Looks like TinyCo wants to offer a lil fun Mini-Event for our games starting this weekend. This will be a quick lil one. Just short of a week. Why? Peter of course! Doesn’t this lil world revolve around him?
You will have til Thursday, May 14th to finish.
Just what is this lil Mini-Event all about? Well… haven’t YOU heard? It was my understanding EVERYONE heard…
BIRD IS THE WORD!!! Ba ba ba ba ba ba Bird Bird Bird….
Once you complete the Naughty By Nature Pt 1, and additional task pops up (at least in my game it did). It triggers a 3 DAY TIMER!!! If you get all 3 Animals, you will get “Bear Man” for Free. (See bottom of post.)
Peter, gaining all his knowledge from TV of course, has decided after watching an Episode of a certain “Bear Man” that he needs a beard. Why not? Beards make you more majestic. Beards make you confident, right?
Peter will trigger the New Questline, Naughty by Nature. Along with a 2nd questline after Part 1 is triggered, Watching Birds.

Not impressed. Again, tight time frame, “ambitious” targets. Grind after grind after grind. This is not entertaining leasure any more. We do have lives, but if we want to enjoy them a bit, the targets will be hard or impossible to meet. Meh, very frustrating game lately.

Okay, now the green bird has been given a fourth option, a 6h task for Peter. Looks slightly better now.
Previously, the target of 30 required 100% drops for all three characters on 10 opportunities (2/day for Sun thru Thu). Players who sent off all characters on 24h jobs early Saturday due to the expectation of taking a weekend off after this long event and without any indication of another tight mini-event coming up, the playing time became so tight that even those 10 shots at 12h tasks were reduced to only 9, destroying any hope of even realistically being able to collect all stuff.
And again, this will be so tight that those lucky ones able to get the costume will not have enough time to enjoy a questline. Another poorly executed event, almost as bad as Telenovela Peter.
As someone else said in the comments during Telenovela Peter: Does anyone at TinyCo do basic math on time, targets and drop rates before releasing something? It doesn’t seem so.

I am sure they do some equations, but based on what I see, they are basing it on 24 hour schedules, because apparently none of the players of their game work, sleep, or have lives off the computer. It is one thing to set up a challenge, but another to make it impossible right out of the box.

I’ve been able to get the birds at my leisure. I just never sent Chris on his quest, so there’s no time limit bogging me down. My gripe as of now is no land to put anything on.

I’m liking it so far, but it seems to me that it is going to be nearly impossible to get Bird Beard Peter without paying for him. The green birds are gonna take 12 hours each to get and they are common, but not always. So I will need to luck out and all 3 characters will need to give me one and I can’t be late and have to check in exactly when the timer is up for the next 5 days to even hope to get lucky enough. Which is kinda stinky.

So I can use some Star Trek characters for this, is there a way I can use the rest of the characters for experience and coins? I can’t seem to figure it out

If your other Characters are free, you can send them anywhere you want. I usually send them on tasks that will fit my day, like if I am in the game every 4 hrs… I will set the rest to as close to 4 hrs or 8hrs as I can.

Is Turtle Reed Pond suppose to be that tiny? Its more like a puddle. I can see there’s a turtle on it to give scale, but it should be either 4×4 or 5×5.

I was actually glad the Star Trek Event was over, and now already another one? I was really looking forward to not constantly checking the game, but with the number of birds needed, it looks like we have to keep on going at the same rate. Frankly, I am just exhausted, I think I will sit this one out.

I like the bird beard costume, but I hate that you have to get 30 green birds. All those tasks take 12 hours, so that’s only 6 items per day using all three characters. To get 30, you’ll have to occupy them all for five days straight. I have other things I’d rather have my characters do in that time, unfortunately.
Basically, unless you want to use clams to pay for the ones you don’t have time to get, you need to start before midnight tonight (assuming the event ends at 11:59pm on Thursday…). And you need to be prepared to occupy Mort, Bruce, and Herbert with their respective tasks for a full five days. I think I’ll pass.

So, I’m getting an in-game “offer” to purchase Seven of Nine for the “discounted” price of 265 clams… which I’m pretty sure is not a discount.

I discovered this event today at work, and I think it’ll be impossible for me without spending clams. Just looking at the green birds, we need 30, only have 3 characters who can earn them, and each of them are 12 hour tasks (so a max of 2 birds per day per character). This means I can get up to 6 green birds each day, and I have until the 14th: 5 days. 5 days x 6 green birds (MAX) per day = 30 green birds, just barely hitting it in time (would that lock me out of quest progression too when the event ends?).
And that’s assuming it drops every time, which as a ‘common’ drop is fairly likely, but not definite. With that sort of time crunch, the green birds should have been an always drop, or at least offer a building/premium purchase to help collecting them.
I like the look of the costume, and reminding me of that episode makes me smile, but I don’t think they did the basic math before deciding on the requirement numbers/rarities. I see a tweaking or event extension in the near future.

It is really small, only 2×2… so try to check all over. Put your game into movement mode and see if you can locate it behind a building.

I dont think there is much time for error on green birds – 30 needed and only 3 x 12 hour tasks. Thats a chance of a maximum of 6 per day and we have 6 days so around 36 chances? I dont like the odds.

The math doesn’t add up for the 30 green birds. From today (the 9th) through the 14th, that’s less than 144 hours to get 30 birds. Only three characters have 12 hour tasks for the birds, so the birds have to drop literally almost every time to get the 30 mark. There should be either more tasks for the green birds or shorter times.

Word of warning…..try to have most of your characters free, including Star Trek ones. Also DO NOT collect coins from your buildings before starting this event. You’ll need to several times to advance.

I’m already loving this event! I want the little birds we r collecting for Beard Peter as animated decos! How awesome would it be to have a flock of those adorable little “buggers” flying around our Quahog’s?! Even not animated would be cool too – they r so cute, I want them lol. I’m excited to see what else comes up. So far the buildings amd decos both are great .. love them and love that they don’t take up a lot of space! My main reason for this lost though is I wanted to mention that it seems like TinyCo has listened to their players once again and it’s great to see some of the characters from the Star Trek Event being used in this event!! Love it!! And a bit off subject but also very cool that the coin drop amount of some of the Star Trek Characters is amazing! Work play Klingon Hold’em 1hr 150 coins!!! Another one has a great 2 hr one, and others have increased ones too 😀 very awesome move TinyCo. Ppl complain about them but from what I see TinyCo truly does excel in customer service – I’ve never even heard of a company that takes advice from the players the way TinyCo does! I think they go above and beyond to appease the players and give us what we ask for, and i’m sure it takes a lot of very hard work and a lot of man hours to make it happen. I say kudos to TinyCo. And as always thank u for this site it is such a HUGE help, it’s always the first place I turn to when something isn’t working right in the game and I have never had to look any further u all r always already on top of it. And same thing with any time there’s something new in the game, soon as i see it’s a new event, I set the game aside, come to FGA to get the breakdown of it 😀u r all very appreciated. (Sry for long lost, i didn’t mean to ramble on so long)

Wow they quickly made a new mini event in wait for the new one. Yay. Something to do. So when’s the new district coming? Oh yeah, btw, when the popup showed up for this mini event, the quahog theater building from district reappeared in the shop eventhough I already bought it. I don’t know if that’s a thing, or if it was already there to begin with.

You gals are lucky you have taken the weekend off after this event dropped. Exactly 30 chances at the 30 green birds and 45 chances for the 25 purple birds in a “rare” drop assuming you can generate three chances per day for all three 8-hour tasks before the deadline. Sharpen the pitchforks!! I would like to purchase a time calculator for the person at TinyCo who establishes these numbers. I just want a puncher’s chance at these events and not be out of the running on the second day because of a missed or empty drop.

And just in case you do look in on this, I am a bit worried about the green birds. 30 needed, common (but not always), 12 hour tasks by 3 people, that means you need a minimum of 5 days, which is exactly as much time as there is before it ends. If even one fails to drop, you’re screwed.

I like the fact that Star Trek characters can help, finally event characters have a use after their event! I would have been tempted by the special deal, but I think that all of that for a decoration isn’t worth it, especially as I’m not too keen on it. Maybe if it was a character ormskin that I liked. Oh well, I like that they keep giving us these little filler things. Now I just need to be able to unlock more land!

I was given a “take it or leave it”/”last chance” offer to get Seven of Nine at a “discount”. The price was 265 clams, which, if I remember correctly, means I was offered an amazing discount of 0%. It was a popup with two buttons: “yes” and “no”. I chose “no”. I didn’t take a screenshot, sorry.

Almost 200 clams for 4 deco’s is a little expensive I think, so I will skip that. But the bird sanctuary looks cool and I really want bird beard Peter 🙂

If we learned anything from Star Trek event, common does not mean always. Two fails/misses for green birds, you’re done!

Hmmm. 30 green birds required for the outfit, 3 character tasks to get them (all 12 hour jobs), 5 days to do it. So you need to get a bird from every job (not guaranteed) and can’t miss one out (or be late starting them).
Seems like you’re unlikely to get the outfit without spending some clams…

Maybe it’s a bit early to be crying “What the Deuce.” But the Green Birds seem to be the biggest concern. There are 3 different tasks which drop them at a “Common” rate. Each of those tasks is 12 hours long. So, assuming they don’t end this until Midnight on Thursday, that means that a player who checks in every 12 hours will have exactly 33 chances to earn 30 Green Birds. I don’t like those odds. Maybe if they were “Always” drops, then I could see it. But all it takes is for 4 attempts to fail to produce a Green Bird and you’re done, unless you spend clams.
The other birds seem more achievable to me.

There’s a potential problem for unlocking bird beard Peter, you need 30 green birds, with 3 characters running 12 hour tasks to earn them. That’s a possible 36 green birds by the end date, however as it’s a common drop, not always, doesn’t give you much leeway. If you do manage to get lucky and earn all 30 on the first try this just leaves 1 day in the event to complete the quest line by Thursday. Not done the math for the other birds yet but it may be cutting it close.

Y’all can’t catch a break at all I believe haaha I think this new mini-event looks cute haha I love that episode where Peter raises those 3 baby birds in his beard LMAO i think it’s hilarious and I’m ALWAYS laughing when I get to watch it. Also, i’m 100% HOPING that Peter’s new skin will be EASY to collect all those birds and to unlock him to say the least cause seems to me that, THATmany birds it might even take longer than 6 days!!!…owp wait there I go complaining and jumping to ridiculous conclusions about the new content already when I’m just on Parts 1 on the very first 2 questlines bahahaa!!! 😉

Loving it so far! But 2 off track suggestions that I’ve been meaning to say for a while now. I wish in every set of events there would be stuff that can be added to move on the streets examples-Cars, people, animals, & or anything cool…to buy with coins & not with just claims. Now that would be SO awesome! And the 2 suggestion that I have is to be able to send our own stuff we have, to our neighbors so they can have it. I’ve played other games like FarmVille on Facebook that we can send our own stuff we bought etec to our neighbors. That would be awesome as well! Hope my comment gets read. =)

I actually don’t like the bird beard thing, wasn’t fond of the episode either. The only Peter costumes I like are his normal clothes and his Star Fleet uniform. The rest are just worth having for the tasks they can perform. I do like the birdies and the new buildings. So even though I’m diligently collecting birdies, I won’t be crushed if I don’t collect them all in time. Someone suggested having the birdies as moving decos (okay, flying decos) like the tribbles. Yes!

LOL, I’ll never get to unlock Stewie at this pace, it seems I have to stop collecting stuff for him once again… And I had just started clearing a block before it all started so my only worker will be on it for a very long time before I can start building something for this event.

That being said, I LOVE this character, and I was far from bored, but so far, creating the skin doesn’t look like it will take away from the characters I have gathering plutonium briefcases, or Stewie and Brian from when they are collected, so good to go!

This doesn’t seem possible, we only have 5 days, and we need 30 Green Birds that can only be gained from 3 characters with 12 hour tasks, that means unless they drop EVERYTIME, and you collect exactly every 12 hours, you won’t get enough of them.
