Hey there Minions…errrr…is it Trick or Treaters? Either way, bouncing on in to help with some updates and clarifications on the items we are seeing trending for the event.
So you are having some issues in the game. Can’t seem to figure out what is going on. Well we are here to help out all we can. Let’s look at the most common issues we are seeing now….
(I just think Consuela is trying to make herself important in the game. Lol.)
ERROR MESSAGE std;;bad_alloc
This is a message usually caused when there is insufficient RAM on your device. Try to Force Close the app and restart your device. Then relaunch Family Guy: TQFS once again to see if that resolved it.
ERROR MESSAGE Array Not Found For Key Character
This is an issue impacting Samsung Devices. There was an upgrade in the app market to resolve this, so make sure you go to Google Play Market and check to make sure you are on the latest update. If your game is saved to an email or Facebook, then Uninstall and Reinstall the app to see if there was corruption in the file your originally downloaded.
ERROR MESSAGE Child name FingerView not found
This is currently being investigated. Will update when issue is isolated. In the meantime, please report it to TinyCo. (Please feel free to send in an image of this issue to us if you run across it.)
ERROR MESSAGE “Not Enough” FOR THE CAULDRON ITEMS
You have enough items, but still are unable to brew the item. This patch is almost ready to push. It will be in version 1.3.5 Update, so keep an eye out for it in the App Market and update your device to it when it hits.
ERROR MESSAGE Could not find close button ‘button_close’
This is currently being looked at (Not Enough Issue may also correct this one too). In the meantime, report it to TinyCo.
FACEBOOK ACCOUNT RESETTING TO LEVEL 1
We reported about this on many other posts, but with players still having this issue I wanted to keep the information fresh. I know there are readers here waiting for a fix on this. I also have seen several now as well that did wait patiently and follow instructions…who now have their games back and running. I know from personally speaking to them on our trip that this is definitely a priority to them, it is just not an easy fix and requires some patience on your part as they help with it. Just make sure you first sent a ticket in to them and then keep an eye out for the auto responses. If it says something to the effect of “if you still have the issue, reply”…then make sure you reply. That way they keep you in the queue for tech support. This is very important as the message is there to clear out those that wrote in and the issue corrected itself, it was a mass issue a patch fixed, the player figured it out, etc. Please do NOT spam them with message after message. This just bogs down the system, slows down the responses, and causes a back log that has to be cleared once again. Try to ONLY reply to the same original message and allow proper time for response. (In other words, please don’t expect instant results, responses on a weekend, or a magic instant fix for a very complex technical issue. 🙂 )
MY CHARACTER/FP/XP IS NOT LEVELING UP
We see this time and time again. Many players are VERY visual when it comes to the game, so you notice lil things that stand out. The number one item is the Leveling Up Bars. So here is the basic breakdown for that, the FP/XP is most definitely being added to these it is just visually the bars do not seem to move up. They are, but at a “turtle” pace most the times. Because of this, a player may panic there is an issue. We do play the games ourselves, so many of these issues we see too. For instance Francis on Level 3…Even Alissa thought he wasn’t moving, so she tested it out. Sped up his tasks over n over n over…sure enough the bar finally “jumped” and Francis visually showed that leveling up was happening. I tested it out too, I am just used to it by now as I see it over and over being a visual person myself. Just be patient with it. Remember each level requires MORE to go to the next one, so it will take longer to fill up and also the delay in the sync can impact it. Give it a lil time and it will move. Just slow. Sometimes it is such a small movement, you may not even notice it. (Like below.) Of course if you still feel there is an issue, report it to TinyCo. They can go into your game and check for you.

If it does not, report the issue to us to track on one of the Glitch Posts as well as make sure you report it to TinyCo so they have impacted games to test patches and fixes on.
