–WHAT THE DEUCE….Really, a WEEK extension? I know it’s necessary for some players that had issues getting into their games…but I’m just so ready for the Enterprise to get the heck outta Quahog!

Thumbs up to bunny. What a champion. Info info info. You go girl. Without you this would be a capital wtd. On another topic. Why has my xp maxed out? It seems a bit pointless that game xp can be maxed. I work hard to earn xp, but for what??? Never bought clams. Don’t want to. The game is very playable without them. Sure it makes it more of a challenge, so please stop complaining about the tasks if you are to tight to buy clams. The challenges are obviously designed to entice you to purchase items, (using clams) that make the challenge appear easier or achievable. You can’t win them all, especially the impossible ones. So stop whining and play more. Tiny co deserves commendation on a wonderful effort. Keeping up with 10 million plus downloads. Well done great game. Bunny is amazing and so is this site.

How come TinyCo is just not replying to my messages???? What the flipping deuce!? I have sent them 5 in game messages (all related to the same topic) over the course of almost a month. And nothing. Whereas I read here that lots of people get a reply in a few days. I don’t get it and it’s not fair! (pose like a two year old banging fists on the floor and screaming)

So obviously TC doesn’t really care about their player base. We just end a really grindy event that had horrible drop rates to start with on items and people were upset and started getting frustrated. So they adjusted the rates a bit, but in my mind still not enough. (No Kirk for me TYVM. Even though I check in every 2 hours while awake) Then again they introduce an event here that is basically the same grind. 8 hour tasks for 3 characters/buildings listed as “uncommon”. With the drops I am getting I’d say it is uncommonly rare.
It used to be achievable with events as a freemium player who spends clams occasionally, but only on items I wanted, not necessarily ones I felt I needed to beat an event, I could check in every 2 hours and get everything I wanted. I usually it was the last day or two so I didn’t get to enjoy the quest lines, but I still got the item/skin/character.
Is it going to be the norm now that people have to set their alarm to wake up at night or early AM? How is that fun? Sounds like a job to me which I already have. If that’s how freemium players have to beat events then no thanks. I’m already shifting over to a more donut-centric theme.

I was so disappointed by the last Star Trek event. I probably spent $30+ on useless premium characters. I didn’t even come close to winning Kirk despite very regular grinding away. I’ve decided not to spend another penny on this app (unless they do something amazing at Halloween or introduce a celebrity that I adore). The premium stuff is just not worth it. The game has turned into a giant cash grab. Plus there isn’t even decent land to display all the junk we’ve been dumb enough to buy.

Um okay….I was working on gold suit Peter and now the gold suit has disappeared from Al’s. I still have the quest to make the gold suit, but no gold suit…what the deuce??

What the flaming deuce…. why do we keeping getting more characters with totally incomplete task sets. Having Vinny was bad enough with only really having a 6hr max task since Chris is usually elsewhere. Now we have Crusher with only a 12hr, Guinan with a 16hr and I’m sure there are others. I could teal with the 20hour ones just. But why can’t everyone have a task in the main hour brackets: 1, 4, 8, 12 and 24.
The same applies to the extra costumes, but it’s not as bad. Though I get sick of having to use boring skins because they don’t have a suitable task time! And I know Peter’s the main character, but now that he has 11ty billion skins, it’s so slow to scroll through them all.
Then there’s the whack of people like Freddy, two 6 hour tasks, but one earns an extra 3rd (or so) than the other!
And then the there’s the issue of trying to get a dozen characters out of storage… such a slow process
And finally, why don’t all characters go up to the same level? Randomly some are 15, some are 25.
Ahhhh… why can’t someone THINK about the user interface before doing things!!!!!!!!!

I kinda miss traveling to the enterprise everytime i play. Ever since that event ended i feel like my game has no point. Would b nice if they just left it there, kinda like the krustyland thing in the simpsons game.

I find it amusing that you can look at the current mini event as TinyCo expressing their feelings for their customers by flooding them with bird droppings.
On a serious note, to go from an extra grinding event that lasted almost 2 months, to another one the day after it ends, is an interesting study in psychological testing. I guess they want to keep people in “grind” mode, as they probably get more clams from people acting with a sense of urgency.

I have already decided to stop grinding. I bought the cabin and the sanctuary, as well as the geyser and picnic table, because I had a lot of coins and I liked those decorations, but I refuse to spend clams at this point unless it is something that really makes me happy, like the Stew-E.
I slept all night, and since it doesn’t take any characters away from my questing for the blimp. I am curious as to how close I can get to completing, even though I don’t care if I get another skin or not! *chuckle*

I just got all the marching band members for the brewery. I most likely will be putting them in storage after I am done with that questline. If my high school marching band was that far out of step, we would have had HOURS of extra training! Lol

I contacted TinyCo about the lack of Blue bird drops ( I have seen 2 since the event started) and they said they had no plans on increasing the drop rates. If this is the case then I am not going to hold my breath for the next event.

What the deuce is going on with the dropping rate of the birds??? Almost nothing missed, I still have only 3 (!) Blue birds. 3. Exactly 3. I even set an alarm in the night not to miss one of the 4 hrs chances. And only to find all three of them, lois, chris and the cabin, not dropping a darned thing… (sorry for my bad English, it’s not my mother tongue.) This is depressing me. A lot.

I agree with the others. The bird drop rate is ridiculous. There is going to be no way to complete this task on time if nothing changes. I started playing immediately and bought both buildings. Yellow birds are easy….the rest…just not dropping at a percentage that makes in mathematically possible to complete the mission. Takes any hope out of the Ba ba ba bird…

My kid was playing an “anonymous” account and could not connect to app store they said do factory reset and everything is gone. Anyway to get that game back???? He worked hard for his stuff and now he’s crying. So sad

You will need to contact TinyCo. If you by chance have information from the loading screen, like a screenshot, you can send them a copy of that too.

I’m with Lynne. Trying to complete this Peter Bird quest isn’t going to happen at this rate. The yellow birds are dropping fine, and I don’t think I’ll have a problem getting all those that I need. But I’ve been checking in every two hours since the event started and I’m still only at
3 of 20 blue birds,
7 of 25 pink birds and
11 of 30 green birds!
And with only 3 1/2 days to go? They need to pick up the drop rate or significantly drop the requirements please!

With the new quest, I am trying to collect birds. Why is Glenn Quagmire giving bottle caps? The brewery has nothing left for me to collect and just takes up space.

The drop rate for the birds is not happening only 1 blue bird,3pink birds n 6 green birds. I have sent all my characters several times and nada some jobs take 12hrs at this rate for instance if i send evey character 2x a day bruce herbert n mort times 3 day left even if they would drop every time it would only give me 18 green birds and there common

WTD – why do I need to build yet another chumba wumba? My brewery was completed before the Star Trek event started, and now it appears I need to build another chumba wumba. What happened with the code to revert back this badly? I’ve contacted them to find out. I just hope they can fix it – otherwise I’ll be spending literally months to get materials again to complete one of my least favorite quests!

If you tap on the items in the Brewery and their information “i” you will see many have a “limit”. You are not completely done until all items are to their “limit”

They are seriously taking all of our hard-earned crystals and dark matter today without giving us any way to use it first? I’m really disappointed that there isn’t some kind of trade-out so you can turn them into dilithium.

how the heck can i get enough crystals to finish getting all the charactors? before i figured out needing them, i bought a bunch of the boxes…. i need 1000 more for Data, 8000 for Picard. how can they do this????

Getting Dilithium was cake, I just sent Lois to the Borg every waking hour and got that 500 and 5 clams to drop quite frequently. My beef is with Borg Bertram. having to wait 28 hours for that last tier reset was a bunch of Oscar Mayer, and it left my freemium account lacking a Kirk and Joe Pike, WTD. There was no way mathematically to get around this hurdle as a freemium player. That extra week didn’t help, but at least I was able to complete all the quests on the premium one because of the extra time. Can we send everyone at Tiny Co to a pre algebra class? I’m taking donations…

WTD? Is the server down? I’m at a critical timing juncture with Bertram to get 50 DM so I can get Uhura, and I can’t connect! If I don’t connect soon, I’ll have to burn through gobs and gobs of clams to start Bertram over from scratch… Oh the agony…

Not exactly Star Trek related but What the Deuce with Kool-Aid Man’s 750 Clam price? Is there something special or magical he does for the game or major unlocks (besides the few decos) that justifies having him? I’m a completionist but at 750 I may have to draw the line. Is there ever discounts?

He was a pain in the…. to unlock the first time. A lot of us spent days and Lots of Clams to get him that first go round. So I think their thought on cost had to do with his buy out price then and factoring in time spent. Just like Data now. To buy him out was 1400+ Clams. So if someone spent that and a bit later he was offered for like 50 Clams, players would be in an uproar. Does that kinda help?

I’m running out of space on my phone, and I come to find out that this game is taking up a whopping 3GB of space (I only have 16GB built in, so this is a significant percentage). I snooped around and saw thousands of 4MB files that I can’t imagine getting used again (comicon, xmas, halloween, etc). Will it break anything if I delete them? Better yet, can tinyco run an update that will clear out all the old crud safely?

You can clear cache and data, but a lot of those coded files run double duty. Like some of the actions are reused. The Characters are still in the game. The buildings. Etc. This game as well as the other we write on will have a HIGH amount of space needed to function. 2-3GB at a time. It’s why I try to relay to keep those towns not so full, good strong signal, nothing else running, etc. These types of games and especially these high action events suck the memory life out of our devices. I know that TinyCo tries to do things to combat it like “turning down” the visual graphics on some things. Not too many outside actions. Etc.

Was just reading this thinking about what would be the sacrifice if they hosted most of the content. Sure bandwidth would be higher for the players but taking up such colossal amount of memory is just unheard of in the age of cloud computing. Not sure about everyone else but I spend most of my time on wi-fi or in a wi-fi area and hardly come close to hitting any data cap (currently have 6gb through Verizon but barely use 2gb/mo.). With less data being needed for our current sparsely populated towns, would seem like a good choice for players; albeit more expensive for them. Just a thought.

I hope they find a better way. EA I see the same too. MASSIVE files. My poor devices. I have 120+GB to run these games but unfortunately… most the memory is pulled right from the main device, so the device itself needs 16GB or higher internally to keep the games stable (as usually 8GB or more is already taken by “needed programs/features” from the Manufacturer of the device)
I think of similar for us and our sites. It will cost a LOT to have our own server. Most others we crash. Some couldn’t even keep our sites stable for more than 5 mins at a time with out shutting down. Dang our first world problems and wanting it all in a lil space. 😉

So while I appreciate TC extending the event I still don’t think I’ll get Kirk. I have 92 DM right now. I have Geordi, Piccard, Stewie and Chris all unlocked, but I can’t beat the last iteration of Bertram. Plus it takes so long to reset after the 2nd to last fight. I always make sure I have people hitting him while he’s stunned so as soon as he gets back up I can blast him and resend them (essentially free hits) but still no luck.
I refuse to wake up in the middle of the night to attack him and I think this is where I loose out. Sorry, but these games should be fun. Not a job. I go to bed pretty late (11-11:30). I’m not staying up until 1 AM or waking up in the middle of the night to play. It’s ridiculous that a mechanic is in place that requires this. People say they enjoy a challenge. It’s not a challenge. A challenge usually means skill is involved. It’s dumb luck or tiring mechanics that require you to set an alarm. An alarm for a game. It sounds insane even saying it. I mean if people are willing to do it then great. More power to you. It’s your time to spend so do as you please. I’ve got young kids that sleep through the night (thankfully), a full time job and a life. I use these games as a distraction for a bit to veg out. I’ll check every 2 hours or so when I’m awake. It’s easy to do in today’s day and age with iPhones, etc. Past events I had no problem completing all the tasks. ComicCon was my favorite. Christmas was good up until the Yeti which had a similar chore and no Hey-Zeus for me.
Secondly I bought Spock and what a bust. The icon showed it helped all those people I was behind on, but not which item it helped with. I bought him and guess what. It was all the easy items to obtain. Helped with Data a bit I guess, but I felt like I was robbed. Also no Bertram help. Live long and TinyCo prosper I guess.

Very angry at the game today. Gained enough d to get Kirk, entered the shop, saw the d and green cubes and just pressed to buy. It was Data’s Chip Building. The confirm purchase button came up, so I clicked the big X on the top right to cancel… AND IT PURCHASED AND I LOST FIFTEEN GREEN CUBES! Now not only do I have to make up 3 cubes to get Kirk, I have NO CHANCE to get Uhura. I wrote TinyCo, but with the speed that they respond to texts, I expect to hear back from them next week, when it’s too late to deal with this.

Awesome…so I created Vulcan quagmire and talosian stewie just up and disappeared from the replicator… this will likely be the last time I play this game as it is constantly having crash issues and so much seems to cost real money. I did somewhat enjoy this event and it had got me back to playing this game again on a regular basis (had almost stopped playing)… but I think this may be the straw that broke my back…which is pretty sad considering I’ve been a regular player since the game has released…

FYI… that is NOT a glitch. It is a fail safe that has been in the game since Comic Con Event. I have actually written on this function many many times. Read more about it in one of the many posts below….

Ok, my WTD is how come Bunny won’t stop following me? I’m scared to take a shower because I know she will be hiding behind the towel rack. Every time I get in my care I find little post it notes saying “I see you handsome.” Even when I go to the store I could swear I see her disappear behind stacks of toilet paper or pyramids of fruit. The other night I heard a noise and found her under my bed. Chased her out with a broom only to wake up later with her sitting in a chair watching me sleep. It really gave me the heebee jeebies. So come on Bunny, WTD?

120 phaser energy on Borg cubes before the update 3 cube drops. I had saved up all event long and figured I needed 20 for Uhura. Total waste. I still need 13 more in two days. This won’t end well.

Are they limiting the tribbles now? If I’m lucky I may get 10-12 at a time and used to remember at least 25-30. What the deuce?

That took effect about 2 weeks ago. Still only about 5 show up at a time. They spawn less, but the payout is doubled. I think its too help with a memory overload on devices.

I’m in the same boat. Have tons of everything but the Synthesizer Ore have been a thorn in my side the entire event. I hate to say this but I’ll never make enough for Uhura. I rarely give up but I just don’t see it being possible. Did you hear that noise? It was the sound of my little heart breaking.

Why is the Anti Software drop rate so effin low? I have 19/28 that I need for Data, and between Herbert, Peter, and Crusher I get maybe 1 software every 6-8 hours, if that. At this rate I doubt I’ll unlock Data before the event if over without spending clams on him T_T

I want to throw things every time my character levels up! I hate getting ripped out of things robe taken to a screen that needs to be clicked off in order to return to game play. I wish there was a setting that allowed you to simply see a “leveled up” icon in the top corner, which you could click if you wanted details on new tasks, etc. it’s a petty complaint, but c’mon, what the deuce?!

I have managed to get all characters and skins within the star trek event (having spent a fair few clams which is my choice so thats cool), except borg conseula skin as i cant justify a 75 clam a pop lottery to win it. Kind of grates knowing im missing that one costume lol, ive contacted tiny co to see if they plan to make it easier to win before the event finishes you never know.

I have no idea what legalities were faced by TinyCo in regards to using Montalban (Khan) and Doohan’s (Scotty) voices from previous work. The same issue would be faced if they were to bring Kelley (McCoy) into the game. I do, however, have an issue with the voices being so poor. The actors they got sound NOTHING like either character, and it takes me out of the game a little. I would almost prefer them to be non-voiced.
Any thoughts on whether we’ll see another Star Trek event? They made no use of Takei, Koenig, or Wheaton (unless they drop something more on us last minute), and there are still plenty of characters from DS9 and Voyager (Visitor makes frequent appearances in the credits, so it’s unlikely she’d have a problem with it).
Lastly, did you guys ever get an answer as to the crudity of the Enterprise deco? I’ve taken it out of my town because it’s an eyesore.

The main person I want to ask on the Enterprise will get back in today from vacation, so I will wait to see what they say and update once I hear more. In the past when we saw it… it was due to the game was already being pushed on memory drain and they waited til the Event was over to put it into full graphics. I am going to see if this is the same.
