Hey there Cheddar Heads!
I wanted to get an idea of just where in the Event all of you are at, the items you are all struggling with. get some good input and results as to the drops, and all that other pondering stuff you all wonder about where others are in the game so I put out the Football Challenge Poll to see. The Poll is now closed.
To give you all an idea, here are the results. Keep in mind though, most of these were from BEFORE the drops started changing for the better last night and today, so many of you may be even further than noted in the Poll or completed a Character/Costume too.

Let’s take a look at the Football Challenge Poll.
What Characters have you unlocked so far?

| Football Jersey Chris | 95% |
| Rob Gronkowski | 82.70% |
| Fit Brian | 10.50% |
| None | 2.60% |
Looks like the Majority of you have 2 out of the 3 unlocked.
What Characters have you Purchased for Clams?

| Tom Brady | 23.10% |
| Cam Newton | 16.20% |
| None | 74.90% |
Most of you are not spending on the Premium Characters offered so far.
What Characters/Costumes have you got from the Scoreboard?

| Richard Sherman | 34.40% |

| 1 | 2.50% |
| 2 | 18.60% |
| 3 | 46% |

Most of you are on Game 3. With Game 2 & 5 both close for the next spot.

How many Jerseys on average do you get a day?
| 0 to 3 | 22% |
| 4 to 6 | 55.10% |
| 7 to 9 | 19.40% |
| 10+ | 3.50% |
Average looks like 4 to 6 a day more common.
At what average percent do you get your Jerseys daily?
| 0-10% | 4% |
| 11-20% | 4.30% |
| 21-30% | 8.10% |
| 31-40% | 20.80% |
| 41-50% | 19.20% |
| 51-60% | 15.40% |
| 61-70% | 18.40% |
| 71-80% | 7.20% |
| 81-90% | 1.50% |
| 90% + | 1.10% |
This one is interesting as it seems the Majority are falling anywhere between 31-70% drops.
Do you feel the Jerseys should be an Always drop?
| Yes | 91.50% |
| No | 8.50% |
Seems we are pretty much in unison on our thoughts on this one. 😉

How many Gloves on average do you get a day?
| 0 to 3 | 69.30% |
| 4 to 6 | 28% |

At what average percent do you get your Gloves daily?
| 0-10% | 10.10% |
| 11-20% | 8.70% |

| 61-70% | 9% |
| 71-80% | 12% |
| 81-90% | 4.50% |
| 90% + | 8.70% |
This one is all over the place as the % drops bounce from 21-30, 41-50, then 71-80 for averages. The rest being close as well. So, results are interesting on this one.

How many Energy Drinks on average do you get a day?

| 71-80% | 2.30% |
| 81-90% | 1.10% |
| 90% + | 2.80% |
Seems like most of you get the Energy Drink drops at 10% or less. Very interesting.
On average, how long does it take you to make one First Down in the Football Field?
| 0-4 hours | 22.10% |
| 5-8 hours | 34.50% |
| 9-12 hours | 13.80% |
| 13-16 hours | 7.90% |
| 17-20 hours | 5.90% |
| 20+ hours | 15.80% |
At this rate, it looks like 5-8 hours is the most common one with 4 or less hours a close second.
From your current position, how likely do you feel it would be for you to get to Touchdown Jesus?

| Very Unlikely | 75.70% |
| Unlikely | 16% |
| Likely | 5.30% |
| Very Likely | 3% |
Most of you feel that he is an impossible dream with these results.
For PREMIUM Players, how much of the game do you feel you can finish at it’s current rates?

| 0-50% | 45.10% |
| 51-75% | 19.30% |
| 76-80% | 8.60% |
| 81-85% | 7.30% |
| 86-90% | 6.70% |
| 91-95% | 4.10% |
| 95%+ | 9% |
For those spending Clams, it looks like you still feel you will only get about half of the Event done, a lil more up to 75% but not much.
For FREEMIUM Players, how much of the game do you feel you can finish at it’s current rates?

| 0-50% | 62.40% |
| 51-75% | 23.50% |
| 76-80% | 7.50% |
| 81-85% | 3.50% |
| 86-90% | 2% |
| 91-95% | 0.40% |
| 95%+ | 0.80% |
What I find interesting is that Premium and Freemium Players alike are pretty close on the top results that 50% is common and up to 75% in second place. Most of you feel you will only make it halfway on this Event.
Lots of interesting results in this one, and yes… I did forward them on already. Like I said, some of you are already seeing results change and improve. I am hoping with the 3rd and final Phase hitting later tonight that more of you will be able to move faster and further in the Event.
Are you seeing improvements in the drops now since doing this poll? Are your results now better or worse with the new additions? Do you feel your chances at Touchdown Jesus are getting better or same with the drop changes? Let us know.
~Bunny

Just curious if you will be putting out another poll after this mercifully ends. I know the drops increasing helped but just curious how a larger sampling of players finished. In my case I went from no chance of seeing the final weeks content to getting it yesterday which still allowed no chance to finish so I tapped out( no pun intended) and will wait to see what’s next or if I’m really done.

As much as people complain, here’s the question I’d like to see polled: If this game had original characters and objects instead of Family Guy, how likely is it you would continue playing? I have a strong feeling the top answer would be 0%.

Doesn’t look like Football Jesus is attainable at this point. I’m still not getting any pom poms to drop from the field and am now on Game 6 needing 7 of them to complete it. For Game 5 ended up buying them out and the field marker still doesn’t show that any will drop. Didn’t get any mouth guards to date either.
Guess I’ll try to get Cheerleader Bonnie and be done with it. I think, however, if the glitches didn’t happen a couple of weeks ago with not being able to collect the football with the game crashing for 3 or 4 days, progress could’ve been made down the field and there may have been a slim chance of getting him.
Just my two cents worth!

Unfortunately the new weeks content just further cemented everyone’s views on not being able to finish the event. The items for the blind refs take 6 hours to get 1 and you need 2 to create 1 laser, and it takes 2 lasers to take out one ref.
There is no way any freemium players are going to get TD Jesus. I’m guessing that was by design? I don’t want to buy more of the 125 clam buildings to help me get the refs if they are going to change it all on Monday.

with all the pain going on I have to say I LOVE fit Brian’s Carb Load task animation, it reminds me soooo much of some of those body builder types that you can observe quite often. Very nicely done!
And yeah I’ve finally managed to get fit Brian, so now I should hopefully be able to progress a little faster in getting the remaining 10 energy drinks I need for game five. And then the ones for game six. Phew…!

the other football guy has now started dropping two energy drinks instead of one. we’re getting there… 😉

just finished game five (I paid nine clams to finish when I had 14/15 energy drinks) and as reported elsewhere I now only need another 8 to get the 22 energy drinks needed for game six, the 14 energy drinks (as well as the 3 footballs) carried over from game five to game six, so hopefully I should be able to get Bonnie tomorrow afternoon the latest 🙂
of course this means I have no chance in hell to get Jesus ( I might just get the Peter costume) but there we go. Nine clams for a costume is ok with me 🙂

This poll is AWESOME!!! I LOVED that you did this and appreciate the results very much! 😄Energy drinks have increased in dropping only bc Fit Brian drops two now, but sometimes he still drops nothing for me and Richard Sherman VERY rarely drops them in my game 70 hours and he has dropped 2 out of those 7 times, ugh. But as for your questions, I’m still on game 5 (due to energy drinks) and I DO still feel as though Touchdown Jesus is an impossibility as of now. TC’s support staff member, Peter, is really argumentative compared to the very helpful ladies with whom he works, and he misinformed me AGAIN about drop rates and offered some very bogus, inverted math to support himself, lol. I can forward the screenshots of our conversation if you’d like.

You are welcome to email them to me if you want… hang in there though with support. I know a new crew came aboard recently, and as anyone just starting a new job knows it will take a lil bit to get your bearings. I definitely want to approach them though if misinformation is being given, so feel free to email me that kind of stuff anytime.

I finished game 3 this morning thanks to the upped rates (way to late, was impossible without them, if they were there from the start think 8 games was possible, now no chance imo)
any way, finally got Sherman (excited, 3rd favourite NFL player behind ‘The “I’m just here so I don’t get fined” beast’ and Dan Marino).
And then I looked at game 4, needed 7 pom poms. Here comes the problem, only way to get them according to my game, astronaut peter and the new peter costume.
Now correct me if I’m wrong but the peter costume is locked as I cant get to this week. (Even if I can I won’t unlock him in time) and Astronaut peter is clams…
I’m sure Pom Poms used to be available for first downs, but they’ve no longer been there since the upped rates. I’ve fully turned the game off and back on and it’s only the same 2 characters getting them.
is this a glitch? If so does anyone know how to fix it? if not I’m not even going to try this week and take a break from the game (bet they’ll extend it if I do stop playing the event haha). No point playing the event anymore as I’ve unlocked every thing I can. :S
I don’t know which thread to ask this on so I thought this one looked good as people were talking about drop rates/progression 😛

Look at the rundown post, you will see that you actually get them from the Football Field. You just had not got to that point in the game yet. Now that you are, you will start to see them drop from there. 😉

Just like to say thanks for running this, and I don’t know about everyone else but it is extremely hard to try to nail down a percentage of how often something drops. I just guessed as I have no clue, maybe that’s why you were so surprised at some of the results of those.

I’ve gotten 9 energy drinks in the last 24 hours, compared to 4 over the previous 4 days, which is odd because “drops were working as intended.” 😛 Thanks for rattling the cages. 😉

how is this mathematically possible, given the length of tasks?
LikeLike
Times are approximate…
Yesterday:
3pm Fit Brian 2 drops
5pm Richard Sherman 1 drop
11pm FB 2 drops
Today:
7am FB 2 drops
Richard Sherman 1 drop
Bitch Brian 1 drop
If you take away that I already had them on the tasks, it’s a little over 16 hours. If not, a little over 24.

Interesting results. I still feel pretty much the same, as the energy drinks are just not dropping. I finished game 5, but I am still only getting 1-4 a day, even with Brian dropping 2, since he has only dropped them 1 out of 3 tries. Sherman drops them once out of 4. That is the major sticking point in my game, and I have already spent as much as I intend to on this event.

Thanks for the poll. The only one I feel I fell out of the ordinary was on the glove drops. Since I started phase 2, I have had a 100% drop rate on the gloves. Not a single football guy has fail to drop them for me.
LikeLike
Interesting… But Somehow I don’t trust all the numbers. 10% or less for energy drinks? Did people really sent characters more than 10 times and got only one back? With those lengthy tasks that seems highly unlikely. Then again, maybe it’s all 0 percenters: my first two tries netted me nothing, so that might be an explanation. Very few tries with no result. Ok, moving on…
Concerning the gloves: that started really slow, with quite a few failed attempts, but by now it seems pretty much an always drop. Don’t know if TinyCo adjusted, or if I am just really lucky.

Drop rates have improved for the most part. However, now that I’m on game 4, pom poms don’t seem to be available any other way than acquiring Cowboy Astronaut Peter and Making Peter Exaggerate Accomplishments.
I can’t find how to do the latter unless it requires Astronaut Peter because when I click on the second method, it takes me Al Harrington’s shop to create something. Am I missing something here?
Cheers!

You can also get them via advancing on the field. I know that’s how most of them dropped for me. But yes, Exaggerate Accomplishments is a Cowboy Astronaut Peter task.

Interesting … it doesn’t show a drop for them anymore when I go to the field. I know I saw them before, but haven’t in a long while now.

Restart your device if you still don’t see them and are in the Scoreboard Games that require them. They only come from those two options… Get Astronaut Peter from Mystery Box (it’s a Costume, that’s why it takes you to Al’s looking for it) and the Football Field First Downs.

Hi Bunny … they started showing after I completed the current on field actions and making progress again. Thanks!

Sounds like you just had triggered the First Down BEFORE the new requirements of them hit the game then. Which is normal due to the First Downs automatically jump to the next one as soon as you completed the prior one. 🙂

For the past two days I’ve seen improved drops (x3) so that was very nice and I was able to finally win Game 3 and get Richard Sherman. Game 4 was much easier than Game 3 to Win, and Game 5 I’m working on now. So yay to TinyCo for listening to us : )

It seems gloves are getting to be always, at least from falling the players. It’s been about a week since I got a coin instead. What makes the gloves hard to get and shows my progress down the field is that the jerseys aren’t an always drop. Starting off there were four characters on a for hour task and it takes one hour to turn a jersey into a player. So it seemed perfect. Every four hours I’d finish turning the last batch of jerseys into players and I’d have four more ready to go.
But I’d tend to only get 2. So if I need two sets of gloves to move down the field it becomes an eight hour ordeal instead.

Very interesting result. Surprising that most players including premium are thinking that they will not finish this event. In the past the short 1-3 week events were able to be completed even by freemium players, but this time around it is not looking so. I see a change in the way TinyCo is running events…buy premium items or else there is no chance at all that you will finish. BUT, there also appears to be a backlash of players not “buying” into the premium items anymore. I for one am not buying any more premium items, and go into every event knowing that I will not finish. That takes some of the fun out of the game, but I am still playing because I love Family Guy. Honestly I am getting more entertainment out of reading your blog because I get to see the items and screen shots that I will never see in my game.

Right around the time this survey came out, drop rates on jerseys, gloves, and energy drinks all seemed to dramatically increase. They were shockingly low, as I commented in the WTD post, prior to that. But they seem to be truly “common” now, dropping more often than not. Probably a bit too late though unless they extend the event or dramatically cut back the requirements for the last few games.

Looking at the poll results, it looks like people have worked out that this has become a money pit. Unless your willing to part with a lot of real cash, your not going to get anywhere. I think it started after the valentine event. Since then, it seems that if you don’t buy everything from the start, it’s pointless carrying on. Even if you do make the odd clam purchase, it doesn’t help and you still fall way behind. Add to that the bugs and crashes, and it’s becoming a really poor game.

Can’t say I disagree. This is one of those freemium games that’s become impossible to complete without premium purchases.

Thanks for doing this. Energy drinks continue to prohibit me from advancing. Still on game 5 since Friday. Even with Brian dropping two every 8 hours and Sherman a miss more than a hit, don’t foresee getting Bonnie until event is about over. Instead of putting up a box of chance for 145 clams it would have been better to add another character to help collect them. Perhaps they will after seeing the results.

I think the most important number of all is that LESS THAN FOUR PERCENT were even on Game Six which you need to finish to launch the new content (presumably tonight). In the two days since the poll was taken, I expect that number to have increased, but not by very much as the new drop rates just went into effect recently. So the way I read this (and I am giving a huge benefit of the doubt by QUADRUPLING that percentage), 85 percent of the players polled WON’T see the new content on time as we enter the final week. And that would appear to include premium players. Perhaps making a requirement to have the quest line finished isn’t a good trigger for the new content since so many won’t get the full allotment of time to play it and even come close to finishing Game Eight.

good poll results. i am sure this tip has already been giving, but just want to mention it in case it has not been given.
everytime you open the game, go straight to the football field and tap on exclamation mark, then click on the task that are not done. it will take you to them and only click on that character, then go back to the football field and repeat for other task. there are times i can get multiple downs, when they use different character task for downs.
ex. one time the down was bonnie, joe and item, the next down was lois, quagmire, and item, the next down was a repeat of one the task i just used.so i just got 2 downs at the same time.
another tip is ever since i finally made it to game 4 week 2, i always have bonnie twerking it, and joe patroling the school, so that they are always ready for a down, as they are the only two that are needed for downs, that don’t constantly drop material.

I’ve noticed since they added all the extra Dog tasks last night my Jersey drop rate has gone from 75% down to 25% at best.
Since unlocking Fit Brian the football guy hasn’t dropped any energy drinks in 6 attempts whereas I was getting 60-75% drop rates.
So it seems as I get more ways to get things the chance of getting them drops.

I’m not really seeing an improvement in drops I need. Out a four possible energy drinks I could’ve gotten this morning, I got only one. So 1 out of 22 (If I’m remembering correctly) for game six.

same here, the enrrgy drinks have been disastrous. i am making more progress in collecting ‘rare’ baby oil drops than ‘common’ energy drink drops, even if i correct for the fact that the baby oil tasks are six hours and the energy drink tasks are ten hours. this is still very bizarre but i will certainly not try and buy bitch Brian. i’m just going to continue to try. slowly slowly catchy monkey 😉

As the majority of people were on Game 3 at poll time they wouldn’t have known what energy drinks were which would account for the high result for 0 or 0%
But even though drop rates have improved Game 4 is still a huge stumbling block, Sherman hasn’t contributed at all in 3 attempts, Fit Brian will take the best part of 3 days to get the energy drinks so the majority will still be on Game 5 at the weekend.
