Dear TinyCo: I Would Really Like…..

NOTE: As stated clearly below, I wanted a POSITIVE Post. This is not a What The Deuce. If you wish to vent, don’t bother commenting.

This is for creativity and ideas, NOT to vent. Those disrespectful and not caring of a simple request will be moderated. I find it ridiculous people still don’t have respect for the Addicts in this regard.

Hello There Clammers!

Li'l Peter Griffin

With me under the weather and dealing with some personal stuff on this end, I wanted to kind of take a step back and out of the Current Event and focus on something positive for the game. Things we have hopes and wishes for that will be changed and/or added to the game.

We’re nearing the 2 Year mark of TQFS!  As the game continually evolves we still notice comments about upcoming items/features you’d love to see in the game.  This is a central place for you to put your game requests (features, events, characters, decorations etc) for TinyCo to see all of your great ideas!

Remember… TinyCo does listen to YOUR requests (and they do read this blog!) as evident by the Character Locator, Sell Feature, Coin Collector, and so many more items it’s hard to name them all.

To start us off, here are some thoughts from me…

  • More options for roads then just roads: Dirt, Cobblestone, Pavement, etc.
  • Resize ALL items in the game: Over time items have been added to the game that don’t seem to be sized the same. Maybe to help with the “space” issues, many of these can be resized or even downsized so we can fit more into the limited land we have.
  • Land: I know this one it a tough one, do to the limited space TinyCo can offer in the game to keep with the RAM limits… but I really am hoping more comes along soon.

There you go. Feel free to sound off in the comments below of some cool, fun, innovative, and new ideas of things YOU would like to see in the game in the future.

~Bunny

  1. I’m seeing lots of good ideas in the above comments..
anyways more land obviously. or maybe a type of Ollieland/North Pole type of separate play space that is permanent so I finally have space to put things!
I would LOVE to see a James Woods character!
and for a building: Big Pete’s House of Munch! I thought of that sooo long ago and I really want it for some reason.
I saw someone mentioned a St. Patrick’s Day event with Peter’s real father and I second that!
Also, events are becoming impossible to complete without spending tons of clams, as a deticated player who checks the game VERY often during events, I feel I should be making better progress.
ALSO Peter’s Pee Pants outfit came around twice, I was SO close, maybe 3 items needed out of something that required 100 so I would love to get a 3rd try at that.
In general I really enjoy this game, keep up the good work and..love ya?

  2. More land or a second play space (like the interior of the Griffin House)
An alphabetized inventory system for much better efficiency in locating things
    A Blue Harvest Event
    A Road to…_____ Event
Premium characters to ACTUALLY be used 😉
Coin 2 clam exchange rate (I have over 22 mil ‘pretty useless’ coins) (1 mil coins = 1-2 clams)
    More multiverse events and/or content
Full rotation for certain items (at least for houses if not for all decos/buildiings)
Better math computations for ability to collect items WITHIN an event
Better math calculations which reflect drop rate words more accurately (common should be common! Lol…40 hours of NO drop from Richard Sherman was def not reflective of TC’s stock response to drop rate complaints – no item doesn’t actually increase in chance to drop after ‘x’ number of tries, and time of task doesn’t seem to change drop rate probability either.
More options for roads/sidewalks/streams – cobblestone, concrete, brooks, a river?
A cancel task button instead of ONLY speed up clam option
Use more characters (non-premium) for long term players during events (Stewie, Cleveland, Consuela, etc.)
New characters such as: Muriel, Neil, Evil Monkey, Susie, Ollie, Carl, Bottomtooth, Giant Chicken.
Voices for everyone – if possible bc of lisencing/copywriting – everyone deserves to be heard!
And MOST importantly! – Bunny and Alissa! They RULE the info and ins and outs of this game, so can we PLEASE honor these amazing women!? Better them than that glow stick guy who no one’s ever heard of or feels strongly about, lol.

Thanks for listening and for your time. I appreciate your consideration of these topics and wishful ideas for the game! LOVE this game – even when it’s bumpy! Lol

  3. I would love to be able to trade my millions of coins for some clams – for example, 1 million coins can be traded for 100 clams.

I would also like to see more use of previous characters in events. It could be made fair by varying the drops – if someone has twenty characters, they would have to collect twice as much as somebody with 10 characters – but, we can use all the characters.

I’d like to see all drops changed to common or always on events. If necessary increase the numbers.

  4. Three things that I have often wished to myself before this post popped up:

    1) the ability to send multiple characters at a time on a quest of the same length of time. i.e. Send all characters (not already on a task) on an 8 hour task, or 24 hour task.
    2) as many others said, the ability to cancel a task, at the loss of the chance item. Would be SO helpful when you need a character for a quest.
    3) the ability to queue up tasks for characters! For example, if I need to send Peter on a two hour task many times to get a certain item, it would be nice to queue up that task, say, up to five times, to prevent having to log in every 2 hours to claim and restart! Or queue up different tasks in a row rather than the same task. PLEASE especially consider this. 🙂

  5. Would love to see all the old animals like the lawn tiger, party camel, peterdactyl, the republican and democratic elephant and donkey gorilla and kitten plus all the others. Also a way to where we can swap items from our inventories with friends.

  6. I would personally like more homes, places I can say my characters live. We have so many business buildings and so little houses. They Can’t all be staying at the Barrington Hotel. Something for unused characters like maybe a Casino where we can spend our coins by putting characters on a 24 hour task with the shot of winning something. Even if it’s only premium characters that can be tasked for this. prizes can vary from a clam to past freemium items we may have missed out on to something new and more rare to get.

    • The casino would be a good idea. I’ve played other games with slot machines that offered random prizes. Usually the prizes are worthless, but you have a real chance of getting something good. Tiny Co. could also put in an option for clams that makes it more likely that you would get a rare item. For instance: for at 50 clams, you are guaranteed to get an uncommon to epic reward. 25 clams, you are guaranteed a rare to epic reward, 150 clams guarantees you to very rare or epic, and 250 guarantees you epic. Otherwise you can spend coins to play normally with a chance to win anything in the slots machine.

  7. I really don’t understand how there hasn’t been a tie in for St. Patrick’s Day yet…maybe it is coming this year, but with the brewery in Quahog and Peter meeting his “real dad”, Mickey McFinnegan, seems like a no brainer to me. The sheep O’Brian is another character here, too. This would then also be the obvious time to bring Peter’s mother Thelma into the game.

And since they are in Ireland, of course Brian and Stewie would head over to London and bring in characters from Jolly Farm Revue….Mother Maggie, Melody Sheep and Pengrove Pig.

Most of the other things I’d like to see have been mentioned by others…lots of good and helpful ideas there.

  9. Hello,
Long-time player, first time poster. I love this website, because it has been so helpful as I go through the game! Here are some things I would like to see in the game:
-I think it would be fun to see a hockey-themed event in the game, complete with star players you can unlock/purchase. The Stanley Cup playoffs (the Super Bowl of hockey!) start in about 6 weeks, so it’s definitely something to think about 😀

-Another idea would be an event revolving around a monster snowstorm that hits Quahog. Why not have some fun with this lousy winter weather? Lol

-An event involving the summer or winter olympics would be fun too, along with “athletic” versions of the main characters competing in different events.

-I second the ideas of alphabetizing the inventory and/or sorting it by event.

-I’d love to see more seasonal building skins. I really liked the one for Quagmire’s house last Halloween (I don’t think I was able to get any of the others).

-Some of my favorite FG episodes are the ones with Brian/Stewie storylines (especially “Road to Rhode Island”). I’d love an event revolving around some goofy adventure they have together!

Hope I’ve given you some good ideas, Bunny! 🐰Take care and feel better soon .

  12. A cancel button!

Or like a an undo button, like revert everything to what it was 1 minute ago. E.g. for times when you send someone on a the wrong task by accident or for people who have inadvertently spent clams.

  13. Dear TinyCo, what I would really like …..

A better districts to events ratio and more items that come directly from the show (instead of just outside pop culture stuff that are viewed as impulse purchases). The events and their make up are what is driving me away from the game. The football event wasn’t horrible because at least it tied back to the “Patriot Games” episode (which was a terrific episode even for non-football people), but what do Gronk and Cam and Favre have to do with Family Guy? This is true for many of the events.

Challenges and events that are actually planned out properly and can be accomplished as presented. When challenges and quests are laid out before putting them in to our games, they need to be reviewed: are they mathematically possible, are all the characters/buildings available to players, does this mechanical work? I think they call it quality control. I would gladly accept time away from the game with nothing at hand while some quality control is performed as opposed to getting into events and finding that many things don’t work as intended or I can’t progress in a quest line because I don’t have characters or buildings available in my game. Someone is deciding to put Task A in the quest line; why isn’t someone else verifying that Task A will work and that it is possible for all players who are at that stage in the game?

Continued success and longevity for TinyCo and this game. Despite the many flaws and glitches, this is a terrific game. And it could be even better with some of the changes outlined by the fantastic players. We recognize that not all of them are possible, but here’s hoping that many that have to do with actual game play can become reality and make the playing of the game an even better experience.

  14. Things I would like to see:

-Little side quests for random characters that also give them new usable tasks (ex. Give Ida a small quest and in the end she has a new 12-hour task or something)
    -More American Dad stuff
-More character tasks put in buildings where it makes sense instead of the Griffin house where it doesn’t make sense

    Like

  15. 1. When you select a character task that requires a building or decoration, and the building is in storage, have the building come out of storage automatically. I hate having to scroll through everything to find Bonnie’s pole so she can tweark it for a quest line.

    2. Some way to sell coins for clams, even if it is like 1 million coins for 1 clam.

    Like

  16. 1. More land.
    2. More themes for buildings, especially seasoned themes
    3. The ability to cancel a character action. (Sometimes you pick the wrong one in a hurry or send a character off on a 24hr task and then an hour later an event drops and its the worst feeling)
    4. More uses for Premium/Event Characters (We spend a lot or save for a long time to have enough clams to get that special character and it sucks that past the event they come from they dont help out and all these charcters end up in everyones inventory)
    5. Use for coins- maybe Premium Characters or Skins. At a certain point coins become obsolete and just pile on with no use. Why not create a type of system where you can unlock a character or skin for 5 million coin and x character actions or something?

  17. Basically, take everything from TSTO and copy it. Steal whatever software they are using and make the game larger. Its a shame to not have a Christmas Space, Star Trek, Halloween, etc. Because i don’t have any room for these items in my town due to lack of space. Even if the game doubles in size people will still play the game. I only play TSTO on my iPad due to the space, and it works because the town is huge and full of all my content. Nothing sitting in storage.

The “L” shape of the town is awkward, nothing can go in the ocean. The island item especially. Change the format of the town to be linear. Again Like TSTO.

Less Celebrity options, more classic family guy characters. I’m more inclined to complete the Cleveland Family or Swanson Family over getting football players and celebs I don’t care about. At least if they become useless they at least fit into the game better.

Do away with “districts” just release a new character with each level. This way leveling up has actual meaning to the game. Again like TSTO.

    • Beat me to it. Everything in their model is better. They’ve even been adding side quests that persist after an event is over. The rocket, the junk/recycle/monorial, Find Maggie, the Springfield Heights items, even classic things like the dog race and Scratch-R. There’s nothing to do in QfS but send people on jobs. And even that’s not fun because going through the list is too huge and I can’t decorate my town the way I like because space is so limited.

I’ve been slowly spending less and less time on this game and more and more on Tapped Out. The same goes for my money. I’m not having fun anymore here, and some changes really need to happen.

  18. I first would like to see a catalog. where say 90 days after and event, buildings, deco’s and Characters could be available. I would love to get the American Dad set complete and also I am a huge KISS fan and missed out on them because i started playing after they were in the Christmas event. Maybe some older characters could cost $500,000 coins not just clams. There or so many Outfits and Old Characters that i am sure people don’t have they may never be used again, but people would want for their personal collection.
Also in the inventory have a way to look for stuff either by event or relevance to characters that are being used in the current event. Say Brian needs the fire hydrant to complete a task, instead of having is blocked out, prompt to that item in your inventory.
Last there are so many more characters that could be put in the game, maybe a Seth McFarlane or Seth Green, themselves. Maybe some of the other things Seth did like Johnny Bravo, Dexter’s Laboratory or the Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy. Use the Multiverse Machine, a world where Seth stays at Hanna-Barbera instead of branching out and turning “Life of Larry” into Family Guy.
it would show some of the history of how Family Guy and all this got stated. That could be a year long event to keep people interested if they are not into the current event happening. Some people do not follow football or Star Trek, this way they would stay with the game and maybe something during the event comes up that they like, or they could stay on the path of they year long event.

  19. I’ve had an idea since Star Trek I guess I’ll share. At the end of the Star Trek event I really liked the 1 hour away mission with a chance for 5 clams. I had a big pile of the needed material saved up to send the team to the borg planet? or whatever it was and kept people on that mission for most of the last week, and then most all of the extended week. By the end I believe I had somewhere around 120-130 clams from it.

So here’s the overall idea. Let’s make the water area a new district and make certain things placeable in the water that make sense like islands and boats and caves with robotic fish. My thought is this district would be available early in the game for newcomers as a side district not tied to forward progress of the numbered districts. The district would bring Peter’s boat into the game to eventually be used similar to the away missions. The Jim’s Bank and Daggermouth cave storylines could be brought back in again, made a little easier since we already have those things in the game. I think the early district story would be about getting the boat, paying back the loan etc, and of course collecting items for Peter and the gangs fishing outfits.

After the main district storylines and costumes are done we would permanently have Peters boat at dock that we could take out to Clam Digger Island with a chance of 2-5 clams. The boat could be captained by Peter or Lois, Quagmire, Cleveland, Joe, maybe Seamus. Any other character in the game could go on the trip as long as there is at least one captain, maybe up to 5 total characters on the boat each trip. Some number of things like cans of fuel, cans of beer, captain hats etc would need to be collected by various characters in order to take the boat out. This could also require some number of coins – maybe having some options on the amounts of coins to spend on supplies upgrades that would increase the (perhaps common) chance payout from 2 to 5 clams or more. The needed items would always be available to collect and players could choose whether they want to take part or not. The tasks for these items would never be in conflict with an event or district task/drop. Tapping the boat at dock would show the material counts needed and the total materials currently available. I think the trip should be kept somewhat short, maybe a couple options on the length of time for increased chance? 4 to 8 hours I think would be plenty. I also like the idea that you might not bring back clams, but you could bring back fish. Then maybe you could accumulate a bunch of fish and trade them for a few clams at Peters fish stand. And if not fish, maybe you might bring back the hood ornament off a Mercedes or a new dolphin friend who just drops by for the Halibut. Oh Cod!

So basically after all the district part of it, the boat could be used as filler in the game, a chance to use some coins, a chance to get a few more clams, and a chance to use random characters.

    • A water-based event would be AWESOME! All the guys on a boat fishing and drinking….Mermaid Peter & Seamus could be used with new outfits for Joe & Cleveland as well, and DAGGERMOUTH! He could be the ultimate unlockable character for the event taking place on a ship at sea. Even the town Quahog Clam itself could be another character to unlock or (REALLY hate to say it -premium if need be).

  20. My biggest recommendation would be to offer a coin exchange for clams, something along the lines of 10,000 coins for 10 clams sounds about fair, I currently have over 12 million coins that do nothing but sit around, also allowing us to sell back everything we don’t want for coins / clams would be useful. Those are my thoughts.

-premium characters that are around 100 clams instead of 300

-new ways to add friends without facebook
    -did I mention MORE LAND!!!!

Less important but would still be nice

    *more land obviously
    * a way to sell all items not just trash cans…I mean I don’t need 5 different ghost portals just because they are different colors lol

  23. There are some really good ideas listed here, like adding deco-only roads, more skins instead of new buildings, a character or two costing a LOT of items so we have something to work for long-term, things to use millions of coins on, etc.

I’ll add that EVERY character should have a 24 hour task so they can be out of the way without being stuck in inventory.

What I’d most like to see are new districts with more quests and show-related characters. How about putting Francis, Diane, Muriel and other ghosts in the portal for those who don’t have them. Peter’s real dad (can’t remember his name…). Evil monkey and Neil Goldman finally? Jeff from American Dad? Joyce Kinney? Ollie? Carl? More Cleveland show characters? There are so many single-cutaway-gag or single episode characters in the game but quite a few recurring characters still absent.

Also PLEASE no show-related characters as final goals of long events intended for heavy-premium players. As a semi-premium player, Greased Up Deaf Guy, for one, was such a nail-biter…

Will we ever see the Giant Chicken again, or would that sort of signify the “end” of the game?

  25. I would like tinyco to hire a QA department to review events a month or so before they go live. Also being competent in math would be great as the current event is teaching us. This alone would alleviate a ton of player issues and frustration. Imagine having someone in house who finds out phase 3 of an event breaks phase 1 stuff before the rest of us experience it and lose a week of time while “a fix is being worked on”. If it’s not financially viable to do so, how about putting all of those Windows players to good use and have them play the events early as beta testers to shake out all of these issues. That one is a take care of two issues at the same time idea.

I would like to have the opportunity to unlock characters that have been in the game before I started playing the game.

I think it would be nice to have an event revolving around Brian’s ex-girlfriends.

I must say I find it a little weird that Stewie hardly has any tasks during events, such a pity, because Stewie is my personal favourite.

Maybe you could do some event based on (or placed in) Europe?
As an European guy I don’t feel for football, the characters from this event are complete strangers to me.

Different kind of roads would be great, maybe even a chance to build parkinglots?

  27. This is an honest to goodness response and not intended to be a WTD entry: I would really like the item totals for events to be planned and thought out completely BEFORE being placed into our games. This is almost Year Three and I get that glitches happen, but it is inconceivable to me how many times the math is completely butchered in events. Regular players can immediately see these flaws once content is dropped; it is beyond me how the people putting the game together can’t. With all the glitches and problems that already exist, drastically improving the game presentation would be one way to dramatically cut down on player angst in this area. Improvement in this area and adequately resolving the leaderboard debacle from the Christmas event would go a long way toward earning back my trust TinyCo.

Things I would like: Past event characters that are from the show coming back in districts later. For example, getting Angela and Opie from the brewery (I have these two already, this is just hypothetical) or Francis and Diane Simmons from the ghost portal. This way, people who missed characters from the show when they were offered during an event get another chance to unlock them later.

Peter’s onesie as a costume for him, with tasks to zap other characters. To be honest, I’m surprised this isn’t in the game yet. Maybe it could come with Big Pete’s House of Munch from the same episode.

For Halloween, an Annie Wilkes costume for Stewie. Maybe when he does a task in this outfit, he could have a special voice clip shouting about Gary cockadoody Busey or something.

An event themed around a martial arts tournament coming to Quahog and the characters competing. Unlockable costumes could include Sumo Peter, Tae Jitsu Lois, and the return of Steroid Stewie. Characters could include the Giant Chicken, the boxer who fights Lois, Meg’s bully, Jeff the abusive boyfriend and the return of Mr Washee Washee. For celebrities and movie characters, Jackie Chan, (yes, Peter would get an “Oh my God, it’s Jackie Chan!” task) Bruce Lee, Luther from The Warriors (with a Come Out and Play task), Lo Pan from Big Trouble in Little China, the Bride from Kill Bill, Ryu from Street Fighter, Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat, and the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mike Tyson, Sarah Connor, Snake and Predator.

Also add tasks for the npcs like they do the buildings. Like the Borg massaging quagmire, it was an awesome animation that they had to spend a lot of time on and it just goes away as the event ends. But if they made it where you purchased the Borg walking around your game you could have an added task to interact with him.

  34. I was thinking of this just the other day, and have not thought out the details, but boom…here is the place to post it, so here it goes.

How about sets of quests that are always there and ready to go when there is no event.

They don’t necessarily have to have a huge payoff, but completing quests IMHO are pretty fun. They don’t have to be mandatory quests. Just some that you could pick from a list that’s out of the way somewhere. I suppose it could be monetized as premium quests available, etc. There are tons of options here for character driven mini quests. Perhaps Chris avoids Herbert, or Quagmire chases women, or a bar adventure, etc.

Like I said, have not thought it through, but I suppose it would be a way to get players to check in on the game and see how these quests are going when there is not a major event happening.

  35. I know some of these are pipe dreams but, here we go. I know the number of comments must be overwhelming but try to give answers that actually correspond to the issue raised. I’ve received replies that give the impression that the issue wasn’t even read. Please find something to do with the 15 million coins I have. I’ve played from the start and no longer even collect them as they are basically useless. Find a way to incorporate premium characters in future events. It’s very disheartening to spend 250-300 clams on a character that has a usefulness of just a few weeks, and I have heard the answer it’s to allow new players who might not have had the opportunity of those characters or skins to still play. I’m fine with new players but find a way that somehow rewards the players who have put in the time to earn characters/skins to get some value out of them. Land, we all keep begging for that, I play the quest for stuff not the quest for stuff in storage. I can only speak for my self but I can’t stand sending a character on a multi hour quest for a chance at an item that is then needed to make an item to allow you the opportunity to then try something else in hopes of the reward. I would really like if you went back to what got you here. I played constantly, spent money on clams foolishly and enjoyed the game thoroughly. With each passing event lately I’ve played less and less, spent nothing, and have become more frustrated than one should with a game. Lastly if you guys at tiny co have read this far. Find someway to reward the ladies from this site. They have done more damage control for your game than I could ever imagine. I’ve read your Facebook page comments and they are down right scary with the replies ,and honestly without there hard work on this site I wouldn’t still be playing this silly little game. Thanks for listening.

  36. Story Suggestion: For next December, how about The Smiths vs Santa Claus.

Practical Function: An area-specific dump of all placed items (buildings, decorations) to inventory. Implement it by current screen location, district or land division within districts (as originally purchased/unlocked).
This should be doable fairly easily; just check every placed item from certain categories (e.g. buildings, decorations) to see if their X & Y axis placement falls within the defined range (e.g. part of city currently displayed, district location, etc).
Even if it means reloading the city layout (as with the initial load screen), it would still be faster and more efficient than putting away every single bush and fence segment.

    • If the toy train set from Christmas had been animated I would have used all my bells for track and trains. As it was I had a bunch of track going (some cool things happened when you crossed them) and two trains running in the two available orientations.

I would really like to see a return of American Dad, where the lucky folks who got the Smith family the first time around might get a little jump start on the event, and it could bring in even more characters from the show. Snot, Toshi, Barry, Principal Lewis, Bullock, Greg and Terry, Jeff. And for those of us who didn’t get them the first time around, we’d have to buy or earn the Smiths and Roger first.

That’s the event I’d love, love, love to see.

  39. One feature I would love to see is the ability to temporarily turn off the game controlled characters during a timed event that aren’t related to the event. For example I still have some quests from that resurrecting ghosts portal thing hanging out there, and since that isn’t a timed event during timed events I just set those quests to the side and concentrate on the event. But, the portal still keeps cranking out zombies which get in the way especially if the event is also generating game controlled characters. So for example right now I have football players, fans, and zombies all wandering around. In a case like that I’d to be able to suspend the zombies from generating until the end of an event.

  42. A cancel task button!! So many times I’ve sent some one on a 4hr task and then like 2 minutes later realise I need them for an event quest. Maybe pay x amount of coins to cancel with no rewards (ie if they would have dropped an item) would make events slightly less stressful, especially at the begining when youre not sure what’s needed now and what can wait

  43. I hope tiny co brings back characters from the 2014 Christmas and mobsters and ploozia and Halloween 2015 and Christmas 2015 and New Years 2015/2014 because I usually get uninterested with the game and then I stop playing but I was here since the clown hobo Peter event. And now i just got back into it so hopefully they bring back a couple of the characters I missed

  45. The ability to sort your inventory alphabetically. I may have a character stored that randomly has a material drop for a new event but it takes a while to scroll through the characters not knowing where on the list they are.

Stewie is a main character of the show but has barely been used in events unless you buy a new costumed version.

The option to cancel an action and forfeit any reward would be good.

  46. Okay, I probably am going to come up with more things, BUT…

    1. OLD Premium NON-FG Characters! Mr. miyagi was the only non-quahogian to be brought back in best of 2015 box… kind of a bugger. Not seeing the 4 Scary Guys from Halloween 2014 at Halloween this year AT ALL, was a serious bummer. I had 3,000 clams reserved for them alone and they never showed after waiming an entire yeAR for a chance((CLAMS!!! NOT a mystery Box!) to acquire them. Big miss on $$$ opportunity for TinyCo…

    2. Premium Mystery Boxes: Keep them! IF AND ONLY IF, each option in it has a “buyout price” in set Clam amount. Such as Millionaire Peter and Gyrating Eagle. I almost wanted the Eagle more than Peter. Instead of 150 clams a pop and buy til you get an item randomly, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE an option to buy at a 2.5 to 3 times rate. So, Peter and eagle instead of 150 at a FULLY random chance where you MIGHT get lucky and get one… how about just a(in this specific case!) 325 or 350 Clam option for EACH item in the box? That way, you have to choose which path works best for you instead of totally ignoring the box outright.

    3. Folding mirror building orientation. 100 million times, I want this option . They currently just side-turn them. From front facing to the left, to front facing down. WHY, OH WHY, can we not have a true mirror of instead of standard front facing to left, they just computer mirror the image to face to the right. Wouldn’t even be that hard. Would take me 1 day to mirror EVERY current item in the game. 😛

    4. If this game is literally called the Quest for Stuff, how about one MASTER Quest to rule them all? Like instead of having say 20 or 50 items to unlock whatever new freemium character that an be earned in a week or 2 or less, how about a near permanent or even two characters(one later on?) that take SERIOUS time investment to earn?

….. Let’s use the unreleased Evil Monkey for this. Especially with this being the Chinese New Year of the Monkey… How about he takes 20,000 bananas, 14,420 green smoke bags(Ha ha), 5000 reasons to get angry, 7,777 witty books, 10 milion coins, . Each of these items could come from many characters. ESPECIALLY the host of premium and then sadly underused characters we have. The more yoy have, the faster you get Monkeys items. Even better if they only unlock a necessary master task at max level. Such as these Level 25 characters like Peter, Vinny and others… Major usage of stockpiled or long earned coins, major usage 9f unused characters after an event is over, a character everybody and their brother wants, easy repeatability with a character for the next “bi-annual twice yearly super character quest for stuff!” Then the character earned could even do something special. Like alter your game stats temporarily for the promo period. Monkey could take a random task from an event and instead of like a Cheerleader Bonnie crystal task that is 6 hours, super long and hard to earn Monkey could have a 1 hour task just for the event. Bottomtooth could double your item payout or double coin payout from characters. That kind of idea.

    5. Just like above, game enhancers that can be earned, but not Clam bought. That way it doesn’t imbalance severely. Payouts could be: half task time for 24 hours, -, double build time, call for an extra worker for 24 hours, alternate usage of event currency(like the 14,000 things left over at end of Christmas I had could be turned in for maybe 1 Clam per 1,000 items last day of event. That way your hard work isn’t totally useless.

    6. Weekly events have been running fairly well as far as BASE character usage . When it’s a real event like this football one… previous to the Star Trek Event, I could see people come close to or only needing to spend MAYBE a few hundred clams, but not exceeding 500, to finish things up in the last couple of days if they “fudged” and weren’t grinding hard enough. Lately, it seems that the Events are planned at Premium players in a clear push to have it be almost mandatory to buy every Clam item avbl and to ALSO use clams to speed stuff up to reach this same end goal. TinyCo’s perceived way, IMO, to say if you’re freemium, we don’t care about you anymore. It should really be designed for a freemium player to make it through the even if they were to grind on a 70 to 80% item drop basis. Which has NOT been the case with this Event AT ALL. IF A premium player CHOOSES to buy premium stuff to HELP make it easier instead of being an outright requirement…. This football event… I spent WAY too many clams for how little I have received.

    7. The Premium characters… I literally would not have cared 2 cents if they weren’t characters for my collection. The ONLY familiar name was Bret Favre because he was in the There’s Something About Mary movie. If not for that… I’m not a non extreme sports fan. These guys… not even on my radar. Kinda disappointing.

    8. PATHS, PATHS, PATHS. Not roads, PATHS! The bloody footprints from Halloween, flowers from the v-day event, the paths that were in the raids during the mobster event that we didn’t get… These are SERIOUSLY needed. Why do they need to be attached to an event? Beer River is the only real path you could have really bought in quantity due to limited event currency and it has spawned mass amounts of creativity in me. This could be yet another serious coin dump that TinyCo REALLY needs.

    9. More decorative buildings. Not buildings that look like 4 square walls, a roof and a door. Why not more like Hi-Yah’s Dojo that are functionally decorative pieces?

    10. Some way to sort the inventory. Even if just by alpha or by date time attained… something is needed. The nature event items tend to be at the FAR FAR end of my inventory. It can take a solid 5 minutes to scroll all that way for what I’m looking for. Even a page skip. Like have 20 items on a page efore you turn to page 2 of inventory. Something along those lines. Just SOME THING to kull the excessively long scroll times.

    11. A more enhanced deco mode. Like being able to fade out buildings or trees or characters while placing other things. I believe TSTO game uses this, right?

    12. Screen 3d rotatibility. Meaning you can turn the orientation slightly left or right. Not locked into a helicopter viewpoint only. Like how Marvel Avengers is… I LOVE that feature even if is just a visual trick.

    23. A way to choose which characters finish when multiple characters are ready at once in the same location. I have an odd 10 characters in Peters house at any given time. I do not however want to finish the first 9 of their tasks before getting to the 10th character I actually want.

    24. More direct in contactness and transparency sith the player base DIRECTLY from them. No offense Bunny and Alissa, but real answers or info from a 1st hand source sometimes is just cool. Could not Tiny Matt like before or some kind of team or something do a weekly blog post saying whats going on with them or the game or maybe a BRIEF non event related FAQ with REAL questions and not, “How do I Get x character to do x task at x time?” More like maybe along the lines of… (honestly, like this whole board…) “Any chance of more swimming pools than the gold Peter one entering the game soon?” Fun stuff like that that’s not always answered with “coming soon” or “well forward that to the Team!”

    25. Crazy request to end this excessively long post… DOCKS for that huge expanse of water we have the size of 3 districts . Why we don’t have a Cove or Bay district yet is beyond my figuring. We have stacks of water based items! I mean, Peter’s job was a fishing boat captain for some time. Huge storyline potential on that one. 🙂

Hope this has given some kinds of insight. I’ll leave event planning to tinyco, but these mechanical game tweaks and simple enhancements would make BIG changes for the better for the game as a whole. Thereby increasing a clearly dwindling player base fed up with non-stop grinding even when paying $150 to $250 for the “privilege” to do so. That’s my say Tiny folks. What say you? 🙂

  47. Was thinking something else when I couldn’t sleep last night but not sure if this would’ be too much of a ram hog. What about a weather control where just for our amusement we can have rain, snow, wind, surely the sun doesn’t always shine in Qhahog. Also a night & day setting, again that can be switched on/off, that way those with devices that can’t handle it can still play.

I was also thinking maybe a Vegas themed event, where we get to have fun in mini Venice and such, also have little fun with casino mini games. It could tie in with the episode Road to Vegas.

Also what about something based on Boopa-Dee Bappa-Dee when the Griffins travel to Italy, we already have leaning tower Pisa in the game so someone at TinyCo likes Italy. This would be a great event area especially if we took them into the past, gladiators and such.

And finally, at last you cry, let’s have Stewie at his evil best, bring on the broccoli and let him run free, run for President, run the country, run the world or just run broccoli out of Quahog.

  48. How about an Atlantis event/district? This would involve a separate play area under the ocean and it would be like a new town to build, except all the buildings sunken. You could collect costumes and characters like scuba diver peter and quagmire, Poseiden, manatee meg and other ocean themed characters.

  49. With my inventory being so full there are a few things I would love:

More land to place all my items. Basically you need to double the space you offer now. It would also be a good way to spend all my coins I have!

Buildings to be smaller. Some of them are so large they take up entire blocks.

A trade system. I have a ton of decorations and other items I do not want. But I know other people might, who didn’t get them in those past events. Let me put them up for “sale” or trade in a marketplace. That way I can get items I missed out on and you don’t have to re-release things.

I would like to see a repeat task option. Since many times a single character spends the whole event doing the same task to get items to drop, it would be nice if I send them on a task with the option to choose how many times they repeat it. So if it’s an 8hr task and I choose to repeat it twice, then I can return in 16hrs and have them drop that item twice. Without having to check in and re send them on that task. I should also be able to collect an item after that first 8hrs even if they are still in the repeat task.

Thank you for the vacuum to collect all the coins! Now what can I use them for?

if we get more land can we also get more sidewalk features. Ability to add rivers and a parking lot that we can place all of our cars on?

I really enjoy this game for the city building and design aspect. It has been a real bummer lately since there are so many cool buildings and no space to place them, I am no longer able to play for design. I would love the ability to do so again.

Characters who get new outfits needs to do tasks to get them. If I am getting a new outfit for Brian, then he should be on the list of characters to perform actions to drop items for this costume.

With so many characters, more of them need to drop items. I understand that everyone is at different levels on the game and may not have all the characters, but it will give them a reason to want to get these characters if they can give them an advantage during the events. I am impressed that jasper drops items in this football event, as he is a character that isn’t used much and probably lots of people don’t have. I do feel Cleveland needs to be used just as much as the others as he is a main character on the show.

The events have gotten too busy. There is so much going on that I can never even finish them. I am always a week behind. And they have been getting prgressively worse. The Christmas one I wasn’t even close, and it wasn’t enjoyable with all the different items I have to store in order to pass storylines. There where 2 whole sections I Didn’t even get to unlock. I’m starting to enjoy the mini events that happen between the big ones like the lil Peter and lil chicken because I can actually finish them and collect everything. These events need some editing.

    • I just want to say that I REALLY like this Post. Extremely well thought out. 🙂

My only thing about it really is the trade system. SERIOUSLY nix it. It will DE-STROY what fun the game is.

This was kind of tried back during Christmas 2014 Event with getting and giving gifts to people from FB friends. That seems to have been pretty much abandoned though. Prob ably due to the linking to FB part… They should bring this back in some way besides just visually visiting their towns. My GF and I really bonded over that first Christmas. If there were NON-LIMITED things you could earn solely by visiting a limit of like 10 friends a day thougb, that I’m all for. 🙂

  50. would love to have a use for the majority of these premium characters in other events.. I see them to drop new items every now and than but the point of buyng these premium characters is to help with tasks… maybe instead of one/two a event we can try more… also more event items with coins vs 0. Coins right now are becoming less and less useful in any event.

    • Superb Owl Statue: 20 bought at 5k each = 100,000
Fantasy Football Wizard: 40 bought(yes, an army!) at 1,250 each = 50,000 coins.
Total spent: 150,000 coins out of a currently 14.2 Million. Barely 1% of my current coins.

Thinking back to American Dad Ev4nt(my 1st..l):
Sex Rose Bush: 2 bought at 10,000 coins a pop. 20K coins. About 85% of my coins at the time. And I PUSHED to get those coins in that event too. Now, I would have easily bought 100 of those bushes. Dropped a million coins easy.

So, TinyCo has fallen into this pit of supplying low cost coin items for the relatively new freemium players, but I don’t get the idea they are “meant” to be overtly attainable by we long time players(here more than 3 months let’s say). If they drop an item in an event in store for say 100 coins, we might buy 10. A new freemium player who uses coins, not clams, may have to STRUGGLE for that coin item they are really designed for so they get SOMETHING during an event…

Human logic wise, this is how a freemium game takes a freemium player to being premium. Offering few limited coin items and plenty of clam options. You get jealous and envious of what you otherwise don’t get. Then it’s either make that choice to spend money for pixels, or pay clams like TinyCo wants you to for real. Who’s the winner then? 😛
