Hey there Pyromaniacs!
With this new Small Firefighters Event in our game, there are a lot of interesting elements going on. Some of which you may not quite be sure of what to do. Well we are here to help out as usual. In this post, we will be going over the basics of battling the Walking Fire Creatures.
There are 3 types of Walking Fire Creatures that you will see in this event. Two you will notice pretty quickly, the other will come a long a lil later in the questlines. Let’s take a look.
ANGRY FIRE CREATURE
This Red Orangey Angry Fire Creature will be wandering your sidewalks waiting for you to collect Materials so you can attack him. So what Firefighter do you need for this guy?
Fire Captain (Takes 2 Gas Cans 
and 4hrs to Train)
Once you have the Fire Captain done training in the Fire Academy, you just tap on any Angry Fire Creature. 
This will send the Fire Captain to do battle with the Angry Fire Creature. 
Once he is done and vanishes down the Fire Pole into the portal below, you will be awarded One Fire Axe.
Fire Axe: Can be used to unlock Sexy Firefighter Chris (7) and the Third Fire Pole at the Fire Academy (10).
Once you have collected all the Fire Axes you need, the Creature will in turn begin to drop Coins instead. 
EXTREME FIRE CREATURE
This Icey Blue Extreme Fire Creature will be wandering your sidewalks waiting for you to collect Materials so you can attack him. So what Firefighter do you need for this guy?
Fire Chief (Requires 135 Clams ONE TIME to unlock him for all poles, Takes 2 Gas Cans and 4hrs to Train)
Once you have the Fire Chief done training in the Fire Academy, you just tap on any Angry Fire Creature. 
This will send the Fire Chief to do battle with the Extreme Fire Creature. 
Once he is done and vanishes down the Fire Pole into the portal below, you will be awarded One Fire Chief Hat. 
Fire Chief Hat: Can be used on the Fire Chief Hat Mystery Box (6)
FYI… Once you have collected enough Fire Chief Hats to open on box, the Extreme Fire Creature will drop coins until you use the 6 to open one Mystery Box. Once you open one, they will go back to dropping Fire Chief Hats again.
CRAZED FIRE CREATURE (These appear after Fire in the Hole Pt. 7)
This Purpley Crazed Fire Creature will be wandering your sidewalks waiting for you to collect Materials so you can attack him. So what Firefighter do you need for this guy?
TWO Fire Captains (Takes 2 Gas Cans and 4hrs each to Train)
Once you have the TWO Fire Captains done training in the Fire Academy, you just tap on any Crazed Fire Creature. 
This will send both of the Fire Captains to do battle with the Crazed Fire Creature. One will wait while the first one does battle, once done the second Fire Captain will move over to start his battle with Crazed Fire Creature. 
Once both are completely done and vanish down the Fire Pole into the portal below, you will be awarded One Jaws of Life.
Jaws of Life: Can be used for the Jaws of Life Mystery Box (6)
FYI… Once you have collected enough Jaws of Life to open on box, the Crazed Fire Creature will drop coins until you use the 6 to open one Mystery Box. Once you open a Mystery Box the Crazed Fire Creature will start dropping Jaws of Life again.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If you tap on the small “i” in the pop up boxes for the Captain and the Chief, you will see that the Walking Fire Creatures will come into play for the future too. So you may want to stock up on Gas Cans so you can keep training the Captain and Chief.

There you have it. The 3 Fire Creatures wandering our lil Quahogs for the Firefighters Event and how to battle them.

I just now received a notification to create Fire Dog Brian with the quest “Dog Day Afternoon Pt. 1”. However, when I click on him in Al’s, it gives no option to craft him. He is simply 210 clams. Not sure what to make of this…

Thanks Bunny! I feel guilty…I caved in and bought Firedog Brian. Just to darn cute to pass up! Besides that…he reminds me of a dog I had as a kid (one with many spots). Hopefully, Seamus won’t be premium.

I have ben trying to get on my game for about an hour now. I have tried uninstalling, force stopping, and clearing data to no avail. I am getting a game data error with two options: game message or game ok. The message sent me to my email to send a prepared message to Tinyco with details and device info. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Why does it show in the screenshot above that you will collect items to get Fire dog Brian, and all I see in my Quahog is the option to Buy Fire Dog Brian for 210 clams? What is the point of fighting the fire creatures if Fire dog Brian is Clams only purchase? Or am I getting an error in my game here?

I was just promted to unlock fire brian, but its not showing how to do so other than clams, it just says create, but no task to earn anything, no counts on axe, or anything. Anybody else?

Brian just got released, but he doesn’t have any items listed to unlock him. I’m guessing its because I don’t have Chris unlocked yet. I still need 1 more scope, which I won’t get for another 3 hours. 😦

Just got a task to unlock dog Brian but no tasks come up in the costume store – only buy for 210 clams. 😦

So I have the quest to unlock Firedog Brian, “Dogday Afternoon, Part 1”, but the only option is to buy clams–there are no items to get. Anyone else experiencing this?

So… Correct me if I’m wrong, but reading this, it says you collect enough fire chief hats and open the box, then the extreme fire creature will then drop jaws of life…. And when you collect enough jaws of life and open the box, the crazed fire creature will then drop the fire chief hats? Or is that a typo?

Fire Dog Brian is a 10 dollar skin, not winnable, only purchasable with clams. So not worth it to me. I will just keep smooshing brush fires and continue on with the brewery, as that was the one skin I wanted, but apparently not that much! *chuckle*

Honestly, I’m done. Having Fire Brian only available with clams is the final nail in the QFS coffin for me. As a mainly freemium player I have had Star Trek, beard Peter and now the Fire event be unplayable (or at least unenjoyable) as Tinyco move to a paid players only model. Thanks to the admins on here, you work so hard to keep everyone informed, it’s a massive help. But there’s a lot more fun to had elsewhere. Sayonara 😦

Just opened my game and saw that Fire Dog Brian is now in Al Harrington’s, cost to unlock is 210 Clams, with no options to earn items to get him. Another Premium costume for Brian. 😦

So Firedog Brian has appeared as a premium character (210 clams). What’s the story there? Will he still be unlockable by collecting stuff? And is that stuff exclusive to Fire Chiefs?
The game’s move to having more premium characters is disturbing. It was the odd character before but since Star Trek, TinyCo seems to have gotten a little greedy. I would be severely upset if I paid 210 clams for Brian only for him to be available with stuff later on.

Well so much for collecting materials for Brian and seamus. Brian has just been added to the game but he cost 210 clams as oppose to collecting stuff like the pop up in the game says. Won’t be paying for a skin. I would have been happy to slog it out collecting stuff but for now I’m done spending money on this.

Fire Dog Brian just appeared in my game, but the only way to acquire him is to buy him for 210 Claims? Hopefully, there is another way to acquire him. The skin is not worth 210 claims.

I think I really screwed up.. I uninstalled and reinstalled but now it’s starting the game from scratch as if I have never played 😢 I thought it would saved on the server or under my account like tapped out!? The error was a long one… All I recall is I think it said config error something about firemen… But I’ve been playing the firemen since it started…

If you saved it to an email or Facebook… it is saved under an account. You just have to get to the point of the Menu popping up in the new game, log back in, and LOAD your saved game.

Oh, firefighter Brian unlocked for me, but he’s a clam purchase. So sad, I really wanted him, but I’m not paying for a skin. Plus he’s 10 more clams than a normal character, at 210 clams.
I’m just 11 gas cans away from unlocking Sexy Chris and then I’ll get those crazy fire creatures in my town. But then I’ll need 9 more fire axes to unlock the third fire pole which will be annoying to get. Hopefully I’ll get them all before Thursday, since that’s when most updates hit.

Not really anything he is needed for outside the Hats. Both Mystery Boxes have same items. You can get Jaws of life, but it will take a lil more work.

Am I understanding correctly? You have to spend 135 clams to get the Fire Chief for a chance to get Fire Dog Brian? Up until now I had no desire to get a Fire Chief as the items in the mystery boxes will just go into inventory. Now I’m torn, Fire Dog Brian looks really cute but would I have time to gather all of the gas cans and do all of the battles in just a week (and with a 3 day holiday in the middle)? When I unlocked the new Chris skin it said that getting all 3 for this event would get you 25 clams so that would reduce the cost. I’m going to have to think about this one.

Fire dog Brian just went live for me. Kicked off with Chris to begin the questline for fire dog Brian. The outfit is available in Al’s, but no list of items to collect yet, just direct clam create. If it’s unintentional I may snag him up for a cheap clam buy.

I got a new Questline “Dog Day Afternoon Pt.1” which basically says get Firedog Brian, but in Harrington’s you can buy him for 210(!) clams and nothing to collect… I hope that is a glitch.
It is strange enough that you had to buy the Fire Chiefs to collect stuff for Brian … I hoped we can get him without clams 😦
