Hey there Pyromaniacs!
With this new Small Firefighters Event in our game, there are a lot of interesting elements going on. Some of which you may not quite be sure of what to do. Well we are here to help out as usual. In this post, we will be going over the basics of battling the Walking Fire Creatures.
There are 3 types of Walking Fire Creatures that you will see in this event. Two you will notice pretty quickly, the other will come a long a lil later in the questlines. Let’s take a look.
ANGRY FIRE CREATURE
This Red Orangey Angry Fire Creature will be wandering your sidewalks waiting for you to collect Materials so you can attack him. So what Firefighter do you need for this guy?
Fire Captain (Takes 2 Gas Cans 
and 4hrs to Train)
Once you have the Fire Captain done training in the Fire Academy, you just tap on any Angry Fire Creature. 
This will send the Fire Captain to do battle with the Angry Fire Creature. 
Once he is done and vanishes down the Fire Pole into the portal below, you will be awarded One Fire Axe.
Fire Axe: Can be used to unlock Sexy Firefighter Chris (7) and the Third Fire Pole at the Fire Academy (10).
Once you have collected all the Fire Axes you need, the Creature will in turn begin to drop Coins instead. 
EXTREME FIRE CREATURE
This Icey Blue Extreme Fire Creature will be wandering your sidewalks waiting for you to collect Materials so you can attack him. So what Firefighter do you need for this guy?
Fire Chief (Requires 135 Clams ONE TIME to unlock him for all poles, Takes 2 Gas Cans and 4hrs to Train)
Once you have the Fire Chief done training in the Fire Academy, you just tap on any Angry Fire Creature. 
This will send the Fire Chief to do battle with the Extreme Fire Creature. 
Once he is done and vanishes down the Fire Pole into the portal below, you will be awarded One Fire Chief Hat. 
Fire Chief Hat: Can be used on the Fire Chief Hat Mystery Box (6)
FYI… Once you have collected enough Fire Chief Hats to open on box, the Extreme Fire Creature will drop coins until you use the 6 to open one Mystery Box. Once you open one, they will go back to dropping Fire Chief Hats again.
CRAZED FIRE CREATURE (These appear after Fire in the Hole Pt. 7)
This Purpley Crazed Fire Creature will be wandering your sidewalks waiting for you to collect Materials so you can attack him. So what Firefighter do you need for this guy?
TWO Fire Captains (Takes 2 Gas Cans and 4hrs each to Train)
Once you have the TWO Fire Captains done training in the Fire Academy, you just tap on any Crazed Fire Creature. 
This will send both of the Fire Captains to do battle with the Crazed Fire Creature. One will wait while the first one does battle, once done the second Fire Captain will move over to start his battle with Crazed Fire Creature. 
Once both are completely done and vanish down the Fire Pole into the portal below, you will be awarded One Jaws of Life.
Jaws of Life: Can be used for the Jaws of Life Mystery Box (6)
FYI… Once you have collected enough Jaws of Life to open on box, the Crazed Fire Creature will drop coins until you use the 6 to open one Mystery Box. Once you open a Mystery Box the Crazed Fire Creature will start dropping Jaws of Life again.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If you tap on the small “i” in the pop up boxes for the Captain and the Chief, you will see that the Walking Fire Creatures will come into play for the future too. So you may want to stock up on Gas Cans so you can keep training the Captain and Chief.

There you have it. The 3 Fire Creatures wandering our lil Quahogs for the Firefighters Event and how to battle them.

I’m not getting any quest prompts at all. I have brian and chris. Did up to a herbert and chris quest and that’s it. uninstall/reinstall did nothing. Not sure what to do at this point.

There is no more… yet. This is a mini event. Slow paced. Take your time kind of event. More is coming. That all was only week one content. We still have week 2. Hopefully hitting as early as tonight if not tomorrow night. 😉

My game seems to be glitching at the moment. I finally got my 6 jaws of life. In the shopping cart, I clicked on mystery box and up popped the purchase window. I then clicked the “prizes” tab, but it was like the window that popped up was invisible. I saw nothing pop up, but could not scroll around my town. Then I hit my back arrow and was back to normal. Did this twice with same results. Then decided to just buy the box and when I did that, everything seems to lock up again like there is another invisible window open. I get no prize, cant scroll the screen… it is not frozen as my characters are still roaming around the screen. Hitting back does not cure this, nor does force close. My game opens fine but is till just kind of locked. Anyone else experiencing this?

That is a new one. I just opened another in my game, got the golden fire hydrant. Try to go further on troubleshooting. Restart device. Double check app market to ensure no other updates left for app. If still issue after restart, you can try a full uninstall and contact them.

So I just went back into my game after like 5 force closes and restarts and unsuccessful attempts and bam… up popped the cat in the tree prize (lame). But hey, the games working normal now so maybe by tomorrow I can win the sweet fire fighting helicopter!!

It looks like they made it so the purple fire creatures only drop coins instead of jaws if life now 😦

Only when you hit 6. See the info on them right in this very post you’re commenting on. Once you use the 6. They drop again. 😉

In your writeup, you said they will then drop black hats. I believe you had a copy/paster error and meant purble guys will resume dropping jaws of life.

The two got swapped when being pulled over to the site. I thought it fixed them… apparently it still didnt. I tried… again… to fix it. I dont know why they swapped. But it is the same item it originally drops that it keeps dropping. Sorry for any confusion.
Regardless… the info is still the same. They don’t stay coins for good. Not for the hats and jaws of life.

Boo to money grabbing tinyco!! Without us players they would not have a game! And yes I do spend occasional clams, but clam heavy is an insult…. I still enjoy it but….. BOO !!!!!!👎

I’m down to just 1 orange fire creature, another has not spawned in over 12 hours. I still haven’t unlocked the 3rd fire pole as I was going for other things.

I cant seem to build up any amount of the Gas Cans from Firefighters- it requires 2 to train each firefighter, then once trained the task only drops one Gas Can? How can i collect the 20 needed for Fire fighter Chris costume, what am i doing wrong here?

Just keep working at it. It will take time, but after a while you will have lots of Fire Extinguishers and several opportunities to Train Firefighters and get more Gas Cans. Focus on getting what you can. Every player will vary depending on how often they play and send Firefighters.

I have a problem.I spent 150 clams on a firefighter pole when the game was blocked on my smartphone. I was pressing angerly on the phone, because it was the third time it blocked in 10 minutes, and when it began again I had 150 clam less and a firepole more. What are the possibilities they will refund my clams( I already contacted them, but not response yet)?

That is completely up to them. It varies by each situation. Just give them time to respond (usually takes a few days depending how busy they are).

I wrote to tinyco yesterday to let them know that I thought it was a rip off making us pay for FF Brian. I already paid to unlock all the poles thinking this would help in getting all 3 costumes for this event. If I had known I was going to have to pay for a costume then I wouldn’t of unlocked the rest of the poles. Tinyco seem to be all about the MONEY….

I’ve bought everything there is in the game until today. I just can’t justify myself spending another extraordinary amount of clams just to unlock a costume. Almost all the characters I have are in the inventory since they have zero, zip, nada usefulness after the event they came with. I consider myself a collector and completeist but enough is enough.

Why is fire dog Brian only for clams? Is the only way to unlock 4th pole going to be with clams?

So far one costume only for clams. Nine or ten free buildings. Six items in a freemium Mystery Box (same items can also be bought from a clams-dependent box – but there are no additional clams-only decos in it). As far as I can see only one building costs clams.
I may have to eat my words tomorrow – but how can you say this first week the event is premium-heavy???

Did anyone else’s game unlock Firedog Brian? I’m a little confused because the Fire Chief infographic above clearly indicates that FDBrian can be obtained by collecting resources. But currently, in my game, the only option I have to unlocking the costume is to pay with Clams.
Is it because I haven’t completed Fire in the Hole Pt.7 yet and I don’t have the Purple Fire Creatures?

Fure Dog Brian has appeared in my game but unless it is a glitch seems to be only available for 210 clams. Can you confirm if he is a clam buy or will be be collecting stuff for him.

Firedog Brian has appeared in my Al’s to buy outright for 210 clams. There are no resources to collect. I assume this may be a mistake? As characters to buy outright for clams usually appear in the main menu? It seems a rather odd amount. As premium characters are usually a round figure
