Hello There Clammers!
Halloween has arrived in Quahog! And Peter, in typical Peter fashion, has decided to tick off the dead. In doing so Peter accidentally opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery and unleashes all manner of ghosts and goblins on the city…your job is to help round up these ghost, goblins and ghouls! We’ve already had the dead return, Predator & a bunch of crazy Trick-or-Treating kids…so why not add to the fun and throw Alien into the mix!
Alien is an all new premium character introduced just for Halloween. Alien will not only help you earn Terror Dog Bones BUT you’ll also earn more Smoke Bombs (to help stink out those pesky Trick-or-Treaters) as well! And I know you’re all dying to find out more about this new character in Quahog…so let’s break it all down for you below…
To add Alien to your Quahog it’ll cost you 200 Clams and don’t worry there’s no additional STUFF to get. Once you purchase Alien is yours forever! It will also comes with an egg…which will help you earn even more Spirit Vials and Fright Points (10 vials, 2FP/8hrs).
As mentioned above Alien will help you clear Terror Dogs and earn Terror Dog Bones for you. Alien will ALSO earn Stink Bombs to help stink out those pesky Trick-or-Treaters! (Note: the task to earn traps is 4hrs…but I’m finding that it ALWAYS drops the bombs. So that’s a nice added benefit for spending the clams)
Alien does come with a pretty amusing questline, and a questline that involves a lot of characters. And as an added bonus, if you purchase it and complete Part 2 of the questline you’ll earn 12 Stink Bombs.
Alien does have a “voice”…
So now that we know HOW to get Alien, let’s take a look at its tasks…

There you have it….the details on this creatures arrival in Quahog! Remember..it does come with a questline, Man’s Best Friend, and he WILL help you earn more Stink Bombs and Terror Dog Bones!

I had Alien has a backup plan if there’s trouble with the Zuul’s portal challenge, fortunately, I wasn’t forced to make a purchase just yet. As a freemium player, I’ve raised up another 200 clams since Comic-Con (after getting Nathan Fillion), so I’ve been saving clams. If I had to choose between Alien or Predator, on franchise love, Alien, but on practicality for the event, Predator, as he can get banshee tears (hopefully Cleveland will fix that).
I will wait on spending clams unless I see a full reason to use them, although with this game, there’s always more to come. It’s like playing poker, you have to play your clams carefully.

If it wasn’t for those 12 bombs I never would have finished the temple quest. Very fun character and love the animations.

I’m still debating. Do you know if Alien will be available until the end of the event? I’ve been going a little crazy with clams lately and I’m on the fence with this. Can’t say I’m a huge fan of the movie or anything, and I’m well ahead in this event, but it just seems a little odd having Predator without Alien!
That, and it might be a good idea to wait and see what else comes along for premium currency, especially since I don’t really need Alien’s help…
Thoughts?
On a side note, just wondering what your strategy is for placing items, since you’re probably in the same boat as me and have nowhere near as much room as you need for all your stuff. How are you deciding what to store and what to display? For me it’s just really frustrating not being able to have everything I’ve paid real money for out in the open.
I don’t mean to sounds grouchy, I think TinyCo is incredible with the community, and you guys are AWESOME for providing a place for everyone to communicate (and I guess complain, like me sometimes) so everyone can benefit and have a better overall experience. So thank you!

I know everyone likes to display items. I am BIG on designing my town. This game is a lil different in that a LOT of stuff is offered, not necessarily to display all the time but it is there. Land only opens as each new district does. I personally rotate out event items. w/e doesn’t fit into my current town “theme”, but I also like to change it up a lot. 😉

Hi, I know this has nothing to do with Alien, but I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a problem leveling up Francis?
I’ve had Francis stuck on level 3 with the XP bar not moving at all, for a few days despite sending him on his 4hr task at least 3-4 times a day. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

It is the same thing we have seen time n time again. Each level requires MORE…so the next level seems slower to fill up, but it is filling. Just has the “illusion” it may not be. Don’t worry, you will get there and see it jump. 😉

Thanks for responding! I saw the other glitches post and I am glad I am not the only crazy one that thought his bar wasn’t really moving. I expect this around the level 8 or 9, but at level 3, it seems a lot slower for Francis than most characters! I actually unlocked him and Diane within a few days of each other with the same 4hr tasks and Diane is at Level 7 and he is at Level 3 still so it maybe is just more experience not only with the level but his character as well

Lol. It is the oddest of areas this happens too. We saw it with the FP. Like round 2 to 3 it was slooooooooooooow, but now just seems fine. Lol.

Sorry, but its not the same thing as a larger xp requirement seeming to make it not move. Its not a so-called ‘hell level’. Its actually not moving. Mine has been half way through level 3 for days now as well. Was getting xp through quests, but now he’s on the stage where he doesn’t have the level to complete the next part (“Have Francis repent for sins”) it has stalled.

I bought both Alien and Predator and couldn’t be happier about the decision. Having iconic horror villains in my Quhog is just awesome!! Can’t wait for the next two (rumored) ones they ar coming! 😁🙊🙉🙈

I apologize for a bit of a rant:
I have a hard time with the price of things for this game. No matter how much I enjoy it the game is still a casual ‘tapper’ for mobile devices. I’ve played numerous mmo games over the years that have sold ingame items and upgrades for cash amounts similar (and less). However, I can’t put equal value on something like storage expansion or a character slot in an mmo to a little building that gives a handful of coins a few times a day or a character I just tap every once in a while.
Yeah, yeah, they need to make money, but so do the large, immersive games that charge similar amounts for things much more useful. For now I don’t know if I should start feeling okay with some of the costs for the mmo games or feel like this game should have lower costs. It’s just an issue I have, sorry.

Yeah, they should have a joined job, predator and alien. This was my first buy after months playing this game, couldn’t resist to get Alien, since I had hoarded enough clams to buy predator and was about to miss the Zuul’s portal, got alien for the 12 bomb pack they gave free. Seemed like a bargain since 12 bombs alone are in 150 clams

Love the Alien, first time I spent so many clams on a character and not regretting it at all. It contributes to so many aspects of the event and even his tasks have clever references to the films, e.g. if you tap it while it is chasing its tail it describes it as ‘perfect organism’ – a line from the film.

Like others. I had to break down and buy clams for the Alien and Predator. Love both these characters but hope we will use these characters in future events. A little disappointed the ComicCon folks are being utilized.

Love the Alien (wish he was voiced by “Bruce”, like in that one cut away, but I digress). Though gameplay-wise, I wish I had Predator instead. There’s so many ways to get Terror Dog Bones, but I only have Quagmire getting me Banshee Tears.

I love my Woody Alien but I still prefer the Predator character… he is just so adorable with his little talking skulls 🙂

First time I ever spent money on clams to just top enough I’d collected and buy this. I couldn’t resist! Been marathon in the films lately it’s well timed. And his animations are fantastic! Who knew it could be so adorable.

Kinda surprised there is not an Alien vs Predator questline if you have them both.
One thing, related, that bothers me… an unsolved mystery if you want… why is the Predator Ship a decoration, but the Nostromo a building? Lack of consistency is driving my OCD insane. :p

An Alien vs Predator questline would be awesome – as would an outdoor Alien vs Predator task! I like how TinyCo have added an outdoor Slutty Meg/Chris task to tie back to the episode she features in so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that TinyCo will retrospectively add a joint task for Alien and Predator – as a bonus to TinyCo it would probably encourage a lot of people to buy both if they’ve only bought one of them. I already own them both, I couldn’t resist!
