During phase 1 of the event several questlines will popup in order to better prepare our Tiny Quahogians for the holiday ahead! Working your way through these questlines will help you earn additional Valentines to unlock more content from the store.

Once you’ve completed the Beautiful People questline you’ll get a clam offer that pops up…
So if you’re planning on buying clams during the event…it’s a good time to do it once this pops up.
Note: if you purchased clams during the event, but did so before this pops up you can try contacting TinyCo to see if they’ll still give you the Valentine Card bonus. No guarantee they will though, but it’s worth a shot.
Once you’ve completed all of the questlines you’ll get another quest that pops up, basically reminding you to continue earning Valentines…

And that completes all of the main Valentine’s Day Questlines! Remember, you will need to complete The Beautiful People questline in order to move onto Phase 2 when it hits on Thursday.

I was wondering if there will be more buildings, or items to buy with cards when the next part unlocks? I have almost 3000 saved, have everything, except Glenda. I forgot to include handsome Peter as one of the characters I already unlocked too. 🙂

I’m glad that it’s not as hard to get items for characters during the event. I got Ida with 2 and 1/2 days left on her timer. I got all of the rare items first. I need 2 items to unlock Glenda. Have 240 hates, hopefully ready for the insane asylum. I doubt it’s that much more for it. The box of girlfriends was only 100 hates, while Koolaid man’s gf was 200 hearts. I have all 3 dating prizes. I’m just about ready for the next part. The only thing I don’t like is shooing the pda. The characters get in the way, and now there’s perfume sprayers in the way too. And sometimes other pda get in the way of the pda you’re trying to tap, which sometimes gives one you don’t want. I’m happy with mostly everything else. Hopefully other characters won’t be as difficult to get after the event is over. The last 3 brought back ones were impossible, and the things we purchased to try for the characters, like the pyramid, vanished when it expired. I didn’t like that much.

We need more ways to get Valentines other than buying buildings with clams. I got the Tunnel of Love to get Ida, but still need 500 for handsome Peter and another 400 for the Beautiful People Club.

Handbag tasks are a joke, not enough punters to gather in the time frame. Also, Herbert keeps dropping bloody bottles. Poorly planned out for a “timed” challenge. Tiny Co asleep at the wheel 😦

No kidding! I have 2 days and 22 hours left and only have 5 handbags. I religiously task both Herbert and Jerome for these and Herbert ALWAYS drops beer bottles. In order for this to work out; I must not sleep and Jerome must always pay out a handbag and we all know that this uncommon item seems like a rare drop.
Note to Herbert – Stop with the beer bottles; it’s getting ridiculous.

That’s on me…sorry so focused on other stuff completely slipped my mind that Ollie doesn’t have the event details (like he did at Christmas).
Right now it says Cheryl and Cupid. But remember, TinyCo can change it at anytime, which is why we’re not doing a post on it. We won’t post on it until it’s actually live in the game. Right now it’s just word speculation.

I’ve been collecting for Ida for a little more than 24 hours. I have 6 common ribbons, 7 rare hormone pills and ZERO uncommon handbags. What’s going on here? Sounds like the descriptions have been switched.

I’ve been working on getting Love since the beginning and have both Peter’s and Quagmire’s Love prizes. I’m glad that they are both buildings that give Valentines. I really want Hot Meg, so I’m going to get all Love probably. I was disappointed to learn that the hearts reset after each prize. I have over 100 right now. Just in case the next level is higher than we think, I’m going full Love so I hope it’s good!

Handbags are worrying me – Jerome doesn’t always drop one, and Herbert only ever drops Beer Bottles that I don’t actually need anymore.

I found a minor spoiler. If you want to know who’s coming in the next phases, you can visit a friend and tap the unrepaired benches near Ida. It will pop the name of the to-be guests.
I’ll admit, I had to google one name, but when I saw who it was and the episode they were in, I was like “this is gonna be sooooo cool!”

Well I hate Valentine’s Day, but I’m enjoying this event… And I’m happy that TinyCo has got the drop rates right for this event, I got handsome Peter and I think I am on track with Ida too! So it’s not taking too long, but you still have to check in several times a day, which is spot on 🙂 well done TinyCo!!!

okay so I’ve gotten all these quests completed, exception Handsome Peter will be made in another 5 minutes(had everything collected didn’t realize it til now lol) and I started repairing the work bench for Ida so that will be another 7 hours, I won both the Love prizes and i have had ALL buildings built so far including the Tunnel of Self-Love…
would it be pretty safe to start Ida’s timer then when I wake up in the morning and start my game??**…I have about 137 Valentines right now also..

Working on Ida but handbags are proving a problem as Herbert keeps dropping bottles instead, and the brewery won’t store to stop this happening. Could you guys suggest to Tinyco they change Herbert task for handbags or add a different character to help with the handbag collecting.

I know this not the right place but I am at wits end. I have been trying to contact TinyCo via the contact us option within my game as well as an email. Do they actually respond? Ever? I appreciate all that you guys do for this game and the TSTO but this is the first time I’ve had reason to comment. Any help would be appreciated.

What if someone bought a package of clams for $19.99 over the weekend, and now the special to get 2000 Valentines with clam purchase of $9.99 or more will be offered, will TinyCo honour the purchase, and give us the 2000 Valentine cards or just plain miss out?

Before for the buy clams get bonus items it always said get this amount or high. For the valentines it says for the $9.99 pack of clams. Will you still get the bonus if you buy a larger clam package as I would liked to get the next step up as to better value for the money

what’s suckier than that, is that the good prize for Quagmire helps with Ida, but the bad prize does SFA. That’s just bad design.

Hmm I’m at the 3rd heart collecting but everytime I get a couple it feels like the bar doesn’t move…is it slowed down because they haven’t revealed the 3rd item? Or is it suppose to be this slow to raise the bar any higher because it feels like I’ll have to swat over 100 couples o-o;;;

I must have horrible luck with Ida’s handbags. I have 7 of the pill bottles and only 1 handbag. Doesn’t help that Herbert’s task is the same for a beer bottle.

I’m concerned about tapping PDA couples. I have already gotten Quagmire and Peter’s prizes, but I am worried about collecting too many hearts and having no choice between the good and the bad when the next phase hits, however I don’t want to waste them if I need a ton of hearts to collect the next prize. Right now I’m at 60 hearts so I just keep letting the PDA couples timer run out instead of clicking. What would you advise?

Remember…after each prize the heart count resets. So once you claim prize 3 your heart count will reset to 0.

Unlocked Beautiful Peter, Ida, got the first two sets of prizes and used my first batch of clams to buy Arnie. I’m a sucker for premium characters, even though they rarely actually contribute after an event. Oh well 🙂 I’m ready for the third set of prizes to get announced so I can start catching PDA couples again. I’m afraid to start stashing either way in case I really want the other one.

I’m sure others have asked u already (sorry), but i wanted to know your opinion and what you’re doing. Should i collect love/hate even though we don’t know what the nXt prizes will be? Like stock on hate since the last 2 love prizes were good, I’m thinking the hate ones should i be better this turn around.

I honestly would suggest stopping with the heart collecting around 60-70 hearts and waiting to see what comes with the next phase…

Really glad that TinyCo responded to player feedback and added the animations to more clearly differentiate the Love vs. Hate couples. I still ended up de-roading my Quahog, though, because it was too tedious to hunt around the whole town for the couples and then have to follow them all over the place waiting for that animation. Definitely recommend doing this; it doesn’t take very long and is HIGHLY effective in reducing the time-to-collect the couples’ hearts.
Still really wish that the event-currency-earning tasks would float to the top of each character list, so I didn’t have to hunt for them every time one of them completes a task, but I’m sure they’ll implement that eventually, too–even if it’s on a future event.
Curiously, I remember reading that someone at TinyCo had put in significant effort on Beautiful Peter’s ass. Does he have a specific task which showcases this contribution?

I’m enjoying this event!!! I’m working on Ida now. I have completed the quest lines up to the clams offer. Collecting my cards and my Love hearts for this coming weeks’ challegne!

Thanks! Good to know. Just a question about the PDA couples: are they either “good” or “bad” or can they change? For ex: when they stop and fight, will they fight again the next time they stop and the next and the next, etc..? I am collecting hearts, so the question is, can all the PDA couples be cleared or will some remain, because they always drop broken hearts? Hope that made sense, I just don’t want to waste time following PDA couples around if they don’t drop the correct item and never will.

Nope, once they’re in the game it’s already predetermined if they’re love or hate. It won’t change in that 3 minute time period.

I have a question about the couples. I have already claimed the 2 available “love” prizes, and couples keep showing up, although there are no additional prizes available right now. I’ve been collecting only “love” hearts because I’m a sucker for romance and they just keep adding up. But now I’m realizing that I don’t know what the next prizes are! Are we going to have a way to change our commitment if I prefer the “hate” prize? Will I just automatically get the “love” prize because I have 100 hearts in storage? It’s a lovely dilemma to have… I’m just curious what to expect

We don’t know what the next prize level will be, honestly I suggest collecting a few broken hearts to get your count down to around 70 (1 broken heart cancels out 1 love heart). This way you can play it safe when the next batch of prizes come out

Does anyone else make strategic decisions about whether to send characters for items or Valentines? I only need one more Hot Wax and 2 more Lipo Machines for Handsome Peter. An example would be sending Jerome to get Valentine’s for 2 hours instead of a 6 hours chance for Hot Wax, because I have Lois for 6 hours for a chance of Hot Wax and also the Tunnel of Self-Love. Lois doesn’t have a task that will earn Valentines.
Handsome Peter is untimed, but Ida is timed. I’m thinking that I will use everything possible to get items for Ida, because she is times. When it comes to Handsome Peter we have some leeway to collect either items or Valentines for some characters. Anyone use certain strategies and why?

Your best bet is to create Handsome Peter first, since he has tasks that will help you unlock Ida. I’ve got more strategic details on it here

I started Ida right around the point you are at now and am about to finish her after 2 days. If you already have the tunnel built, go ahead and repair the bench and try to be done with Ida by Thursday. The Peter skin won’t be that useful as it is a 12-hour task to get the common war medals. The one that will probably hang you up is the uncommon handbags … only Jerome’s throw darts and Herbert’s peeping tom (both 6 hour tasks) are available unless you have the Founding Father skin. Also, build the outdoor gym. It is actually more useful than the Peter skin for obtaining Ida.

I don’t have Arnold yet, but one of my neighbors does and boy howdy does he have a TON of dialogue! By the sounds of it, it was created specifically for the game. The only one that I’m bummed about was his “Get to the Peter-copter.” Should’ve been more heavily influenced by Predator and exclamated “Get to da Petah-chopah!”.

question: with the bundle of love clams/valentines cards offer, does it only work (the part about getting the bonus valentines cards) for the $ 9.99 deal? i ask because i’m gonna buy clams here in a little while but am intending to buy a bigger clams pack than the $ 9.99 1. i don’t wanna miss out on those extra cards.

Yay, I think I just got the record for clearing all red hearts before the timer ran out. I didn’t know they dropped and had 42 seconds left. I went to where I had them localized and knocked them all out in 8-10 seconds without tapping a purple heart.
