Here’s something to look forward to, if you go to a friends town and tap on the other 2 unbuilt benches its says Cheryl and Cupid in park bench and after some research I recon that it’s Cheryl Teigs. Hope you enjoyed that possible look into the future of this event.

i just got Arnold and color me shocked, unless thats a very good impersonator, it sounds like they actually got him. and damn, some of his dialogue is hilarious…i especially love the one about Jamie Lee Curtis…cuz its so true. 😛

Little late for a weekend thread, but meh. It doesn’t really fit anywhere else that’s too recent.
I kind of wish the PDA couples did something useful after you finish the Quagmire and Peter unlocks instead of persisting to drop nothing but broken or love hearts that affect absolutely nothing until the next set unlocks. You can ignore them sure, but it kind of goes against the concept of a feature of an event if they suddenly become worthless for a period of time.

It is kind of frustrating. But I don’t think TC anticipated people completing it so quickly. And the only reason they were completed quickly is because of the changes they made to the couples because of player backlash.

True, and at least they’re useful once again now that Joe’s prizes are available. Hopefully they think about it and make them drop valentines cards or something while the meter is inactive. Maybe even the possibility of the rare clam every so often?

This weekend, on Windows 8, I downloaded a program called Auto Mouser from sourceforge. I took some transparent red 3M tape and put it on my second monitor where the game is and put it over Peter and Quagmire’s house.
I used the Autoclick program to map the coordinates of where their houses are and the tape so I can re center the map.
I set it to click on Peter and Quagmire’s house every 30 seconds.
Now I can grind all day and do other things. I earned $5400 while I was at work today from just having it click those two houses. The computer grinds for me when I’m asleep or making dinner or watching TV. Makes affording expensive things so much easier and less boring.

Why do have now have a load of tasks to collect 2015 New Year event stuff?
AFAIK I have nothing to collect for. There is no bar that fills up in the top right if anything is collected from building or tasks. Is this just me or a known bug?

i am only able to get the love hate prizes for peter and quagmire. all the rest are (locked) but hot meg is all the way at the bottom. whats the deal? do i not have enough charaters unlocked? i only just unlocked seamus and meg. (new to the game)

The rest are locked until TinyCo unlocks them…you’re not the only one. It’s released in stages. Stage 1 just had 2 prizes, a way to get your feet wet. Stage 2 will be a bit more chaotic.

Getting Ida tomorrow, took roughly 2 days. Finished the PDA couples easily and bought Arnold, very happy with it being voiced(did they convince the real one to do some legit line reads?). So far a very relaxed event, the way things should be.
Guessing Glenda as costume and Cheryl as character this week then Hot Meg and Cupid the last week. Maybe 1 more character in there since some weird things happened with the numbers(Arnold bumped it up on his own meaning he didn’t figure into the original 3 the event bumped).

Having a fabulous evening after a particularly long week! Blah, Blah, Blah. And a last minute request for dinner, from a very important friend, came out fabuloso! He is gonna be away for a couple of months, blah blah. And am very happy that I was able to leave work at work, for a change! Blah. And am thrilled that many fans here are doing better than some previous events. Blah blah blah blah 😉

Do the Chumba Wumbas ever go away? They keep waling in front of the PDA couples. I got the 20 for the task, and have kept Stewie collecting them, but there is never less than 4.

I got my Beautiful Peter!!! He was almost as easy to get as Lois! I have to wait until tomorrow to use his skin though. Not willing to part with clams to speed his task. That and unlocking Pawtucket Pat? Made for an awesome weekend!

it’s a glitch going on with the update, we’ve alerted TinyCo but you should also send them an in game message about it as well. The more inquiries on it the quicker they’ll be to respond.

Ok I need advice I’ve built the ride and the gym, I have handsome Peter I set all but one person to Ida tasks just incase it counts if I repair bench 1st but just remembered that after I build beautiful people club I will need Peter twice to finish the questline before 12th. Should I start Ida in the morning or wait till I’ve built the club and finished the quests.

I saw on the District 10 post that the ChumbaWumbas stop spawning when you complete the questline. Does this mean that ones already in your town will go away (I hope) or will Stewie have to clear them? And do you know if the option to craft stuff will end? I really don’t want those tasks interfering for the life of the game…

I’m trying to remember but I think you may have to clear them.
Not sure on the craftable aspect. I think as long as you can still craft items the option will still be there

Family guy addicts. If you can contact with tiny co, and I’m sure that you can with your info, could you propose to them an idea.
We have all been in a situation where we make a character do an action and then start a quest involving that character doing something, or started to bulid a building and then needing to build a completely different one. So why don’t they put a cancel button on actions and buildings, that you can use at any point in the action. Because I sometimes have this problem and it is annoying.

Doing some online “browsing”, which usually turns into shopping. I’m thinking Bunny may own a pair of these, or will soon ;)I was actually roaming the Hottopic online store. I’m always looking to see what FunkoPop has released as well as all of the other reasonably priced merch to feed my geek soul! ( You know, that “stuff” you just can’t live without haha )

Thinkgeek.Com sucks me in all the time. Funny story on those boots… I wanted a pair but all they had left was small at the store and out online at Christmas. I’m a Bunny, my feet aren’t small. Bwahahahahahhahaha. Needless to say, I didn’t snag me a pair. I also missed out on the weeping angels robe. They were supposed to be holding a large for me…I showed up…small. 😦

If anyone is looking for another game to kill time with, they just released Transformers Battle Tactics. It’s not bad. Build a squad of four Transformers and fight other players. Gameplay is simple, but there is some strategy involved. It’s got lots of G1 characters, although they have a “super-deformed” look.

Im nervous about what will be oposite hot meg on the last love meter. They wouldnt dare make us chose between skins would they? I dont care if I miss buildings or decos, I pass on those all the time, but they better not mess with my complete character and skin collection.

Ended up having today off. Good because I get time with the kids/wife, bad because I get time and a half for working Sundays.
Watched Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure with the kids. They enjoyed it, but I had to explain WAY too many of the 80’s jokes for my comfort level. I am old now.
Getting ready to drive thru the snow to visit some family. Should be fun.
Still overly excited about the Pat’s victory.

I just finished collecting the hearts needed for peters affection building, I know u guys don’t give spoilers but can we get a heads up If the person after Peter has a building and which side is it love or hate, don’t need to know what it is just which side to stockpile :), prefer buildings to decorations, thanks!!

hi everyone! So far I feel like this is the easiest event I’ve played through.. hopefully others are as fortunate as I am getting buildings and hearts. My only concern/question is related to the pda couples. I already got peter and quagmire pda gifts (I went with ❤ for both)!. I have since been collectin hearts still.. my question is do you think the hearts will all clear when the next gifts are updated (Feb 12?). I think if not that it kind of sucks.. bc I assume it will force me to collect prizes (assuming I collected enough love hearts for it). What if I want the hate prize? If they keep love as new buildings and hate for decorations I'm totally okay with it but I'd hate for them to switch it up on me lol. what do you all think? Similar sentiments?

I have been putting this off, but now since Ida Quagmire has arrived I need to know the answer. If Glenn is 61, shouldn’t Ida be pushing somewhere close to 80 or more? What doctor was going to perform a sex reasignment procedure on someone that old. And why did Dan wait so long before transitioning? (I know we are living longer these days but 80 is still considered short time in the game of life).

What are your thoughts on what hearts to collect now for phase 2, broken or unbroken? I’m really torn on what to do. I’m thinking about just waiting to see what is released so I don’t have to backtrack if I chose wrong. Decisions decisions! 🙂

The inherent danger in that is if Tinyco pulls the ol’ Switcheroo and we get decos for the hearts the next go ’round and have buildings in the broken heart selection.

2 tips
1. Be sure to check how many Valentines Cards you get on a task say for 2 hours as opposed to 4 hour one. Some characters aren’t doubled as you’d expect
2. Some houses if you keep them with snow on them offer way more coin and XP than if you go back to the standard

Usually that is trade off in these games. You need to find your balance of time vs. reward. The longer the task the less of the reward overall. So 2 one hour tasks will beat 1 two hour task usually for rewards.
Again I think you will find that the snow buildings are not as rewarding as their plain counterparts. For example, Peter’s house from Halloween gave 60 coins per 12 hours. While the plain house give 3 coins per 30 seconds (360 per hour if you clicked it exactly every time it cycled). But as you see in this grossly exaggerated example it’s a trade off of time versus reward. I am not going to be logged in for an hour to collect those 360 coins, but I may be on long enough per visit to score slightly more than 60 in a 12 hour time frame.
Sorry, was in science mode this morning, and couldn’t resist laying down some of the math in game. Please forgive me for my need to point this out as it is a “flaw” I am working on trying to control better.

Enjoying the Valentine’s event so far. Takes getting used to the PDA couples though. Got Arnold unlocked working on Ida and almost got her unlocked. Can’t wait to see who will be next week for the Premium character. I think I will send Arnold on a date with Consuela since he likes maids/housekeepers so much. 😉

Someone said that if you visit your friends’ town and click on the benches that still need building it says “Cheryl’s Bench” and “Cupid’s Bench”. I can see it in Ollieland and I don’t have any other friends, so I can’t say that’s 100% true but it’s possible it could be Cheryl Tiegs
