Hey there Pyromaniacs!
We are now into Week 2 of this Firefighters Event. As more and more of you are now to the point you may be unlocking the items in the Rupert Mystery Boxes, we wanted to give you a run down of just what those Jaws of Life & Fire Chief Hat Rupert Mystery Boxes will bring.
Reminder… THIS EVENT ENDS MAY 27th 3PM PDT!!!
The two Mystery Boxes are identical to what you will find inside. So the Jaws of Life & the Fire Chief Hat will both contain all the items listed below. We were able to confirm that once you earn an item, it seems to disappear from both boxes. Once all the items are obtained, no matter where you won it from, the two Mystery Boxes will completely vanish from your game.
This is a cool new way to run Mystery Boxes I really like. It gives a Premium Box option but also a way that Freemiums can access the content too with a lil more work put in.
HOW DO I GET JAWS OF LIFE AND FIRE CHIEF HATS?
Let’s first take a quick look at just how you can get the items to access the Mystery Boxes.
PREMIUM Way to access Fire Chief Hat Mystery Box
Fire Chiefs
- Unlock the Fire Chief in the Fire Academy for 135 Clams
- Train Fire Chief to Battle Extreme Fire Creatures
- Collect 6 Fire Chief Hats from 6 Fire Creature Battles
- Open Mystery Box
Fire Dog Brian
- Purchase Fire Dog Brian Costume from Al’s
- Send Fire Dog Brian on 12hr task
- Collect 6 Fire Chief Hats from 6 12hr tasks
- Open Mystery Box
FREEMIUM Way to access Jaws of Life Mystery Box
TWO Fire Captains
- Train TWO Fire Captains in the Fire Academy
- Battle Crazed Fire Creature
- Collect 6 Jaws of from 6 Fire Creature Battles
- Open Mystery Box
So the Premium Way will be a lil quicker and less needed as far as training and Gas Cans, but the fact a Freemium option is there too is pretty cool.

WARNING: I put this in other posts as well, but once you reach a total 6 of ANY of the two Mystery Box Materials… the Fire Creatures/Task will STOP dropping the Material and instead drop coins. In other words you can’t earn more than 6 at a time. So watch your counts. (Seamus will allow Jaws temporarily to 8 until you unlock him, then back to 6.)
You can see how many you have so far by going to the Menu Icon and tapping on the “i” in the corner to expand the information bar for each Mystery Box. You will see how many out of 6 you have there. 
MYSTERY BOX ITEMS
Now that we have all the basics out of the way, let’s take a look at the items inside both of these Mystery Boxes.
QUAHOG FIREBOAT (Decoration): Sits on a 4×6 base. Sprays water as it sits there. Once tapped it starts a water type show, spraying water all over in a routine way. Looks cool sitting by the shore.
HUNKA BURNIN LOVE (Building): Sits on a 5×5 base. Pays out $60 & 40XP every 12hrs. Tall Structure. It is not currently animated but the flames on it give the appearance it is on fire. Still deciding where to place this in my Quahog. I think next to Fire Island and some other decorations like it.
SEXY FIREMAN (Decoration): Sits on a 1×1 base. Stands in a pose while wiping his brow. Once tapped, he begins to flex in various poses. Then goes back to standing in a pose. He looks like he fits outside any fire station or Hunka Burnin Love.
FOREST FIRE COPTER (Decoration): Sits on a 3×6 base. Spins its blades as it sits in your town. When tapped, it flies up and hovers above, then drops water to down below it. Then lands again. Putting this in my “airport” area. 
24K GOLD FIRE HYDRANT (Decoration): Sits on a 1×1 base. Currently no animation at all. Probably will place this near my dog park and dog items.
CAT STUCK IN A TREE (Decoration): Sits on a 2×2 base. The Cat turns to look left and right while sitting in your Quahog. Once tapped, the Cat falls off the edge of the branch and dangles there a bit while kicking its legs. It then climbs back up on the branch and starts pacing left and right again. This fits in by the Dog Park or pretty much any house in Quahog.
There you have it. The six items you can win from the Mystery Boxes. None of them repeat at all. So you will only need six tries to get them all.

Man at least if I had to 6 pm I’d be able to at least get one prize from the box. If you play both tsto and this you gotta choose one more so over other. But got all skins for this except for brains as I earn clams don’t buy em. And I was 3 hrs off of getting a prize from prize box before event ends. So just wait till next one.
Anyone know if the tv watching for clams is event oriented or do we have that for a while as that will def help in earning the kool-aid man.

It is just a testing they are doing in the games right now. Only select players get it. Until they are sure it is functioning and working as intended, it will only be testing and not game wide. So make sure you let us and them know if you run into any issues on it. 😉

I was on vacation for the past 2 weeks and haven’t had a chance to participate in this event much.

You will have to play the questline a lil bit for them pop up. If I remember right, it was just a few tasks into the main questline.

I am extremely disappointed with TinyCo….I have sent numerous messages to them about my situation and haven’t gotten a single reply as to what is going on….i like the game, but their lack of assistance is seriously horrible

Give them 5 business days to respond, then contact them again. This week started with a holiday on Monday, so they have only been in since yesterday.

Really wanted the chopper and boat. I got the chopper on the first try! Might be able to try 2 more times the freemium way before the event ends, not spending clams on this one so I can stockpile for the next big event. Its cool to be able to get some premium Decos without “shelling” out money…lol

Same guy. You need 3 trained at same time. So 3 poles open. All with a Firefighter trained and ready to go.

Haven’t been able to open a mystery box yet. Just unlocked the 3rd pole today and concentrating on unlocking Seamus. Hoping I can earn enough to open a few boxes before the event is out.
How is your Mom doing Bunny? I hope she is doing better!

As far as the snail mail, the lady at the post office patched it up (covered up the “insufficient addy) and resent it. When and if it ever gets to you, its gonna be epic. Wow. SMH. Sorry Bunny. 😦

She can hardly use a simplistic phone. Games wouldn’t work for her. She keeps asking me how “the game you made” is doing. No matter how many times I tell her I just write about them. “All the work you do, must mean you make them”. Lol

Thanks. She’s all I got outside gramms. Everyone else is gone minus some siblings. So I do appreciate my time with them both. She’s 60. Gramms is almost 90.

And Bunny, I am sure when you were talking about the two ways of obtaining the mystery box items, you meant “freemium and premium”, not “premium and premium!” *grin* When I read that, I flashed back to Blues Brothers and the, “we have both kinds of music, country and western.”
And yes, I appreciate they are offering both ways of getting to the same content.
