Hey there Clammers!
It is that time of year when some of the many Characters/Costumes we have had a chance at getting over time are being brought back into our games for those that missed them or a chance at getting them again.
These will be a mix of “Earn Materials”, “Clam Buy” and “Clam Mystery Box” Characters/Costumes, so just keep an eye out for where the one is that you are interested in.

Best of 2015 Volume 1 Mystery Box: 125 Clams. Here is the list of Characters/Costumes you can get a “Chance” at in this Mystery Box.
***Keep in mind what you get will depend on who you already have live in your game as well as who you have already unlocked in the Districts. These are also a “Chance” Mystery Box, so your results will vary on what you get out of it. Of course the more you already have live in your game, the less you will have in the Mystery Box and a better chance at getting them. No repeats of course.***

As part of the Best Of 2015 Mini Event, you can also have the Chance to get Don Corleone. Per the information, if you get Greased Up Deaf Guy, Detective Scrotes, and Death’s Mom… you can get a chance to earn him. More information once I see it live in the game.
Since I already had the 3 Characters in my game, Peter triggered the Quest for it.

***I see others stating it is telling you to get him again. I have already messaged in to TinyCo, but you will need to message them too as he was in the TOP Leaderboard Prize awards from the Mobsters Event and they are the only ones that can verify placement of Players from the Leaderboards.
TinyCo did report back that they will work on the issue with those that won him showing him locked. So hang in there and I will update if I hear anything more back. Patch most likely tomorrow on it.
***UPDATE 1/8/16: In order to unlock Don Corleone, a trigger will hit to get the items needed for him with a 3 DAY TIMER! The timer task will NOT appear until you get the 3 Characters per Tinyco.

A few side notes I’m seeing…
Santa’s Workshop can’t be moved: They’re working on it. It’s not priority but will be patched.
Missing Clams?: Saw only a few comments that players lost clams when refreshed out of the Raid to the North Pole Event. If this happened to you write them ASAP. No reports yet.
Secret Spy Brian 24 Task took Clams: For those that the game DID charge Clams for running this 24hr task before the patch was put through, they will help fix it. I know some got an auto message about “Event items”… but no worries. Just make sure you in game message them and follow up while they get it corrected.
There you have it. A reintroduction of some of the Characters/Costumes from 2015. Hang tight, as TinyCo lists this as “Volume 1” it seems there may be more to come.

Nothing for us long time players to do during this event I guess. Nice little breather after that Christmas event. I hope they somehow bring back Sexy Stewie as he’s the only character/skin I am still missing. Must have them all!

I wish I had a few more spare clams for a mystery box hit, but I spent them all to get Spy Brian yesterday.

It’s weird… I log into my game, reload it likes it suggest to get rid of the Christmas stuff and now I somehow lost 100 clams. I was just thinking to myself yesterday, since I’m a freemium player, that I’m less than 20 clams short of getting clevand but because the event just ended I’m probably not going to get him before the sale ends if it ends with this event… next minute you know I log in today and my clams are gone. T_T I made a point not to buy anything with my clams this event because I really wanted clevand and it was all for nothing… worse 2016 surprise ever.

Also if I were you I would wait a little longer. It seems that there are repeated sales where Cleveland comes up costing 200 rather than 400 clams, so best wait for the next sale to hit the game before being annoyed afterwards 😉

The last sale on Cleveland was for Android only… Don’t know how often iPhone sales pop up. I was sure that Cleveland and his house would leave the shop just before I saved up the 400 clams, too, but got him in the Halloween event (and of course he spent all his time as a werewolf). So maybe he’s sticking around a while longer. He’s a regular and really should always be available. Now that his new wife and step kids arrived, the whole family can stay in Quahog! And be haunted by his ex. He’ll have to rent out the old house, though. I put the new one from Stoolbend across the street from it.

When I placed Don Corleon to start collecting for him and sent gudg, death’s mom and detective scrotes to work, each of them show their tasks are for a chance at Christmas items, not Don corleons…i messaged tiny Co from game too…

Even though it lists Christmas items, they still seem to count towards the Don. I collected a pair of green elf shoes from Det Scrotes, and it shows 1/4 collected of Fedoras.

The only thing in my mystery box was the one I really wanted… bad trip stewie! Got placed in a group of the richest players ever (apparently!) in Peterpalooza and got neither him nor starbright Peter 😥 even as a premium player I couldn’t get 1st and 2nd without paying at least £100, but was funny as in third place both times I was way above everyone else in my group :S horrible, horrible leaderboards, yuck! At least I was guaranteed him this time, so I spent the clams 😀

Same reason I missed star bright express Peter. Two people in my board kept rushing every hour, leap frogging each other. Had double what I had and I had double the person below me.
Got Stewie though with no problem.
Only characters I’m missing are star bright Peter and the elf. (Made it in top 400, but about half of what I needed for top 100)

I was flicking between 700s and 1000 during the last days of the raid. Will definitely get chuggs but not sure on the funland skin as the board didn’t update for hours before the event ended XD ah well.

I’m glad they’re giving us a proper chance at getting greased up deaf guy again without having to spend clams. I only just missed out on him, Death’s Mom and Detective Scrotes so I’m hoping I can get all three this time round.

This is one the smarter things TinyCo has done with an event and making The Don available to all is a terrific move. It allows people to catch up with characters/skins they may have missed because they weren’t yet playing the game or couldn’t complete them when they were available and there is incentive to get them because they all have a task which helps get the three characters you need to get to get a chance at The Don. Plus, there is an advantage for those loyal players who have played right along in that they may have some or all of the characters and have a quicker path to The Don. I have all three and am working on The Don as we speak (three-day timer!). But I am also contemplating dropping some clams on some of the characters/skins I don’t have to have some quest lines to do this weekend. For all the bad things in the game the last six months, if this event can stay relatively glitch-free, it will be a home run for all players no matter where they are in the game.

Being fairly new to the game, I basically missed all of the stuff that they are bringing back for this. The only ones I care about getting from this are GUDG, Jillian and Death. It looks like Death and Jillian are only available if you “shell out” clams so looks like GUDG is my main and only focus right now.

Really looking forward to mob wife bonnie. I missed out on that by a few 1000 cookies and was pissed. Not looking forward to losing Don Corelone which hopefully won’t happen, but even if Tiny Co does push a fix, sometimes you can never know what will happen.

they reeeeeally want us to get Greased up Deaf Guy…i was able to send something like 7-10 characters to collect each item. at first there’s only a few listed but as i sent them on jobs, others would appear in the list. fun! lol

I hope I get deaths mom! The thing I wish tiny Co would do is use more then just a few characters for jobs. Like star wars guys or Cleveland Jr. Or Alice Cooper? I was excited to see they were going to use the 2015 characters and then they barely used any of them? Don’t understand. Sniffle-Sniffle 😢

Yay, another chance to get Greased Up Deaf Guy, I was incredibly stuck during the concert-event, missing out on him, so I’m glad to see him back and try once more to get this slippery guy. 😉
As for the info on GUDG posted above, did you leave out the characters/costumes that can be earned once more in this event? As it’s not the whole list?
I typed this while switching back and forth between colornote and the game, maybe useful to someone out there: (Here and there, there’s a question mark instead of the proper task-time, due to some people having multiple tasks for GUDG, and because I don’t have robocop.)

How do I see what’s available in my Mystery Box? I’m not spending clams on the off chance – I have most Charachters, anyway.

It is specifically coded for this box ONLY to have a “hidden “prize 10. Basically if you win mob consuela(which is prize 2), it auto-awards you Consuela as well. 🙂 Enjoy! 😀

TinyCo strikes again: Don Corleone has 3 day timer with no warning!
I already had Death’s Mom on her 24 hour task, so won’t be able to get the required 4 movie tickets without clams unless they drop nicely.
My game has two Mystery Boxes, there’s Vol.1 in the shop (with Bad Trip Stewie and Ricardo) however Vol.2 (with Mob Wife Bonnie) is appearing on the startup screen.

I gave up on the mobster event so I don’t have scrotes and Halloween was a bit too hard so I only got a few items for deaths mom, glad I can get them now.

I already have GUDG, Scrotes and Deaths Mom however instead of dropping items needed for Don Corleone, my game is making them drop items from the Xmas event which just finished. Have already reported in game.

Hey guys, if you get Kingpin Consuela from the first mistery box and you dont have the character you are getting both. I just saved a lot of clams. I also have trouble with the second mistery box, cant find it in my shop.

It would have been nice if they had a “Skins” Mystery Box and a “Character” Mystery Box
125 Clams for a character I don’t have I would do,, but paying 125 Clams and chance of only getting a skin?
My Mystery Box contained
Jillian – I would like to have
Cupid – Don’t really care too much but would not be upset if I got him
Seamus fireman skin – don’t care about
Bad Trip Stewie Skin – don’t care about
So with there only being a 50% chance of getting a character,, and only a 25% chance of getting the character I want, this particular box is a pass for me.
Again,, characters in one box and skins in another would have been a better way to go if you ask me.

skins 75 clams and I think more people would jump on the mystery boxes.

Well this shows how much harder the game was this year as last year I think I had everyone, this year alot I haven’t got. Since the system for only u locking items on the order they want. Glad they bought this back though I recall being so close for Gerased up deaf guy!

I’ll be using this week to finish all of the questlines that I didn’t get around to doing during the Christmas event, as I already have all the characters and outfits released this year, but I’m happy to see that those that didn’t win Don Corleone from the Mobsters event will now have a chance to get him, so good luck to everyone that haven’t got him yet, and I hope you manage to unlock him. 🙂

I don’t have the Jerome task, is that a task for the stripper costume?
“Quagmire Record the Party” is a task for the Glenda Vajmire outfit. If you don’t have the costume, you can’t do the task.
“Jillian Chase a Butterfly” does exist as well, I have it in my list. Do you currently own Jillian?

I didn’t get Don Corleone last time, partly because my game kept freezing up and I didn’t get to finish the event. So it is nice that I will be able to nab him this time (although it means getting stuck with Scrotes). There are a couple costumes too, but I don’t have the clams (finally saved up enough to get Cleveland) and wouldn’t be interested enough to waste them on it if I did.

Well… sigh… I was excited about the opportunity at a second chance to get characters you might have missed before… (for about 10 minutes) before the first bug hit.
I WON Don Corleone during the Mob event. Now, he is now in my town with a 4 day timer and I’m required to get “stuff” to “win” him again for the second time. I did not plan to do this because I already won him once. TinyCo should not take an earned item from my game and then require me to re-win back it to keep it.
Is anyone else having this problem? I’m concerned that the previously earned character will be taken from my game!
He is no longer on FaceSpace either.
I seriously hope this is not going to happen to the others characters I also already have or bought also.

I bought The Judge since I had some spar Clams. All I have to do is wait for the tasks to unlock Detective Scrotes and Don Corleone will be mine.
As for Mystery Box Vol. 1:
– Characters: Belgard, Cupid, Jillian, Richardo, and Ruth
– Skins: Bad Trip Stewie, Stripper Jerome, Fireman Sheamus, and Kingpin Consuela

I already had Don Corleone in my game from the mob event.
With this update, he now has a lock with a timer and items that need to be collected to unlock him.
I have sent an in-game message to Tinyco as I do not want to lose a character that I already had.

Funny pun considering we’re talking about Detective Scrotes haha! He’s the only one I need and I can try to get Don Corleone! I started playing somewhere during the Fat Father event so I wasn’t far enough to really get much. A mystery box for lots of cookies screwed me out of getting Mr Washee Washee too so I’m stoked to finally get him since I’ve had his Super Cowboy USA Hotdog Rocket Ship American Cleaners Number One building as a constant reminder of my first time screwing up in this game since May.

Have you seen any glitches with the mystery box? I got an error stating there was an error with my payment. I have plenty of clams. Also I am needing a o get the detective but he is showing locked yet. Any suggestions? Thanks

As far as that, could be connection with your app market. Try logging out of app market, shutting down game, restart device. Log back into app market, relaunch game, try again.
You may need to contact your App Market for payment inquiries if that does not help.

I got the same error, than realized I had everyone in the mystery box. Im guessing it triggers the error since there’s nothing else to get from the box.

I also got an error with the mystery box after using it once, but I think that’s by design to block you when you have everything it offers. After my first purchase, I realized I had the rest.
