TC may have more items to help along my total count. For now, I’m sitting on my idols and collecting idols and shots as usual. Here’s hoping I didn’t screw myself over.

I like the booty box. Seeing as I already dropped some booty on all the bigger items I want this is a nice way to shed some more. I played three times already. First time I got the flammable garden I already had from earlier in the game (boo), second time I got 5500 butts which got me over the threshold for the swordsman (double bonus), with the windfall I played again and got the Lincoln statue. I have almost 5000 butts left, so I will likely be playing some more closer to the end of the event.

My Egypt event disappeared and I lost everything. It also wouldn’t let me claim/buy the King even though I had over 100,000 butts and defeated him with jellyo several times. 😦 I miss Egypt.

I’m confused about the Imperial Sarcophagus. I don’t have it – does it only appear if you don’t have 80’s Cleveland?
And if you do have access to it, is it possible to Clam-farm from it? Meaning, just keep buying it for 50 clams and have it drop 70 or 150 each time, thus ensuring a profit? Or does it go away once you max all the items you need?

I’ll be buying up the monkey statue, the bath and some other event dec’s and then with what’s left I’ll spend on the box. The box really isn’t that good. Do I want to pay 4k butts to win 1k?, or to win another wheelchair skate park? no, I want the exclusive items on offer though, but sods law…

Don’t forget that yes you are onlu winning and additonal 1k butts to spend but the 5k you win goes towards your total to unlock King Butt. I played a few times and won the 5k prize twice so now I’m 10k closer to getting King Butt. Drop rate does stink, I got a few skate parks and gardens myself but the 10k butts really helped out!
